Came here recently, the food and service were great. We would definitely come back. Only issue was the drink menu. We ordered 2 margaritas however there was no price listed? Figured it should be maybe $8-10 for house margaritas but I think we were charged $15 each? Not sure because the total did not have the individual prices. To the owner can you please list the prices for them on the menu? They were good but to be honest to ask for the price for an unlisted drink price is tacky in front of other people. I was desperately craving enchiladas and didn't want to battle commuter traffic, so I opted for Casa Lupe since it was nearby. I came here once, probably 15 years ago, so thought it was about time to give them another try. I didn't love it when I had it in the past, but they have a pretty big following so I thought it might've just been the item I got. I called ahead and placed my order to go, arrived about 10 minutes later and had to wait about two minutes for my food. The service was extremely warm and friendly from everyone I interacted with. This made me super optimistic and hopeful that I would love the food. Sadly, that was not the case. On a positive note, the portion of the enchilada meal was quite large, and they did include chips and salsa with my to go order. On a not so positive note, the food was kind of cold. I started eating it within 7-8 minutes of being handed the meal, so I was expecting it to be piping hot, but that was just not the case. Didn't like the flavor of the salsa, and the chicken in one of the enchiladas was pretty dry. Luckily the second enchilada I ate was better, that chicken was nice and tender, but very inconsistent between the two. With so much great Mexican food in the area, I don't think I will be coming back here, and if I do, it'll probably be in another 15+ years. read more

My clients had the deluxe burrito and the other had the taco, enchilada combo. Everyone loved their food! The service has always been spot on at this place. Always happy and smiling and very attentive! The ambiance is very comfortable! Sitting here eating delicious food and having wonderful drink would be a great way to pass the day! Hey there Party People Been looking for a good old fashion traditional Mexican place and I have finally found it. It's a great local joint that has a nice touch of traditional decor. I am a bit of a Spanish rice snob but I have to say this place gets a 9 out of 10 from me and that's high praise. I had the steak fajitas and the meat was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The marinade was very slightly sweet with a tang of vinegar that was really great. My Hubby did a combo plate consisting of a Chicken Taco, chicken Tostada and a carnitas Burrito. He really loved the carnitas the verde sauce was on point. His only negative was that the Chicken was slightly under seasoned. The portions were large and the chips and Salsa was FREE. Came on a tuesday night for dinner, the place doesn't have a lot of parking and the spots were all taken. The neighborhood nearby is resident parking only, so you need to find a spot on the street. The place was packed, and I feel like they were really understaffed, service was very slow, but they were all friendly and doing their best. We got chips and (very spicy) salsa as soon as we sat down. I had the chicken enchiladas suizas which was pretty bland. The plate itself was super hot, I touched it to adjust it and I nearly burnt myself. This food was BEYOND delicious. I came here a while back with my sister and my dad and we all loved everything we ate. I got the chicken enchiladas verde which were probably some of the best enchiladas I've ever eaten. My dad got the same ones but with beef, which weren't as good as the chicken but still really tasty. My sister got the taquitos which were amazing as well. The ambiance of the restaurant was gorgeous and the decor was beautiful. The service was fantastic as well, food came super quick and the servers were extremely friendly and welcoming! 10/10 recommend, I will definitely be coming back. read more

I wish I could give this place a good review but I can't. Our last to go order from here, when we got home I found I had a long curly hair in my food. When I found this we immediately called the restaurant to inform them. Al said he would take care of us our next visit. We were hesitant to go again given the unsanitary practice we experienced prior, but we did. We ordered 3 dinners in fact. Two dinners with a price of $20.95 a piece and one dinner with a price of $20.75. Al said he would comp one meal. That would bring us to a total of 41.90 for two dinners. With tax that brings us to about what, $45? How did we end up with a total of $70? We did not feel like arguing further, so we just paid it. But this is very concerning. It makes me wonder how many folks are being secretly up charged like this and taken advantage of when they are being told they will be taken care of. And this is supposed to be a family run/owned business? We will be informing the businesses we work with as well to not return here on their weekly visits so they do not also get scammed and treated poorly. read more

Service was slow, came to take our drink order but didn't take our food order. Chips were stale and hard. Food came out quickly but was overly salty. The beef enchiladas were hamburger meat? Who does that? Restaurant is loud, hard to hear across the table from each other. This place used to be good, but its been getting worse every time we go back and I think this was the last time we can stomach it. Also the parking sucks. I had a great experience here with my friends on Friday night. We were craving enchiladas and wanted to find a small, authentic Mexican restaurant. Once we entered, we right away were happy with our decision to come here. The authentic decor and the ambiance was exactly what we needed and felt very familial and homey. The waiter was really nice as he brought chips and salsa and even guacamole upon arrival. Due to their ignorance and lack of attention, she became extremely sick and has all the symptoms of cross contamination and gluten exposure. Stopped by on a rainy Tuesday night and the food was delicious! It wasn't too crowded and there were couples, families, and folks of all ages present. The decor above the tables, bar seating, and booths provides a cozy, authentic, and clean atmosphere. The service is attentive and kind, the salsas are delicious (one spicy, one smokey), and the portions are hefty. It's a family run establishment and folks make you feel like you're a regular even when you're not! I had #20: tacos with Mexican steak and swapped the pinto beans for refried beans. The guac portion was god-tier and the texture of the tortillas was ideal. The food was piping hot and the rice was some of the best Mexican rice I've had in the area. While they have a full bar and plenty of options for lunch and dinner -- as other reviewers have shared, the prices are quite steep -- buy I'd still say it's 4+ stars. read more

This was drawn first for my partner, and I's random restaurant Tuesdays in 2024. I was initially quite excited, because I saw that the parking lot was entirely full and to me that indicates a sign of a good quality restaurant that's well liked by the locals. The excitement continued as we entered the restaurant, as the bright and vibrant interior really set the scene to make me feel like I was going to enjoy my experience. I ordered the three enchiladas plate, when my food arrived the plate was so hot. I actually burned my pinky on the plate. This is definitely my fault as the waiter said the plate was hot, but I can't remember the last time I had a plate that was so hot when I Got it. The food was enjoyable but unfortunately it took a while for us to get our check because I think they were understaffed so I don't blame our particular server. I have been to this resataurant 3 times and each time it gets worse. I am done going there. Their margaritas are premade, I asked our server what the difference between the normal margaritas and the cadilac was and he said they just add some more tequilla. Not acceptable. Also the chips were stail and our food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. How can you make fresh food in that short of time. Lousy food and it seems management agrees with the quality of food. Nothing seemed fresh, they are more worried about getting you off your table quickly than giving you a quality meal. Dont go there. read more

I have eaten here twice. Food is underwhelming. Nothing to write home about. I wouldn't say the flavors are bad but anyone could cook any of the items we ordered. Not sure why people like this place. Speaking of people, there is not enough parking in the restaurant lot and I've seen customers park on the next street over blocking driveways, then walk over into the restaurant. Nothing about their food is authentic. It is extremely salty and flavorless. I've tried their tamales, beans, rice and other plates because my family had catered from there and it was horrible. Rice and beans are very important in a Mexican restaurant and I thought these were really good. They have odd opening closing times so make sure you come when they are open. I thought that the taco salad was kinda eh. The wait was really long and I was the only person here. They are revamping the shopping center while the outside was nice the inside is dated. We were in the area visiting family at El Camino hospital and decided to stop by for an early dinner. The restaurant is large (expanded from its original space) and was packed and lively at 5:30 but we got seated right away. We haven't eaten here in over 20 years but we're so glad we came! Our waiter was my husband's former high school student/basketball player and the last time we came was when his parents hosted the team's end of the season banquet. What a special reunion! The chips were fresh and the mild salsa was perfect for my taste. The spicier one was a bit too hot for me. We ordered a salad which was a good size and shared the chicken fajitas. There was plenty for the both of us. It came with lots of veggies too which I enjoyed. I have a sweet tooth and the buñuelos with ice cream is my new favorite dessert! I can't believe I haven't reviewed This place before today, I honestly thought that I have... but I digress. Anyway we came here for a get together. We had 14 of us and were told that try for not take reservations, we showed up around 5:45 pm. The small parking lot was full but fortunately there is lots of street parking down a quiet street. They also were able accommodate all 14 of us immediately. The service came fast and as far as I know got all our orders right. One thing that I thought was truly amazing was how they were able to serve all of us at the same time!! Just outstanding. I ordered a carnitas chimichanga It came with rice and beans on the side and. Sour cream and guacamole on top. The pork looked like steak and was very moist! Overall it was a good experience. The only negative was that I wish the chips were warm and that they would give us more salsa when we ran out. Definitely recommend them and oh yes I'll be back again. read more
