Long over due review. My boyfriend and I religiously come here every weekend morning and during the week whenever we can squeeze it in. It's become one of our favorite little rituals. We love the ambiance, the genuinely wonderful staff, and how much care and pride they put into their drinks. You can see it thru their consistency is always creating the perfect cup everytime. One of my favorite things about this place is how well balanced the drinks are. I'm especially picky about iced mochas. I want to actually taste the espresso and chocolate, not something overly sweet or artificially flavored syrup and they get it right every time. Their mocha is rich and chocolatey without tasting like syrup, and the sweetness complements the coffee instead of overpowering it. It's exactly what I want in a morning coffee. They also have delicious meaty tamales sometimes which is such an unexpected and charming addition for a coffee shop, especially alongside Miss Miggins British pasties. Those little touches are part of what makes this place feel so unique. Such a lovely little coffee shop! The space is beautiful, comfortable, and surprisingly peaceful -- no long lines or crowds, which made the whole experience even better. The coffee is genuinely good. I tried the one with melon notes, and it was beautifully balanced -- clean, aromatic, smooth, with just the right amount of acidity, sweetness, and bitterness. You can tell they use good beans and actually know how to brew them properly. The chocolate croissant was excellent too. Super thin, light, and crisp on the outside, while the inside was still soft, slightly chewy, and moist. The crust had this amazing delicate, almost "popping candy" kind of shattering texture in my hand. Great butter, caramelized, wheat and fermented aromas, and just enough chocolate without overpowering the pastry. I also loved the little ceramic coffee cup -- such a thoughtful design, with a textured raw clay body where you hold it and a smooth glazed surface around the rim where your lips touch. Lookout Coffee in Campbell definitely knows how to make a place look good. The shop is cool, modern, and has a great atmosphere. The coffee presentation was also beautiful, and I had no complaints about that. But then I saw "Espresso Market Price" on the menu. I'm sorry, but what exactly are we tracking here, the coffee market? I understand market price at a seafood restaurant when you are ordering fresh fish, but for a single shot of espresso, that was a first for me. I ended up paying $5.50 for one single shot of espresso, and the latte was also $5.50. On top of that, I waited about 14 minutes for the espresso and latte. For two coffee drinks, that felt like a long wait. The croissants and some of the other pastries also did not look as fresh as I expected. The atmosphere is great, the presentation is impressive, and the concept is definitely cool. But when I pay $5.50 for a single espresso and have to wait 14 minutes, I expect the overall experience to match the price. read more

Lookout Coffee is a very popular and crowded coffee house. I stopped in on a Thursday afternoon around 2pm and the place was packed. Plenty of seating inside. Natural lighting in this cafe. They also sell other merchandise. One unisex restroom. The service was welcoming and thoughtful. I picked up a TGTG Surprise Bag which contained three pastries (a plain croissant, fruit pastry, and a sugar twist pastry). Support your local business. read more

Wanted to try something new on a hot day so popped into Lookout. The cashier was super friendly and patient with me as I took a moment to figure out what I wanted. Place gave very cozy vibes. It was a mixed crowd with some people working solo, people on dates, and small families, I ordered the Orange Creamsicle Latte: House-made simple syrup with Orange blossom water. What was interesting is that it was very orange forward, not delicate like orange blossom. It almost tasted like orange peel/rind, but I didn't mind. I really enjoyed the flavors and the coffee - I could actually taste the coffee, not just sweet syrups. The pastries and snacks looked amazing, but I had to pass. This is a cute coffee shop, I went on a Saturday at around 11 and was lucky to get a spot in the parking lot! It is a tight lot but if I can do it, you can too. There was Chippidee cookie pop up today and the place was crowded!!! All the tables filled and a huge long line. Even though the line was long, it moved quickly. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I just got a cold brew with half n half and it was good quality. I do wish they carried heavy cream, I feel like it's so rare for local coffee shops to carry and I never know why no one ever wants heavy cream except for me?!?!? I hate to be so redundant with multiple reviews, but I just continue again, to be so impressed by the consistency. Another perfect cappuccino. My daughter today had a hot Matcha. She said it was a tad bitter, but I think that's just because the place she normally goes to puts simple syrup in it? We need to ask them their input next time, but she still said it was really good quality and a very generous serving. I also paired my cappuccino with a scone with cranberry raisins. It was pretty good. Ambience is really nice and my daughter even agreed it's one of the nicer settings. However, getting seating is very challenging and parking, I'll be honest, is a nightmare. They don't let you park in most of the residence areas either. (Although I should mention they do have their own lot, it's just very popular :-) With higher prices on everything, including coffee, this is my go to. If I'm going to splurge, I'd rather spend my money here, a local coffee shop that gets it right, every time. read more

Love this place! I have been several times and it is always a great experience. The cafe itself is a decent size with amole seating. There is a small lot just behind the building. I will mention that when I have gone on weekends they tend to be fairly busy. Seems to be a popular spot for catching up with friends, studying/working. The aesthetic itself is a clean, modern, hip but comfortable sort of vibe. The baristas are great. Very friendly, skilled, and helpful. In terms of the coffee itself - it is wonderful! Whether you are a diehard looking for that next best pour over or prefer something more sweet/flavored, they have a great selection and usually have seasonal specials on offer. Loved my experience at this coffee house today. Had the best maple biscuit with frosting. Was so delicious and hit the spot! My husband and I also split a cortado and it had such a yummy flavor that my husband bought a pack of the beans they use for their house espresso. Also, they have a really cute interior. Wish the cute icicle lights had been on, but maybe this will be the sign. ;) ;) I like that it's called "Lookout Coffee" and some of the windows have seating facing out to the street. I came on a Saturday morning before the 9/10am rush. It was very relaxed and there's plenty of seating. It's a nice cafe space to come in and bring in a book to read, which is exactly what I did. The employees were friendly, which is nice start to the morning. I got the iced coconut honey latte, but it wasn't that sweet nor tasted like coconut. This café is located right at the corner of Winchester and Campbell, so it might be hard to find parking. I went at around 2PM and the lot was almost full (and tight to navigate), so you may need to loop around a few times. The service was excellent; the staff there are very kind and quick to make your drink. I got the matcha limeade, which is a drink only offered in the month of June. It was a good twist to traditional matcha as it's more of a refresher than a tea, but I liked it nonetheless! The environment is very cozy; the lights were off when I visited which made the place feel very relaxing. Lots of tables too for those who want to dine in or study there. Came here on a Tuesday morning around 9am. Not too busy, lobby is filled with 2000s rnb music and people scattered around with their laptops so seems like the perfect place to get some work done or meet with friends. Staff is friendly. Barista who helped me answered any questions i had and explained that they serve 2 types of espresso, a Kenya Single Origin and their house blend. Order came out in a timely manner. I got the One and One which is a double shot espresso split in half, one served just the espresso as is and the other half served as a macchiato. So you get the best of both worlds without having to buy 2 drinks if you wanna try their beans. Its all served with a side of sparkling water to help cleanse the palette.
