We ordered the tiramisu latte and yuzu citronella lemonade and they were both very good. It is a large open space shop with lots of seating. Great place to hang out, study, or get some work done. We will come back when we are in the area.
I popped by Big Mug Coffee after work to study; parking isn't too bad, though it shares a parking lot with a slew of other businesses (mostly eateries). It wasn't crazy busy so it was easy to order through one of their two tablets and find a spot to sit. It is very spacious and filled with many tables, so even when busy you'll likely be able to find a spot. The menu is a bit messy to look at--there is a big menu hanging over the kiosks, another posted alongside where a line is formed, then the menu on the tablet kiosks themselves. It's a pretty big menu featuring primarily coffee-based drinks, matcha lattes, and a wide variety of food, so you'll likely find something appealing. I ordered their smoked salmon bagel (which rang up to about $16) and their matcha latte ($8); to be honest, neither were outstanding. The salmon and avocado in the bagel were great, but the bagel itself was a bit stale--for $16, it's a bit hard to swallow. The matcha was very milky, and there is another store offering better matcha drinks in the same plaza. I'll admit, though, it's a little on me for not picking coffee at a spot with "coffee" in the name. I will say, though, that the atmosphere in the main area is pretty good; the decor is understated but comfortable, and the lighting is good. The service is also solid--the servers are friendly and our order came out quickly. I will say that the bathroom feels ominous. Overall, it's a great spot to study; Big Mug is open late, has free Wi-Fi and a bathroom for customers, and offers both food and caffeinated drinks for longer study sessions. I feel that the prices vary widely for items but skew towards being too pricy for the quality, at least from my limited experience. I plan on coming back to give other items a try, but for now, it's not a favorite.
I stumbled upon big mug while looking for a coffee joint with interesting drinks. I was looking for not too sweet and not too creamy like the recent trends with cream top coffees. I tried the pandan latte and was pleasantly surprised on how you could still taste the pan although it is not as strong as I've had with matches I think with the coffee it went really well to add extra aroma to the milk. It had the perfect amount of caffeine. The kiosk to order can be a little confusing. Not everything is uploaded with pictures, which could be more helpful for our first time customers. I ended up helping a couple next to me. Look for the burrito because it was labeled somewhere else in menu. If I have time to dine in, I would love to try everything on the menu. It looks so good. They even have Korean style toast here. On Mother's Day the seats were all taken as everyone was just chilling there, but I think it's a great spot on weekdays to do work or grab a quick brunch with friends. The area is very spacious and not tight like some other coffee shops.
Another stop on my Coffee-Pray-Love journey. This is a contender for the best cold brew I've tried so far. They do a CBC which is a concentrate and it definitely is. Flavor is not diluted by melting ice and neither is the caffeine. 10/10 will return for my cold brew when working in Santa Clara. I used to come here a lot since it was a nice spot to hang out and get work done. Came in on a Monday around noon and the shop was fully packed and pretty loud (normally there's ample seating). There's a kiosk to order now with a majority of items missing pictures and descriptions. Still, the staff seem busier than ever, my lavender latte took about 15 minutes and it was hard to find open seating. I think the quality has gotten a little worse here, my latte was very sweet even with less sugar requested, and they seemed to just dump espresso on top of milk and callel my name in a hurry. They also seem to sell beauty products now, which is a little strange. The whole experience across the board felt unpolished, not sure if I'd come back here next time unless I'm in the area.
I came here after playing Pokemon like a nerd. I was in the area because I wanted to try Katsu burger. Like I mentioned before the parking lot is hella wild because of all the businesses. Anyway, I was hella famished ya feel me? So I wanted some damn sustenance, I ended up grabbing the korean sandwich. It had cabbage eggs and other things as well. I only ate half, but it was good. This place is pretty cool, it seems like a 3rd place for people which we lack in this time. A place where people can hang out talk and just engage. Pretty cool atmosphere.
My boyfriend and I went here after grabbing pastries in the next plaza, and they didn't care about us having outside food, which was nice. The folks working were willing to help answer any questions. We ended up getting the brown sugar latte and the Einspanner for our drinks. The brown sugar latte had customizations of sweetness level, and the normal was a tad sweet, so I would have preferred to put the less sweet option. For next time! Other than that, the brown sugar latte was huUuuge! It seemed like it was basically a latte and a half. My boyfriend had the Einspanner, which he was disappointed about because it was too milky and didn't have enough coffee flavor. I LOVED the avo egg taco toast. It has this sweet-ish sauce on top that was amazing. However, my boyfriend didn't like the sauce, and he didn't love the thickness of the bread. He said it should have been called avo egg "breadfast" because of how much bread lol But to each their own because I thought the avocado egg taco toast was the best breakfast egg and toast type of thing I have ever gotten.
A great cafe for studying/working. I visited on a Friday morning in hopes of getting some work done and encountered an entire store full of people with the same idea. The ambiance was peaceful and focused. There is a ton of seating here, but almost every single table was occupied. You order through machines, so there is minimal employee interaction. When I was ordering, I was disappointed to find that a majority of drinks were sold out? I've honestly never seen anything like it. They didn't have a single matcha option available, and they were out of a ton of food options and lattes. I ended up trying the chai and a vanilla latte. Both were solid but not particularly remarkable. This spot is definitely a Bay Area classic, but I feel like most people don't come here because the drinks or food are particularly notable. There are far more flashy places, but this is an ideal environment for working, which is why it remains so popular.

They made more space for seating and tables, they used to have this huge book shelf thing that split up the space a bit. The service seems way more organized and efficient. The coffee tastes better than I remember. The menu is a bit chaotic, it looks like a collection of a bunch of menus. But they have all kinds of new stuff that customers would probably enjoy. Overall, a very solid spot.
Beautiful place, cute little shop, service can use a major adjustment, from the behind the counter staff / use the kiosk most definitely, to the rude workers who make your "coffee and Food" I've been here a few times an before I leave a review I like to give places the benefit of the doubt. But from the coffee being meh to the muffins which are just frozen an heated in an air fryer, you must really check the cook time I ordered both muffin said to be filled with filling that was wam on the outside an filling completely frozen, this spot I definitely pass up with no problem. I'll try again in a few months!!
Great drinks and coffee shop atmosphere. I loved my recent hojicha latte, and I've previously had the honey lemon tea, which was refreshing as well. It does get loud, so bring noise cancelling headphones or earplugs. Parking lot can get packed, so you might have to park on the nearby street and walk over. Not all seats have electrical outlets, but it's first come first serve. Take a seat with plugs if you see one! Must buy something to use the WiFi and bathroom. They give you the codes to both on your receipt. Slight flaw this place has is that there's only one restroom, so you'll have to wait if there's a person ahead of you.
Really love this place for their Korean breakfast sandwiches. But I don't love the busy parking lot or somewhat hectic environment. They're always very busy on the weekends and seating can be challenging and it's very loud inside
Came here to get a post meal coffee after we ate a huge meal at the Katsu Burger next door. The decor of this coffee shop is very chill and I saw a lot of people there studying or working. Really like the lights and the furnish but their coffee was just about average.
I love the Mont Blanc. It's really creamy and sweet. It's probably too sweet for others but I enjoy it. They have two kiosks to order and live people for help. I don't know what happened. Am I getting too old? The ambiance has changed since my last visit. They took out the open book case separating half the cafe so it wasn't just open space. The long table was there and same with the bench seat against the wall but it just doesn't seem as cozy and cool as before. They moved the rack for used dishes by the door. The menu board is very white. It's a place you go with someone you're familiar with not someone you want to date or impress. read more

I got the pandan special, which is (I think) a latte with pandan cream on top. Make sure to mix the cream into the latte! I think the pandan flavor is just enough (not too strong and not too weak) and complements the bitterness/flavor notes from the espresso well. Ample seating inside, with a multitude of tables and chairs. Waited maybe 5 minutes for my drink, even though they looked pretty busy -- so quick service! read more
On a 90°F afternoon, my wife and came over to escape the heat and grab some caffeine. FYI: keep your receipt, as it holds the bathroom code, which I discovered after needing to wash my hands post-meal. We ordered from one of the two kiosks near the entrance, we chose a Toast Monster sandwich to share, a Kyoto Matcha Latte (no sugar), and an iced Hazelnut Latte and the order arrived in under eight minutes. The sandwich was flavorful but messy, dripping as we ate. The matcha latte was creamy and well-balanced, while the iced hazelnut latte was refreshing. The food and drinks were satisfying, fueling us for the rest of the day but, I kept telling myself that the sandwich was a pretty heavy to the gut option because I started feeling sleepy after. The café's atmosphere was lively, typical for such spots. Large windows provided ample light, and Edison bulbs above a communal table added a unique touch. We sat in front of a wall with that art contributed character to the cafe, but shelves stocked with skincare products next to coffee press products near the entrance felt misplaced. The space was functional for work or study, with numerous outlets, spacious tables, and Wi-Fi exceeding 100mbps. However, I resorted to hand sanitizer due to the bathroom code issue, so hold onto your receipt till you're done with your visit. Parking can be a bit annoying, with a crowded lot and speed bumps that low-profile cars, like mine but, I just wanted to put it out there for those who's coming in the lot. If the staff is open to suggestions for improvement, please display the bathroom code more clearly and provide extra napkins for messy items like the sandwich I had. Overall, the café offers good food, drinks, and a practical workspace, but minor adjustments could enhance the experience. I'd come by again and try the Matcha croissant with a bitter espresso shot. read more
Been here a couple times and there's a large work space with plenty of seating, although spots fill up fast. WiFi's not the fastest but it gets the job done. I get the pandan latte and not sure if it was really at half sweet, but it's a mouthful of sugar both times I've been. The coffee itself tastes really burnt so it's not for my taste. I think the food sounds good so might give that a try next time. read more
I really like this coffee shop. They had good food to choose from but their coffee had great flavor and they had plenty of options as well. What I like the most of how spacious the space was to sit and enjoy a drink. There was a self-service kiosk that you ordered from and the coffee came out fairly quick. The parking lot does get full at times so parking sometimes can be a little tough. I ended up just getting a regular latte and will hopefully be back soon to try a pastry and another coffee. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a new coffee shop. read more

Big space inside but was packed on President's day, full of students with their laptops. Theres lots of seating and outlets. I ordered a hot Spanish latte. I kept the default sweetness and felt it was too sweet. I'd do less next time read more

The tiramisu and pandan latte were excellent. It was creamy, bold, and nutty. My favorite between the two is the pandan! Kiosk available. Plenty of indoor seating. The interior was spotless. Minimal customer interaction. The parking is generous, however, it fills up quickly. read more
I was in the area of an event and was looking for a good place for coffee and breakfast. While searching Yelp, I saw the most amazing sandwiches I knew I had to try! Big Mug was the ticket for my morning. I headed over and was amazed by the menu. It was hard to decide what to get! I ordered a large mocha with an extra shot and the Gilgeori toast. Huge thank you to the lady making drinks! She asked me if I really wanted 6 shots of espresso and I was like "um, excuse me?" I'm so use to most coffee shops only doing 3 shots in a large and an extra shot only being 1 shot. Not here! A large has 4 shots and an extra shot is 2. Which makes sense! I've never understood why coffee shops do odd numbers since an espresso machine typically does 2 shots at a time! Anyways, thank you. I needed coffee but I didn't need to be vibrating all day. Now this sandwich, what can I say other than OMG! This was exactly what I didn't know I wanted. It was so good! I got it without ketchup and house sauce. They had house sauce add and I prefer to taste random sauces before dedicating my whole meal to it. I originally thought there was way too much cabbage on it, but after my first bite, my mind was quickly changed! All the flavors went together so well! The house sauce was also really good! I'm pretty sure it was kewpie mayo mixed with something and I'm here for it! The shop is cute and way larger than I expected. I was able to find a seat pretty easily and posted up to eat and enjoy my coffee while I read. I wish there was one closer! This would be where I go all the time! I can't wait to be back. read more
Big Mug Coffee Roasters is hands-down one of the best places in the South Bay to study or get work done. The café is spacious with plenty of seating, lots of outlets, strong WiFi, and a bathroom available (just check your receipt from the self-order kiosk for the code and WiFi password). I came on a weekend -- both Saturday and Sunday tend to be busy, but even then, there's almost always a spot to sit. When I visited, the place was filled with students quietly studying, and the overall vibe was super productive. As for the food and drinks, they're just okay. I tried the tiramisu latte, which sounded exciting but ended up being too sweet with very little actual coffee flavor. Still, if you're looking for a reliable, no-fuss place to hunker down with your laptop, Big Mug is it. It may not have the best drinks, but it delivers where it counts for studying and remote work. read more

Very spacious coffee shop and a great place to get work done! Parking can be a bit rough during lunch/dinner time as it's a popular plaza with a bunch of other food places. They have pretty reliable wifi and a lot of tables. The avocado toast is decent, but it's overpriced. They have asian inspired flavors and I tried the Pandan Paradise, which is their pandan flavored coffee with milk foam on top. Pretty good and the pandan isn't too sweet or overpowering! read more
One of my friends and I met up at Big Mug to catch up and I loved how many tables there were! It looks like a great place to study or work, although the music gets a bit loud. You can order food and drink at a self-service kiosk, and drinks have plenty of adjustments. I got the Pandan Paradise. The nutty flavor of the pandan in the cream was very unique. To this day I still have no idea what pandan is supposed to taste like because I swear every time I have it it tastes different. The drink felt less like coffee and more like milk, and the "less sweet" was still decently sweet. The food looks great so I want to come back for it! read more

This coffee place is so STINGY and CHEAP. I ordered a plain cold brew and instead of filling up my cup they poured my coffee into a measuring cup first. The measuring cup was much smaller than my plastic cup. I ordered regular ice and this cold brew is like 80% ice. All ice, cheap coffee shop wont even fill up your cup. They'll just portion out their cold brew into a smaller measuring cup.I will not be coming back. read more
This parking lot is bananas when it's busy, so be warned. I ended up parking on the street to avoid the chaos. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon and it was BUSY- not one empty table. We ordered through a self serve kiosk and waited about 15 minutes for our order. We found a table right before our order was ready. The matcha I came here for was pretty good. However, it was so busy and loud in there, not sure the Matcha alone is worth it if you plan to stay there. read more
Pretty crowded for a Sunday morning. I like that there is a lot of seating. Great for studying/doing work. You order through 2 kiosk so there's not really any interaction besides when they call out your drinks. Drinks tasted just okay. More like 3.5 stars. read more

This was an interesting spot. There were a lot of "locals" -- and by locals, I mean the kind of people who clearly want to be known as locals. You could immediately tell who belonged. There was a lot of "Where did you go to high school?" energy, which made it feel very insular. As someone who isn't from the area, I didn't have much to contribute to those conversations, but it was interesting to observe everyone mingling. They were out of matcha (which was disappointing), so I didn't end up getting much. I'd definitely be curious to try it when they have it in stock. My friend ordered an unsweetened latte, and it was extremely sour -- and not in a nuanced way. Unsweetened is one thing; sour is another. He also got a pastry that tasted a bit stale. The space itself was very tight -- tighter than I prefer -- and didn't have much personality. It was comfortable enough to sit, and parking was easy, which is a plus. But the bathroom was quite dirty, and the team didn't seem particularly engaged. When I asked for the Wi-Fi after we'd thrown away the receipt, I was told, "It's on the receipt." I had to ask another staff member to look it up, and they eventually helped -- but it felt like it shouldn't have been that difficult. Overall, it was fine. Nothing terrible, nothing exceptional. There are definitely better options out there (Treehouse comes to mind). I wouldn't rush back, but it wasn't a complete miss either. read more
We stopped in just for a drink and it was fully packed! I got a hojicha latte and an iced Spanish latte with oat milk. The Spanish latte was good and tasted like cinnamon. The hojicha latte was good but the hojicha flavor wasn't very strong. Overall good drinks I would get it again. They were also selling skincare and some make up products by the door! read more

Such a cozy cafe to catch up with friends or get some work done! There's plenty of tables for 2-3 people as well as longer tables for group studies and also plenty of plug points. We tried some coffee while we got some work done, the mocha and tiramisu coffee are both great! The tiramisu latte has mascarpone in it to give a creamier and less sweet flavor to it vs regular cream. read more
