Iced americano
Meryl H.

This cafe is located inside the ameswell Hotel, which has a really large lounge area and seems really very made and decorated. The day I visited the Cafe menu wasn't working, but it's mostly basic fare like latte americano expresso and drip. They use Colombe coffee. Service was easy and prompt Good place to lounge and catch up with folks. Docking a point as this is more a grab and go coffee place in a very good-looking hotel where the cafe is not their main business

Too bad manressa closed, but you can still by six dollar croissants here. Not the hotel markup--that's how much they cost in town too!

Ditto. It's a great hotel coffee shop, but not exactly an artisan coffee shop. The coffee menu has the basic espresso drinks. Think latte, mocha, and the like. They have black coffee, with a lower case b. And they have some lemonades. My chai latte was decent. The pastries are good, from Manressa bread. Again, great quality and selection for a hotel lobby (and better than Starbucks), but still not quite there yet. Still, i loved my chocolate croissant. The burgers are great! I usually balk at the hotel burger price, but this one is really good. When adding the ambiance, it's not hard to justify the $18. No tip requires since you pick it up at the counter and bus your own table. In the lobby they have decent Wi-Fi, some good table seating with power outlets, and no one bothers you.

Free treats for your furry friends, this is a pet friendly hotel and they make several luxurious accommodations for them.

Sleek, artistic, luxurious and modern atmosphere to match The Ameswell. The hotels living art museum and aviation theme of the hotel continues through the Fly-by. They serve local products from the amazing Manresa Bakery which is truly a pleasure in its own experience. A well crafted and high-end coffee can always be found as this spot is open all day. Next to grabbing a wonderful up of coffee, they also offer light breakfast bites, high-end grab and go snacks from the pantry wall, beverages, juices and protein shakes. There is a nearby indoor fireplace where you can enjoy a quick chat over coffee or grab your breakfast, a book and stay for awhile.

Hidden gem. How can you not like this wonderful and beautiful cafe place? Warm, cozy, friendly, modern, luxurious, clean, positive vibes everywhere, etc. There's free three hours parking to the left side of the hotel entrance doors. No need to enter garage. Cafe is inside the hotel lobby or enter from patio area doors from the restaurant/bar side. Staffs are welcoming and well trained. Toss your own trash and trays/utensils into designated bin area. Good upkeep. Best of all, this cafe has great varieties of pastries, breakfast items, holiday beverages, and more. There's definitely plenty of great views with lots of tables & chairs to choose from. Christmas vibes everywhere. Must love. Excellent interior design of the entire building. Pumpkin spice latte looks/tastes great for the cup value. Chocolate bread was a bit smaller in size than most bakeries, but it tastes perfect. Croissants and muffins looked lovely. I had a very delicious avocado toast that came with breakfast potato wedges. Excellent presentation and huge food portions. Avocado toast was too beautiful to eat with many pieces of cherry tomatoes on it. Potato wedges exceeded my expectations for cafe quality. It's hotel quality good. Crispy, tender, colorful. Sweet caramelized onions were made to perfection too. Good chef. There's nothing I disliked. Guests and customers were all working professionals. Very good feeling inside. It's a great place to reserve for holiday parties and occasions too. I really enjoyed sitting inside this cafe area. Definitely worth checking out.

Really good avocado toast

When visiting for the first time, I really wasn't expecting much. It was a weekday morning. The place was not very crowded. The atmosphere was comfortable for my friend and I to enjoy brunch and have a nice conversation. I ordered an avocado toast, and to my surprise, it is one of the best avocado toasts around the area.

Nice little cafe located in the lobby of Ameswell hotel. They use Columbe coffee roaster's beans and my latte was perfectly smooth. They also carry snacks to-go as well as fresh pastries, pre packaged salad/sandwiches, and a couple of warm breakfast items (for a sit-down breakfast/meal Rogers Restaurant shares the same space). Parking is easy in the structure next to the hotel, with chargers as well. The seating is lobby seating, but think more upscale swanky style.

Veggie Omelet

Tried this for the first time for an early morning coffee and breakfast. Love the modern vibe and ambiance. It's fairly new and love the classiness and sophistication of the place. Very neat and clean with welcoming staff. Enjoyed my hazelnut latte and veggie omelet breakfast while I bury my face on my book. Enjoyed my time very much. Will return for sure!

I am always looking out for good places to host gathering with girlfriends and for Meetup groups. It's not easy to find a large space for a group of 10-15 people in coffee shops that has nice decor, a clean restroom, quiet without loud music, and are not busy on the weekend afternoon. I think cafes in the hotels might be a good choice around Silicon Valley. They offer 3 hours of free parking. They have a few areas that are semi-private for small groups.

Popcorn chicken

The service is exceptional super fast and considerate. The food though is a little okay. The popcorn chicken has actual popcorn which sounds innovative but the combination just didn't work. The food was definitely in the smaller portions and the prices were definitely more expensive. Super great study place though.

Chill and very modern ambiance. The service was amazing and the sofa seats were fabulous!

There will be plenty of foot traffic going in and out of the restaurant. My dining companion and I settled in at the counter since the weather was a bit brisk today. Joanie's has been around long enough to wear its old-school vibe with confidence. The service is just fine. Nothing to complain about and nothing to tell write home about. It's a small enough place you are able to flag someone down if you needed something. We both ordered the "Joanie's Breakfast Medley" which includes French toast or two pancakes, two eggs any style, home fries, and your choice of protein (bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, chicken-apple sausage, or ham) for $25.95. We added two coffees, because we are functioning adults who require caffeine to make decisions. The food was fine, it was what a Sunday breakfast should be. I had a bit of a sticker shock when I asked for the bill and saw that it was OVER $75 for two people at breakfast, with tax and tip. I sat there doing the math in my head the way you do when you're hoping the numbers will somehow rearrange themselves into something more palatable. They did not. Now, to be fair, I am fully aware that the cost of ingredients and labor has gone up across the board. I was just operating on an optimistic budget of maybe $60 which I now realize is one of those "back in my day" comments to bore the Gen Zs to tears. If you want a recommendation for something sweet, go straight for the Cherries, Berries and Mascarpone French Toast. The eggs benedict is a reliable choice too, if you're feeling classic. The restaurant is easy to get to as it is located at the corner of California and Ash Street, and there's a large parking structure right next door. Would I go back? Probably, yes. But I will be prepared so that the wallet shock doesn't catch me off guard again.
