They literally posted in their Instagram they had it in stock 7 minutes ago. Why post it if you don't have it in store.

This location is advertising the Biscoff cookie iced coffee, had me waiting for 15 minutes to tell us they didn't have it in stock, didn't offer to refund it just said pick something else instead. Came here to pay almost $10 for a regular ass coffee that was almost all Ice. Do not come here.

5. Grilled Pork Banh Mi

The McDonald's of banh mi out here in downtown SJ. #5 grilled pork banh mi: overall it's alright. Grilled pork wasn't particularly tender but it's got some flavor with the marinade. The bread here is always strikingly pale on the exterior, but it's got some texture on it and isn't too dry. Always middle of the pack for Lee's in comparison to other banh mi spots. It is pricier than a lot of the other options in nearby Little Saigon. Overall this place is alright. It'll satisfy a craving for banh mi, but there are definitely better options nearby.

This is my favorite lee's location. I know they have a lot of nicer/newer locations but this one is just too convenient and too consistent to ever give up. I've been coming here since I went to SJSU and no matter what I try on the menu the ingredients are always fresh - everything is made to order unless you're grabbing their to go options which are so convenient when I'm running behind for a meeting. The honorary order is the lemongrass tofu bahn mi and the grilled shrimp spring rolls but just recently I tried their shrimp bowl and fell in love! I'll pretty much always come back but it helps that the staff is so sweet and always so accommodating.

Great sandwich for the quantity and price. I got the #50, my partner got the #11 and then a 2nd banh mi that I can't remember. We also ordered the sticky rice dish they have on the counter and then 2 chicken skewers. Everything (for 6 items) came to about $50 (including tip), great sandwich, would come back again.

So I always love LEES SANDWICHES! The Sammies here are always made so good and taste delicious, however the service is always so slow. They take forever to make them! The restaurant is sit in, take out, and designed nicely. But the restaurant isn't typically clean at all! Always come here because it's close to my son's barbershop!

I picked up a bunch of chicken sandwiches for me and som friends. I ordered over the phone so I was able to skip the lunch rush line. If you know what you want that is the way to go. They also offer a bill CG of different pastries that are fresh. I will need to try some of them next time. There is plenty of seating if you want to eat in. They have a clean gender neutral bathroom. You will need to get the code from them. I forgot my receipt and called to get it sent to me. They were so helpful and texted it to me. This is definitely a place to use again when I am hungry and near city hall in San Jose.

Wow, quality at its finest. I never really tasted the other Vietnamese places. I usually order vermicelli bowls with egg rolls and tofu. This place has Banh MI rolls which I have never tasted before. It looked pretty basic. But once you try it, it is better than subway. The flavors, the spiciness and the ingredients are fresh and delicious. The pricing was fair and good budget for college students who do not make much. They also have pre-made meals cold and warm for affordable prices at the front. The interior is Clean and the environment is calm. The service was great, the woman at the front was friendly. She had a Vietnamese accent that was sweet. The quality and taste of the food was astounding though. Maybe it is because I haven't eaten a good meal in months but I would defintely come back due to the flavors and affordability. The food filled me up moderately. I ordered 2 jumbo spring rolls for 7$ a little pricey and a banh MI vegetarian for about 7$. I recommend to get both. Overall, if you like subway, to-gos or any type of Philly cheesesteak. This place has the resources for lovers of those type of sandwiches but healthier.

Rosey Y.

The sandwich was terrible. Barely had any spreading. Tasteless. The bread was burnt. Hard. Seems like it's old bread from the day before. Never coming here again.

Came here and the worker (who had a nose ring) was coughing up a storm and either wasn't covering up or was coughing directly into his hands while handing me my change. Made me lose my appetite. Service was very slow and we were the only ones there at the time. To top it off, they have this sign up on their register saying that if we don't get a receipt to text them for a free meal. When I did, I never received a response. I followed up a few times and still no response or acknowledgment. They really don't care if you don't get a receipt. Bunch of liars.

Solid "fast food" bahn mi's at Lee's. Not the best out there, but not bad for the price. I like all the options for sandwich fillings Lee's offers (there's like 20+ combos), and my go-to is BBQ pork or chicken with extra pickled daikon. They also have a "happy hour" a half hour prior to closing where many of the packaged items are discounted, like spring rolls or desserts. Service is good, but something about this Lees gives cockaroachy vibes, and there's always super sketch (possibly homeless) people hanging out inside/outside. Probably just the area in general, but wish they made more of an attempt to keep the interior and exterior better maintained.

Temperatures were just under 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside. The air conditioning was great in here, not freezing cold but cool enough to be comfortable. There were a few other tables of people with their laptops out, and I was excited to see that they have expanded since my last visit and added more seating for customers. The lotus milk tea is still one of my favorites in the whole city. We sat at a table so there was no outlet, but I can't remember if there were outlets along the walls for the booth seating. The WiFi worked well and if there was background music it was not being blasted loudly. I would definitely keep this spot top of mind if I needed a reliable spot to work remote again, especially since there is now more seating than there used to be. I tried the yuzu lemonade fizz, black sesame latte, and mocha. The yuzu lemonade fizz was super refreshing, light, citrusy, and fizzy with just the right balance of tart and sweet. It's definitely a more unique flavor, but really comforting if you like deeper, roasted notes. The mocha was smooth and classic, well-balanced between chocolate and coffee without being overly sugary. Service was friendly and efficient, even when it got a bit busy. The vibe is modern and minimalist, with a clean aesthetic that makes it feel like a nice spot to hang out, work, or catch up with friends. Each drink is hand-whisked, so well worth the wait. Their cold foams were delicious and super flavorful as well. I was so excited to try the mango sticky rice matcha, as I hadn't seen this flavor anywhere else. The drink has a creamy salted coconut milk cold foam on top and some mango puree and glutinous rice on the bottom. Once everything was mixed, the mango flavor does get lost unfortunately. But still, the drink was amazing and rich. The guava li-hing matcha was sooo vibrant! I loved how the tropical flavor of the guava cold foam sprinkled with li-hing balanced out the earthy matcha. I've tried other guava matchas with guava puree on the bottom rather than cold foam on top, but I definitely prefer the latter to preserve the matcha flavor. I thought it was really cool that they have a slow coffee bar area specifically for pour overs (I think) where tech isn't allowed, so people are just supposed to sit and enjoy their coffee. I've never seen that before in a coffee shop. The menu is extensive. Since it was later in the day, the baked goods were half off, which was a nice surprise. I got a blueberry latte and an Asian fusion focaccia bread. Blueberry latte - I liked this! The blueberry flavor was subtle and not overly sweet or artificial tasting. It added a light fruity note to the coffee without overpowering it. Fusion focaccia bread - This was tasty, but I felt the original price was steep ($12). My piece was around 6" x 3". Parking is close, but you will need to pay after 90 minutes (which can get pricey if you plant there). I want to call out that the decor of Playbook has not changed much from that of Voyager's resident there. The only big difference is the vinyl that you get your drinks out of (which is a small change). When you get to Playback, there is a kiosk located near the front entry to order drinks. While this is convenient and typical for drink places, I do think it removes the homey feel to cafes that you get when you can interact with their baristas, and the layer of community is a bit disconnected. While I was there, I ordered the Teddy Graham latte to try out since it seemed like one of their staple drinks when I did my research. The drink itself was good, toasted, with a nice subtle graham flavor. I would say though for $9 per drink, it was overpriced. Overall, to be honest, this is a good area to work, and study with friends, I would come back here for this alone. I would think of the extra drink cost as work from home fee/tax. :)
