Orale is our go-to for shrimp tacos and shrimp burritos. The best!! The people are super friendly, too. Great service.
The vegetarian tostada is full of vegetables , beans , Guac , cheese and sour cream as well . Pour a bit of the 3 salsas that they have in house . The service is extremely helpful . The ambiance is informal and relaxing . They also have beer on tap .
Another one of those spots that I've driven by thousands of times and always said I needed to try. Many, many years later, I finally got here and am so glad that I did, and of course wished I did sooner! Service was super friendly, we were greeted with a warm welcome before we even got to the counter. Placed our order at the counter and grabbed a table on the patio. They have a nice outdoor patio with a handful of tables and a good amount of seating inside, it was definitely bigger than I expected from seeing it from the street. I got the two fish taco special with grilled tilapia and a my boyfriend fish burrito with breaded tilapia. Both the grilled and breaded fish were fantastic, flaky, and flavorful! I loved that the breading was light and not all greasy and fried tasting. They had 3 different salsa ranging from mild to medium and hot. We also went back and ordered chips and salsa once our food came. We came on a nice warm Friday evening a little before 6, when we first got there there was only 1 other group, but by the time we left the place and parking lot was packed! Excited to come back and try some of their other plates and meats!
Came here for the first time last night with my BFF and my daughter who is visiting from Seattle. We all LOVED our dishes, and my Chicken Chimichanga was awesome! Staff is friendly! Nice hot sauces and a cozy space to eat in. I will be back!

That anticipation was decimated and slowly changed into bewilderment each passing bite. Taco salads is an amazing and deletable creations, albeit not authentically Mexican at all. I just enjoy the fish because it's an excuse to devour a giant taco as a bowl. However, this particular salad didn't make me want to devour anything. It made me appreciate other taco salads and the future mini taco salad Taco Bell will release soon. The taco shell is the most important part. It's the structure of the entire dish, and that structure was ruined! Tasted older than my grandma I visited an hour prior. The salsas were mid and tasteless and had as much flavor and zest as my dry humor. Random olives were scattered about. The fish (Tilapia is what I ordered) was pretty nonexistent like my dms. All I tasted was lettuce and beans. There was no rice. I like rice. I heard there used to be rice in this specific taco salad. Other taco salads I've had has rice. This had no rice. All I tasted was lettuce and beans. No bueno.
The outdoor patio was nice to sit on while eating my burrito. Only 5 outdoor tables. Kind of loud because of the street and parking lot. My burrito was ok, lots of rice and kind of spicy. The tostada looked good. Prices were ok.

I had the chicken fajitas plate ( split it into two meals it was so filling!). My son had the chicken enchiladas plate. We both enjoyed our food and the fountain Diet Dr Pepper was a nice surprise! Don't miss out on the 3 different salsa in the fridge- grab yourself- I had to learn this! Enjoy.
ORANGE SAUCE! But more on that later! I originally stumbled on Orale during my search for a taco salad in the area. Their Taco Salad includes lettuce, beans, cheese, olives, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, and your choice of protein all in a fried flour tortilla bowl. My only request would be for them to include rice in it as well! For the protein, I really like that you can choose a meat even a fish! Meat options include carne asada, grilled chicken, shredded chicken, carnitas, and chile verde. Fish options include tilapia, salmon, red snapper, and breaded cod. I opted for the red snapper to try something different and enjoyed it! I tried some of the Meat Chimichanga with chicken too, and this was good! It was a pretty decent sized burrito with rice, cheese, refried beans, and meat in a fried flour tortilla with sour cream, pico, and guac on top. Now for the sauces! They have squeeze bottles of their three different sauces in the fridge in the dining area. You can grab your own to use, or you can fill a mini plastic containers to add to your to-go order. They have a red, orange, and green sauce. The green sauce has a little more of a kick than the other two, but my favorite was definitely the orange sauce! Adds such great flavor!! Parking lot is shared with a couple other businesses, but I didn't have any trouble finding a spot on a Friday evening. You place your order at the counter, and they'll give you a number to place on your table. Seat yourself, either indoors or on their outdoor patio, and someone will bring your food to you. They have plastic utensils on the counter, but I think that's for to-go orders only, since when we were brought out food, they also brought us metal utensils and napkins. Regular hot sauce bottles (like Tapatio) were already on the table too!

Pastor Cali Burrito I went for the pastor Cali burrito, and it was fantastic. The fries were super crispy, the al pastor was juicy and well-seasoned, and the cool avocado added a perfect bite. The highlight? Grabbing the orange sauce and avocado salsa from the fridge--an unbeatable combo that elevated the whole experience. Carne Asada Cali Burrito My girlfriend had the carne asada Cali burrito, and it was equally impressive. You just can't go wrong with a classic carne asada burrito done right. Chips and Salsa The chips were perfectly crisp and light, paired with a salsa that had a fresh, vibrant flavor. Whether house-made or sourced, the quality was undeniable, adding the perfect crunch to complement our meal. The place is somewhat nice but needs a bit of updating but that doesn't matter to much for me as long as it serves me food like this all the time. We're already planning our next visit to try the super burrito with rice and a shrimp burrito. This place is definitely on our list of regular spots now!

First time I stopped by for a very quick lunch, and seeing the restaurant before walking in felt so welcoming with the outdoor available patio seating and met with the indoor bright displays and decorations. I ordered two street tacos and one fish taco. I cannot wait to come back and try more of the fish taco options and the rest of the menu. The overall environment and service made me feel like I am a local and like I have been here before many times already. Thank you! read more

Got two tacos one salmon and one shrimp - both delicious. My husband got the special which was two tilapia tacos. The only good fish taco I've found nearby! Green sauce has a bit of kick to it red sauce is also good but not spicy. I like that they keep their sauces in the fridge. read more
I ordered two fish tacos. This is the first place I've gone to that has options for the fish tacos (tilapia, salmon, red snapper, breaded tilapia or shrimp). I ordered one taco with breaded tilapia and one taco with salmon. For those with dairy allergies or lactose intolerance, the orange sauce does contain crema. The other sauces did not contain dairy. The chips and salsa were only $2 and came with a spicy salsa (not pico de gallo). I was able to order a small side of pico de gallo for about $1!! read more

Service was fast and friendly and prices were real reasonable. I got the cheese enchilada plate. I didn't love the enchiladas though. The sauce was way too tomato-y (and I usually love red sauce too but just tasted like tomato sauce), and they were lukewarm (I generally don't ask for things to be reheated since experiences has been they just microwave them lol). The cheese sprinkled on top wasn't even melted. The beans were pretty good, could have used more cheese. The rice was fluffy, not super flavorful but okay. Chips were just okay as well, tasted a bit dry. Salsa was pretty good. Believe they were $1.99 (not free here FYI). read more

Came here on a whim after a hike. It's a quaint restaurant that reminds me of a diner that truckers would visit as a pitstop- very vintage. Both the indoor and outdoor seating options are small and limited, and their bathrooms are single-occupancy rooms that are attached to the side of the building and require a key (with a ruler? attached to it). I shared two taco fish tacos (Red Snapper, Breaded Halibut) and a California burrito with my boyfriend. The fish tacos were ok, they mainly comprised of the shredded lettuce, and the taco shells ended up soggy. Remedies to this are adding more fish to the tacos and heating the taco shells on a pan or something. The California burrito was good though on the small side. They have three different sauces kept in the fridge which are good, and I recommend the orange sauce. read more

Ordered carna asda nachos, and Mexican Coke. Nachos were fully loaded, guac, sour cream, black olives, pickled jalapeños, refried beans, pico.. great flavor .... But who doesn't melt the cheese? Place is clean, counter service, and all that, but come on they are nachos... melt the cheese. They have 4 house made salsas, or so it seemed. They are in squeeze bottles in a cooler. I would say fire roasted, verde, roja and orange. Nothing is overly spicy, green stands out for flavor profile, others kinda taste the same. The place is known for fish so my bad on the non fish order.. maybe next time shrimp.. not so bad won't try it again, but not the nachos. read more
I had driven past this place so many times and wanted to give it a try for their fish tacos. I ordered a 2 fish tacos meal with breaded halibut to go. The man at the counter was really nice and we received our to go order in about ten minutes. He gave us some extra sauces too. When I got home and opened my meal, I was shocked. The fish in my taco was a tiny thin hard piece of so called halibut. I ate it and it was super crunchy and all batter. I honestly didn't even get any fish was eating fried batter, tortilla, and cabbage. It was such a disappointment and a complete waste of money. The whole thing even gave me a stomach ache. My husbands fish burrito had the same issue and he was really dissatisfied. This establishment shouldn't be giving their customers this- it's so terrible. I really hope they fix this issue. I certainly won't be eating here ever again. read more

Of the many taquerias around, Orale Baja is hands down the most successful: they have fresh ingredients, friendly staff, perfect amount of menu items, and delicious dishes, topped with a variety of salsas! I've been here plenty and I'm never dissatisfied. The nachos and meat burrito are my favorites! I tried the taco salad today, and it was very filling. The one thing about this dish is that it has romaine lettuce so the salad mixture can become a bit watery. Other than that the taco shell is perfectly delicious. What's not to love! read more

This is our go-to Mexican place in the SJ area. The service is always great, the salsas are tasty. The place is cozy and they have a nice outdoor patio. I love their taco salad and my spouse usually gets the nachos. We bring everyone here, plus supporting local businesses that are family owned is a plus :) read more

Delicious. We were just in the neighborhood on a Sat afternoon and found this nice taqueria for lunch. Nice vibes with outdoor seating, cozy indoor seating where a dad was playing chess with his daughter in one of the booths. Service was very friendly. The food was great too! I had the salmon burrito. Love that you have like 4 choices of fish including red snapper, salmon, halibut, and can't remember. All the burritos come with grilled peppers and onions. Yes! How it's done! Also had the salmon taco and shrimp taco which were deemed delicious! We'll definitely be back when in the area. read more

Yes, I believe when I asked beans, rice and tortillas are all lard free. Unfortunately, the orange sauce is not vegan. :(
