    Latte, croissant, espresso

Standard coffee shop experience. It was quite busy on a Monday morning. I think its main perk is its convenient location on Castro Street. The service was standard. I ordered a latte, which had a pretty design and tasted solid. I would not recommend the food - the croissant and waffle were a pretty penny and tasted quite stale. There's a second floor, with lots of tables and a quiet environment. This is definitely a good spot to do work. I've been to more memorable coffee shops, but this was a no-frills spot with good coffee.

Loved the vibe here. Perfect place if you want to sip and work. Loved that they have so much place for people to sit. It is on 2 floors and situated right on the Castro street so if you are bored it is good a nice stroll. The food and the service is really good too

Came here around 1130 AM to meet up with ex co worker before my wifey and I plan to move to manhattan by end of a July It was a fine Sunday morning. Came inside with plenty of spacious standing. The counter lady was extremely nice and patient. I got the iced coffee and it was a 8:10. Can't complain. Good for prices. My wife got an oat milk Latte 10oz - The beans in the espresso is def not at the level of others, therefore we rated it 6/10. Overall though, our centers are pretty high so when I mention the scores here, please round up by two because - Inside Outside Customer service Price Surrounding neighborhood We're all excellence and therefore my ratings were purely on the drinks. And bedding everything together it was a great experience and I would absolutely come back again for a coffee with a friend

There's plenty of choices in downtown Mountain View for coffee. However, Red Rock is a working coffee spot, for laptop toting work folks as it has free good WiFi (you'll get corporate-like speed of around 100+ Mbps down/15Mbps up, no problem, and there's no password, just join). Plenty of tables to setup for work. It does lack power outlets though (only a few tables have them). And yes, the drinks are just okay. The coffees and teas are all on the pricey side, and very so-so. For this visit, I got a Mango Black Iced Tea and could just barely taste the mango if I really imagined hard. Their pour overs however, are the better part of the menu that I've gotten in past visits. I would recommend sticking with pour over drinks. However for a working/hanging with a coworker spot it does this pretty well. Lighting is always nice, with minimal harsh lights through the windows on your laptop's screen, and the crowd is almost always going to be trying to get work done too. Still, not a 5-star due to lack of power outlets and the drinks could have a more solid showing (stick to the pour overs!). If you're trying to work, avoid their events (calendar board is by the door). There's open mic, etc which fill up the shop on those event days. If you find it crowded when you walk in, there's an upstairs too and take a peek if there's a free table. Otherwise, there's always ample seating outside if you're really just at Red Rock for a coffee and not there to work. But really, I would only recommend Red Rock for working. Go elsewhere down the street for better drinks.

Red Rock has such a warm, homey atmosphere--it immediately makes you feel welcome. The people here are super friendly, and the service was great from start to finish. I tried the honey lavender latte, and it was delicious--smooth, flavorful, and not too sweet (which I really appreciated). Perfect balance. The space itself has a cozy vibe, making it a nice spot to relax, catch up with a friend, or just enjoy a quiet moment with your coffee. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area!

Beautiful coffee space. Delicious honey lavender latte. On the corner at downtown Mountain View. Highly recommend. I came in to have a chat with the manager and she was really lovely super hospitable. Everybody did really good service and I felt very welcomed. It's a great place to have coffee and chill out. It's a really nice atmosphere. Lots of seating. Lots of space.

Very iconic and nice coffee place in the heart of Mountain View Downtown! Cappuccino was good, but a little bit too strong for my taste. I really love the vibes here - having an opportunity to get the seat, connect to wi-fi and work a bit or just enjoy the surroundings. Service was smooth and staff was friendly and helpful. Red Rock Coffee place has the second floor with more seats!

Most of the people order the coffee here. I heard their drip coffee were good. I didn't order any coffee, but a mango soda juice. I didn't taste many artificial sweeteners, the drink is not too sweet. It is fit well with the late summer vibe.

Hipster coffee shop in downtown Mountain View! My iced mocha was nutty and chocolatey. The croissant was buttery and flakey. Lots of options for baked goods. The pour over options were coffee beans from Ethiopian and Kenya! Lots of tables and space to hang out or study. Super clean! Service was quick despite the long line. The baristas were friendly too! I'd definitely come back here!

Great cafe to work in, as they have lots of seating since they have an upstairs area. If you get a seat next to a window, it's also fun to people watch. I got a mocha, which was $6.50 for a 10 oz cup. The mocha was alright; a little bit gritty and not my favorite cup of mocha but not terrible. I did find the prices to be quite high, especially given that usually the standard "small" cup size is 12 oz. They do offer free water as well, which is a plus. It seems like they also host some events here, like an open mic on Mondays.

Do they have organic/hormone free milk options?

I don't believe so. The barista seemed confused and offered the usual alternative milk options when I asked about organic milk.

(Underrated luxury.) Now, the hotel itself? Visually... a moment. It looked like someone invested serious money into it, but the design felt a little space-meets-startup-meets-what's-happening-here. Some elements felt elevated, others felt a bit makeshift. I genuinely couldn't tell what the theme was -- futuristic? celestial? boutique-on-a-budget? I'm still processing. The front desk team was clearly well-trained and knowledgeable -- they had every answer, every stat, every rate breakdown ready. But the warmth? Missing. I was hoping for a little storytelling since I'd never heard of the hotel before, and instead got a very matter-of-fact "we've been here five years" energy. Efficient, yes. Inviting, not quite. But let's talk about why you're really here: the coffee shop. Completely different vibe. Two people working, both genuinely happy, welcoming, and quick. We ordered a latte and a matcha to go -- total was about $22, which made me blink for a second -- but then I tasted the matcha. Oh. This wasn't the overly sweet, dusty-green situation you sometimes get. It tasted clean. Real. High-quality. The kind of matcha that feels intentional. I love Firehouse in Marin, but this? This was closer to serious coffee roaster-level quality. Smooth, organic-tasting, beautifully balanced. You could tell they care about what they're serving. Branding was strong, the space was cute, and I could absolutely see myself sitting there with my laptop pretending I'm writing something important. We grabbed ours to go, but it had that easy, airy, "stay awhile" energy. Would I book the hotel? Jury's still out. They don't have an in-house spa and mentioned bringing in third-party services for certain amenities, which made it feel a little less full-service than I expected. Would I go back for the coffee shop? Without hesitation. Delicious drinks, easy parking, quick service, and a vibe that actually makes you want to come back. Sometimes the side character steals the show -- and in this case, it's 100% the matcha.

Because, once again, I was distracted by the quality of the food, and there would be no way for me to do anything else, but to eat! Today, I was in the mood for something more than a salad (much as I wanted to preset what I had the first time coming here, I made a concerted effort to order something else...), thus I chose the Forager Flatbread. It took less time to make this time (roughly about five minutes after ordering), and when it came out, I marveled at how it looked like a work of art! Just beautiful! Each piece of herbed formage blanc flatbread had a nice, crunchy bottom (but not blackened) and a slightly tanginess, with a a good amount of "hen-of-the-wood" mushrooms, sweet roasted garlic and a bed of arugula. My, oh, my! My first bite was a multi-level extravaganza! The crunch of the bread, followed by the aroma of the herbs and arugula, then the saltiness of the cheese, the sweetness of the roasted garlic, the earthiness of the mushrooms - all came together as just a wonderful work of culinary art! This being my first time eating today, my saliva glands just fired off at first bite, causing a bit of intense pain from too much saliva shooting out. But, seriously, this was a very delicious entree, that I enjoyed from start to finish! Bravo for this second joyous experience!
