But first, Matcha! Best place to get your premium matcha fix in the area. This location is known to have long lines but it's completely worth it! We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy, but the line wasn't too long and it went by quick. Lucky us! Cute decor too, especially with all the matcha bowls in display. I ordered the Strawberry Yuzu Matcha Tea which contains a layer of strawberry puree, a layer of Japanese yuzu citrus, and an award winning Marukyu Koyamaen matcha. My kids ordered the Crème Brûlée Matcha Swirl which is made with their house made crème brûlée, yum! My drink was refreshing and you can taste the blend of all the flavors. I took a sip of their drinks and it was a little jealous because it was so good! It wasn't too sweet either. So I guess you can say that we'll be back?

Went during a Monday afternoon so thankfully no crazy line. Still had to wait a bit because of the one kiosk lol. I brought my visiting cousins and they really liked the inside and kept taking pictures I myself got the crème brûlée matcha swirl. Usually I get the honey matcha latte but holy shit was the crème brulee one so good. Def getting that again

Probably my new favorite matcha place in the bay. There was a long line the whole time we were there, but it honestly moves pretty fast and you can watch for a break when the line gets shorter if you're dining at one of the many restaurants in the same plaza. I got the strawberry matcha, and I love that they give you an option to add an extra matcha shot for free, makes it feel extra worth! It was definitely one of the smoother matchas that I've had and even with the extra shot, the flavor profile felt very balanced. The drinks come out very fast. The place is decorated super cute as well with all the matcha bowls for sale and sonny angels and smiskis.

Can't go wrong with Izumi! It's a very convenient spot to grab a quick matcha soft serve fix. The line is usually long, but sometimes I get lucky and catch it when the crowd is smaller. I think it's good that Matcha Town opened nearby - now people can stop clogging up the lines here LOL Personally, I think the matcha flavor in the drinks isn't strong enough and could use an extra matcha shot. I remember when there was a matcha shortage... I probably contributed to it as a customer lolol

I thought my Yuzu Matcha Tea was a little too sweet at the recommended sweetness, but I can see myself loving it next time if I order less sweet. We waited about 10 minutes to get in, order, and leave with our drinks. It was worth the wait and was about $7.37 a drink. No places to sit inside, but there are tables outside.

Honey matcha with matcha soft serve top. They won't take out the ice and the soft serve has an icy bite but I don't mind

Hands down the best I've ever had. I always get the honey matcha latte and add some matcha soft serve on top so I can have the best of both worlds. My drink is about $10 but I don't come here often. Other favorites are the soft serve on it's own and creme brulee matcha. The line may be long but once you order your drink comes out pretty quick. My only gripe here is no online ordering. If you see them online it's probably the Silver Creek location. The drinks are good but I can inhale my whole drink in a few sips. Don't even think about sharing you get a lot of ice and can't modify. Still my fav in all of the Bay.

I get why this place is always so busy. The matcha is genuinely stellar. I visited on a Thursday evening, and there was no line, which was a surprise. During my previous visits, there was always a line out the door. You order at a kiosk, which means limited interaction with employees. The service was extremely fast. My friend and I both got our treats minutes after we ordered. There is no indoor seating but there are plenty of benches outdoors. The interior is minimally decorated, and I noticed a wall full of gorgeous, handmade pottery. The treats here were so tasty! My friend tried a Classic Honey Matcha Latte, which she stated had a deep matcha flavor. I tried the matcha and black sesame soft serve. I'm not even a huge black sesame fan, but this black sesame flavor was addicting. It was nutty, creamy, and probably the best black sesame taste I've ever had. It wasn't a really strong black sesame flavor (which might be why I liked it so much). The subtlety in flavor helped with the richness of the soft serve. The matcha soft serve was equally delicious, a vivid green color. It once again wasn't super in-your-face with the matcha taste, so if you like a stronger flavor, this may not be your favorite soft serve. I really enjoyed my experience/dessert here and would absolutely visit again to try some of their famous drinks!

I can confidently say that Izumi Matcha is absolutely worth the hype and yes, even the long lines. Their matcha quality is genuinely on another level. You can taste how fresh, smooth, and vibrant it is compared to most places, which is why I keep coming back again and again. I've visited more times than I can remember, and I'm always more than willing to make the 30+ minute drive because it never disappoints. The shop itself is on the smaller side and you don't get much traditional service since ordering is done through an iPad, but honestly it doesn't take away from the experience. While waiting in line, I love looking at their display of matcha tools, it's beautifully set up and makes the whole space feel authentic. If you're a matcha lover, this place is 100% worth the trip.

Finally got to try this and it did not disappoint! The Creme Brulee Matcha Swirl is surprisingly good. The matcha delivers a smooth, slightly bitter depth, while the creme brulee swirl adds a rich, caramelized sweetness. The texture is creamy with just the right balance. A great treat for matcha lovers who want something a little more decadent. Will definitely come back!

We've had inconsistent experiences with the matcha lattes here in the past--sometimes they're great, and other times the tea tastes oxidized. This time, we decided to try the Kuro Hojicha Latte with black sesame whipped cream. The sesame cream was heavy and rich, the hojicha latte itself was a bit average and watery. Since the sweetness isn't adjustable, the drink ended up being a little too sweet for my taste.

    YJ L.

I have been here a million times, and each time, the quality was consistent, and I always left happy! Out of all the matcha places, Izumi is definitely one of my top favorites. They also offer a free extra matcha shot in your drink if you'd like. They also sell extremely beautiful matcha bowls, whisks, and matcha powder from Japan! I haven't been able to purchase the matcha powder because it's always sold out, but maybe one day! Lines are long during popular times, but service is decently fast! Parking is in the plaza, and theres also lots of other stores to walk around to.

I'm not a big matcha drinker but theirs was pretty good. I've always seen a massive line outside but it usually looked like it went by relatively quickly. Took about 20 minutes on a weekend. Walk in and order on the kiosk. On occasion, if the line gets too long, they start calling you to the register when you get inside. They also sells ceramics, which is on display indoors - I saw a lot of bowls. Upon looking through some yelp reviews, the creme brulee matcha swirl and the honey matcha latte seemed popular. The creme brulee matcha swirl was good, but the creme brulee (syrup? caramel?) was way too prominent - if you like chewy chunks of creme brulee caramel throughout your drink, this is for you. Personally, I enjoyed the matcha shake texture, but wish you could order this drink without creme brulee, or at least adjust how much was in there. The honey matcha latte was great actually. Not too sweet, solid earthy matcha flavor - would definitely get this again. Honey adds a nice subtle sweetness to it, but isn't overpowering. Definitely add the free matcha shot, I don't think it would taste strong enough without it. As it stands, I feel like it could be even stronger.

Came to try this spot even on a rainy day because there's always room for dessert. Ordered at the self kiosk and got my soft serve rather quickly. No seatings available, it's a pretty much get your order and go. As far as the taste, the black sesame is great. Could use a tad bit more black sesame or have pieces of it. But still good as is. Can't wait to go back.

Is there any way to order for delivery (DoorDash, uber eats, post mates, through your own website, calling the location)? I want to order delivery for about 10 people for my friend's birthday and can't find it on any delivery apps.

No. No delivery or online ordering. Gotta stand in line

Can you buy matcha powder here?

Matcha powder by Nanaya is available for purchase.

    Do you sell gift cards?

We don't sell gift cards currently.

Hi, For drinks with a sweetness level choices, do they offer sugar free sweeteners as an option? Thx :)

Trying to understand the calories for the strawberry matcha latte (less sweet). May i ask approximate how many oz of milk is being used? also sugar? I saw online recipe for honey matcha, it needs 12oz milk. even with iced?

1484 Halford Ave Santa Clara, CA 95051…read more This was my first visit to Baker's Village in Santa Clara. It was a warm day, and I was drawn to this bakery by their fruit smoothies. It was near 5pm. I walked in and the place was empty. The gentleman behind the counter greeted me. I asked for a strawberry smoothie, then walked around to survey all the baked goods. It's a small bakery with lots of trays of individually packaged cakes and pastries. The smell was very pleasant and comforting. Using a flat basket (or tray) I grabbed a few selections. I picked 2 "Heart Pies" that resembled my favorite French Butterfly Cookies. Also 2 pound cakes. The total rang up to just over $21. There's some small tables for enjoying your purchases there, but I took my items to go. The icy cold fruit smoothie was very good and very cold! Not too sweet, it had a natural strawberry taste. The Heart Pies were good and fresh. But the Pound Cakes were probably "day old." I noticed there's no dates or "best by" tags on the packages. It's a nice place to visit, and I will return again. Free parking in plaza lot.

The items were in generic packaging without labels, so take a pic of the items you like so can order when visit next time. While my family enjoyed all the items, I really enjoyed the black sesame studded puffy rolls that I think were made with rice flour. There was a large group of older Asian ladies, including one who brought their lap dog, enjoying good conversations in their native language with their baked goods and tea or coffee. Another gentleman was taking a video call to help decide the best cake to buy. Will add this bake shop for a place to have a coffee meeting and to favorite in Too Good To Go.

I got the basic jasmine milk tea because I love jasmine tea and knew that if any place were to make the best jasmine milk teas, it would be this place. Molly is Chinese for jasmine anywayyyyyy (shout out to my coworker for telling me this!). I did not try my brother's tea so I cannot comment on it. I liked my jasmine tea, I can tell it was higher quality than other places I've had jasmine tea, but is it worth the hype? I don't think so. It's good, don't get me wrong, but wait-in-a-3-hour-line good? nothing is. I think I've also become desensitized to the high tea prices that $7-8 is somehow normal? When it shouldn't be! My only frame of reference nowadays is seeing how much tea cost in Asia. And in Taiwan (the birthplace of boba) I got boba for $3 ;( *sigh oh well I live in one of the most expensive places in the country but also I cannot believe I let myself think this is okay. Anyway, it's a treat, not a habit I would give into everyday.

Which isn't to say this place is cheap; like many artisanal bakeries in California, it comes with a premium price tag, but at least it's not Dominique Ansel pricy. Croissante's croissant dough baked goods (viennoiserie) is pun-intended "proof" that you get what you pay for. The dining space is limited and lively.
