Cash and venmo only food truck posted up at a car repair shop on the San Jose/Campbell border. It had been years since I had La Burrita! I came here twice recently and tried a good variety of the menu, and I can't believe it took me so long to get back here. On the first visit I got a Torta and two sopes to share, I'd had the sopes in the past and liked them. The sopes were still very good, but the torta absolutely stole the show. I didn't get it on my second visit because I wanted to try some more stuff, and regretted not getting it because it was so damn good the first time. On the next visit I ordered a super burrito, quesabirria, shrimp taco, and taco plate with Al pastor, all to share again. It was for two of us and was way too much food, but the leftovers were great. The burrito was super solid, nice and big and loaded up with everything. The al pastor tacos were good, and I'd definitely order the al pastor again in either burrito or torta form. Everything we had here was good, but the torta, sopes, and burritos were my favorites. They have 99 cent tacos on Tuesday evenings, an unreal deal. There's a covered area next to the truck with a few picnic tables.
My husband found this place on social media as they were promoting their $0.99 Taco Tuesday special. It's a taco truck with a tent and picnic tables set up next to a smog station. I like that you have the option to dine-in and eat the tacos while they're fresh. The picnic tables and surrounding area were clean and well lit. Note, it's cash only for the Taco Tuesday tacos. We came at ~5:30PM and found a parking spot out front. Luckily, there was no line as we heard this place can get busy. I ordered 5 Al Pastor and 5 Carnitas tacos. 10 tacos might be overkill as I found 6 tacos to be more enough for a filling meal. I personally liked the carnitas better than the al pastor, but did find that both meats were on the dry side. The tortillas are smaller than your average street taco, but for $1/taco, you can't complain about this deal. They have a mini sauce bar with 3 types of salsas. Green, red, and orange. Note, all salsas have a kick, with orange being the most spicy. We were informed by the lady working that they don't give salsa containers if you dine-in so you have to pour the salsas directly onto the taco. Start with a small amount to test your tolerance level and you can always go back for more.

Soooo scrumptious. Taco tuesdays here should be gatekept, so consider yourself lucky if you're ready this review. You really can't complain about $1 tacos in this economy!!! The Al Pastor is definitely a big highlight here! Sweet and savory. Well made, and has a fresh sweetness from the pineapple they use. Tender pork and it's quite delicious. There's only 4 picnic tables outside this little truck, so expect to get this as takeout during peak hours!!
Who doesn't love $1 tacos on a Tuesday!? Found this place on tik tok and had to go here on a Tuesday! It's in San Jose adjacent from the Campbell area. The food truck shares the area of an auto body shop, so you can park directly on site or park the KFC next door. It's only a 3 minute walk away. There's always a long line since the tacos are so good and the turn around is go fast. They have 3 meats of el pastor, carne asada, and pollo. Our group ended up getting 20+ tacos at the end of the night. The place has benches for sitting but you're going to have to wait or share since it's a popular spot. Definitely coming here again!
About six months ago, I had the goat quesabirria tacos at Copita in Willow Glen. They were fantastic -- tender, flavorful, totally worth the price. The goat flavor was bold and unmistakable, yet cooked so well that even someone in my group who never eats goat ended up taking my whole taco... and then we ordered another plate. That's how good it was. The only real miss? No horchata. I had to pair it with alcohol, water, or a fountain drink, and honestly... quesabirria without horchata just doesn't feel right. I walked away thinking, "If only they had that white horchata, this would've been perfect." So for the past half year, I've been on the lookout for a spot that serves both quesabirria and horchata. Today, I finally found it at this food truck (they've got tables set up outside) -- and it felt like checking off a little bucket list item. The beef quesabirria tacos here are loaded with big chunks of chuck, slow-simmered until juicy and tender, with just the right amount of collagen. Way better than the shredded versions. Portions are generous too. Only downside? The salsa verde could use more heat. Now, the star for me: horchata. Thick, rich, full of rice flavor, with a bit of grainy texture and specks of real vanilla bean seeds. Not the watery sweet kind -- this one has weight, depth, and a lingering vanilla finish. Pairing it with quesabirria felt like the universe was finally aligned. And here's a bonus detail: through the food truck window you can see a trompo al pastor turning slowly. Didn't try it this time (already too full), but just seeing it there was enough to make me drool. In the Bay Area, most taco trucks rely on prepped meat -- very few still use the real spinning trompo. That deserves credit. Friendly owner, fast service, clean setup. For a food truck, they do not cut corners. Bottom line: if you're chasing beef quesabirria tacos with real horchata, this is the spot. Saw this taco truck on Tik Tok promoting 1$ tacos on Tuesdays and had to come check them out. I ordered 15 tacos 8 pastor and 7 chicken. They are small portions but worth every bite but you definitely get what you pay for. The sauce is super flavorful as well and service was pretty quick after I ordered. Highly recommend if you're in the area to check them out. Will be coming back again on Tuesdays! Btw orange sauce is really spicy.
Oh man their nacho cheese fries are so good. Super hot and fresh. So much toppings. Just had to add their spicy orange sauce to make it spicy. Their taco Tuesday is only good for their Al pastor. The asada and chicken are always too dry but the sauce can make up for it. The pastor is always moist though. I wanted to try their asada fries and it was really nice on a cold day. Fills you up and keeps you warm. Just rmemebee you don't get to go containers for the sauce if you dine in. Their tent with tables is a really nice touch to just hang out. You really don't hear much Road noise even though you're pretty much near it. Service was just simple too, order, get food.
Tried this spot on a whim and it was so good! I got chicken, Al pastor and asada tacos my favorite of them was the asada it was very tender and flavorful. The chicken and Al pastor were good as well just not as good as the asada was. All of the salsas were pretty spicy so if you can't handle spice you won't like any of them. Ended up getting 12 tacos for $48. Overall really good spot! I'd come here again for sure.
But it was sooo gooooooood. First taqueria for me that had a beautiful presentation along with delicious, flavorful food. My mouth wants to eat more than my stomach can handle. Meat was really good.

Stopped by for their $1 Taco Tuesday, which advertises unlimited carnitas, pollo, and al pastor. Sounds like a great deal, but the experience didn't quite match the promise. They said they were out of al pastor, even though a full stack was still rotating on the grill for everyone to see. It came off as more of a tactic to slow down orders than an actual shortage. The tacos were fine, but the way they manage the deal feels misleading. If there are limits, just say so. People understand cost control, but pretending something isn't available when it clearly is doesn't leave a good impression.

The most delicious $1 tacos! I visited on a Tuesday evening, and the line to order was extremely long, as expected. We waited around 30 minutes before we ordered. They have three available meats for their $1 taco deal: al pastor, carnitas, and chicken. The taco truck only accepts cash or Venmo. The atmosphere was casual, with plenty of group of friends waiting for a late-night bite. The food was definitely worth the wait. The tacos were filled with meat, onions, and cilantro. Each taco was so flavorful, and the meat was cooked to perfection. My favorite was definitely the al pastor: it was tender and savory. I can't wait for my next visit! read more

.99 CENTS TACOS ?!?! Yes you read that right! There is a special deal on Tuesdays for Tacos here from 4-10pm. CASH ONLY!! And also make sure to bring .50 cents because it's .99 cents a taco plus tax. I guess the .50 is the tax LOL I came 8:30pm and there was a small line. I ordered 5 tacos for $5.50 with different meats to try. You can order with either pollo, carnitas or pastor. I got 3 pastor, 1 pollo, and 1 carnitas since my friend said the pastor is the best meat here. Had to wait about 10-20 minutes for the food to come out. You can also see the meat on the rotator machine. * Pastor: The pastor meat is flavorful and so good for the price. I definitely recommend this be the number one meat you try. * Pollo: This is their chicken and I thought it would be dry and super bland but it was pretty good. It just tasted like a healthier taco option. Not bad but I still prefer the pastor over this. * Carnitas: Good but pastor still the best. All the tacos come with the option of onion and cilantro. They have a 3 sauce bar of the red, green and orange sauce. Yall their orange sauce got a kick to it! I like it because I like spice. Parking here is limited so you might have to find street parking. There's also a seating area on the left of the food truck and you most likely will share a table with someone else. read more

Food was very good, ingredients were very fresh. The hot salsa was actually really hot loved it. They also prepared the food very quickly. Also they have ample seating for bring parked near a gas station. We might make this our regular taco place read more

This place is usually just around the corner from our house, so it is super convenient! Their 99 cent tacos on Tuesday (min 5) are legit Mexican street tacos, I dress mine up with cheese and sour cream. Feeds a family of four with tip for $30. Deal! read more

Came here on a night that my S/O and I were too tired to cook. People have been raving to both of us how great this place is. My friend comes here often on Tuesdays, and my S/O's recommend to try this place's Birria. Mango Agua Fresca - 10/10: would very much come back for the taste and portion of this drink. Not too watered down but also not too sweet - perfect pair with food. Carne Asada Super Burrito - 3/10: Would honestly not ever order again, even with other meat. While the burrito itself was perfect wrapped, a great portion size, and tortilla perfect, it lacked taste for me. The flavor just wasn't there and I was pretty disappointed. I couldn't even finish the halfway point for the burrito. I was also very surprised to take a bite from my burrito and discover a single piece of corn. QuesaBirria Taco - 2/10: Would not order again or nor recommend. My (3) Tacos were mostly cheese and onion, very disappointing. The shell was limp, flavor was missing from the tacos themselves - but were so much better with the spritz of lemon, which they did give me (2) pieces of. This place is located in a gas station / smog check area, which provides ample parking during their hours. Customer service is friendly, and super helpful; they brought our food directly too is, and we're patient as we were looking at the menu and ordering. The place itself isn't too loud but it also isn't quiet. At a distance I could definitely hear the other couple there talking, while more than 20+ feet away. Overall, this is an okay place to eat that will do the trick but I don't think I'd come back for anything other than the Agua Fresca. read more

Pros: - Great selection of food at a very reasonable price! My personal favorite was the taco plate ($14) that comes with 3 tacos + side of price and beans. Have to try the other stuff next time! - Fast! The food truck owner was friendly and got food out quick - Seats and tents right next to the truck which makes it easier to enjoy the food right after you order and not have to just take it home Cons: - It is behind a gas station which could turn some ppl off due to smell and grittiness of the area - Parking can be limited since it is in a tiny lot and no street parking for at least a block away Overall- Excellent food, authentic dishes, and will definitely be back! read more

Who would think that there could be a gem who shares a street corner with an auto shop. That's what I did. Typically, Mexican food trucks have basic menus and you make up your mind seconds before it's your turn on what you're having even though you get the same stuff most of the time and that's it, end of transaction. You've had a Ramen Soup bowl from the microwave before, you've had Birria before... but have you had them together? -that's what i saw in the picture and something possessed me to order THAT instead. I am so glad I did. I enjoyed the whole thing even though I'm my mind I was just "trying it". Welp, (and Yelp), I love the two. It's a strange concept that is also a MUST "try". read more

Always amazing food. I've spent some time trying to compare it to its competitors in the area and this place is always so flavorful, and awesome The people who work here are so nice and patient when spoken to as well. They've got a little cute seating area beside the truck which is nice for anyone who wants to sit down and eat. They took effort in making it actually good looking, I'm pretty impressed Overall, the food here is great! Definitely worth the try! read more
this place is my go-to place when I am craving tacos. there aren't many taco trucks in the area, and I don't want to go all the way to essj. I enjoy their quesabirria, but I think one is enough. I wish their shell was a bit crispier, but its pretty soft/soggy. It still tastes amazing though! lots of cheese so it gets filling. Consume is extra I also like their tacos as well. I especially like the tripas and lengua and cabeza. super tacos are great and filling too! it gets pretty messy bc they stuff them I love love love all their salsas. the orange one is my favorite. Their agua frescas are good too. they are accommodating and if you tell them something is wrong or missing from your order, they will quickly fix it. check their instagram if they have their $1 Tuesdays al pastor tacos! it is yummy and such a deal! it is cash only for these tacos but you can use card for the rest. Parking is extremely hard because they share the same small parking lot as an auto body shop. It is literally in the corner of their parking lot. You would have to park elsewhere and walk or try your luck! I am happy to see them thriving! I remember at the start of the pandemic, they just had a small tarp covering and a small fold up table. glad to see that in a few short years, they have upgraded to nice benches and a better quality/sturdier coverings. read more
Went there yesterday morning with my boyfriend for early lunch. The tacos were amazing! Very cool-looking truck too, with fridges and flatscreens on the outside and a shady seating area nearby. The spices and flavors of the tacos were amazing. Would definitely eat there again! read more

TLDR: food lacks consistency but the service is exceptional and the salsa is tasty. I've been twice-- I can't remember my thoughts after my first visit, but after tonight's visit, I'll say the food is tasty but lacking consistency. I ordered a super burrito, no pico de gallo, and added onions + cilantro, and guacamole. Everything was very concentrated on one side of the burrito/bottom (reference photo). Considering they most likely up charged me, there was little guacamole and sour cream with an overwhelming amount of rice and meat. On a positive note, the staff has been nice and all the salsa options are really tasty-- I like that I'm able to pour it myself. read more

Dollar tacos???? Count me in!!! I love the tacos here. It is so delicious and it is very satisfying. 24 Al Pastor tacos for $25. Wow, what a deal!!!! They do cook the Al Pastor and meat outside, but today it is super cold in the Bay that they are inside. It is a taco truck which is nice, but I wish it had its own spot. They are near a quality shop and not big of parking. By the way, it is cash-only for dollar tacos. So remember to bring cash. Other than that, it is a must to come down and eat some delicious tacos. Birria ramen and quesabirrias are def trending now!! They're really not classic traditional Mexican food. Well, birria is traditional, but not mixed with instant ramen or the quesabirrias. And even though birria means goat, everyone uses beef in their quesabirrias and birra ramen these days. It's all good with me. It's new, it's fun and tasty too. I jumped on quesabirrias a while back when one of the very first places in the Bay Area started serving them in the East Bay. This was fine here, but the tortilla got very soft very quickly. Be sure to eat these asap because once the cheese solidifies, you won't get that ooey-gooey cheesy goodness. Hubby loved the beef and said he'd come back for this. I came for the Birria ramen. It's made with instant ramen, but it's all about their own broth and beef. I got plenty of tender beef in my instant ramen bowl, and the broth was flavorful without being overly salty. I ended up dipping my quesabirria into the ramen soup. At $8.99, it's not inexpensive for instant ramen, but again, it's about the broth and the beef. Service is pretty quick even though it was pretty busy at moments today, on Saturday. Also, though it's a food truck, there's a decent amount of bench seating on the side. The workers are nice which is plus. Not something I'd get every day but they've got tacos, burritos, etc. too. read more

I really want to love this taco food truck and their revolutionary ramen taco that they are selling. We came there during non rush hour on a Wednesday. Their location is at the same place where the oil change place is, forgot the name. However, they have their own tent, chair, and table to eat outside. Why it's only 3 stars: - We came here specifically for their taco ramen. My girlfriends even came all the way from Hayward to test their new ramen menu. Verdict is their ramen noodle is too soggy for me. And their taco broth is just overwhelmingly too salty for my taste bud. Saying "I don't like this food" is way too harsh to judge someone's food, however, we are accustomed to what we eat, therefore, we have our own standard in judging if the food is too complex or has too much seasoning on it. In short, if the food doesn't satisfy one customer, it might satisfy other customers. - We also tried their tacos, lingua, beef, and grilled pork. Those tacos are delicious. Kinda need seasoning a bit more on the meat, but the meat is tender enough, which means they did a good job in tenderizing it. - We tried their cheese quesadilla as well. Pretty standard, quite solid quesadillas, quite authentic if you compared to the ones served in mexican fusion restaurants. - Aqua Fresca is nice and refreshing. Too bad horchata was sold out on that day. We didn't try their quesa birria tacos, I know we're missing out their trademark menu. But hey, maybe it will be a good reason to come back and try it next time. read more

They have such a wide variety on its menu: birria ramen, quesa birrias, buritos, tacos, nachos, sopes, tortas, enchiladas, flautas, and other plates. Here's a tip: the green salsa (self serve) is spicy.. get it! I wanted to write a bad good review because I was planning on ordering the birria ramen and 4-5 quesa birria tacos but the super nice lady that took our order warned me that it's pretty big and that I should order no more than 2 so I listened but when I got home I didn't want to share w/ Gavin. Hell, I didn't think he'd want the ramen but he ate half of it leaving me to starve.. clearly exaggerating but yeah.. if I went w/ my usual ordering protocol I would have been filled w/ gluttony. I can't wait to return. They have specials on the weekends at the Willow location and they have tables setup outside... I will return this weekend. Thank you for the delicious birria ramen and quesa birrias.. I will probably order the entire menu this Saturday or Sunday. read more
