Came to try their new mocktails! Ordered the Kiss of Lishan and Crimson Haze. Total was about $20 and comes with a snack Kiss of lishan- essentially a Moscow mule. Really addicting and safe drink. The tea flavor picks up as you keep drinking and the peanuts were and nice spicy compliment. Crimson Hazy- more refined drink. Features a nonalcoholic rum with persimmon foam. Great if you want a not sweet drink that's closest to a standard cocktail. Comes with a dark chocolate sprinkled with tajin. read more

Stopped by to grab my usual Dong Ding Oolong Milk Tea, and this place continues to be one of my favorite spots for milk tea! I really enjoy the oolong flavor and how it isn't completely overpowered by the milk. The drink itself was delicious, but I did notice that the boba was a bit chewier than usual today. I personally prefer my boba on the softer side, so I wish it had been cooked just a little longer. It wasn't a huge deal, though, and I still enjoyed my drink! As for the service, ordering was pretty straightforward through their self-service kiosk. I also noticed that the staff were very attentive when preparing the drinks, which I appreciated. Everything went smoothly, and the overall atmosphere was nice and casual. It gives off a welcoming environment and a place where you can hang for a bit. The staff is always very nice and friendly. My fave drink is the milk tea with taro balls and taro paste. My husband was very jealous of my drink order. He really enjoyed his sparkling honey citron green tea too so, he was having some sort of crisis for a bit. My go-to drink order is the Dong Ding Oolong Milk Tea, usually with reduced sweetness. What's so unique about Chicha is that they have a teaspresso machine that actually brews the tea as customers order their drinks, so the tea is fresh and you can taste the quality in your drink. Going on a weekday, there's no line, but on the weekends it's pretty crowded. There's a lot of seats to hang out with friends. One wall is beautifully decorated with dried tea leaves and various colored ceramic tea cups. In the back is the tea tasting station where an employee can explain the different roasts of tea leaves that we can try, and they brew the tea right in front of you. They weigh the leaves with a scale, use a kettle with the precise temperature to boil the water and prepare your tea very professionally. They also sell tea bags with different tea types, which I bought the variety pack for my dad since he's a huge fan of tea. read more

Osmanthus - lighter roast. Dong Ding - darker roast. Most boba places use a darker roast, so if you're not used to lighter roasts it can feel sour. Cute ambiance and I liked the mousse top for the stronger tea. Wait time was accurate to their estimates. I got the mango green tea. I think it was delicious and good for a hot summer. It sparked my love for mango drinks or any variety. I tried the Lemon Mango Cloud, a new drink. It was actually so good I was overwhelmed with gratitude that this place existed. I've never had a drink I enjoyed as much as this one. I wanted to love this spot but honestly the milk based drinks fell short for me. I ordered the taro milk tea with full sweetness and it was simply not good. The flavor was super watered down and reminiscent of cardboard :( My sister ordered the green tea with cream and that lacked flavor too. The tapioca pearls were standard. On my way out I tried a sample of passion fruit tea and it was so good. I'm sure the tea based drinks are their specialty and I would actually come back for that, but I wish their other drinks were on the same level. I sadly spent $10 on a very disappointing drink. I come here every now and then with my friends if we're in the area. The place itself is big and has seating for you to sit and hang with friends. The drinks have always been solid.
