Phin cafe is a brief walk away from the lagree studio that I attend. I drop by after class to grab a coffee and get some work done. The staff are friendly and the crowd is chill. There are plenty of seats and space for you to work from your laptop. Charging points aren't an issue. Phin cafe has a concoction of drinks. The drinks here can be sweet so you can request to adjust the sweetest level. I rotate between their ice matcha or their salted cream ice coffee. I always request for less sweet and less cream. I'm a big fan of Phin Coffee. I frequent the Fremont location often. So, when they opened the Campbell location and I heard that this is where they roast and sell their beans AND new coffee concoctions are dreamt up, I had to go. First, this location is aesthetic af. Next level cool and cozy. Lots of windows, plenty of seating, beautiful and eclectic furniture, and a huge serving counter. We tried so many drinks: Mulberry salted lemon coffee: somehow this concoction works. Doesn't sound like it would but the sweetness of the mulberry syrup balances the salted lemon and the coffee gives it depth. A well rounded drink that I could easily see as a dessert cocktail (BYO alcohol). Flight #2: samples of their iced coffee, salted coffee, matcha cloud, pandan coffee. Variations of the staple coffees they offer and a great way for coffee enthusiasts to try a few. Our fave was the matcha cloud. So smooth. It also came with a pastry, I think it was mung bean. Nice and fresh. Phin tea: a tisane of loose leaf jasmine tea, jujube, and goji berries. A light and fragrant tea to warm you up while reading a book. We also got a croffle with fruit and choco drizzle. Delicious! As always, service was impeccable. The seating is plentiful. Tried both the pho Vietnamese coffee and the pandan coffee. I genuinely felt bad not giving this place 5 stars because everything else was great. The star deduction is only for the pho coffee flavor. To be fair, the worker did give me a heads-up that it's a 50/50 item, but I wanted to try it because it sounded fun and unique. Unfortunately, I wasn't a huge fan. It tasted a bit sour at first, and toward the end had a strange aftertaste. Not many times have I disliked a coffee, especially a Vietnamese coffee, so this one just wasn't for me. However, love the creativity! That said, the pandan coffee was excellent. My mom ordered it and we both really enjoyed it...smooth, flavorful, and easy to drink. I would 100% return to try their other flavors, especially their tasters, because I can already tell they'd be amazing. Service was outstanding and the ambiance inside was great. Came here on a fairly busy Sunday at 12pm. Modern, clean ambiance with lots of seating. Fast and exceptional service from staff and the owner, Jason Nguyen. I got the peach orange with less sweet, which was the perfect sweetness in my opinion. More orange than peach flavor and u can definitely taste the floral tea undertones. My friends got the egg coffee and matchas and absolutely enjoyed it as well. Jason is very generous and offers to remake drinks to ensure his customers are satisfied! We shared some of the pork/chicken patê chaud: very crispy exterior, and great ratio of meat to flaky biscuit. Overall, a great study/meeting spot with quality handcrafted drinks. Love the coffee and love the ambiance of this particular location. Their coffee offerings are unique and they even have coffee flights. If you're not into coffee, Phin also has teas, smoothies, along with both sweet and savory snacks. The girl at the register was friendly and helpful in explaining their popular drinks. The vibes of the place are soo nice to chill and get work done ! it was pretty packed when i arrived at around 2pm. the girls in the front were very nice and fast ! There's lots of outlets but when it's busy, be sure to have ur devices fully charged ! Yay Vietnamese coffee has to touched down in Campbell! This space is beautiful, with plenty of seating for hanging with friends or studying. Wow! I'm used to the Phin Cafe on Blossom Hill and this one has a different vibe. It has way more space and, at least right now, has a more chill feel with nice music and beautiful Christmas decorations. Currently there are multiple people working on their laptops and some groups of friends, so it's good for all different crowds. Location is amazing because I can drop by after my class at Bar Method, pick up something to eat or drink and be on my way! The service is friendly and efficient. I felt comfortable to ask questions and take my time looking at the menu before ordering. I ordered a hot White Matcha and it's very yummy! The cashier said that he has a sweet tooth and normally has things at full sweetness. I like my drinks to be a little less sweet and so I ordered it that way-- it is perfect for my taste buds! I would not recommend this place. I ordered my drinks with no ice, and they came only about halfway full. On top of that, they were barely cold. If you're ordering iced drinks like an ube coffee, Nutella coffee, or matcha, they should still be served cold even without ice. Most cafes use cold brew coffee and refrigerated milk, so the drink stays cold while still filling the cup. That is standard practice at many coffee shops. The strawberry matcha was also very disappointing. There was only an extremely thin layer of strawberry at the bottom of the cup. Other cafes usually add a generous amount of strawberry, so you can actually taste it throughout the drink. Overall, this felt like poor value for the price. Half filled, warm drinks and barely any strawberry is not what I expected. I won't be coming back, and I would recommend others spend their money elsewhere. read more

I really enjoy the ambiance! I've been here a couple of times once for the soft opening and we've returned once more to try the other flight. I've tried both of their coffee flights and the corn coffee (because I love corn). The corn coffee might actually be my favorite one because all of the other ones are either too acidic or I'm not a fan of the cream. I like how they have the flights so that you can try multiple drinks. The flights are only available for dine in since they have the little tray with the place cards and they're served in glass cups. Out of the two flights we've tried, I liked the Phin Flight #2 more. I tested the wifi while I was there and it was pretty fast! Though I was one of like 5 people in the store so it's possible it's not as fast if there's multiple people working from there. The wifi password is printed on the receipt. The parking lot is spacious enough since the plaza is pretty dead. Most of the spots you'd be fighting over people with are those that are trying to go to the Habit. Parking isn't quite as bad as the Philz coffee one block down, but I could see it possibly getting that bad as people find out about this place. Before reading this review, just know my boyfriend and I have a very plain and simple tastebud when it comes to coffee shop drinks! We ordered the iced milk coffee and a jasmine cold brew! Vietnamese tend to be a bit too strong for me, so I didn't personally try it. My boyfriend loved it though. He asked for only a bit of condensed milk, since he likes his coffee unsweetened most of the time. The jasmine cold brew comes unsweetened which I enjoyed. It was very refreshing. Our total came out to 11.50 which I think is a bit pricey, but also understand (in this economy). Inside is very nice. It would be a great study space! As part of the grand opening weekend they had a 20% off deal going on. We had been to Phin Coffee in our area but wanted to try this new one. We got the pho coffee and the corn matcha drinks. The pho coffee is exactly what it promised: the flavors of pho with the star anise, cinnamon, lime, and a hit of spicy. I thought it was great to try once as it really was like pho in a drink but would not get it again for $12.50. Their Phin creations are mocktail adjacent and reflect that in their price. The corn matcha drink was also a welcome back from fall. Nicely separated layers between the corn and the matcha that complimented nicely when mixed. We wish that this was a permanent menu item instead of just seasonal. As for the location itself, it's massive. The place has its own coffee roasting machine behind the counter. It also looks like a great place for people to study or relax as a third place. The decor is very cozy being wood tones with lots of plants and it's not overly loud. The layered lighting as well as many large windows also add to the ambiance. Smooth jazz playing in the background if you're into that. The staff are very friendly and casual. One suggestion for improvement is the line / queue. We came just before a small rush of people. The guests behind us people lined up in front of the register towards the door, blocking some entry. I can see if this place gets busy enough, people may not know where to stand and block the entry way. Having a more defined line area that guides patrons to move closer to the espresso machine and leading to the register may be helpful to alleviate line issues in the future. I got the Egg Matcha and it was alright. I saw that the matcha is electrically whisked. The quality of the matcha is mid. The egg cream top is the best part of the drink. Checked out Phin Cafe for the first time after seeing their Instagram post about their soft opening offering 20% off your entire order. Stopped by around 10:30am on Sunday and the line was right out the door with maybe 4-5 parties ahead of me. I waited about 5-10 minutes to place my order, but then the order took a while to come out. We noticed the food order was ready in just a few minutes, but the drinks took another 20ish minutes. We ordered an iced egg coffee and an iced white coffee and both loved it! We got the egg coffee less sweet and it was very strong. The white coffee was regular sweet which put the coffee on the milder side. Also tried their pork and chorizo pate chauds. The meat fillings were great (liked the pork more than chorizo) but the pastries were a little dense and could be flakier. I'd get it again but definitely not the best I've had.
