Strawberry matcha, matcha matcha, & Lemon
    Maddie L.

I'm pretty picky with my matcha and this place is good! I've been twice but tried multiple drinks (matcha matcha, matcha latte, lemon, strawberry matcha). You can actually taste the matcha unlike a lot of other matcha places where it's just sweet. If you get the flavored drinks though, the matcha is more hidden. For example the matcha latte with sesame cold foam or strawberry matcha, it's harder to taste the matcha flavor. But that's expected as the other flavors are just much stronger. This is a very small pop-up truck so it does take a little bit longer at times to get ur drinks. And it's in a parking lot, so a grab and go. Pricing is average, but love that they charge the same price for diff drinks. Definitely one of the top matcha places in the bay that I've tried.

It has been on my to-go list for awhile and I was excited to hear they're doing a pop up in Saratoga. I came around 2:30pm and their was a long line. I recommend coming early since most of the items I wanted to try was sold out by the time I came. It's a small truck but plenty parking. Drinks: - Matcha Latte: classic, thin matcha but not as strong as I was expecting, borderline watered down but also a good amount of the bitterness compared to sweet matchas - Hojicha Latte: roasted part of the leaf, unexpected favorite, strongest in terms of flavor profile, but it feels like it was not broken down enough since I can taste the graininess/powder? - Kochi Tonic: a sparkling yuzu matcha, yuzu overpowered the matcha, but still refreshing and citrusy. I couldn't taste the matcha

It was a sunny Saturday afternoon, when my partner and I had to stop by this matcha pop up. It was rather dissatisfying. There was a huge line, but it moves incredibly slow and to top it off the matcha wasn't even that good. It is as if they ran out of sweetener because all of our drinks were bitter. They also ran out of the strawberry jam, but they didn't warn anyone in the line that they ran out. Imagine all I wanted was a strawberry matcha, and lo and behold they don't have anymore. It would not be too hard for one of the three employees to just warn the line that they ran out. Though the matcha looked like it would be so good, it ended up being just all ice and pretty mid. Unfortunately I would not try this spot again.

This little matcha cart is full of surprises. I got the lemon curd latte and it was very yummy. It was light and airy, it didn't feel too heavy. The lemon flavor was perfect in my opinion. The service is also good. The cart is also very cute.

Went to their pop up event at temaki bar and tried the hojicha with sesame cream and strawberry matcha latte. Both were very fresh and tasted good. The tea was high quality. The staff was friendly and patient. Great event!

Fantastic drinks! Very dank matcha. You can adjust your sweetness level and option to do non dairy milk (oat). Staff is very friendly. Drinks are made expertly. You can tell that everything is made fresh and with quality ingredients. We tried 3 of the drinks and they were all fantastic. We got right there when the pop-up opened and a line started to form pretty quickly. Would 10/10 go again!

Absolutely love this place. This is one of the best matchas I've ever had!!! The cart is so cute and they prepare the drinks quickly after ordering. One of my new favorite haunts!!

Hand whisked premium matcha. Delicious. No charge for oat milk. No tip? This is crazy. Five stars

Drinks were great AND hand-whisked. Shout out to the 3 workers because standing in the trailer and whisking is difficult AND they had great vibes! Matcha flavor is prominent for the strawberry matcha and I'd go again to try the cloud matcha

Small pop up with premium matcha and made with care. Drinks have the matcha hand sifted then blended. The strawberry matcha was excellent! Puree kept the flavor intact the whole time and the nice little block of ice kept it nice and cool. Looks great and tasted great too. Long line... worth it

Still in the pop-up phase! I have seen their Instagram which sold matcha and hojicha powders originally and they are now opening up a small stand. They ran out of the double which was what I originally wanted but got the strawberry instead. It had a cream top which I was not expecting and the matcha was wished fresh as the top was still warm to the touch. There was a line when I got there and three people working hard so worth a try but be patient especially in the sun. The stand is super cute but hopefully but as expected no seating and more of a grab and go. You can get their powders as well!

Came at the end of popup, where I knew they would be out of stuff. Told me they had enough to make a strawberry so I got one with lite puree. They must have hated me because my matcha had significantly less matcha than the people before and after me. Not sure what I did to pay full price for half a drink. Lite puree does not equal lite matcha. Strawberry puree was very good at least.

I wished I discovered this earlier and now I have to hunt them down for popups all over the bay haha! My second time attending at their popup this weekend. Last time I went was at there usual trailer spot in Saratoga. They usually have a set trailer location. And I heard they are opening their permanent store soon! All drinks are made by hand. Today, I got the strawberry matcha and it was right amount of sweetness and the matcha was STRONG and they are not stingy! Love how glossy it looked and creamy. Not watered down even though today was hot! They really craft each cup with care in the heat while following the traditional Japanese ritual method whisking. I visit Japan twice a year and the taste reminds me of Kyoto. Service was consistent and I adore small minority owned small businesses. All of them worked so hard and they took feedback from customers to streamline operations so we don't need to wait long. I made friends in line lol and noticed everyone was so patient. I may or may not book them for my wedding next year..hehe

What I…read morelove about it is that you don't have to chase down local food trucks by checking out their Twitter or Facebook updates to know where they'll be parked. And on top of that you get to experience a whole bunch of awesome Bay Area food trucks all in one spot. Moveable Feast on Friday nights in Willow Glen is a great foodie date night for sure. The bf and I have been here twice now (first time was still during my jaw surgery recovery phase where I was unable to chew, so it wasn't as exciting for me then). This last time we went we noticed that the most popular trucks were Sam's Chowdermobile, Grilled Cheese Bandits and Hill Country BBQ. The lines for those 3 were endless. But we did get to try come mashed tater balls and a delicious italian style grilled cheese sammich from Grilled Cheese Bandits about an hour before Moveable Feast was closing. And the bf got the very last link dog over at Hill Country BBQ, which he said was better than the Miso Dog he had over at Oh Miso Hungry truck. Let me list out what we had at the few trucks we chose to order from. Oh Miso Hungry Kimchi grilled cheese was actually not as good as it sounds. The kimchi was definitely delicious but it didn't taste right being super warm in between those pieces of Texas toast. And the Miso Dog the bf had, he liked but didn't love. MoGo BBQ Kalbi and bulgogi tacos. I liked the meat, tasted good. Not a fan of the corn tortillas they used. Barefoot Coffee The bf ordered a small coffee on drip to swing over to Treatbot Ice Cream since the guy over there told us the ice cream tastes bomb with that coffee. I had a sip of that coffee, holy shizz it was strong! Treatbot We had a scoop of horchata and a scoop of chocolate ice cream to go into the coffee. This is the second time I've had their horchata ice cream and I'm a HUGE fan for sure. Hill Country BBQ They ran out of most of their food about an hour before closing time. I liked the sauces they had out and pretty curious about the Porkolicious sauce. Looked interested! Next time, I'll be sure to try some of that pulled pork that was oh-so-popular. Grilled Cheese Bandit We ordered the small order of mashed tater balls which were okay but a bit too salty for us. Their Giuliano sandwich sure was bomb though! It came with mozzarella, parmesan and tomatoes with pesto on this amazingly soft Italian batard bread. Hands down, best thing I ate that night. I'm still very curious about what Sam's Chowdermobile has to offer but that damn line never let up! It was also extremely chilly that night, what the F happened to summer weather San Jose? But yeah, next time we'll definitely have to just stick it out and stand in line for some chowder. I would rate Moveable Feast 5 stars if they included better dessert trucks than just Fairycakes (cupcakes, which I'm not a fan of) and ice cream and candy. I want some PIES or something a bit more dense for dessert peeps!

They have three available meats for their $1 taco deal: al pastor, carnitas, and chicken. The taco truck only accepts cash or Venmo. The atmosphere was casual, with plenty of group of friends waiting for a late-night bite. The food was definitely worth the wait. The tacos were filled with meat, onions, and cilantro. Each taco was so flavorful, and the meat was cooked to perfection. My favorite was definitely the al pastor: it was tender and savory. I can't wait for my next visit!

I ordered 5 tacos for $5.50 with different meats to try. You can order with either pollo, carnitas or pastor. I got 3 pastor, 1 pollo, and 1 carnitas since my friend said the pastor is the best meat here. Had to wait about 10-20 minutes for the food to come out. You can also see the meat on the rotator machine. * Pastor: The pastor meat is flavorful and so good for the price. I definitely recommend this be the number one meat you try. * Pollo: This is their chicken and I thought it would be dry and super bland but it was pretty good. It just tasted like a healthier taco option. Not bad but I still prefer the pastor over this. * Carnitas: Good but pastor still the best. All the tacos come with the option of onion and cilantro. They have a 3 sauce bar of the red, green and orange sauce. Yall their orange sauce got a kick to it! I like it because I like spice. Parking here is limited so you might have to find street parking. There's also a seating area on the left of the food truck and you most likely will share a table with someone else.

The best of the bunch was the dahi batata puri, but it still didn't quite hit the spot. It was definitely on the sweeter side and I felt like the dahi/yogurt wasn't as creamy as I prefer. The chinese bhel was okay, but didn't have much flavor. Lastly the ragda pattice had so much potential. The flavor was there, but it was insanely spicy- even as someone with a med/high spice tolerance. You could feel the burn traveling down to your stomach. All of us found it unbearable and worse of all felt the affects for a day after. Perhaps we ordered the wrong dishes but after the all the discomfort of the meal- I don't feel inclined to return.

Yesterday, I ordered a Vada Pav, Shalimar Egg Mughlai (on their recommendation from their list of egg dishes), and a Veg Frankie -- and honestly, none of it lived up to the hype(5 stars currently) or price point. Vada Pav: It was okay. The "mirchi" served alongside was literally a raw Thai green chili. Really? At least pan-fry it with some salt and oil to enhance the flavor. For over $10 with taxes, this was already pricier than better Vada Pavs you can get at places like Elco Drive, and yet it offered nothing exceptional. Frankie: This one made me genuinely angry. It was a soggy maida roll stuffed with the same aloo masala from the Vada Pav, plus a few sad shreds of cabbage. That's it. And they had the audacity to charge $12 for it. ($1.50 for cheese, lol I am glad we didn't add)This isn't a Frankie -- it's a lazy repackaged Vada Pav with no flavor or creativity. They threw in some pickled jalapeños on the side, which only added confusion. If you're running a fusion menu(well partially), at least mention it upfront instead of misleading customers. Egg Shalimar Mughlai: At $13, it was passable but still not impressive. The bun on the side was not toasted or anything. Better than the Frankie, but nothing I'd recommend or return for. I was so excited for trying this place but, overall, this place is overpriced, underwhelming, and frankly disappointing. If your Vada Pav and Frankie are practically identical, maybe inform customers before they order both. I wouldn't recommend Maya Kitchen -- save your time, appetite and money and go somewhere else.
