This Pokeworks location is excellent and the over the counter service is excellent too. Prices aren't cheap. Tiny store with only one table and few chairs inside. You can certainly dine outside in the patio areas on the streets too. Foods and beverages are fresh and delicious. It's been around for more than a decade, even when I used to work nearby in the area. It's catered to mostly working class people. Staffs are always busy fulfilling customer orders. They are all passionate and it shows when they hand the orders to customers. I watched them prepare the poke bowls too. Having two self service kiosks inside this tiny shop was a bonus. It didn't take too long to grab my order. It's a breeze here if you know what you want ahead of time. At the kiosks, you should always pick everything that is included/free for your bowl. Otherwise, your order may not turn out looking generous in portions or great. The system isn't set by default to fill in the items for you, so choose wisely to create the perfect bowl for you. I had the poke salad bowl with 3 proteins. Absolutely delicious and fresh. It reminded me of times when it used to be my regular lunch stop. My bowl was satisfying and I ate all of it: mixed salad greens, light seared lobster surimi, spicy tuna, ahi tuna (I thought I ordered salmon instead), cucumber, sliced onions, sweet corn, cabbage, edamame, kale, mango, tangerine, pineapple, seaweed, cilantro, peppers, medium flavored/ponzu sauce, seaweed salad, pickled ginger, sesame seeds, chili crisps, garlic crisps, strong wasabi (I should have skipped it), etc. Very nutritious and good. I built my own two protein bowl with salmon and chili crisp chicken and enjoyed both. Seaweed salad does not cost extra here! My family and I have come to this Pokeworks location every week and we are wowed every single time. They have so many different options on the menu for us to choose from and we love it. The service there is always wonderful as the people working there are always so nice and helpful. The poke is absolutely delicious and doesn't compare to other poke places around. Highly recommend if you're in the downtown MV area and are in the mood for a quick delicious meal! There is no sit down area inside so little ambiance indoors, but plenty of chairs outside for you to enjoy your meal if you don't want to takeout and eat at home. There are so many poke options on doordash that it can quickly become confusing and overwhelming. We decided to give this place a try due to proximity and good reviews. Got the regular bowel with 2 proteins (ahi and salmon), lots of add-ons and the classic sauce on the side. I was also glad that the options were a bit more limited than other poke places (I get major decision fatigue when there are too many choices). I also liked that seaweed salad and crab salad are free. Food wise, everything tasted super fresh! No fishy taste at all. You can tell that the fish is good quality. The sauce was nice and tangy. After emailing their support due to a poor experience my first time trying their food, I was able to receive two free vouchers for a poke entree. I really appreciated how they were able to reach out to make my second experience better; they're also super quick to respond via email. There's no indoor seating inside, but the numerous areas for outdoor dining available in DT Mountain View make up for it. You could order via a kiosk, or up front at the register. After ordering, they make your order in the back. I ordered two large poke bowls, both with two salmon and one tuna as the proteins. The quality of the salmon was much better than it was my initial time. It was a lot fattier and fresher in flavor. The tuna was good but a couple of bites were super chewy for some reason. Pokeworks is a hole in the wall poke place in the middle of castro. Even though I came late at night, the ahi tuna was still fresh and delicious. They have fresh fruit options like mandarin and pineapple which made the bowl more healthy and refreshing. The only thing is that the portions are pretty small. I wasn't full after a regular bowl. I do love how automated everything was with the self order stands in front and the shelf they have for people to easily pick up online orders.
