This café has a casual look as if you're in a University dorm common room with students sprawled on seats/sofa with their laptops open. It was hot (!) in MV so I tried an iced strawberry matcha which was advertised on a flyer posted by the cashier. The matcha was strong tasting and beautifully green. The strawberry turned out to be strawberry milk(?) or strawberry syrup in the oat milk. In any case, I found this to be Not pleasant and artificial. At $8+ (which included tax), the drink was a big disappointment.
Amazingly good coffee at this small place. I love finding these type of smaller independent coffee shops....I do believe they have another location as well... They source their beans from roasters....and the gal who helped me in the front I asked for a couple of recommendations for pour over drip....and the one she chose was way better than I expected! There is some seating in there and enough space outside as well to just relax and chill...I sat at the community table and enjoyed the coffee....I even had to go back the next day but I got a latte the next day.... I would definitely come back here if passing by or staying in Mountain View again...they do close quite early (5PM)....so I had to get a cup from Peets nearby and I told the guy I've been going there...and he even said Oh Yeah there coffee is good! Confirmed from another Barista!!!

Visiting my son at Mountain View and stumbled onto this place. Feels like a ma and pa coffee shop, pretty busy on a sunny Saturday afternoon. A lot of locals hang out with their laptops, reading, a very chill vibe. The servers are so sweet and bubbly. I got my oat milk latte and the hummus bread recommended by the staff. The coffee was immaculately made, with lovely bubbles and perfect, painstakingly created coffee art. Wow. The toast was a chunky soft wheat bread, orange humus, tomato, basil leaves, balsamic vinegar, and a surprise touch of hot sauce, filling and delicious. Wonderful experience!
I'm really sad to give this place 2 stars because I've been here many times before and genuinely loved it. Unfortunately, the last two visits left us feeling unwell. The first time, I assumed it was something unrelated since my husband didn't get sick; but he had a non-iced drink. When we returned and both ordered iced drinks, we both felt sick again afterward. I can't say for sure what the cause was, but the pattern made me wonder if there might be an issue with the ice or ice machine; or maybe someone was ill who was handling the food. I'm sharing this in hopes it's helpful and gets looked into, because I truly used to enjoy coming here and would love to feel comfortable returning.
Sorry to say, Hojicha latte have been misses lately, it just tastes watered down. There is a better coffee place in Santa Clara to learn the taste from.
I stopped in on a Wednesday morning around 7:30 and walked right up to order at this cute little shop. Decor wasn't anything fancy but still inviting. The staff were warm and quick! I really enjoyed my coffee. I ordered one of the seasonal drinks, Kauai, and really enjoyed it. High quality flavors.
Stopped by 1 Oz Coffee for some much needed caffeine. Placed an order for the Mini Latte Flight which included: Classic Latte, Lavender [seasonal flavor], Ube, & Matcha. I added my request to have the flight made with oat milk. The line was long and the coffeehouse was a lot smaller than expected. Seating inside was filled up by the time we arrived but there were plenty of tables outdoor. Don't be deterred when you see the long lines, staff works really well at moving things along. Be sure to assist in that by having your order already decided by the time you make it to the registers. Coffee was great. Flavors weren't artificial and overly strong in masking the caffeine aspect. Presentation was great and each mini latte contained some coffee art! 4 stars.
1oz coffee is worth all its hype!!! What a cute little cafe with adorable plant decor, amazing drinks, friendly staff, and good seating both inside and outside - what is not to like?! The current seasonal drinks are so much fun; my friend got the iced mango matcha, and I got the Kauai when I asked what the sweetest drink option would be. I am not personally a matcha fun but it felt like very good quality and my friend said she loved it - one of the best matchas she's had!! I loved the Kauai with its nice coconut flavor and sweet taste. Drinks came out quickly even though it got a little crowded when we were there (Monday afternoon). The inside seating is really cozy and plenty of space to sit, either for studying or just hanging out. There is also a bathroom conveniently in the building. Highly recommend!!

The baristas made our drinks super yummy, and I appreciated our cashier for being cheerful. Great service If you're looking for a place to study/work, it's pretty nice to come here and work. We left to another cafe shortly after because we were burning up in the sun.
I got their peppermint spice latte winter special and I loved it! The flavor is mild and beautiful and I love how they steam their milk. The art is also so cute!! The place is small but cute and good for studying. I'd definitely comeback for coffee!
Such a cute little coffee spot in Mountain View downtown. Make sure you keep time on hand on weekend mornings. There is a bit of a line and wait for the order. You have limited seating inside but there are few chairs outside shop as well. I tried their seasonal Cardamom rose latte and it was delicious!! Also my kid loved their ducky cake pop! read more

Amazing cafe in Downtown Mountain View! I've been to this location of 1 oz twice and enjoyed my experience both times! The first time I got their Ube Latte which is non-caffeinated and has a hint of coconutty flavor that I really enjoyed. The second time I got their Mango Matcha which was delicious! The mango flavor was very refreshing and paired well with their smooth matcha. I'd recommend both drinks and would love to try more of their menu. Service was amazing both times I went! Their baristas are incredibly friendly and personable. The shop itself is small but there's some nice outdoor seating outside the cafe as well. Overall, great spot to pick up a few drinks or two, and I will be back to try more drinks next time! read more

Perfectly brewed and crafted. The team is very welcoming and nice. Area is a bit small but clean and tables get filled up fast. They do offer dine in cups and dishes. I would come back to try out the Kyoto cold brew since the set up is really cool. Highly recommend. read more

Great find! Nice small coffee place. We tried the Mini Latte Flight (classic, seasonal, ube, and matcha) and loved the variety. Definitely worth a visit if you want to explore different flavors in one sitting. We went at around 4:30pm & the service was fast. read more
I've been to a smaller outdoor popup location of 1 Oz, and thought their lattes maybe weren't super flavorful due to their limited supplies. Unfortunately, this brick and mortar coffee shop location wasn't much different. The lattes me and my girlfriend ordered were decent, but only after we added two packets of sugar to each. They were supposed to be sweet seasonal drinks, but just kind of tasted like unflavored lattes. The cookie was decent, though! read more

Cute art of the pour however, my cappuccio was significantly bitter. Improve the pull of your shots while honoring a classic cappuccino with some foam and this will gain stars. read more

Very crowded coffee shop. When we arrived the line was pretty long but move pretty fast. It has indoor and outdoor seating. It is interesting concept where they will serve one customer, then pepare the order before taking order for the one next in line. We ordered latte, afogato and twice baked almond croissant. Once you order, the order is ready pretty quickly. I like the latte and afogato. The croissant is also good. They have one long high table and I think the chair is too low. Overall it was nice visit. I think they can make interior better. read more
Very cute spot with blue accents everywhere--I love the blue "For Here" mugs. There's a cozy window seat with cushions, and outdoor seating is also available. Since it's on Castro Street, parking can be tricky at times. It's not too busy or loud, making it a good place to meet someone or get a bit of work done. They also have an ube latte, which is my personal favorite and caffeine-free. read more

The cafe is set in the Mountain View city center. It's a small shop with cozy vibes. The coffee is good quality, pricey but worth it. They have baked goods too and fall flavors looked interesting. I got the apple crumble spiced latte and it was like drinking hot apple cider in coffee form, it was perfect for a fall morning. There was a line but the service was fast. read more
came here around 2 pm and it wasn't super busy. ordered a vanilla bean latte and rose cardamom latte and both were great, a little too milky but otherwise as expected. rose cardamom is a flavor they've done really well without making it overwhelmingly one flavor. it's a small spot with a little barstool type seating and a couch, but ample outdoor (shaded and unshaded) spots. read more

We tried both their seasonal offerings: cardamom rose and pistachio orange blossom lattes and they were some of the best lattes we've had. The cardamom rose had a great balance of both flavors without one overpowering the other. The latte itself was deliciously creamy and perfectly sweet. The pistachio orange had tasty floral notes but it was harder to taste the pistachio. This season's flavors are my favorite that 1oz has produced. Price is hefty for a 12oz latte but they offer a small discount if you have your own cup. Every time I come here it is always consistent in quality. read more

Stopped by 1 oz Coffee in MV for a Friday morning coffee run. It's a small shop with limited indoor seating, but the outdoor area is relaxed and nice to hang out in. My wife ordered the latte flight, which was a fun and unique offering. Each drink had its own flavor and all were enjoyable. I had a regular coffee and it was smooth and well balanced. We tried a couple of the twice baked pastries and they had a great crisp texture. The lox and bagel was fine. The workers were friendly and welcoming. Overall, a decent place to start a Friday morning. read more

Once upon a time I was a pour over guy, but these days it's strictly espresso. While I don't get to downtown Mountain View as often as I'd like, it is right between home and work so when I have a little bit of extra time on my hands I make it a point to stop by. 1 oz Coffee or does a great espresso. It's the right temperature, has a nice and full flavor, and the service is on point. Anyone who gets an espresso to go should really consider getting a different beverage. Any place that sells espresso and only has paper cups, should stop selling espresso. The folx at 1 oz understand that and espresso deserves inappropriate vessel. Espresso cups they use familiar shape and a nice color to differentiate them. They place the espresso and a tiny shot of sparkling water on a bamboo tray, which immediately let you know that they know what they're doing. every time I'm in Mountain View I always come here. Every single day. Nobody else makes lattes quite as good as the people who work here. You can tell the coffee is going to be good by the way the workers are so hip. The food items are alright, avocado toast is made with not fresh avocados, there's this type of avocado mush that comes out of a bag so it's actually real avocado, but it's not freshly scooped out of an avocado. That really takes away a lot from it. I do like the toast that they use for the avocado toast, though it's really thick and I would love to know where I could buy it. The veggie bagel sandwich is quite good, it's oozing with pesto and cream cheese, and assorted veggies, perfect way to start your day. The crowd here is your typical Silicon Valley folk. Everyone looks well to do and seems to be in a good mood all the time, like this song, Palo Alto by Radiohead. Cute ambience in here -- a little crowded.. in the mornings I think they could pull down the shade on the big window because every time I sit there, I risk getting severely sunburned.. so don't sit there. unless ur tryna tan lol. Coming from Los Angeles, I think this is probably the best coffee you can get in Mountain View. The latte never fails me. Service is slow sometimes as they're busy, but it's worth the wait. We have two main local suppliers: Vertigo Coffee Roasters and Soul Work. Vertigo’s blend “Monk’s Momentum” is usual for our espresso based drinks. Soul Work’s Ethiopia (natural process) is usually in our cold brew in Mountain View. Single Origin…
Is the chai brewed in house or from a concentrate?
It is premade dry mix of brewed tea, sweetener and spices.
Do they make iced lattes? I went to the santa clara location once and was told they don't make iced espresso drinks.
I do not recall exactly. Drop them a note. They are high quality and classy folks. I am sure they will give you an accurate answer
