I came here when they had just opened, and the place was popping. All the indoor seating was taken (Granted, this was during the peak of the heat wave). If you're wearing short shorts or a skirt, beware that the chairs outside are the kind that leave an unfortunate weave print on the back of your thighs. The inside was clean. There was no line, so the cashier very kindly and patiently walked me through all their noncaffeinated options. I thought my lemonade ($2.50) was sour and oversweet, so I ended up drinking a third and throwing away the rest. read more

I love this location of Peet's since it is close to one of my jobs. Best part about it is that I NEVER have to wait in line (I hope I didn't JINX myself now). The line usually starts after I walk in, which is still not too bad! The service has always been welcoming & friendly & I never wait more than 5 min for my drink. The downside is that it is not an actual Peet's site (license by Nob Hill/Raley's) so you can't use your gift cards here. They also make my Freddo how it's supposed to to taste! The location in Sunnyvale inside Specialty's lacked flavor & coffee! I usually get a White Mocha Freddo, but it's still on my list to try their Matcha Latte or Matcha anything. Peets coffee in Nob Hill store, wait a minute, you may expect some run of the mill , i dont care forquality place.....but its definitely the opposite . Great service, great coffee ( you cant mess that up, can you ?) fast service....if you happen to be shopping for some groceries, give yourself a treat on hot summer day or a cool winter night...stop by ,get your caffeine fix and get those groceries...win win ! This Peet's location is located inside Nob Hill Foods. I particularly love this location as few people know about it, unless you happen to be shopping at Nob Hill Foods. Therefore, it is not usually packed. On this particular trip this morning, I had a Javiva and two chocolate croissaints. Wonderful service by the cashier/barista. Nob Hill WIFI is almost unusable it is so slow. Only about 50kbps. Coffee is what you expect for Peets Pastries are much cheaper. Only a $1.70 for a pecan twist. Seating area is quite large. Canned musak like a grocery store. read more

I asked for a little extra foam on top of my latte as the guy was pouring it. The guy added a little and I said that's good. Then he poured out some of my coffee and added more foam. If I wanted a cappuccino I would have ordered one. I wanted a late with a tiny bit more foam... Which he made and then instead of handing it to me when I said that's good he poured it out. The coffee was fine but not as good as the other peets I go to. This is the same place that scolded me for getting the name of their blended coffee beverage wrong... I shouldn't have bothered to stop here again. When a customer says that's good hand them the coffee don't pour it out in front of them. Increases from two to three stars because it's not their fault I woke up at 6 to go to the dentist and haven't had any food. read more

This Peet's Coffee is located inside Nob Hill Foods grocery store. I forget about this Peet's Coffee location but my sister always remembers about it. It's about 2 miles from my home and the next closest one is about 3 miles from my home. I thought I would write a review so you folks in Mountain View, California that love Peets Coffee like I do will know that there is another Peets Coffee in Mountain View inside of Nob Hill Foods. There is also a small lounge area with a couple of tables. Nice little spot. And of course they crank out all the Peets Coffee drinks we like...house coffee, mochas, lattes, hot chocolate and of course they also have a small selection of pastries in the pastry case. read more

Story of my life: I never have time to sit down in a coffee shop and enjoy a beverage. So, this place is perfect! It's never crowded (at least the time of day I go). Ordered the "small" chai tea latte. Note: "small" not "tall"; had to make the switch-over because I'm usually a Starbucks fan. It was 6:30pm on a Monday evening, and aside from a creepy, white man in his 50s/60s, pretty much empty. And this is when I describe the ambiance/environment of the venue. I've noticed a pattern in the type of people I run into, while in Mountain View, in general. Typically white, and in his 50s/60s. with glasses, graying hair. Perverted looking. I don't how the girls here deal with them here. It's not like I was wearing anything skimpy: just a t-shirt, and work-out shorts. Honestly, any help would be nice. Anyway, I will wear "more", the next time I stop by. The latte's not bad; the women behind the counter, made the order for me, within a couple of minutes. I just wish this Peet's was more like other Peets'. I guess the ambiance here isn't like the Peet's at other locations. Probably because they are usually not located inside a Nob Hill. read more

This Peets is conveniently located inside Nob Hill Foods. I really like Peets. The only downside is I feel guilty after every sip due to being an employee of their rival of almost a year. -___-; The employees here are VERY friendly. There is never a line which is great because I am able to make a stop for my morning fix without worrying about being late to work. I give them 4 stars for the freshness and taste of their brewed coffee, the super customer service, and the location (you are able to do some grocery shopping, grab some food for lunch time, AND get coffee? Its a super store!). I would give them 5 stars, but I took one away for the guilt of "betraying" starbucks lol. read more

The lady who was manning the register didn't even allow me to ask a question, cutting me off at "excuse me..." with a response "I'm not helping you right now. I stopped by this Peet's this morning to get coffee. The person making my latte looked very tired and distracted. He first gave me the wrong size. After I told him that I wanted a medium size not a small. He just poured more milk (and possibly more coffee?) and handed it to me again. I needed to get to work so I didn't request a redo (I also felt bad for doing so). One sip of that latte made me regret my decision. It was the worst - watery and tasteless.
