I really wish you guys would stop using AI generated photos. The matcha is grassy and the addition of jasmine matcha ice cream made the matcha enjoyable. It was a bit hard to mix the ice cream with the drink as the cup was filled up with ice. While it was admittedly good I'm not sure if I'll go out of my way to come here again.
Wow! The gelato here is awesome. I tried several flavors, but my favorites were the ube coconut and pistachio. Both tasted fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor. We also tried the parfait. At almost $15, it's definitely a little pricey, but it was loaded with interesting ingredients and was really fun and whimsical. I'm not a matcha fan, so next time we'll ask if they can substitute another gelato flavor for the matcha. Everything else in the parfait was delicious. The ube coconut gelato was so good that now I want to try making my own at home. Definitely a place I'd come back to!
I honestly wasn't the hugest fan of the matcha drinks, but the desserts were pretty good! For matcha we had the fresh strawberry matcha latte & the milky mochi isuzu matcha latte. The matcha flavor is strong, but the flavor itself tasted a bit off. It tasted similar to the naoki brand matcha from amazon. I did enjoy the mochi aspect of the milky mochi isuzu match though. My favorite dessert that I tried was the half jasmine matcha half fragrant rice. Such a good flavor combo and both were extremely fragrant. The mango sticky rice sundae was perfectly not too sweet. I liked the inside of the viral mango crunch mousse but not a fan of the white chocolate exterior. Service is bare minimum. They let you sample ice cream which is nice. Few seats inside, all very clean. Overall: 3.8/5
Matcha Mori is located in a somewhat busy plaza; there's a moderate amount of parking available, and I didn't have trouble finding a spot. There is a limited amount of seating and very few outlets for charging, but there is free WiFi and the atmosphere is calm and comfortable. The service was very friendly. My drink came out quickly, and my questions were all answered with good accuracy. The menu focuses on gelato and matcha drinks, and the options are limited but not destitutely so. It was easy to find several appealing items, and I'm sure the same would be true for most. I enjoyed my drink--I do think this spot falls into that larger sphere of aesthetically-focused, slightly overpriced matcha spots that have really exploded in population lately. The drinks were pretty good, but not outstanding, which, for $9-$10 after tax is kind of hard to stomach. Even if the matcha was outstanding, I would have a hard time justifying the price. Overall, I do find this place pleasant, and may return in the future if I am in the area. I don't think I would go out of my way to visit, though.
Been here twice in 1 week since I seen they had a mango sticky rice products such as the cup one and a smoothie I enjoyed the one in the cup better. Also I always just get their coconut water because it's refreshing! You order on their kiosk. Lots of space to sit as well. Also forgot I tried the Ube ice cream and it was good as well! Lots of things on the menu to choose from!
We ordered via kiosk and got the pistachio matcha and a gelato cup with the matcha 3 and Sicilian pistachio. The matcha drink was nice and creamy, with a hint of earthiness. The pistachio cream was a nice addition and didn't taste superficial. It was almost hazelnutty. The gelato was lovely. Both the matcha 3 and pistachio felt well done. They had good mouth feel but didn't feel heavy. In saying that, the shop itself was alright. Some rows of seating. All full of course. The live music right outside was a nice welcome. I didn't interact much with employees outside of accepting my drink but people seemed friendly enough. I will say though, $10 for a pistachio matcha with oat milk felt a lil silly to me. The drink, while good, didn't particularly stand out much when compared to a drink I could make at home for closer to $6.
Writing this review based off of the GELATO only. I plan to come back to try a matcha latte some time but after reading other reviews, it seems like the matcha lattes were more underwhelming. Gelato was fantastic though! // Mango passionfruit My favorite flavor for the brightness! It had a muted tartness (not sour) which balanced very well with the fruity, freshness of the mango and passionfruit. Very creamy and smooth texture. Highly recommend. // Jasmine matcha Good floral flavor with the matcha. If you prefer a stronger matcha, I'd likely go with the Matcha No. 3 gelato. Not overly sweet and also very creamy and aromatic. Jasmine notes were not too strong. I will say Matcha Mori was a bit on pricier end. A 2-scoop cup was a little over $8 after tax. Scoops were quite small and more snack-size. I did really enjoy the gelato but I'll need to review the lattes next. Overall, cute modern cafe vibes but perhaps on pricier side for what you get. 4 stars if considering price. 5 stars for gelato flavor/texture.
Come stop by this cute little Matcha shop, right off the El Camino. Delicious verity's, and options, was served fast and friendly. Ethan was a great help quick with drinks and very friendly. Definitely recommend stopping by for a quick gelato or delicious matcha!!!
Really enjoyed the matcha here! They have really unique flavors and takes on their drinks. I got the creme brulee matcha, strawberry matcha, and their regular matcha latte and everything tasted fantastic. I also highly recommend their gelatos as well!
Matcha is definitely strong in the drinks here! Unfortunately, I wasn't the biggest fan of the flavor of whatever matcha they use (there is a hint of something too herbal maybe??). I got the Matcha Foam Coconut Cloud and really enjoyed it. The matcha cloud was the perfect sweetness paired with the refreshing coconut water, which was great because you can't adjust the sweetness level on this drink. I appreciated them filling my drink in my personal cup. I tried my friends' drinks--Milki Matcha, Salted Cheese Matcha, & Double Double Matcha; I enjoyed mine the best. All drinks had a very prominent matcha flavor, which was most important to me (: The extremely loud EDM playing was honestly a huge bummer and contributed to a very overstimulating environment in the already crowded and small shop.
Overpriced basic matcha I've been wanting to try this place and was finally in the area. Parking was easy and plenty as it's in a plaza and the interior is bright and clean. Service is ok - minimal interaction with the employees since you order at the 2 kiosks. I asked for the bathroom code and they didn't say anything, but just pointed at a note. As for the drinks, the matcha is pre batched and pricey. $1 extra for oat milk (they use regular oatly, not barista edition if that matters to you). The drinks ARE good, but I don't think $10 for it is worth it

Dubai chewy cookie is honestly one of my favorites it's not overly sweet and it has a lot of kataifi. I love how they don't cheap out on it. I ordered a matcha latte, and it was excellent. The matcha had a vibrant color, smooth texture, and a rich, earthy flavor with just the right amount of natural bitterness. It was well-balanced, allowing the quality of the tea to shine without being drowned out by sweetness. The café has a calm, minimalist atmosphere that's perfect for slowing down and enjoying your drink. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions about the different matcha options.

When I first tried this place, the drinks were pretty, but some were a hit or miss... the matcha strawberry was good though! I visited again and they have new products (sandwiches and new cakes), would go back to try next time as they looked soo good! 2 kiosks to order from when you walk in. There is seating avail inside and outside. Plenty of parking available. Drinks were made quickly. read more
Mango sticky rice sundae- this caught my eye from an IG reel and it was 20% off so had to try it. I was a little disappointed. Mango was just ok. Sticky rice was a bit hard and the mangoes seemed liked canned mango in syrup. I'd pass on this in the future. Unfortunately, they don't give gelato samples. Consistency was not as dense as I would like. Matcha #3- flavor was good, wouldn't mind getting it again Jasmine Matcha- flavor was good, wouldn't mind getting it again Coconut Moon Ube- I couldn't really taste the ube, it was more coconut, so this was a bit disappointing for me. 15$ for each mousse cake smaller than the size of a palm and it looks nothing like the advertised poster. I added a cut from the same poster next to the mousse for better visualization. Mango mousse filling is just jam and four small pieces of mango with no cake in sight. Raspberry mousse cake - also no cake and taste tangy more of a sour raspberry Brown sugar matcha latte- didn't stand out - tapioca was okay but matcha was not strong Would not come again read more

3.5/5 stars overall I went for the grand opening to try their Gelato at 50% off. My family got the dubai chocolate cone with pistachio Gelato and a mochi chocolate covering around it, topped with kataifi (regularly $14!). This was interesting to and definitely had all the components of dubai chocolate, but I don't think I would pay full price for it. I got a large cup ($8) of 3 flavors with matcha, yuzu, and citrus ricotta. I felt like the Gelato wasn't as creamy as I expected, compared to over shops in the area. The flavors were unique, but not my overall favorite. I wish they had black sesame. We also tried the jasmine matcha and mango passion fruit flavors. I probably will not return unless I'm in the area and other friends want to go. The ambiance was nice and calming. I liked their decor and their chairs were comfy to sit at. They had a decent number of tables and wifi. Service: uses the ordering tablets and then wait for the order to be ready. We placed our order immediately and then waited a while for the ice cream. read more
I don't know why this place gets some hate. I felt it was solid! Visited for their gelato. It was prepared very quickly and staff were helpful. Inside you have a couple touch kiosks and a register. Feels like a boba store. They had more tables than I expected tbh. I got thai salted cheese, ricotta citrus, and jasmine matcha. Jasmine matcha: pretty good but not exactly standout. Solid flavor for sure. Thai salted cheese: I couldn't really taste the salted cheese only the thai tea. Citrus ricotta: Absolutely my favorite. They had whole kumquat bits! Came for the matcha, stayed for that ricotta citrus gelato. Would recommend a stop. read more
Update: I came back to try their matcha latte. It was meh. I'd stick with their gelato (not the matcha flavor though). -- I liked their flavor options for the gelato. They have some pretty unique flavor combos that I haven't seen elsewhere. I went with their large and chose 3 flavors - matcha #3, rice milk, and yuzu sorbet. The yuzu sorbet would be my favorite. Rice milk was the perfect balance to bridge the other two flavors (sweet-bitter and sweet-sour). Consistency wise, it was good. It's not very stretchy, and it's more on the creamy side. I wouldn't call this place amazing for their gelato, but I do recommend coming here to try out the unique flavors! I also took some bites of my husband's Thai tea + citrus ricotta + jasmine matcha. I actually enjoyed the citrus ricotta one the most. read more

Yay aesthetics! =/ Matcha Mori has their aesthetics and vibes down solid. It's chic, boutique-y, and the layered matcha lattes are IG pretty. Sadly, how they taste is another story... Soft opening this week, Matcha Mori has the same concept as Matsu Matcha (Santa Clara) and Matcha Town (Cupertino/E San Jo) serving matcha lattes & housemade gelatos. Oat milk available for +$1. Staff will offer a free plushie in exchange for a 5 star review. D R I N K S Matcha is hand-whisked to order. * Strawberry Matcha Latte ($8.99) - Request 50% sweet * Mango Matcha Latte ($8.99) - Request 30% sweet Style over substance, the matcha latte was visually appealing with layers of chunky strawberry/mango purée, a foam top, and dried fruit garnish. But, beyond the aesthetics, it faceplanted....the matcha flavor was nonexistent, not even a hint of earthiness. Similar to the way that white dragon fruit tastes like...nothing. Super disappointing for the price point. G E L A T O * 1/2 Rice Milk, 1/2 Strawberry Yogurt (Regular-$7.59) The rice milk gelato had the proper dense, stretchy consistency and legit tasted like rice milk...mild, clean flavor with a subtle sweetness. The strawberry yogurt was ice cream-like in texture, ran more sweet than tart. S E R V I C E Contactless ordering via kiosk. With no line, our order took about 10 minutes. A M B I A N C E Modern chic with five tables inside, two outside, and EDM covers bumping. Overall, loved the playlist and shaded outdoor seating. $7.50 for two flavors of gelato in a cup: 5/5: pistachio: respectable. A little too sweet, but great strength and flavor. Tan colored. 4/5: Rice gelato; Very pleasant; subtle bits of rice for interest. No flavor added. A bit over-stabilized. Definitely worth trying once. read more
Love this Place! With so many matcha places in the Bay Area this one stands out more to me! I love that they have fresh gelato ice cream be made and churned all day! You can also sample them. There are also many matcha drinks to try, I love that they also have combos that make the price cheaper! I came here and tried the some pastries for my wife's birthday! I didn't say anything to the staff but we sat down and brought our own candles and sang happy birthday! The staff noticed that we were celebrating and singing on our own and they decided to change the music in the store to a happy birthday song! Then they came by and gave some plush toy as gifts! And the staff came and talked to us to see how we were doing and wished my wife happy birthday! So amazing, made our day!!! Such an amazing staff! read more
Came on a weekend right when they opened at 11:30. This place gets really busy right at the dot, which makes sense since they just opened recently two weeks ago (5/20/2026). The interior is nice, clean, and well lit. We got their strawberry and mango matcha lattes. Both were really good, not too sweet since they use fresh puree and chunks at the bottom instead of syrup. read more
After seeing the reviews, I was hoping the people were wrong, but they were right. This place has a lovely ambiance but the matcha was just not right. The place was very clean with lovely topiary on the walls. It looks crowded outside but people are really just waiting for their order. The service was very quick. I wanted to treat myself to ice cream. I tried the matcha 3 and fragrant rice milk. It could be a preference thing, but the fragrant rice milk was too strong for me. It tasted like paste and I did not like it at all. The matcha was not smooth. I would have preferred Izumi Matcha over this. Sadly, I will have to skip out on this one. Wow I'm impressed with this new matcha place next to the old Sprouts in Mountain View! I got the affogato (espresso over ice cream) and it was delicious! The matcha parfee was cute with a panda on it. The egg sandwich was also really good reminded me of when I was in Japan! I would come back as it's in a good location with lots of parking. There was also some nice live music outside when I went this week. read more
We have a new matcha spot in town! Matcha Mori definitely did NOT disappoint us during our first visit today! This is another one of those matcha/boba shops where you typically don't interact with the baristas and place your order on a kiosk. Then your order number will show on the screen once it's ready and you pick it up at the counter. The vibe inside is very cute! I love the cutesy cafe aesthetic they have going on. Now onto the drinks!! Strawberry Matcha Latte - 8.5/10 - I usually don't like creamy tops with my strawberry matcha, but this place makes me want to have it more often! The cream top reminded me of strawberry milk, and the matcha is strong!!! I was low-key cracked out for the rest of the day lol. Double Matcha Latte - 8/10 - My partner got this drink. She really liked the cream as well, and the matcha was strong and not too sweet - just how she likes it. We will be coming back :) read more
Ordered the Milky Mochi Isuzu Matcha Latte at 30% sweetness and was surprised that it still leaned fairly sweet - likely from the cold foam. That said, the matcha paired well with the chewy texture of the mochi, which was easily the standout component for me. Great service and ambiance! read more

Came on a weekday and there was no line. Drink was made within a few minutes. Tried the matcha pistachio and strawberry matcha. I like that the extra cream top doesn't overpower the matcha flavor. I got 50% sweetness so it was nice strong and earthy. Also for the Dubai chocolate cookie. It was nice chewy. Not overly sweet. read more
This place is new and it's beautiful inside. I do enjoy the decor and aesthetics as it gives a cute cafe style atmosphere where you can lounge around with friends. The service was pretty simple. You actually order from a kiosk and your order will be called out. My friend and I got a matcha drink. We recommend at least 75% as it is strong matcha. We go a scoop of ice cream. Ube flavor and matcha. I loved everything about this place and I love matcha. I will definitely be back for more! read more

I enjoyed the live music they had outside! The shop is cute and there's good amount of seats. Ordered on a kiosk, so there was little to no interaction with service. We ordered a matcha coconut cloud (3/5) and fresh strawberry matcha latte (5/5)! We didn't find the coconut cloud too special, but it was refreshing! Loved the fresh strawberry taste for the latter. Would love to come back and try the gelato or the mango sticky rice drink :) read more

Don't let the negative reviews scare you away. After coming back multiple times, I feel like I can finally give a fair review. I first came during grand opening and the matcha was amazing. Fresh, nicely whisked, and they use Oatly, which is a huge plus. I noticed a dip in quality toward the end of July. The matcha wasn't as smooth or nicely whisked, but I came back in August to make sure it wasn't just one drink and the quality was back to normal. Probably just a temporary consistency issue. One of my favorite things about Matcha Mori is that the menu is CONSTANTLY changing. Every time I come back there's something new: viral cakes, sandwiches, affogato, drinks, gelato, etc. I always see these things online and wonder if they're actually worth the hype, so I love being able to try them here. Mango Mousse Cake 10/10 Actually lives up to the hype. Refreshing, crunchy, and not overly sweet. Some mousse cakes are so rich I can't finish them, but this one was light enough to easily finish. The mango exterior is also super vibrant and realistic. Dubai Chewy Cookie Ice Cream 9/10 EAT IT FRESH. The first time, the marshmallow exterior was super soft and stretchy. The second time I let it sit too long and it hardened, so I understand some of the reviews. It's pricey, but the cone and scoop are HUGE. Their gelato portions are noticeably larger than Matsu Matcha and Matcha Town. Egg Sando 10/10 Lives up to the hype. Creamy, perfectly salty, and the bread is incredibly soft. Purple Rice Pork Floss Mochi Sandwich 9.2/10 I wanted to dislike this because it sounded so weird but it was REALLY good. Huge, filling, chewy, and the savory pork floss works surprisingly well with the purple rice and mochi. Salted Cheese Coffee Latte 10/10 Their coffee is seriously underrated. Super aromatic and the foam is the best part. I'm not a coffee expert, but personally I enjoyed the beans and aroma more than Starbucks, Philz, Peet's and several local coffee shops I've tried. Mango Sticky Rice Smoothie 10/10 One of the BEST things here. They fill it to the brim. Chewy sticky rice + refreshing mango slush + coconut milk is such a good combination. I drank the entire thing to the bottom. Fresh Mango Matcha Latte 9.8/10 Classic, refreshing and solid. You can still taste the matcha without the mango overpowering it. Classic Matcha Latte When made correctly, it's REALLY good. Sweet, grassy, umami and strong. One time mine was bitter and less smooth, but I tried it again later and it was great. Their biggest issue is probably consistency. Isuzu Milky Mochi Matcha 2.5/10 The one thing I wouldn't recommend, even though all my friends order it The mochi is difficult to sip and comes through in huge chunks. It also makes the matcha taste more bitter to me. PLEASE don't get this with 0% sugar. Bland, overly grassy, bitter, and the mochi can look... questionable Another huge plus is how inclusive the menu is. Vegan-friendly options, dairy alternatives, kid-friendly gelato and non-caffeinated drinks. Great for lactose-intolerant friends or people who don't like matcha. The gelato is also impressive and they sometimes give out samples. Random observation: the baristas are all weirdly handsome/beautiful?? And they're genuinely nice. The café itself is gorgeous with indoor/outdoor seating, upbeat music and sometimes live jazz. The most recent time I came they had live music, discounted mousse cakes AND gave away free gelato cake slices. Even the bathroom is weirdly pretty LOL. Gorgeous lighting and surprisingly spacious. They also do a LOT of promotions. I've seen free gelato, cake slices, samples and even free drinks. It feels like there's something new happening almost every week. Overall, 4 out of 5 times I've visited have been genuinely good experiences. Some items are definitely better than others and consistency could improve, but the things they do well are REALLY good. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my overall experience. The prices felt really high for what you get, and the customer service wasn't great. The dubai ice cream I tried wasn't anything special, especially for the price way tooo sweet. I will say the affogato was actually really good and definitely the highlight of the visit. I just wish the overall quality and service matched the prices. read more
Not sure why this place is rated so low - the matcha is incredible, really strong, and so creamy! Even during the holiday weekend, my friend and I were able to order and receive our matcha within a reasonable amount of time and get a table without any wait. We both got strawberry matcha lattes, and we really liked the strawberry bits and foam top. This place checked all the boxes. read more
