The vibes of the place are soo nice to chill and get work done ! it was pretty packed when i arrived at around 2pm. the girls in the front were very nice and fast ! There's lots of outlets but when it's busy, be sure to have ur devices fully charged ! I got the coconut matcha (regular sweet) and it was SOOOO yummy !! the matcha is absolutely fantastic and smooth, not bitter, and the blended iced coconut is perfect for a sunny day !! 10,000/10 !! i tried their pate chaud (chorizo and pork) but they also offer sweet flavors as well ! they were steaming hot and nicely seasoned ! 10/10 ! they're small but SUPER filling. i wish they had an image of their bahn mi since it does sound good but $8.5 is an interesting choice ... maybe next time i come ill get it, because i will most definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others !! read more

It feels like the matcha hype in Campbell isn't slowing down anytime soon with the addition of Phin Cafe. I enjoyed my matcha latte, it wasn't overly sweetened and you could really taste the matcha. I'm sensitive to caffeine so this was strong enough to keep me up (which I wanted). I also enjoy their Pate Chaud though I find it quite overpriced. Love swinging by this place for a pick me up when I'm running errands. Drinks come out quickly and didn't seem like the matcha was pre whisked. The vibes of this place is nice, and had a great atmosphere for working, plus there are plenty of outlets and relaxing music. The salted matcha latte is the main reason I keep coming back here. It's so good and I've never had anything like it. The double matcha is also good and the banana matcha is decent. It has pieces of banana in it if that's your thing rather than a banana pudding matcha. It's a nice place with lots of tables to get your work done or just hang out. I will say it takes awhile for them to make the drinks so don't expect to pop in real quick to grab a drink. I did try ordering for pickup through DoorDash once and my drink was more liquid than a blended consistency. It can be difficult to get a workers attention because they can get busy. What can I say? This place has completely exceeded my expectations of a Vietnamese coffee place. I love the clean, airy, modern, Asian inspired ambiance, the delicious coffees and snacks, and the welcoming, attentive service. I was so hooked after my first visit that I ended up coming back three times in a row! They have a great variety of drinks on the menu, and many of them feel like little works of art. On their menu, I've tried the Milk Iced Coffee, Coconut Coffee, Phin Experience, Rosie Dream Tea, and Peachy Orange. Their coffee is bold, rich, and pretty flavorful. I ordered everything light sweet, and it was the perfect balance. It all had just enough sweetness while still letting the depth of the coffee beans shine through. The teas were just as enjoyable. Both the Rosie Dream and Peachy Orange had bright, refreshing fruit flavors, but the Peachy Orange was definitely my favorite! I loved the taste of the peach and orange together. As for the food, the Grilled Pork Bánh Mì was delicious. The bread had the perfect crisp, the pork was savory and flavorful, and everything came together really well. I am so happy there is a new Phin location, one that is closer to me! They have multiple tables for working and studying, along with outlets nearby which are important. Since I'm a huge fan of the Cupertino location, I naturally had to check out this new Campbell spot, and it did not disappoint! The interior is absolutely stunning, with plenty of tables that make it a perfect environment for both getting work done or just chatting with friends. However, my only gripe is that half the drink is ice, which felt a bit excessive. I have been to other Phin Cafes but not this location yet. Interior is very aesthetic of brown earthy accents. It is very spacious and big, plenty indoor seating, perfect for studying/working/group hangouts. I usually only try their Viet coffees since it's what they specialize best in. I was recently recommended to try their matchas from another friend who said they got better, so I got curious and decided to try them out. Overall, their matchas are on the sweet side but subtle. It could be stronger. Drinks: - Matcha Egg Cream: wish the cream was thicker and sweeter - Banana Matcha: actually pretty good, unexpectedly. Banana tastes pretty good and real. I was confused at first because I didn't know the banana would be mixed in already instead of on top. - Jasmine Milk Tea: don't recommend it. Thin tea style (using less milk/creamer), the flower is definitely floral and fragrant but it's too much to the point where it's like perfume. I hesitate to leave a review...although I always get a seat, it gets busy. This place is great, service (great, friendly staff), ambiance, food, and drinks! I've sampled a few drinks and everything that I've had is great, but the salted coffee is the one! I do recommend trying a flight to sample a few of their coffees or teas. As far as food, I've had a couple croiffles (not sure I spelled it right), how can you go wrong mixing a croissant and a waffle, they're so good, if you're looking for sweet. I was really excited to try Phin Cafe! The flight is a good concept and also really aesthetic! I tried the Classic Flight, but none of the flavors really wowed me. It was cute that the flight came with a tiny banh pia! That was yummy. My boyfriend liked the salted coffee. We also got a large egg coffee, which was yummy. I was intrigued by the chorizo and taro pate chaud, so I had to try those! I was worried that the chorizo was going to make the pate chaud super oily, but the puff pastry they use isn't super oily so it balanced the chorizo very well. Unfortunately, because the puff pastry is dry and taro is a dry filling, the taro pate chaud was very dry. I used the matcha and pandan cream in my flight to make the taro pate chaud less dry, and that was good. Service was a bit slow, but it was kind of busy when we came! I really wanted to like this place because of the cute aesthetic inside, but unfortunately I didn't love it. I ordered the pandan coffee & ube coffee. The pandan was way better than the ube. Pandan coffee just had a pandan cream on top while the ube coffee was ube mixed with coffee? Such a cute and modern cafe with plenty of work space. They roast their own beans so that added a pleasant coffee smell while I was there! They have a wide range of coffee to chose from. I decided to be adventurous and got their durian coffee! The creme on top was sweet and has a nice pleasant durian aroma. The coffee itself stays true to it's roots, strong and sweet. I got default sweetness and it was pretty sweet for my liking. I would definitely recommend 50% sweet if you decide to try their coffee. Overall, a solid spot and friendly staffs. Stopped in at 4 pm because I've been dying to try the banana matcha latte. I try to avoid caffeine because of the effects it has on me, but I needed this matcha. It was so worth it. Ordering was quick and easy. They really take their time crafting their drinks. The banana matcha latte was the best one I've had so far and I've had about 10. I especially loved the fresh banana chunks paired with the earthy matcha and creamy oat milk. My friend ordered a decaf egg cream coffee and it was presented nicely. There are plenty of seats and space for you to work from your laptop. Charging points aren't an issue. Phin cafe has a concoction of drinks. The Durian Cream was well-flavored and delicious as well. The coffee underneath was thick and strong just as I expected. I enjoyed the Spinach Mushroom and Cheese Pate Chaud immediately. As I bit into the Taro, the flavor of it didn't hit me immediately, but as I continued with it, its subtle flavor really came out, and it was delicious. Tried both the pho Vietnamese coffee and the pandan coffee. I genuinely felt bad not giving this place 5 stars because everything else was great. The star deduction is only for the pho coffee flavor. To be fair, the worker did give me a heads-up that it's a 50/50 item, but I wanted to try it because it sounded fun and unique. Unfortunately, I wasn't a huge fan. It tasted a bit sour at first, and toward the end had a strange aftertaste. Not many times have I disliked a coffee, especially a Vietnamese coffee, so this one just wasn't for me. However, love the creativity! That said, the pandan coffee was excellent. My mom ordered it and we both really enjoyed it...smooth, flavorful, and easy to drink. I would 100% return to try their other flavors, especially their tasters, because I can already tell they'd be amazing. Service was outstanding and the ambiance inside was great. So, when they opened the Campbell location and I heard that this is where they roast and sell their beans AND new coffee concoctions are dreamt up, I had to go. First, this location is aesthetic af. Next level cool and cozy. Lots of windows, plenty of seating, beautiful and eclectic furniture, and a huge serving counter. We tried so many drinks: Mulberry salted lemon coffee: somehow this concoction works. Doesn't sound like it would but the sweetness of the mulberry syrup balances the salted lemon and the coffee gives it depth. A well rounded drink that I could easily see as a dessert cocktail (BYO alcohol). Flight #2: samples of their iced coffee, salted coffee, matcha cloud, pandan coffee. Variations of the staple coffees they offer and a great way for coffee enthusiasts to try a few. Our fave was the matcha cloud. So smooth. It also came with a pastry, I think it was mung bean. Nice and fresh. Phin tea: a tisane of loose leaf jasmine tea, jujube, and goji berries. A light and fragrant tea to warm you up while reading a book. We also got a croffle with fruit and choco drizzle. Delicious! As always, service was impeccable. The seating is plentiful. I think I've found my new favorite coffee spot. The first thing that caught my attention was the décor. It has an American coffeehouse feel with subtle Asian influences throughout. The furniture, lighting, and overall atmosphere come together beautifully. It doesn't feel like a Starbucks, and it doesn't feel like a typical Vietnamese coffee shop either. It's a perfect blend of both worlds, making it unique and inviting. Even the music was soothing and added to the relaxing vibe. I ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee with less sweetness, and it was excellent. In fact, I wish I had ordered the larger size! I also tried the grilled pork sandwich, and it was outstanding. I'm proud to say it's one of the best I've had, and that means a lot because I love Vietnamese sandwiches and have tried them at many different places. The crowd was diverse, with people from all walks of life coming in. I noticed students studying and others working on their laptops, which gave the café a welcoming community feel. Came here on a fairly busy Sunday at 12pm. Modern, clean ambiance with lots of seating. Fast and exceptional service from staff and the owner, Jason Nguyen. I got the peach orange with less sweet, which was the perfect sweetness in my opinion. More orange than peach flavor and u can definitely taste the floral tea undertones. My friends got the egg coffee and matchas and absolutely enjoyed it as well. Jason is very generous and offers to remake drinks to ensure his customers are satisfied! We shared some of the pork/chicken patê chaud: very crispy exterior, and great ratio of meat to flaky biscuit. Overall, a great study/meeting spot with quality handcrafted drinks.
