    Custom made to order salad

I love their shroomami salad that comes with warm portobello ( the highlight of the dish in my opinion) , tofu, toasted almond and delicious sesame dressing. You can also customize salad if desired with many dressing options. Their service is good. Even if there's a line, it moves fast.

Autumn harvest bowl swapped with tofu

I tried their autumn harvest bowl but swapped the chicken for tofu and it was delicious! The maple brussels sprouts were perfectly roasted and savory without being overly sweet. All of the flavors complemented each other well and the bowl was very filling. Sweetgreen is my favorite salad bar that makes me feel full and healthy. It's definitely pricey with each bowl in the $17 range but it seems like fresh produce. Service is usually speedy since it's made to order.

LOVE THE SAUCE. I get the pesto vinaigrette every time and it is so amazingly delicious. I cannot recommend it enough! Sweetgreen is a very healthy and somewhat affordable option for food! This location took 45 minutes to get my online order ready on a Monday around lunch time. I guess they were super busy. I wish Sweetgreen had more diverse meat options. :( Overall though, a great option for salads or bowls that have that extra touch of healthiness to them. :)

Located in Downtown Mountain View, parking is plentiful. Seating is ample and the interior is spacious. The art on the wall was very cool. Harvest Bowl (4/5): quite delicious. The flavor was good but it got soggy at the end. The bread was also a bit hard. I really liked chicken and goat cheese though. They went together perfectly. Tap to pay is accepted. If you're looking for soft drinks sorry to burst your bubble but they only have water. Overall, Sweetgreen is a good place if you're looking to feel healthy and pick up a hearty salad.

First time at sweetgreen and had the bbq chicken salad and oh man that thing was delicious!!! Now I understand why people go to sweetgreen! The portions are great but still for a salad the price was quite high!

I like this location. Because it doesn't feel crowded and stuffy from too many people. Actually there isn't much seating. Medium level of business in a weekend afternoon. I can imagine it can get crazier during the week.

Poor service here :( I ordered on the app/website and requested bread. I ate there, and noticed when I got my order that there was no bread. I asked the worker for it and she was no help. I said I did request bread but didn't receive it, and could I get it now? She said I could make a complaint with the app? Why not just correct the mistake if I'm already in store asking for it? There were also no water cups or utensils out, I had to request both.

Second time here and its now no longer timing or a coincidence that there bowls are half the size of other Sweetgreen locations. Sorely disappointed. I had to ask for extra kale and extra everything because the bowl was half full even with everything in it. Stingy with their ingredients when its an overpriced bowl of salad. To make it worse, the ingredients did not taste fresh at all and the ingredient that was supposed to be warm were all cold. The portions were still small. I do not recommend this location at all.

These healthy bowls are beautiful and delicious. We shared 3 different ones and each one was so unique. Different ingredients and green leaves. Loved them all. The blackened mushroom one was so unique highly recommend as yummy healthy options.

Received a gift card for Christmas and finally found an opportunity to use it! Came around 1pm and was actually surprised to not see a lunch crowd inside. The lady who helped me out was super nice and overall I received great and quick service. Definitely looking forward to my next visit! The order: - Miso bowl with salmon: I had the miso bowl and honestly it was so worth it. I did switch out the chicken for salmon and added avocado so not sure if that made a difference. The dressing was so tasty and I loved the roasted miso veggies. I've been a ride or die for the kale caesar salad for years but the miso bowl is for sure my new favorite. Definitely a must try! - Bbq chicken + squash plate: My partner had the bbq chicken + squash bowl and also really enjoyed it! Like the miso bowl all the flavors worked well together and he was impressed with the amount of protein.

The salads are good and they have a variety of choices. Everything is fresh and the staff are all coordinated and friendly. Great place to dine in or to go. The place has outdoor tables to enjoy the day outside.

Build my own bowl with 1/2 kale 1/2 spinach, broccoli, tomato, cucumber, beets, chicken breast, oil & vinegar, lemon juice & hot sauce.

So a few days after returning from an overseas trip, I made a lunch reservation with a friend. Apparently, reservations are required if you want a proper meal experience. At $35 per person for lunch, including tip but excluding drinks and additions, it still seemed like good value. Finding parking during lunch time in downtown Los Altos was surprisingly difficult. There were no spots available on the Main Street, so I had to park in the lot behind the buildings. As I walked inside, I admired the high ceilings, curved alcoves and glass-enclosed dining room by the entrance. The entire space seemed to be illuminated by a central skylight. Aaron is a co-owner of Tal Palo along with his partner, Chef Adriana. He greeted and complimented me on my Mikkeller Taipei t-shirt. Aaron told us he was once the co-owner of an Oakland bar specializing in Belgian ale called The Trappist and subsequently knew Mikkel's brother, Jeppe, who founded Evil Twin Brewery quite well. It was cool to meet a fellow artist and Renaissance man. Fittingly, the beautiful space was largely designed by Aaron. We had our choice of seating. It didn't seem as if there were any two tables and chairs that were alike. Each part of the dining room was unique. There's a really nice patio in the back with a cool huge mural on the wall that is undoubtedly popular during warmer months. We chose a nice broad two top table near the entrance, lit brightly by the skylight above it. Chef Adriana introduced herself and brought by what was essentially an elote muffin, and offered it as an optional appetizer. We took her up on it. It was delicious and buttery with the texture of corn kernels, not simply pureed into a batter. I also ordered a Cafe de Olla, which was pleasantly sweet and blended with cinnamon and spices. She then brought a plate with skillfully prepared green salad. It was then clear that each dish was meant to be shared family-style. The portion-size of each dish is about the size of an individual portion, but there were three dishes included in the lunch course. I could see how this might be an issue for those who eat larger portions, leaving them unsatisfied. Me and my friend don't generally eat a ton, so this was perfectly fine for us. Next up was the highlight of the meal, Chilaquiles Verde. The egg was perfectly fried atop tortilla chips that still had a bit of crispness to them. The tomatillo salsa was a perfect balance of flavor, tanginess, spice and temperature. It was a superb dish that outpaces any chilaquiles that I've been able to find locally, and I've certainly been trying out many for the past six months in search of the best one. I think Chef Adriana's version at Tal Palo may be the winner. There was one more interesting dish remaining: fried quesadillas served with a creamy red beet mole sauce. The quesadillas were light and fluffy, made from masa rather than flour. The beet mole sauce had pine nuts and sesame seeds and several other ingredients blended into it. Very unique and creative rendition unlike any mole I had ever tried. The overall experience at Tal Palo was very unique. There is no set menu, and you are served whatever Chef Adriana has prepared that day. So one needs to approach this restaurant with an open mind and leave preconceptions at the door. As I mentioned earlier, the shared portions might not be enough for people with a higher caloric intake. If these are showstoppers, this is probably not the right place for you. I personally really enjoyed the concept and experience. I look forward to trying their dinner course and going to their workshops for things like making tamales.

The menu is relatively small, but also very diverse with a variety of protein options and some vegetarian selections. Since it's served tapas/family style, you get to try a ton of the menu. Everything we had was delicious and very balanced. Even with a super low spice tolerance, the heat in all the dishes was not just tolerable, but even delicious. I think the dish I'd most recommend is the pork shank. Everything about it was super surprising and incredibly delicious. It literally fell off the bone and had a ton of texture with a melty, tender inside and a sticky, crunchy exterior. I would eat just this for a whole meal! Despite my own dislike for goat, even the goat empanadas were good and managed to convince me I don't actually hate all goat meat! Much like the menu, the ambiance is perfectly balanced, perfect for a romantic date night, a business meeting and even for a friend/family dinner. His group absolutely loved the goat empanadas, the disco fries, and the pork shank. My sister and BIL were in town again in mid-July so I made a reservation on OpenTable (easy with one week in advance). We were seated at one of the booths and service was... a little odd. We never got a "Welcome to Valley Goat, have you been here before?" or any explanation about the menu. We sort of knew what to order because of my BIL but it was notably weird. Service that day was impersonal and the main reason why I've downgraded one star. BIL said that he had better service with the bachelor party in March - the server back then had thoroughly explained the menu and was great about everything until things got a bit busier later and they had to wait a long time for the check. However, despite the weird service, the food was so good that I brought some of my local friends the following weekend - and this time, we did not make a reservation and decided to walk in and sit at the bar. Big shout out to Jonathan, Roy, Erica and Nick who took good care of us at the bar! At one point in our meal, they noticed we were waiting for our last two dishes for a while and I overheard them talking about going to check on those plates, and sure enough they appeared shortly after. We never waited long after drinks were finished before they checked in if we wanted anything else. Food: Disco fries ($25) were fire - loved the combination of savory / creamy / pickled items. Would definitely order again. Sticky pork shank ($59) - the number one reason I wanted to bring my friends here because I knew they would be as impressed as I was. With the $59 price tag, it's a little hefty but absolutely worth it. Meat slides right off the bones, sauces are fantastic, pickled cucumber salad and pluot salad add a nice counterbalance to the meat... the only thing I would like more of is the lettuce pieces so I can make my own lettuce wraps! Chickpea fritters ($21) - one of my faves other than the pork shank. Loved the crisp textures and flavors. Goat empanadas ($20) - delicious and one of my BIL's favorite dishes. That limey huacatay sauce appears on several menu items and stands out each time - can't go wrong with it! Less impressive: sautéed green beans ($20) were not worth the money and were too salty, and the kalbi ($45) was fine and didn't stand out like the other dishes. Sort of a run-of-the-mill kalbi. Drinks: drinks were definitely on the pricier side but all very tasty! I was actually most impressed by one of their mocktails - the Temple Fizz ($16). Mocktails are weird in that some bars will increase the price to an unreasonable amount, but I think it's genuinely deserved here. The Temple Fizz had complex notes that had me sipping like I would any other cocktail, rather than guzzling it down like a soda. Jonathan mentioned that their mocktails are super popular as well, and I think that speaks strongly to their mocktail selection. Overall, I would keep coming back and sitting at the bar. Food and drinks are fantastic!

I don't know what the green sauce was drizzled ontop of the dolmas, but it was delightful. I _think_ it was some kind of pesto, but I'm not sure. The dolmas were perfection, and I even ate the lemon pulp with the green sauce because it paired perfectly. Next up, the omlet with the grilled salmon and fresh pita.. I don't know what the red spice was, but the flavor was perfect, the salmon was moist and tender. The cucumbers were just the right amount of crunch, though the tomatoes were a little overripe for me. My husband enjoyed it all though. The portions were perfect for splitting between the 2 of us. I paired this with the fresh brewed iced tea and it was perfect. This isn't a ritzy place, it's a nice drop in for casual food and chat. The seating outside has shade and comfy seats and they have bowls for water for your dog if needed.
