I always stop at this 711 once a day pretty much everyday. The 2 times of been extremely unpleasant. I go there with my service dog and my service dog let's me know when my sugar is low or high. When I was there my service dog was crying a lot because my sugar was extremely low. I was waiting for my pizza. I guess another customer stormed claiming how uncomfortable he was. The cashier said it was my fault that he lost the sale and made the customer feel uncomfortable and left. He blamed me because my service dog was crying. The reason she was crying was because my sugar was low. Then today I went to go add money to my cash app. The guy said there system was down and it would be down for 2 months. But then someone behind was able to add money I absolutely hate this 711 all the guys there treat me awful. They discriminate against me because I am white, female and because I have service dog. Says its open 24/7, its not. I get up early to start work at 5 am. 3 times now at 3:30 am they are locked doors. This time i literally saw a rat crawl around in there as I tried to ooen the doors. You can't deposit funds to your card (network always down). Stop serving people while you're on your phone! I don't care if you're hands free. Main issue... if you happen to enter when they are stocking the shelves, they will ask you to "wait a moment" before serving you. But it can take up to a minute or two. Amazon lockers, donuts - everything you expect here you will find. Smaller location and older looking inside. Colorful people hanging up front. One lady with a dazzle skimpy dress. Probably lives upstairs. Parking immediately in front of the store isn't gonna happen. Might have to walk a block if you want an official legit spot. The guy behind the counter is as good as it gets. If you want to get scammed out of deals on reduced prices of drinks when bought in packs of two, come here! If you want coffee, you won't find it here as the machines are broken. Hard to get items out of Amazon Locker, because every time shipments of boxes are blocking it, and I have to always ask for help to move it. The store is NOT open 24hrs. Apparently they close from 2-4. Why? Finally for the prior reviews about the rudeness of one tall employee. We like this branch. It's well lit. Ample parking space. Fast service. Well stocked and open 24 hours! They resolved their issue with the columns in their parking area. Half of it used to be painted black and you can hardly see when you're backing up. NOW -it's painted in stripes of red/white/yellow and with a reflective material. It's more visible now when your back up light is on. Nice job! read more

Two stars instead of one because I'm at least happy this place exists. However, the staff were very rude. I was in front of the line telling the cashier what I wanted (because isn't that what you do when you're in front of the line and the cashier is right in front of you? ) He just look at me when I was speaking and then walked over to the corner and just kept talking on his phone for minute and then came back. Back in the day if I did that whenever I had a customer service job I would have been fired for sure. I'll give them more chances though. People mess up. Ugghhh...this 7-11 has a lot going on here now. First of all, I gave their most recent addition, the Amazon pick-up locker, a try here. I had my shipment sent here to their 24-7 locker and I unlock my locker using the unlock key that was emailed to me. Well, luckily I only had purchased a book but seriously with the kind of people that come in and out of this 7-11...I may start to reconsider whether I feel comfortable shipping and picking stuff here. Also not to mention that there are usually homeless and beggars outside in the garage and street occasionally which makes their Citibank ATM's less appealing. A cool promotion that they have now are coffee cups that have Obama's name on one and Romney's name on the other. In the end, 7-11 will compile all the votes and see which candidate 7-11 nation "supports" nationwide. Ummmm I don't think most people even see whose name is on the cup...they throw the paper insulating sleeve around the cup and go on their way... In terms of food and drinks selection, this 7-11 does the job but the parking still is horrible and limited in the garage and it's unpredictable as to what cast of characters you'll see when you come in here. read more

I love this 7-11 compared to the other ones I have been to around in San Jose area except the people who work there. There is this older Mexican lady who wears glasses and is such a dumb b***h!! She's like training another worker and I'm like okay I'll wait..and I waited...for a good 5-7 minutes then I had it!! I interrupted her and said "why don't you come train him how to ring me up so I can leave". She gave me a dirty look. I would love to stand there and learn how to be a 7-11 clerk but that day was just not the day for me to stand and observe. Then there is that crazy skinny Indian guy. I LOVE the late-night staff here! Even though it's the middle of the night or the ass-crack of dawn when I usually come here (yeah, I keep weird hours) the customer service is excellent. The guy who is there the most is very friendly, helpful, and has a good sense of humor. I feel like at a lot of 24 hour places the night staff is really surly, kinda sketchy, obviously hates their job, and they seem to resent having customers. That is never the case here. This guy deals with all kinds of weirdos and he actually seems to enjoy being there. I once asked him about some cupcakes they had by the register that looked awesome. He said they were really good and the late night stoners LOVED them, lol. To the reviews complaining about the "sketchy people" and "bums" hanging around: get over it, this is downtown, if you can't handle passing a few homeless people, stay in Mountain View. This place STINKS. The cashiers seemed happy to say there's no bathroom. I guess everyone else uses the underground parking. That's NASTY.

First of all, this is NOT a shady area. On one side of 1st there are a bunch of hotels, and behind the hotels, more hotels. On the other side, is the Rosemary Gardens neighborhood, which is a very nice, well maintained, older family neighborhood. Homes are from the 50's and from the cars out front, you can tell that there's not a whole lot of money, but most lawns are well kept up and there seems to be a lot of community pride in this area, much more than what I've seen in other neighborhoods. That said, this 7-11 is only about a year old. I went there the first day (I think March 30, 2007) to check out the Slurpee situation. I love my Slurps, and I needed to make sure they carried orange, which they did, and which I then proceeded to purchase daily from the first day to mid-autumn. mmmmmm orange Slurpees. There's a bunch of guys who run the store, and they're nice enough. They seem eager to be friendly (the bodega up the street had a pretty loyal clientele, so I guess they figure they better be nicer than them to keep the customers). Very clean, and well lit. Like someone else mentioned, they have tons of Ben and Jerry's, in addition, they have a individual ice cream freezer full of popsicles and Dove bars....mmmmmmmm Most of the peeps who come in are from the neighborhood or from the VTA customers at the Gish station. The only sketchy people I've ever seen were earlier this winter, when it was about 35 degrees out, an a couple of 'ladies' dressed in holey fishnets stockings, short fur jackets and micro mini skirts dropped by. I was trying not to giggle at all the guys who stood there looking at them with their eyes bulging out of their heads, and squeezing the life out of their HotPockets and Big Gulps. One lady purchased 5 or 6 BOXES of Trojans and a tube of chap stick, the other bought 5 or 6 boxes of Trojans and a big pack of Juicy Fruit. My little daughter was with me and wanted to know how the ladies could stand the cold in those outfits hahahhaha. I watched as they walked across the street to the hotel, so I told my child that the ladies would be warm enough, soon enough, lol. read more

I am a fan of 7-11's! Regardless of a 1 or 5 star I can give them, the business itself is amazing. The amount of locations across the nation and the variety of items are great in terms of a convenient store. This 7-11 use to have one of the worst customer service I've seen in a long time but more recently I believe they have hired some new people and got rid of the older people and the store itself has been more a delight to enter. I love the selection of drinks and abundance of tequitos they have in the glass case. The location of the store is a bit awkward since it is located under an apartment and the parking lot is a bit small but plenty more parking a long the street. Overall the store is great and if your in the area come on in and grab yourself an ice cold drink, couple of tequitos, maybe 2 for $1.00 on the donuts, and grab couple of lottery tickets and you're set! read more

Bad news - they screwed up my credit card. Don't use your cards here! One purchase of milk for a few bucks - then later that day, my card was rejected by MasterCard because the store used suspicious codes when submitting it. So in a restaurant that evening I had to call Mastercard to clear the issue - they thought the card was stolen because of the way this store submitted it for my little purchase of milk.
