Stopped in for a strawberry matcha latte and it was so good. I got less sweet and it was perfect. Love the fresh strawberry puree. They also have egg tarts, which seemed popular. Oh and soft serve. Service was fast and friendly. Love the vibes inside with the warm woods and bonsai trees.

I visited the Palo Alto and San Pedro Square location before and enjoyed the matcha gelato a lot. I was happy to see that they opened one up near me! Walked here on a Sunday at around 8:30 when they were almost closing. I got the matcha gelato which is my favorite and the matcha and hokkaido swirl in a cone. Both very tasty- I like the gelato consistency and strength of the matcha a lot. This location has a really nice interior that definitely is ideal for studying or catching up with friends. The workers there are also very friendly. Overall good vibes and glad a matcha spot is nearby!

Stopped by this new South Bay location after a visit to T&T. The setup felt a bit chaotic -- the cashier was handling everything while the other staff focused on cleaning, even with a line forming. I waited about five minutes to order a drink, only to be told they stop selling beverages 30 minutes before closing. Ended up getting soft serve and tarts to go instead. They definitely close earlier than the Palo Alto location, and the ambiance here feels more run‑down in comparison. Hoping they tighten up operations because the menu is great, but the experience wasn't quite there yet. Excited about the tofu gelato

One of the best new matcha chains in the bay area. I got a Strawberry Matcha Latte. The matcha is strong and still shines despite the strawberry puree, and the puree tastes fresh. Whatever whole milk they use doesn't irritate my stomach either so that's a plus. (I'm lactose intolerant ) Love how spacious this Maruwu Seicha is. Compared to the other locations, this one is huge and is amazingly ventilated. Every time I come there is a consistent breeze. The Palo Alto and DTSJ locations feel incredibly cramped. The workers are nice and efficient. Campbell isn't exactly known for their matcha or asian food scene so there a lot of people trying this place for the first time. It looks like the workers are nice enough to explain their menu to everyone. Obviously I will return.

I love the matcha here! The space has lots of seating and the ambience is really comfortable. The strawberry matcha is my go-to drink, but I don't think you can really go wrong with the matcha combos.

I love Maruwu. I think their matcha is better than other matcha places. When they opened other locations they were always crazy busy and lines and lines of people but not this place. This is not a hype place anymore?! I'm not sure but its kind of nice get great matcha drinks in few minutes for me. Might not be too great for the business?! Idk. Location is great and free public parking everywhere so I feel like they should have a little more people... hopefully soon. Maybe a lot of people still don't they are here. If you don't like matcha, try Hokkaido ice cream. It's really different, tastes exactly like Japanese Hokkaido milk.

So happy to find this chain open in Campbell Downtown. Top quality Matcha based drinks. Loved the Matcha Pistachio Latte with Okinawa Brown Sugar Boba. It was quite strong. Great ambiance inside to hangout with friends. The staff were friendly.

Brand new to downtown Campbell is the Maruwu Seicha. The place is new and clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The gelato is amazing. We got the gelato cup with matcha level 3 and soy (kinako). Both flavors were fantastic. The matcha was really rich without being sour. Soy was a bit sweet but had a great flavor profile. I'll definitely go back soon.

Glad this place has opened!! We were there while visiting the Annual Campbell Car show and was surprised to see that there wasn't a line. I got the Hawaii Ube Matcha Latte and it was good! Thicker than what I was expected but not bad. I would love to come here and work but I do not think they have WiFi available to the public. Vibes are so cute on the inside There's a lot of seating available on the inside and one unisex restroom available in the back. I'll have to come back to get their gelato another day!

super cute spot - good for some cafe style deep work, a date spot, family hang out, fast ordering, and good vibes all over! this isn't the freshly made matcha spot, which other stores may have i'll be coming here a bunch! thanks for the just-because brownie gift from the staff!

My daughter loves this place. Warning, it is packed & very pricey, paid $8.50 for a Velvet Soy. It's delicious though. It's very creamy, more like a dessert.

"You wanna grab matcha?" WHY OF COURSE I DO! Nestled in the heart of downtown Campbell is Maruwu Seicha. Beautifully decorated with dragons on the wall and greenery, it gives a very aesthetically pleasing appeal to the eye. There is a wall for of lots of merchandise that you can bring home if you are obsessed with their matcha. I ordered a matcha latte with snow top which is basically the sweet cheese. Delightfully mixed and carefully curated this potion refreshed me on my day going about my errands. I also tried the Hokkaido cream tart and it was absolutely delightful. Service was friendly and fantastic I asked for recommendations and she told me that these two were pretty popular so I went with the classics.

    Mimi L.

Stopped by for a sweet treat after dinner. Had their regular matcha ice cream as well as their pistachio matcha ice cream. Was a huge fan of the pistachio flavor! Definitely recommend this place for a good dessert after a meal in the downtown Campbell area. I will have to visit again to try out their matcha drinks!

What I…read morereally like about this place is that one may customize the menu depending on dietary concerns (vegan, lactose-free, shellfish allergens etc.), but however one customizes, the quality is fort-rate. Our party consisted of family and friends who had differing dietary concerns, but we were each able to eat delicious ramen without any worries. We started out with some appetizers - the Karaage Chicken and the Umami cucumber. The chicken had a nice crunch, yet the meat was juicy and tender! Nice! I appreciate the matcha salt that came with the chicken, as it added a little extra flavor to the chicken. And the umami cucumbers were joyfully crisp, with a slightly sweet soy sauce base, the sesame seeds and the bonito flakes on top adding to the umami. I ordered the Sukiyaki Beef Ramen - something unique, and it is not listed on the colorful poster on the door, nor was it listed on the menu card on the table. It caught my eye, though, when I ordered using the QR code. I felt like this was something on a secret menu or something . . . I was in heaven! The sukiyaki beef was tender and flavorful with that sukiyaki sweetness, and it perfectly balanced the saltiness of the broth. Oh, darn! I forgot to take a photo of the bowl of ramen!! Oops! Well, as I mentioned at the start of this review, I was delightfully full at the end, especially since I just could not leave perfectly delicious broth in the bowl. Good enough to drink as a soup! I must say, however, that when this place first opened, I was not impressed. And when I ate here two years ago, I was equally unimpressed. Today, however, I am blown away! Whatever they changed really is for the better. They have found their footing and Hinodeya Ramen Bar has matured into a wonderful place for ramen.

We're given the choice to order via the QR code at the table or via their staff, and we chose the former. I liked that they provided a lot of options to customize our ramens. We had to pay online before placing the order, though. Staff seemed friendly. They brought out glasses with and without ice based on our selections, and gave us a jug of water so that we could fill the glasses ourselves. The food came out quickly. The 3 of us shared two appetizers: Shishito Peppers and Umami Brussels Sprouts. Both were surprisingly delicious. The Brussel sprouts came with some spicy Tabera (fried garlic and onions), a lemon wedge and lots of bonito flakes. The shishito peppers had a perfectly seasoned soy glaze. I had the Hamaguri Ramen. The broth was very tasty, and came with loads of clams. While there's no sand in the clams, they're a little too chewy. It's still a very solid clam ramen; better than most I had tried in the Bay Area. It's even better with the Tabera. I tried the broth of our daughter's Butter Corn Spicy Miso Ramen at spicy level 1. It was very flavorful, and not too salty. My husband enjoyed his ramen with less sodium as well. It's great that his place opens till 11pm. Will come back again next time we want a late dinner.

There's a free parking garage around the corner which was nice as well. We ordered an assortment of the raw fish crudos, honestly loved all of them. Out of all of them, the one I liked maybe just a little bit less was the tuna tostada (in terms of both portion size and taste). The cornbread was one of our favorites (portion size is on smaller side), and the only dishes that fell flat for us was first the fried chicken (very bland inside), and the buffalo mussels (too salty and spicy, but we have low spice tolerance). Nevertheless, as someone who eats with her eyes first, I very much loved the presentation of all the dishes. The menu rotates often, so very excited to come back again! Portion size is on the smaller side for sure (tapas), but prices were relatively reasonable, total came out to ~$150 pre tip.

Unfortunately, our experience during our most recent visit was so disappointing that we no longer plan to return. While we were having dinner, my dad was watching a soccer game on his phone. At no point did any staff member ask us to lower the volume. After the table behind us left, our waiter politely informed us that those guests had complained about the sound and asked if we could turn it down. My dad immediately lowered the volume without any issue. After that, we noticed the owner repeatedly looking at us and speaking to the waiter about the situation. Feeling uncomfortable, my dad asked if everything was okay. The owner's response was unexpectedly rude and confrontational. He aggressively told my dad to turn off the phone, even though the volume had already been lowered and my dad was complying. The interaction felt hostile and intimidating. From that point on, we felt extremely uncomfortable. The owner continued to stare at us and discuss the situation with staff while we were trying to finish our meal. Rather than stay and enjoy the rest of our dinner, we decided to leave. In more than 10 years of dining here, we have never experienced anything like this. We understand that noise complaints can happen and would have gladly cooperated, as we already did. What was upsetting was the way the situation was handled by the owner. Long-time customers should be treated with respect, and unfortunately, that was not our experience. Because of how we were treated, we will not be returning.

Anywho, we ordered a variety of items to try: new stamina don, clam chowder croquette, kani chirashi bento, and a salmon kama bento. Regarding the food: New stamina don came with slice beef, sliced beef tongue, braised pork, poached egg, and kimchi over rice. The sliced beef was cooked to rare, and the braised pork was very tender. The rice also came with the poached egg, kewpie mayo and a lemon, mixing it all together with the rice made it have a nice creamy flavor. Clam chowder croquette was something I have never heard of before, so I definitely wanted to try it. This was delicious, would definitely get it again. A fried crispy croquette with clam chowder in it but also some mashed potatoes and tonkotsu sauce on top. Kani chirashi bento had snow crab, fish roe over rice, rolled egg omelette, sashimi, fried boneless chicken, and edamame, blistered tomatoes and shisito peppers with pickles. The sashimi came with 4 pieces, 2 tuna and 2 salmon. the tuna was a little fishy but the soy sauce helped. The salmon was actually pretty good - good fattiness. The fried chicken was fine, a few pieces were dry. Overall this bento was good. Salmon Kama bento is salmon collar over rice, fried boneless chicken, takoyaki and edamame, blistered tomatoes and shisito peppers with pickles. The salmon collar needed some salt in my opinion. We also ordered the seared salmon ikura bowl, which wasn't anything special and really lacked flavor. But after weighing the price of the all-you-can-eat vs ordering exactly what we were craving a la carte, we decided to just order off the menu, which was the smart move since it was much less expensive and we ended up full. The place is casual and a little not-fancy decor or ambiance wise. You wouldn't bring anyone here you wanted to impress. . .but the food is what's important, right? The sushi was good! The rolls were large, the options were creative, and everything was tasty and met expectations. I wouldn't say it's elevated sushi, where there are layers to the flavors and you go "wow". But you get your sushi and see the portions are a good size and are happy that you get to dig in and eat satisfying sushi. I'd come back here again, especially for casual sushi where you want good value. Service was good as well - again, nothing fancy or overly attentive, but perfectly adequate for the level of restaurant. We grabbed the menus ourselves from a nearby table. We originally wanted to try their AYCE, but since the whole table had to participate, and one of us wasn't that hungry, we decided to order a la carte. We're glad we did. The 3 of us were already stuffed after sharing an appetizer and 4 signature rolls. The sweet potato tempura came out piping hot; the batter wasn't too thick. While the dipping sauce lacked flavor, the dish was still ok, and not too oily. We're impressed by the number of signature rolls they offered, and tried to pick something we hadn't seen at other sushi restaurants. My favorite was the lobster tail tempura that came with the Boujee rolls. It was tasty with a light batter. The plating was beautiful. The torched salmon, shrimp tempura and spicy tuna were good as well, but I didn't really see any real crab inside. The Skittles roll was pretty delicious, too. I liked that it had unagi, crab, tobiko, and avocado among other things. The Umami roll also had unagi and carb, but the salmon skin and bonito flakes were what made the roll special. My daughter didn't care for the salmon skin, though. The Black Mamba was interesting if you liked softshell crab. I didn't care for the macadamia nuts, though. Portion size was huge. However, their rolls weren't rolled very tightly nor cut evenly, and their rice was on the sweeter side as other Yelpers had mentioned. Since most of the rolls had similar sauces, they kind of tasted very similar, despite the different ingredients. I wouldn't mind coming back again to try other items on their menu when I'm in the area.
