    Iced Black Sesame Latte (16oz)
    Natalie A.

Go-to spot for a Black Sesame latte Haiku Teahouse looks like an unassuming cafe but it's drinks are phenomenal! I've come here on about two occasions, and the Black Sesame Latte is one of the best I've ever had. Its flavors are not overly sweet, and you can taste the quality of their coffee and ingredients. The place itself is small, so it's not the best place to get work done, but as a grab-and-go drink spot, it works. Parking is available on the street outside the building and inside of a parking garage nearby. Orders are taken on a self-serve kiosk. The second time I came around 9AM, they were completely out of the Black Sesame, which I found odd-make sure you have a backup plan in mind if they run out of stock! I'll definitely be coming back soon to get my coffee fix!

I've been to Haiku a few times now. I live really close, and it's only about a five minute drive, but it didn't really catch my attention at first. Usually, it isn't too crowded when I visit, so finding a table is easy. There also isn't much interaction with the baristas since orders are placed through the kiosk. I've tried serval drinks, including the banana matcha, cookie butter matcha, and corn einspannar. When I first tried the matcha, I thought it was just okay, it tasted pretty bland. The corn einspannar was definitely the standout at the time, although I got tired of the flavor after a few sips. I'm a huge fan of anything cookie butter, so I'm always looking for places that do it well. I decided to try the cookie butter hojicha, and it was amazing. The hojicha here is a 10/10! Later, I tried the cookie butter latte, and it was just as good. The cookie butter and coffee pair so well together. The main reasons I keep coming back is their cookie butter and hojicha. If they ever take the cookie butter off the menu, I'll be sad

Been here a couple times as they consistently launch new cream tops that sound quite appealing. Most recently I tried the mango matcha latte. Mango cream top tasted exactly like the fruit, no artificial flavor but mixed into matcha was just okay. Matcha definitely overpowers the mango. I definitely prefer their strawberry matcha over the mango. Their drinks are pretty good quality, solid 4/5 everytime. You order through the kiosk so there's not much customer service/ interaction. Knocked off a star because of the lack of customer service. This happened twice but our drinks were done but they didn't call out a name, they just leave it at the pick up area. No text confirmation either so not sure how we are supposed to know our drink was ready or if we are expected to check the label of each drink that was coming out... There's retail parking at the bottom floor of apartment complex. Like 2 min walk.

Corn Latte, 16 oz. and Iced Obsidian Hojicha Latte, 16 oz. with boba

Been eyeing this place for a while now, so I'm so glad I finally got to try it! I was particularly eyeing the corn latte, and was hoping they could make it with matcha instead of coffee but they couldn't :( I still enjoyed the coffee tho because it was sweet and creamy (even with 25% sweetness!). And it didn't make my heart jittery! My bf got the obsidian hojicha latte and it was very very strong! I would get this again for sure. The boba was also chewy and yummy. The strawberry matcha was good too but a little too sweet for me even with 25% sugar. Matcha taste was strong tho! They have very limited seating inside, but I was lucky enough to get a table. They have wifi so I was able to get some work done there :)

I've been wanting to try Haiku Teahouse for a while, so I stopped by on a Friday afternoon. I parked in the parking garage which was mostly empty. There was no line and my drink came out quick. There were a few tables inside, but all of them were taken by people with laptops working. It's a pretty small place with limited seating so I don't think I'd want to bring a laptop and work here. I got the guava matcha latte from their seasonal menu. I really liked the guava cream top, it was a good combination of sweet and tart. The matcha itself was okay but a little chalky. If I came back I probably wouldn't get a matcha, but they have a lot of other drinks that looked good.

I love how Haiku Teahouse gets creative with their drinks. The cafe itself is well kept the workers are good about making their drinks maintaining consistent each time. The staff were also friendly! There's plenty of seating for anyone to chill, but it can get pretty loud during peak hours. I tried their mango matcha latte and could taste the refreshing mango flavor without the artificialness. The matcha einspanner was super velvety with a strong matcha flavor. I love the way it was whipped for that extra creaminess. A nice bonus is not charging extra for oat milk... looks like most of us are lactose intolerant! I'd definitely recommend this place. I love supporting small businesses!

Haiku Teahouse had really good drinks, and I definitely recommend checking this place out. It's a small coffee and boba shop with a cute vibe and cozy atmosphere. The staff was very friendly, and the drinks came out in a timely manner. The only negative thing I noticed was that they charge extra for whole milk, but not for oat milk or lactose-free milk. I was honestly surprised because most boba or coffee shops usually do it the other way around and charge for the alternative milk options instead. I thought that was funny and something new to learn! Overall, I still highly recommend trying this place out.

    Strawberry Matcha Latte, 16 oz

I recently discovered and fell in love with their strawberry matcha latte. I just went two days in a row just for this drink. I can't speak for the other drinks because I've only gotten the matcha lattes here. There usually aren't too many people, so the line moves fast and drinks come out pretty fast. Normally pretty chill. I'll definitely be coming back for this.

    Guava Matcha Latte (16oz) - Oatmilk - 75% sweetness

The ambience, service and flavor of the product was great. The establishment is very clean and welcoming. The kiosk system is set up very easy and customizable. A simple, clean and smooth process. I've gone to this store front when it first opened and I haven't gone back since. When they first opened the quality of the drinks were not as great due to how impacted and busy they were as any other "new business" opening in the Bay Area. The flavors were very chalky and unbalanced. Going back to it now months/year(s?) later I can definitely taste the difference in flavor, depth and quality put into it. I'm not a big fan of matcha but when I do want a cup the Guava matcha is my #1. The guava matcha has been one of my favorite go to's ever since I've tried Haiku's pop up in their earlier days. It is different and unique compared to the classic strawberry matchas. I am happy to know that I can always rely on them as my go to for matcha lattes. The matcha flavor is deep and rich while the guava is nice and subtle. Mixing the two together it tastes very harmonious while not over powering one another.

    Calamansi Tea, Green Tea
    Maddie I.

tldr: solid menu. green tea amazing. quick service! doesn't need sugar to make it better! has a pretty solid menu! there isn't a lot of seating. but there's some outside! it was about 5pm and they were sold out of boba sadly. but i got the calamansi green tea. perfectly sweet and tart at 75%. im not too much of a green tea enjoyer. but it was great green tea! i would love to come again!

Banana Hojicha Banana Cream Top, 16 oz
    Benjamin N.

I ordered the: Banana Hojicha Latte Guava Hojicha Latte banana hojicha latte was more on the sweeter side but even then it was just right sweet. I enjoyed the drink fully and didnt feel bloated Guava hojicha latte was actually super enjoyable. I liked both flavors as they melted together well. These were the best hojicha lattes I've had. Both drinks were strong. I prefered the Guava syrup more than the banana cream top. Banana is very versatile and can be strong or super light depending on how it was made but it worked well with hojicha.

Guava matcha latte with li hing mui and Matcha Einspanner, 16 oz
    Ashley Z.

Very solid matcha that's really a 4.5 in my books! Located across the street from the SJ flea market entrance with parking garages next to it. Ordered my drinks ahead of time and was ready earlier than estimated. I would comeback here for the guava matcha with li hing mui because I haven't came across a matcha spot that uses li hing mui.

Matcha Banana Cream Top, 16 oz. & Matcha Biscoff Cream Top
    Amia A.

The matcha here is delicious, we ordered their Biscoff and Banana cream matcha lattes and I would say that the matcha flavor in their drinks were much stronger than the cream The interior is nice and spacious that offers indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered on an iPad but their service was still welcoming when we walked in

After I updated my order, instead of prioritizing it to make up for the delay, it looked like they sent my new drink straight to the back of the queue because I saw many cups ahead of mine. I watched a few people who ordered after me receive their drinks while I was still waiting. There were also many people that ordered around the same time as me still waiting for their orders as well. My order was only made after I went up to the counter to complain about the delay again bringing my total wait time to over 30 minutes. To make matters worse, the staff was busy chatting and laughing with each other instead of focusing on orders or communicating with waiting customers. Had they told me right away that my drink was unavailable, I could have chosen an alternative without wasting half an hour. Very unorganized and disrespectful of customers' time. To sum it all up, TP tea is amazing, but I would recommend another location or going to Tastea next door.

The grape teagurt, on the other hand, is probably not something I'll get again because the grapes at the bottom were too sour and had a weird rubbery, gritty texture. I'm looking forward to trying the honeydew yogurt drink next. They have a lot of unique drinks that I haven't seen elsewhere. I appreciated that when my drink came out a little short, the server made more so that it would fill to the top. And I appreciated that the register asked me to join their rewards program after paying instead of there being a nondescript sign somewhere away from the counter that would surely lead to me kicking myself for not seeing it after spending a lot. The reward is $8 off for spending $100.
