I love coming to TeaTop! I've been going here since 2015 and I'm so glad it's still in the area. My go to drink (which has never changed) is the Passion Green Tea Medley (with Boba and Lychee Jelly). Their boba is the perfect chew and has never been bad once. This drink is perfect for any weather but especially a hot summer day. Easy to order from here and there is a kiosk inside. Lots of parking and lots of indoor seating. Right now, they are doing a Buy 2 Get 1 Free for their anniversary EVERY WEDNESDAY! I usually really like this boba place and have had good experiences here, which is why today's interaction was disappointing. I ordered three drinks through the self-order screen like I normally do. There were banners displayed in the store advertising a "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" promotion, but when I placed my order, the promotion didn't apply on the screen. Since the cashier was busy, I went ahead and paid, assuming they could help correct it afterward. Once I mentioned that I had purchased three drinks but didn't receive the advertised free drink, the cashier said she would check with who appeared to be the owner/manager. She asked, and the response was immediately no. The cashier then came back and simply told us, "Unfortunately, it's not possible." What bothered me wasn't even the price of the drink--it was the way the situation was handled. If a promotion is being prominently advertised inside the store, customers shouldn't be expected to know that it won't automatically apply when ordering through the store's own self-service screen. I had clearly purchased more than the two drinks required for the promotion, and there was no attempt to explain what went wrong or offer any kind of solution. Tea Top is such a classic if you went to school in the cupertino area. I honestly haven't been back since high school. but I was pleasantly surprised. We got green tea with feng guo which is such a rare find as a topping. The feng guo here is better than Wanpo and TpTea. However, I prefer when it comes in bigger pieces like at Wanpo. I appreciate that they have honey as a sweetener option. I think the tea itself is great but TpTea and ChiCha has better green tea (but just marginally). The sugar level was just right for me, I got 30% sugar and it wasn't too sweet. I went on a weekday around lunch time so it was a little slow, but on the weekends I always see a lot of people here. Been coming here since they opened. Visited on Saturday, August 22, around 11:30am. There were no other customers in the store and the two women working behind the counter did not appear to be working on any other orders. When I went to order, they told me I had to use the kiosk. Little annoying, but fine. I always get the taro sago but change the tea to Earl Grey instead of the regular tea. The kiosk did not have that option so I asked the employees how I can make that change. They said they no longer allowed customizations on that drink. They informed me that this was a new policy. Sigh...such little things that really elevate the customer experience but they're not willing to do any more. I can understand that the kiosk comes into play when they're slammed but I was the only customer there. And I've been ordering the same drink for years but now they don't make it any more. This place was bookmarked for so long, and I finally got to try Tea Top this past weekend! It is located in a large shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking spots in the lot. Although, it does get quite busy since there is a Safeway & large dim sum Chinese restaurant in the same plaza. I decided to try the pearl milk tea here. I like how the pearls are smaller, it's more fun to eat! I do wish I lowered the sweetness. I got regular sweet and it was a little too sweet for my liking; I generally have a sweet tooth where I usually get 70-100% on my boba drinks (depending on the store), but I'd probably get 50% or even 30% here. Even though it was a little sweet, I'd still come back to try other drinks on the menu! The customer service was also really nice and I got my drink fairly quickly. read more

The walkability and proximity to Safeway, the tables and chairs perfect for meeting up anytime: after school then and after work now (as long as its after 11:30am or before 9pm) made Teatop the go to spot from when it boba was still PMT till now. I'm happy to see that despite the years, they still offer their loyalty stamp card long after most boba shops have moved towards apps or stopped offering loyalty rewards, and that there continues to be a steady line of everyone from students to grandparents waiting for their orders. -Earl Grey 3Q (less ice, less sweet): still my go to order; a great mix of floral notes from the earl grey, milkiness that isn't too overpowering but not watery, and plenty of jelly, boba and grass jelly to satisfy both my desire for something to chew on and a bit of sweetness and tartness to keep the drink interesting. You can't go wrong with this order. Teatop will always be one of my go to boba shops, not just because it was my first go to boba shop, but because the tea and topping quality has stayed consistent, even if the prices haven't. Leaving an updated review 8 years later...I ordered the same Signature Green Alpine Milk Tea drink and I thought it was okay at first, but as I kept drinking it, I felt it became more and more unappetizing. I just wasn't impressed by the flavor and I ended up giving my drink to my sister as soon as I got home. If I ever stop drinking a drink, that's when you know. I personally think it just wasn't the right drink flavor for me and I'm sure their other drinks are fine, as this is one of the more recommended boba shops in the Bay Area. I do have to say they have very nice texture for their boba, just the right amount of chewiness, probably one of the best in the area. The first and probably best of the three Tea Tops. Their teas are rich and satisfying; I especially like their Earl Grey and Darjeeling, which as black teas go, are a nice break from the Assam (and occasional Ceylon) tea offered nearly every place else. Quality is pretty consistent (all 20+ of my orders here have turned out well), and all their employees seem to be pleasant. I believe their drinks are also a tad bigger than average too, at 26 oz (22-24 is more common). The drinks have gotten pretty expensive, though (above $7, or above $8 with one topping) -- the only thing keeping them out of 5-star territory in my book. read more

Would recommend checking if you are part of a group or company qualifies for the Gold VIP (10%) discount with them. As TeaTop is a franchise, the discount is applicable as per individual locations. So while you may be able to apply for the discount at the Milpitas location, they won't let you use it here. They do have the occasional promotion, but they won't let you stack discounts or deals. This location is in Orchard Farms Shopping Center and has ALL the parking. I have never had trouble finding immediate parking as it's a bit out of the main bulk of Cupertino's traffic (that's directly up the street where Steven Creek's Main Street Cupertino is), even with the schools immediately surrounding this plaza. Unlike the other spots, this is the only store in the area that does online ordering, which you can do through both the TeaTop USA website and Yelp. TeaTop a Taiwanese franchise partnered with a tea enterprise that includes a long-standing tea brand, Chang Sun Tea. As such, it could be said that TeaTop's specialty and the tea that is specific to them is their Alpine green tea drinks. In fact, the menu has a variety of actual teas that they use in their tea drinks, including earl grey, oolong, Darjeeling, and the Taiwanese Sun Moon Lake black tea. And while they have popular flavors and drink types (brown sugar, milk foam, lattes, etc.), there are also more Asian-specific flavors such as mung bean, wintermelon, aiyu, and red bean. As a result, it's a convenient boba place when we have a family gathering or visiting relatives, as there's something for everyone in terms of generation and home-based preferences. Overall, TeaTop is a reliable favorite and I really appreciate those stamp cards. Can't combine them, but they gather like dust bunnies and we actually managed to finish a few at this point. It's a treat for on the way home or when I need to take people out after dinner. I think the Top 10 drinks (from the Top 10 menu) are probably the most reliable in terms of being good. The family favorites are the passionfruit tea medley, Alpine green tea, and earl grey milk tea. My friends and I came here for a drink and ended up lounging for a couple hours. Wow this place is super popular, there was a consistent long line the entire time we were there. Make sure to ask for a punch card if you plan to visit often. I have been loving taro so when I saw the taro milk slushy, I had to get it. I got it with boba.. and as you can see in my picture.. it looks like they dumped in the syrup they had cooked the pearls in so the bottom of the drink was super sweet. Really wished they did a better job in filtering that out. Also, the boba balls were a bit on the mushier side. I would rate the overall drink a 3/5. Yum! My go-to when I'm in the area and want a boba that's guaranteed to be good. There are so many boba spots in Cupertino, but Tea Top delivers every time for me. Even though it's usually pretty busy, the drinks come out quickly and the line moves fast. My favorite is the Earl Grey with 3Q (50 sweet/50 ice) but instead of grass jelly I get the mango pudding (it's so good!).
