This 7-Eleven is ridiculous. Been coming here for more than six years not only do you have to dodge a barrage of people harassing you out front now the new owners try to scam people double charge them take your money and see you never gave it to them. this has happened to me several times now I've seen it happening to other people, they do not abide by the prices that are on the product advertisement and then when you call them on it then they change the price again now that this is happened to me several times and they try to argue it in front of other people, and I've seen it happen to other people I am not going to this one anymore. Today is free slurpee day @ the 711 franchise. I walked across the street to this 711 and was informed that they had run out of cups. WTF! Free means free, get some other cups. you cant just cut your free day off when you run out! Also there are some new bums over there this week. My favorite was the hooker who asked me how much rent was in my building and if I would take her up to check it out. after I said no she squatted down in her florescent pink hooker shoes and peed along the brick wall on the side of the building. The worst experience ever ! Went in for a soda but decided to buy the many homeless ppl outside a drink (one a hot chocolate) when I asked the cashier if the watered down liquid was their 'hot chocolate' he came storming from behind the counter and fixed the machine but a couple seconds later his sidekick came out of nowhere n told me my business was not wanted there....WE HAD WORDS. My Range Rover decided to do a bulimic gas spewing action on the way to work right infront of this scary ass 7-11! It was at 9 am but I was scared to death. Immediately I was approached by two bums. Halfway decent 7-11 for being in downtown San Jose. There is a gas station which is convenient, but I can never get the card machine to work so its pretty much useless. The gas station prices are pretty comparable to the area. The clerk inside the store is very friendly. Only bad thing about this location is the homeless who hang around the building all day. I live near by and, despite of the poor customer service in this particular location, I often have to rely on 7-Eleven. Today the skinny guy working on night shift went too far: I ordered (and paid in advance) for a large pizza for a homeless. 5 min later another guy came in also ordered a pizza. Extreamly rude. I came in to purchase some cigars. No one acknowledged me standing there for 5 minutes while the cashier was talking but its okay, they had others in the store. Lady asked what i wanted and i asked for 4 cigars. I told the lady to give me one second while she grabs it, because my husband has my id in his wallet and he is looking for it. Cashier got super rude and demanded my id. I told her to just please give me a second so that i can get it thinking maybe she didnt hear me. Nope, cashier gets hella mad and starts asking whos going to pay. I say that im going to pay. She says "then why would i need your husbands id" and gets really rude before my husband tells her that iv said 3 times now that hes just getting MY id and tells her to stop being rude. I walked all the way here just because my ATM machine is here! It was one of the most recent machines because I've never seen it before. This 7-11 is special because not only does the ATM machine dispense cash, it also allows you to deposit checks! Hooray! 7-11 is always the usual, they got everything you need in a convenience store. I don't like how they jack up the prices though and don't have a wide selection, but it's a convenience store, so what do you expect? I like their chicken taquito for $0.99, yum! read more

I hit this place all the time cause it's just a few blocks from my house. There are always homeless people in the parking lot, not just 1, but several, and they're not friendly homeless people. I mean, I understand they're down on their luck, but one of them was screaming and yelling to herself to the point where the girl I was with wasn't comfortable getting out of my Jeep, and there's two of them that frequently stand at the corner of the building and order you to buy stuff for them. "HEY, GET ME SOME MILK!" I mean, if he asked nicely, I would have bought him a gallon, but ordering me to do it only gets him ignored. read more

This is my 7-eleven that I always go to to get cigarettes from. I spoke Parliament regulars and they are really hard to find. This 7-11 always carries them. The one on 6th street is constantly out of stock of them This 7-11 also has a gas station which is cool for convenience but they aren't the cheapest in the area. One thing I really hate about this 7-11 is that it's always full of bums and cops. 2 kinds of people I don't like!! Oh, my local 7-Eleven. Although there are about four more of you within 4 miles of each other, I still go to you to buy my death sticks and occasional Gatorade Rain for those days I play hockey. You're a magnet to such amazing people. Let's see... There was that one blond woman, who would continuously check the payphone for change talking to it like it was a magical unicorn. Somehow she had a black eye the next time I saw her. Oh, how about George? You know that guy your employees yell at to get out of the store? He wears that blanket like Linus, has a well-kept goatee, and constantly grumbles to himself. George seems like a pretty cool cat. The best is when I go by you on a Friday or Saturday night around 1:30am when everyone is trying to beat the liquor lock at 2a.m. However can you assemble the finest people in the world? A collection of gangbangers and Raiders fans come here after a drunken night of shaking their groove thing and showing off their sound systems with the finest in Bay Area rap artists in cars that will put them in a monstrous amount of debt, but they don't care because they're looking fly at the moment? Alright alright I've got to give credit where it's due. This is one decent "spiced pumpkin" latte. The prices are unbelievable, $1.49 gives you a venti sized cup and there's a super venti for $1.69. This particular 7-Eleven features a gas station as well. If you don't mind the panhandling and other common downtown activities, then it's an okay place. Not the least expensive, but pretty good prices for being downtown. The pumps are not always capable of printing receipts, so you have to go in to the store at that point. Not my preferred place to gas up, but at times, convenient. read more

The gas prices tend to be pretty good compared to other parts of town, and the workers there are nice and will remember you. Everyone else seems to think it's a sketchy part of town but after living in the area I have not a had a problem since moving in 2 years ago. read more
