I visited the Google cafe on a whim for a snack. It was busier than expected, but the long line moved pretty quickly. A super nice guy named Mohamed helped me out. Said to call him "Mo." He was quick and calm despite how busy it was. I ended up with the club sandwich and strawberry layer cake. I asked Mo about the matcha since I love matcha errrrythang, but he said he'd personally never tried it before. It was honestly refreshing that he didn't try to upsell me. I'll have to come back and try their matcha items! Prices are reasonable and food was good, but what made it stand out versus other tech cafe's was the customer service. Mo was super professional and welcoming and when I tried to add a tip for his great service, I noticed that Google doesn't allow tips. I actually like that because it shows that service isn't tip driven. Hopefully this review to recognize Mo can take the place of a tip, and Google continues to hire friendly people like him! read more

Well well well! So I finally made it over to the café, and it was a bit crowded today, thanks to a visiting group from a Senior Citizen Center who arrived by van. We were seated outside, which was great because we could enjoy the fresh air while having lunch. As for the Google experience, the lunch isn't exactly what Google employees receive for free, but it gives a taste of it. While it's not free, the prices are somewhat reasonable. My meal included a turkey club sandwich (which was quite good), a bowl of butternut squash soup, veggie chips, and a s'mores cookie. With tax, the total was $24.00. Interestingly, they do not accept tips, suggesting that employees are paid well enough not to need them! While I was having lunch, a lady and her baby were nearby, and the baby looked over and said "goo goo." I smiled back and joked, "Google," then I immediately checked my stock--just kidding! If you find yourself in the Mountain View area, the café is close to Shoreline Amphitheatre and Shoreline Park, nestled by the San Francisco Bay. It was a nice change of pace. Just think: if you worked for Google, breakfast, lunch, and dinner would all be included, and you wouldn't need to go to a bar--everything is part of their impressive all-inclusive experience. I found this place on TikTok and decided to stop by. I came on a Saturday. They have a free parking lot and there's a shuttle that passes every 5 minutes. There's a lot of walking area where you see sculptures. They have a cafe where you can order food and drinks. They have a store where they sell phones, coffee mugs, stickers, and shirts. There's also a walking area across the street. Everything was sold at a great price even the food. The customer service is great. I got a salad Autumn Chicken Apple Salad Greens blend of kale, radicchio and treviso tossed in a creamy honey crisp apple vinaigrette. Topped with pickled cranberries, granny smith apple, gorgonzola cheese and sweet candied walnuts $9 It was so good and big I couldn't even finish it so I brought it home! To drink I had a Caramel Latte and the dessert was a sample of the Matcha cake. You should go try it and after go for a walk around the campus. Such a chill place to eat/drink/study/work. Food is great, a bit pricey for the portions, but still tasty. They apparently support local businesses like Acme Bread (huge fan) and Progeny Coffee. The cafe is much more affordable, however. Most things are under $5 at most. The Americano is my go-to and it's only $2.50. In this economy I find that fairly scarce to come by. There's a little knick knack shop nearby with all sorts of things. It's kind of like a mini Therapy Store if you're familiar with that SF Bay Area business. There's an area to study/work and also a larger conference room that apparently you can book? I saw someone giving a presentation about insects and why they're important. I felt like at college again lol. Bathrooms are one of the best and cleanest. I think Googlers bring friends/family here to get a glimpse of the campus. Google's cafe is probably one of the best I've been to in Silicon Valley! They has a wide variety of food that is made to order and customizable very easily. We got probably one of everything just to try it and everything tasted really good. And they also have tons of drinks and desserts available as well. I wanna gatekeep but I cannot emphasize enough how everyone needs to visit here. Not only is it sooo fun and cool as an attraction since it's Google HQ, the food and coffee here is actually soooo good & soo affordable! I'm always telling people to try it because a lot of folks don't realize anybody can go visit and order from the cafe. My go-to order for food is usually the grilled cheese (like $6) and buttered noodles (like $4). For coffee I usually get the engineer (like $5)- it's sweet but not too sweet since it's honey flavored. The prices are soooo good considering how amazing everything is. I love the vibes at this cafe! It's usually peaceful--even when it's full of people. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and they keep water and table sauce outside. The menu is surprisingly affordable--especially for a Google campus setting. I was genuinely impressed the first time I saw the prices. The staff is always polite and helpful. Once, when I asked about ordering tiramisu, the staff went out of their way to check if they had it in stock before I waited in the ordering queue (there were a lot of people). It saved me time and showed how attentive they are. As for the food and drinks, I've enjoyed everything I've tried so far. After seeing the selection at the Apple park store cafe, I'm pretty content with the Google Visitor Experience Cafe. The cafe is right at the corner of the visitor experience entrance, slapped between the Huddle room and the Google store. It has both outdoor and indoor seating, tables are first come, first served. One line for the food and drinks ordering, drinks are picked up at the beverage bar, food at the opposite end of the kitchen. If you do pick a table outside, you should check in once a while for the drinks, the buzzer you get is only for the food. Food selection is pretty decent. You have choices like sandwiches, salads, small pastas, soups. Breads are from Acme Bread, some dishes from Cowgirl Creamery. It's like you have the choices at the Ferry Building but in Mountain View. I forgot who was the local roaster, but very decent coffee. Soup and salads were of decent portions, I had a tomato bisque, a citrus salad, and a coffee and was full for about 3 hours, which was not bad considering it was my first meal after a workout. The environment was quite chill. I wouldn't make a whole trip out of just to dine here, but it's pretty good for the convenience of dining here before or after wandering around the campus. read more

It can get busy on weekends but we have always been able to find seating outside and make it through the line pretty fast. Some of the workers at the cafe aren't too happy or friendly, but the people outside are very friendly. Ample parking. There is seating inside, but we have always just sat outside. Other than a rude lady blocking entrance to an intersection (not a Google employee at all) for an upcoming concert and having a hard time finding visitor parking, we had a good time. The experience is wonderful and the food is locally sourced. We ordered a few sandos (Sammies) and a tomato soup as well as the butternut squash soup. Highlight was definitely the butternut squash soup. Highly recommended! The place is small but felt like I was part of the UN with the crowd around us. Languages from around the world. There's also a park across the street where you can walk around. I believe you can even use their bikes. I didn't try since the bikes are too big for my kids. Worth checking out. read more

I was never a Google fan but surprisingly had a very good experience at this new cafe that was open to the public two years ago. The vibe i picked upon entering was calming, casual and peaceful. We ordered butternut squash soup, ham & cheese sandwich, all day egg, roasted veggie burrata salad and desserts (pumpkin spice cake and brownie). Can't believe how great they tasted! Service was prompt and friendly. We got served right away from this polite lady carrying a device. She also recommended pumpkin spice cake to me and said it was her favorite. Thanks hon! The cake indeed was absolutely delicious! The plus side was it wasn't too sweet. I also loved their imperfectly-shaped bowls and plates. They are aesthetic and unique. I've always wanted to feel like an elite Google tech bro in Silicon Valley, so touring this visitor cafe on the Google campus that's open to the public is the closest thing there is! We visited on a summer Saturday, when it gets quite busy. The interior and decor of the cafeteria is very visually appealing, clean, and minimalistic. There's a wide variety of items on the menu, including a huge selection of baked in-house pastries like cupcakes and eclairs. We ordered a massive feast fit for even the hungriest Google employee: Strawberry Dragonfruit (4/5): This drinks just tastes like ordinary juice, but it's a big cup and very refreshing. Oat Latte (5/5): This was our biggest suprise -- comparable to coffee in Seattle! It goes down the throat smoothly. Crispy Ruben (5/5): The corned beef is a little too greasy, but it definitely is cooked crispy like bacon and very well seasoned. Served with sauerkraut and Swiss cheese on toasted rye, this was our favorite item! Smoked Salmon Toast (chef's special) (2/5): The toast is smothered with a generous amount of some kind of salmon pate-like cream cheese mousse, which made this dish way too salty. The smoked salmon itself was okay. Chocolate Eclair (2/5): This eclair didn't taste that fresh, maybe it was from yesterday? It also had too much thick white custard cream inside, oozing all over our mouths and a giving us a richness overdose. Overall, the food and ambiance is actually pretty decent for a convenient lunch when you are at the Google Visitor Experience. There was lots of smashed avocado which I appreciated. Great portions for the price. The tomato bacon jam that they use, adds a nice sweetness to every bite. Out of curiosity, I recently visited Google's campus to try this cafe which is open to the public. I ordered the porchetta sandwich and it was delicious. While I typically don't eat dessert for lunch, I couldn't resist ordering the pumpkin creme fraiche layer cake. I found it to be quite tasty too. Service was prompt and friendly. As others have mentioned, the Google visitor parking is kind of far away (12 min away by foot according to Google Maps). Nevertheless, the menu is enticing enough for me to treat those 12 minutes as an opportunity to get more steps in my day. read more
