    Cafe Borgia

Service hasn't been as consistent as it used to be. For the price point there's other places that I would rather go. However, off peak you can usually get a pretty decent cappuccino. There isn't a whole lot of space inside and you have to wait for a table usually. A small place to sit outside. I go to used to be the mocha Borgia and the voodoo.

Happy March!! Decided to stop by a coffee shop that I've never been to before. Found this coffee shop through Yelp (of course!!) There were a few tables inside. Quite a bit of people as well! I ended up ordering the cold brew and the salmon toast. Price was pretty standard. 5.25 for the cold brew and 13.50 for the toast. Both were very good. Cold brew was 10/10! The toast was delicious 9/10. Everything balances each other out perfectly, just marked one point off since it was a pretty pricey! Overall, I am definitely a fan of this coffee shop. Would I get the coffee again? Absolutely! And food? Maybe will try the pastries!

It's our 2nd visit today. If you're in a rush- know they are slower than a chain coffee shop but worth it!! We ordered the iced Mocha Borgia (chocolate and coffee) and iced OGC (orange, ginger and Cubano). The Borgia had the orange flavor at the end while the OGC was orange forward. The chocolate wasn't too sweet and had good depth of flavor. Highly recommended!!

Cozy coffee shop with a unique collection of house creations, a rustic vibe, and friendly service. Dropped by for a coffee today and was impressed. I tried the Cubano and loved it. Hit the right spot with its intense flavor and creaminess. My only gripe was the temperature of the coffee. I wish it had been hotter. Definitely recommend, and going by the crowd, it looks like it's a local favorite.

Location is cute inside lot of seating pretty chill to work on work, staff is friendly overall. Parking is a lot all the spots say its the paint shops but you can park there no issue. I ordered through class pass and just walk in and check in and theyll start the drink. Milk substitute to oatmilk is kinda overpriced at 1 buck or something so. Ive gotten the iced vinnete latte and that was decent. The bagel was nothing crazy just a simple bfast bagel. Greenlees has better coffee and food tbh

I again love that they are available on class pass. Today I tried their OGC which is their orange ginger cubano and it was wonderful. My partner also again enjoyed their mocha Borgia. They had a few different types beans ranging from $18-25 with cerberus being the darkest roast and progressively lighter to redcab. As someone who doesn't like acidic/bright coffee, I appreciated that their bean descriptions did not include fruity notes. They're mostly chocolately, and our experience so far has been strong and dark flavor. Looking forward to coming back.

A nice lil coffee shop tucked in a multiuse building with some restaurants and condos (maybe?) Coffee was great and woke me up real good! the pastries were a nice treat as well. They have a fair variety of drinks and I would love to try other drink options next time. Service was friendly and a nice bonus to the experience. If in the area, would definitely come back next time.

Food - egg toast w/ goat cheese: bland, overcooked, carelessly assembled - voodoo: chalky, flavorless; one of very few things I've poured out almost entirely Ambiance - cramped, few places to stand, fewer to sit Service - nearly half an hour to receive items above Verdict: never again.

Voodoo coffee - good amount of sweetness and strong coffee flavor but not bitter. Just happened to be in the area. Pretty good!

Nice little coffee shop with a variety of unique drinks. I was hoping to get their Barefogato (aka affogato) but they don't have that anymore on their menu. We got the Mexican mocha and mocha borgia instead. The drinks were good, very rich and flavorful. They have a few tables inside and plenty of seating outside. Service is fast, and the staff was friendly.

Excellent coffee and pastry. Friendly baristas. Lots of space and outlets available too. Great place for getting a breakfast and studying/wfh.

Love this cafe for their unique drinks. I ended up getting the voodoo latte which has coconut milk and mocha. I liked it but it ended up being too sweet at the end since the mocha settled at the bottom. Mt daughter got a hot chocolate. The barista was nice enough to do some cute latte art on our drinks and it made my daughter the happiest. Too cute to drink! This place has good parking.

Cute and quaint little coffee place that feels like a cozy reading nook. I fell in love with the interiors and the vibe. The coffee menu is great with a lot of specialty drinks! I tried the Mocha Borgia and although it was a bit bitter for me, i liked it overall. The service was great and quick. They have indoor seating and a few outdoor seating spots and plenty of parking at the building and on street.

How often do you get the bake goods from Panorama? Could I place order with you to get bake goods when placing your orders?

Hi! We get deliveries daily. Any special orders would need to be in by 10am two days prior. So for items needed on a Friday, we would need an order by Wednesday at 10am. You can email info@barefootcoffee.com. Cheers

    Does their wi-fi EVER work?

What's the noise level and how busy is it between 1-4 on a Thursday?

Not that loud! People come and go, but it's typically quiet.

Open for people to work while drinking their yummy coffee?

There are just a few tables outside you can sit at. Not the comfiest for working though

You can get it more or less sweet, but I did the normal sweetness and it was perfect. My friend got an egg cream latte with less sweetness and she wished she got normal sweetness. The phin croffle was nice and crispy, and you can choose a cream to go with it. I got the salted cream and it was the perfect choice. I went on a Saturday morning and there were many people chatting and/or working on their laptops. I think it could be a good place to get some work done when it's not too busy. There are a decent amount of chairs and tables. I was able to find a spot to sit and chat with my friend. Overall, I would definitely go again for a coffee and to work or hang out.

Their drinks are on the thicker side. The ambiance of the cafe is great. At 10am on a Saturday, there were still enough seats to sit with a friend or get some work done on a computer. I recommend the banana matcha. I also recommend full sweetness. Since they specialize in Vietnamese coffee/style of drinks, full sweetness will give you the best flavor. I tried less sweet on the egg cream coffee, and without sweetness, the egg cream lacked flavor. In terms of drinks, I wouldn't say they have the best Vietnamese coffee/matcha in the area, but they're pretty solid. Overall, this cafe was nice to experience! Parking can be a little bit tricky on weekends, but there's street parking right outside of the parking complex if needed. It's also located near the Pruneyard, which is lovely if you're looking to grab lunch of go shopping afterwards.

As a longtime Philz customer, I'm pretty boring and always get the Mint Mojito, light-sweet & creamy with oat milk + a plant powered sandwich. I ordered two drinks, a burrito and a jalapeño bagel. There was 1 person in front of me in line. Waited 20 minutes for my order to be ready. The order was all correct except they gave me an everything bagel instead. Maybe this is my bad for phrasing it this way but I said " I meant to order a jalapeño bagel ". I should have said "this is wrong, I ordered a different bagel." Regardless the woman on the food station looked at me and argumentatively said "well I'll have to talk to my manager about that".... Like okay sure? She proceeds to have (what felt like a 5 min) whisper convo with her manager and when I went over to where they were, they stopped talking. She walked me back over to the register and said "you'll have to order a new bagel and then we'll have to refund you the old one" as if it was a huge ordeal. I complete that with who I assume is the manager who didn't say much to me and then the initial woman puts the bagel on the counter without even looking at me. I said "thank you!" And was completely ignored. 2 things. 1, I worked as a barista in multiple locations including Starbucks. We were always trained to be on the lookout if someone is unsatisfied or an order was wrong. We were trained to remake it and make that situation right. Definitely not make the customer feel like they bothered you in some way. 2, an "I'm so sorry about that!" Or "Thank you for your patience" or "thanks, have a wonderful day!" Goes a long way!! I'd understand if it was crazy busy. Honestly I get it, pleasantries take a back seat when in a rush. However, there was only 1 person in front of me and no one behind. Can't say how the food or drinks are cus I've been too busy writing this down to try it! The 2 stars are for a clean cafe and the folks making the drinks WERE kind. Let's do better Philz.

The space has a modern yet warm feel with beautiful natural wood finishes, fresh loaves of sourdough lining the shelves, pastries displayed in the case, and a mix of large communal wood tables, regular seating, and high-top tables. It's the kind of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. The staff was friendly and helped us choose both a pastry and our toast. They were also happy to customize our order--we asked for the levain sourdough toast with butter instead of the usual olive oil. That toast was absolutely divine. The sourdough had the perfect balance: chewy without being too sour, with a crust that was crisp but not so hard that it fought back. Easily the best sourdough toast I've had in the Bay Area. If you come here, this is the one thing you have to order. The only disappointment was the butter. They serve French butter, but for an extra $2, the portion was tiny and honestly nothing special. I've had better butter from Whole Foods. It didn't take away from how incredible the bread was, but it wasn't worth the upcharge. Their Kouign-amann is also one of the best I've ever had. Instead of the typical flat, flaky style, theirs is taller with countless buttery layers that create an amazing texture. The cappuccino was another highlight. It had subtle notes of orange peel, whiskey, and cardamom, making it unique. The latte art was beautiful too. Overall, Manresa Bread is one of those cafés that makes you want to sit down with a laptop or a book and spend a few hours there. The only downside is there are no power outlets, so come with a full battery if you're planning to work. Must orders: Levain sourdough toast with butter and the Kouign-amann. Both are worth the trip.
