Guess what?!?! I think I finally found Nemo. Aloha Fresh in Japan town is just a block or two away from Santo Market making my expectations high. Although I stand Santo market (because my name is in it) Im a huge fan of Poke Nachos with wonton chips and Aloha Fresh has just that. The location is right on the strip of all the Japantown stores, which makes it a fun stop while walking around. We visited Aloha Fresh in San Jose Japantown after seeing all the hype on TikTok, and when we arrived there was already a long line out the door--about 20 people ahead of us. We came on a Saturday right at opening 11:00 am with only three people in line ahead of us. By the time we ordered, there was a line to do the door. I ordered the poke nachos with spicy salmon. The poke nachos by default come with one scoop of poke and seaweed salad. You can get crab salad or an additional scoop of poke added for an additional fee. They then drizzle sauce on top of everything. I was curious about their other poke options so we also opted for a poke bowl with 2 scoops of poke and 2 sides. It comes with rice (you can also sub it out for greens). We tried the stoyu ahi and the Hawaiian ahi. For the sides we got the crab salad and the mac salad. First up - poke nachos. The wonton chips are crispy and a great vessel. The spicy salmon has good flavor. If you don't like a lot of sauce, you may want to ask them to go light because they do drizzle on a considerable amount. Overall, I liked these poke nachos and would get them again. Happy I got to try the viral TikTok poke nachos today! There's a great variety of fish/poke options to choose from for the topping, which I really appreciated. The fried wonton chips were soooo perfectly crunchy and addictive. My only downside was the chip-to-fish ratio. I ran out of poke way before I finished the wontons, so I wish there was more to balance everything out. I also ordered the Poke Lover Bowl, which comes with two poke scoops and two sides. I went with the Sweet Soy Salmon and Spicy Shoyu Ahi. The fish itself was super fresh, but flavor-wise, the bowl leaned a little heavy on the mayo side, which slightly muted some of the seasoning I was hoping for. Love, love, love aloha fresh. Definitely one of the best poke spots in town. I also love Santo Market but come here for the Salmon + dinner hours + delivery. Poke Nachos are absolutely BUS would definitely go back for more. Wonton chips are so crispy with the garlic mayo sauce and unagi sauce + ocean salad and lomi lomi salmon. If you don't eat immediately, I'd see if it's possible to get the chips on the side They also sell poke by the pound. My fav is spicy salmon for $28/ib. Not too spicy but packs a good punch still. I used to order this with the poke chips on the side if I didn't plan on eating them right away so they didn't get soggy. And of course the bowl is also always a solid pick the rice is nice and hot and I love the Mac and ocean salad sides. Super filling for lunches and a little leftover for later. Like most places in Japan town, parking can be tough here because it's street side (and possibly metered) and there's no sit-in (there are benches outside to eat), but it's great vibes all around and the quality of the fish is amazing and I always come out for the poke :) read more

I have been thinking about this place ever since I got it. There was quite a line when we got there, but it went by quickly and gave us time to decide what to order. I got the kalbi ahi, and the flavor was so good--perfect balance of sweet and savory. The fish here is so fresh and buttery. I love that they have wonton chips as an option to eat with the poke as well. The poke nachos are also served with seaweed salad, which added a nice flavor.
