Chips and Salsa
Katie R.

Another one of those spots that I've driven by thousands of times and always said I needed to try. Many, many years later, I finally got here and am so glad that I did, and of course wished I did sooner! Service was super friendly, we were greeted with a warm welcome before we even got to the counter. Placed our order at the counter and grabbed a table on the patio. They have a nice outdoor patio with a handful of tables and a good amount of seating inside, it was definitely bigger than I expected from seeing it from the street. I got the two fish taco special with grilled tilapia and a my boyfriend fish burrito with breaded tilapia. Both the grilled and breaded fish were fantastic, flaky, and flavorful! I loved that the breading was light and not all greasy and fried tasting. They had 3 different salsa ranging from mild to medium and hot. We also went back and ordered chips and salsa once our food came. We came on a nice warm Friday evening a little before 6, when we first got there there was only 1 other group, but by the time we left the place and parking lot was packed! Excited to come back and try some of their other plates and meats!

Came here for the first time last night with my BFF and my daughter who is visiting from Seattle. We all LOVED our dishes, and my Chicken Chimichanga was awesome! Staff is friendly! Nice hot sauces and a cozy space to eat in. I will be back!

Orale? More like Oh, really? The expectation from delicious Mexican cuisine, with an emphasis on fish, made me salivate with anticipation. That anticipation was decimated and slowly changed into bewilderment each passing bite. Taco salads is an amazing and deletable creations, albeit not authentically Mexican at all. I just enjoy the fish because it's an excuse to devour a giant taco as a bowl. However, this particular salad didn't make me want to devour anything. It made me appreciate other taco salads and the future mini taco salad Taco Bell will release soon. The taco shell is the most important part. It's the structure of the entire dish, and that structure was ruined! Tasted older than my grandma I visited an hour prior. The salsas were mid and tasteless and had as much flavor and zest as my dry humor. Random olives were scattered about. The fish (Tilapia is what I ordered) was pretty nonexistent like my dms. All I tasted was lettuce and beans. There was no rice. I like rice. I heard there used to be rice in this specific taco salad. Other taco salads I've had has rice. This had no rice. All I tasted was lettuce and beans. No bueno.

The outdoor patio was nice to sit on while eating my burrito. Only 5 outdoor tables. Kind of loud because of the street and parking lot. My burrito was ok, lots of rice and kind of spicy. The tostada looked good. Prices were ok.

I had an hour to kill and was starving so my son and I popped in to Orale. It was a cold , stormy day and comfort food was in order!!! I had the chicken fajitas plate ( split it into two meals it was so filling!). My son had the chicken enchiladas plate. We both enjoyed our food and the fountain Diet Dr Pepper was a nice surprise! Don't miss out on the 3 different salsa in the fridge- grab yourself- I had to learn this! Enjoy.

Beer time! Best with spicy food

I love the fish burritos here! Fresh and plentiful. We also Love the afternoon visits where the spicy chile verde complements the beer! Great place for a quick lunch or anytime treat

ORANGE SAUCE! But more on that later! I originally stumbled on Orale during my search for a taco salad in the area. Their Taco Salad includes lettuce, beans, cheese, olives, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, and your choice of protein all in a fried flour tortilla bowl. My only request would be for them to include rice in it as well! For the protein, I really like that you can choose a meat even a fish! Meat options include carne asada, grilled chicken, shredded chicken, carnitas, and chile verde. Fish options include tilapia, salmon, red snapper, and breaded cod. I opted for the red snapper to try something different and enjoyed it! I tried some of the Meat Chimichanga with chicken too, and this was good! It was a pretty decent sized burrito with rice, cheese, refried beans, and meat in a fried flour tortilla with sour cream, pico, and guac on top. Now for the sauces! They have squeeze bottles of their three different sauces in the fridge in the dining area. You can grab your own to use, or you can fill a mini plastic containers to add to your to-go order. They have a red, orange, and green sauce. The green sauce has a little more of a kick than the other two, but my favorite was definitely the orange sauce! Adds such great flavor!! Parking lot is shared with a couple other businesses, but I didn't have any trouble finding a spot on a Friday evening. You place your order at the counter, and they'll give you a number to place on your table. Seat yourself, either indoors or on their outdoor patio, and someone will bring your food to you. They have plastic utensils on the counter, but I think that's for to-go orders only, since when we were brought out food, they also brought us metal utensils and napkins. Regular hot sauce bottles (like Tapatio) were already on the table too!

Cali burrito

After a long day of errands, my girlfriend and I stumbled upon Orale while craving a delicious burrito with chips and salsa--and it didn't disappoint! The person taking our order was nice and I asked him for recommendations. He said the most popular is the carne asada but his favorite is the pastor. Pastor Cali Burrito I went for the pastor Cali burrito, and it was fantastic. The fries were super crispy, the al pastor was juicy and well-seasoned, and the cool avocado added a perfect bite. The highlight? Grabbing the orange sauce and avocado salsa from the fridge--an unbeatable combo that elevated the whole experience. Carne Asada Cali Burrito My girlfriend had the carne asada Cali burrito, and it was equally impressive. You just can't go wrong with a classic carne asada burrito done right. Chips and Salsa The chips were perfectly crisp and light, paired with a salsa that had a fresh, vibrant flavor. Whether house-made or sourced, the quality was undeniable, adding the perfect crunch to complement our meal. The place is somewhat nice but needs a bit of updating but that doesn't matter to much for me as long as it serves me food like this all the time. We're already planning our next visit to try the super burrito with rice and a shrimp burrito. This place is definitely on our list of regular spots now!

Enchiladas (cheese) plate
Lisa M.

Service was fast and friendly and prices were real reasonable. I got the cheese enchilada plate. I didn't love the enchiladas though. The sauce was way too tomato-y (and I usually love red sauce too but just tasted like tomato sauce), and they were lukewarm (I generally don't ask for things to be reheated since experiences has been they just microwave them lol). The cheese sprinkled on top wasn't even melted. The beans were pretty good, could have used more cheese. The rice was fluffy, not super flavorful but okay. Chips were just okay as well, tasted a bit dry. Salsa was pretty good. Believe they were $1.99 (not free here FYI).

Do they have a taco Tuesday special?

Does anyone know if the beans have lard in them? Meaning is a the veggie taco/burrito really…

Yes, I believe when I asked beans, rice and tortillas are all lard free. Unfortunately, the orange sauce is not vegan. :(

I ordered 5 super tacos to share with different meats (pollo, carne asada, al pastor, carnitas and chorizo). The super tacos come with cilantro, onions, avocado, sour cream, cheese and pico de gallo. All the tacos come with homemade corn tortillas - you could tell they were fresh. The tacos are big, not small at all. The carne asada, carnitas and pollo was my favorite. Al pastor was good as well, chorizo was not that flavorful for me. However, they also have 3 types of salsas (green, red and a creamy orange) you can use to help add some more flavor if needed. I plan to come back here to try their burritos and tortas as well next time.

The tacos were good and the tortilla they used was quite thick. The enchiladas had good flavor as well, and I would be interested in trying their enchilada with the verde sauce next time. Their prices have steadily risen over time and they have updated their menu prices as well. One thing that elevated this restaurant to 4 stars is their sauce! The red sauce and green sauce recipe is definitely unique compared to other taquerias. The red sauce bottle helps with the flavor tremendously and without it I would have rated this place lower.

However wifey got really sick. It's Mother's Day today and she's stuck in bed. I ate 1/4 of her burrito but I'm fine. So not sure how to rate this. Taste is pretty good. We asked for no beans so it's a bit plain but I still enjoyed it. - Gringas is like a quesadilla with pastor. It's alright but not worth $10+. I'd rather get 3 tacos! - Carne asada meat has a nice Smokey flavor. However it's jerky like toughness and a bit dry. - Someone in another review was raving about this place having the best Al pastor. So all of that hype made it a bit of a downer since I find it mid. Service (3 stars) + Typical food truck style ordering but it's more of a trailer. They have a little salsa bar with about 4-5 sauce options. Most of the food is prepared in a food truck where you line up and order. Seating is next to the sauce bar and they have first come first serve seating. Typical culture is to put the sauce directly on the tacos when you receive them. They give sauce cups if you order to go otherwise they are reluctant to give them out. Currently they are constructing a building around their seating area which is new. This implies that they are generating enough cash to turn their food truck and seating area into an actual establishment. Onto the food review! Carne Asada 7/10 Lengua 7.5/10 Carnitas 8/10 Cabeza 8.3 /10 Suadero 8.5/10 Al Pastor 8.5/10 Suadero and Pastor were top contenders with the most flavor depth. Personally I liked the cabeza as it was very soft, but the flavor can't compare to the suadero. The carne asada lacked flavor in my opinion and was the least tasty out of the meats we tried. Carnitas had that great crunch you're looking for in a taco as it is seared excellently. Lengua was flavorful and super soft just like the cabeza which indicates that they were both braised to perfection. All choices are very solid albeit be prepared for a very greasy meal. The star of the show is their avocado salsa! They offered 6 other sauces in their sauce bar but the avocado salsa was superb compared to the others. This was the only option that had me coming back to sauce bar throughout my meal. They also offered pickled carrots, jalapeños, and onions at their sauce bar to help balance the flavors. Finally the best JD big back tip is to get the large strawberry horchata! It was so good we finished ours before even taking a picture of it! The flavor profile on that beverage is superb, imagine a creamy strawberry yakult that is the perfect option to balance greasy tacos. This is a hidden gem item as their strawberry horchata is significantly better than other restaurants version of it. They also offer other flavored horchata but the strawberry remains top tier.

It's got a quaint hole in the wall kind of vibe, but was still clean - though not very air conditioned. We missed it, but there was a salsa bar in the corner near the entrance. We were served complimentary salsa and chips - nice refreshing, tomatoey and lightly spicy salsa. We also got guacamole, which you could tell was freshly made, chunky and refreshing. Glad we got this, because it helped cut through how heavy the molcajete de mariscos we got was. We were NOT expecting how large the mocajete is - this can probably be split across 3 if not 4 people. It comes out boiling hot, and with 3 tortillas, and a side of beans and rice. When we ordered, they asked us if we would want more tortillas since it comes with only 3 - we didn't even finish the 3 it came with. The sauce was tasty, tomatoey and spicy, and it was chock full of mussels, squid, sooo many shrimp, a whole filet of fried fish, and other goodies - unfortunately most of the seafood was pretty dry/overcooked. It came out to about $60 for the two of us. Overall, the mocajete was fun to try, but I think next time I'd try some tacos or a burrito if I were to come back.
