When I walked in, the inside had a good amount of people on their laptops. The floors were clean and tables clean too. Today I got the iced caramel coconut cold brew sweet and creamy. It's one of their new drinks. It tasted good. You can taste both the caramel and coconut. So if you like coconut, you will like this! The service was good too. Always seem to be in a good mood. This place just opened recently and easy parking. When I walked in the employees greeted right away and there was a lot of space to sit down and in case you need to do some work done. Happened to visit them on their very first day of being open! They are located on the corner of Saratoga Ave and Prospect Rd, in West San Jose, right around the corner from Sprouts supermarket. Great to have a Philz in this neighborhood, as the one in Cupertino on Stevens Creek can sometimes get crowded. Came by for a late afternoon sweet treat and left with a bag of yummy pastries! All were delicious! Tried their Cinnamon Roll, Bacon Onion Pretzel Croissant, Kouign Amann, Blueberry Kouign Amann, and Lemon Poppyseed Muffin. The service was top notch, from the worker to what seemed to be the manager. Both of them were so sweet, friendly and helpful! The store is beautiful - bright, airy and modern. Nice big seating area inside, so a great place to meet up with friends or co-workers for a coffee/snack. I wish them great success and can't wait to come back to try more things! read more

Tried a couple of coffees this time around and really enjoyed both. I got the Pistachio Spice and their famous Mint Mojito, and both were good, but the Mint Mojito is still my favorite and my go-to every time. This is a brand new Philz in West San Jose. The place is clean and organized and they have plenty of staff. All of the workers seemed well trained and friendly. We ordered the drink and croissant on the app but we arrived before it was ready. Anyway the drink and croissant were good. Philz can sometimes be inconsistent but this place started out great. read more

When I first saw them put up the sign I was so excited for this location to open up. It took over the Sprint building next to Sprouts in case you're wondering where it is exactly. But just like every other location the staff is super friendly and always making sure your drink is how you like it. The space is pretty big with a lot of seating and places to get some work done. I wish this Philz was here a long time ago when I used to work across the street cause I'd for sure be a regular. Luckily my wife works across the street so I have a new coffee spot for when I visit. read more

Great experience here. Very clean and nice, probably one of the larger Philz Coffee I've been to. Drinks are made quickly and delicious.

There are some really great people at this location and a few who just don't get it. I come in nearly every day, always using my Philz app as they remind me, and over time I've earned more than 2,000 points. Then suddenly, without redeeming a single free drink, my points disappeared. When I mentioned this to the barista who sees me daily, she said, "You'll have to call customer service." I explained that given the situation, the value of one earned drink is a fair and obvious resolution. Her answer: "I have to talk to my district manager to authorize that." Really? You need district manager approval for a $4.80 drink when a loyal customer's points vanish? That's disappointing. I left and went to Peet's. Great coffee but Philz, you're better than this. I think hiring self directed people who can make decisions would have been the right decision. Please empower your teams to make it right when loyal customers have clear proof of their support. Absurdly ridiculous! read more

It really makes me sad how the Private Equity people treated their employees. You can tell the focus on profit has taken the focus off the quality of the drinks. They don't taste the way they did 10 years ago. I miss when Philz from before they sold their soul. read more

Had to wait a few minutes for the cashier while she was filling a pastry order. She was friendly enough, but this store does not accept cash payments. Why does it need a cashier? Other shops use tablets to take orders and read credit cards or phone apps. I would think baristas could answer questions. Just an observation. I had the Jacob's Wonderbar, which had a slightly unpleasant acidic finish. I'll give Philz another try with a different blend. I may be too picky, but for $4.90 for a small cup, the coffee has to be almost perfect. As far as ambiance, it was very sterile and very bright and not inviting. Five Stars for Misael! I have to give a huge shoutout to Misael -- he's the best barista! He's been making my drink almost every morning, and it's always perfect. He takes the time to ask if I'd like anything adjusted and makes sure I have everything I need before I go. Even when it's super busy, he's patient, kind, and genuinely friendly -- always tells me to have a great day. There have been times when another barista made my drink, and Misael still checked in to make sure everything was right. That level of care and consistency really stands out. It's clear he takes pride in what he does and truly cares about the customers. Philz is lucky to have him! read more

Don't get me wrong, the service here is amazing, the ambiance is great, and all of the baristas are very friendly. However, the quality of the coffee is less than ideal, as it is VERY watered down. I understand every barista makes a cup of coffee their own way but when I, as a customer, ask for my coffee to be sweet and creamy, I would like for it to be that way. Not watery and bitter. I would love to give this Philz location another try, so please retrain the baristas! read more

So this was my second time at this location. The first time during their soft opening, I had the almond croissant which was free on thos day which was nice and iced rose. Both were great in that it was not too strong and just the right amount of sweet and cteaminess and not watered down. The croissant sorry if I spelled it wrong but any who it was warm and really melt in your mouth goodness. Today I had the iced honey haze which was just as good as the rose I had on their soft opening sweet and creamy as i like it to be. I also had the chocolate chip cookie warm and ooey goodness. This place is right next to sprouts and if you feel the need for a coffee pick me up to go they wont disappoint. Granted they are still fairly new, give them a try the service is gteat and they even have you try it amd see if it os tp your liking. As for me np complaints, the service is great and they are very accomodating. If you need a napkin they got one for you and even on the soft opening I asked for a napkin so I could clean a little bit what i spilt on the floor and table and one actually was willing to clean up for me which I truly felt badly. It is a very roomy and at the same time a cozy place. Quiet and chill atmosphere. You can here yourself talk without the blaring music. Overall a good second experience. Will I come again yes if I am in the neighborhood. Come check it out they wont dissapoint. And no im not paid to say what im sayin lol. I normaly dont write a review after a second visit but this place is good ppace to unwind and chill over a nice cup of joe if one is in the area. read more
