I used to really like the milk tea here because the drinks were fragrant, creamy, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. But my recent visit was honestly very disappointing. A Molly Tea was right next to our dinner spot so I finally had to try it after seeing it pop up everywhere. The line was pretty long but it moved quickly and our drinks were done in no time. My first time trying Molly Tea and I'm disappointed. I knew that the wait would be a while since it was a Saturday, so I downloaded the mobile app and ordered ahead of time. The estimated time they gave us was wildly inaccurate. Once we got there and went inside, it was an additional half an hour wait. It is absolutely chaotic in there - completely packed with people ordering at the kiosk (which also had a long line), and just a ton of people waiting for their drinks. My husband and I got the Jasmine milk tea (add brown sugar boba +.99 - total 7.98) and I got a peach tieguanyin oolong milk tea (6.59). Both with regular sugar 100% and less ice. Both drinks were extremely watery. The floral notes of the tea does come through and it tastes like higher quality than average. However, it was way too watered down. The brown sugar boba was also extremely mediocre and was mushy, not QQ at all. 100% sweetness was about right, but since it was so watered down it didn't matter anyways. Peach flavor (essence) was quite strong in my drink as well, but also, again just watered down as a whole. I will say the pink packaging is cute for photos. Definitely not coming back anytime soon, though. read more

The pistachio jasmine coconut was an interesting balance between pistachio and the floral notes of the jasmine tea. It was hard to tell that there was coconut in it. The premium jasmine mango coconut tea was a bit sour for me because the mangos were not sweet. Though it came with a cream top to help make it creamy and a little sweeter. I think this was okay, if the mangoes were sweeter it would be better. I also thought that it's better without the jasmine flavor. Overall, both drinks were okay, the pistachio jasmine coconut was my favorite one. However, next time I will probably stick with their premium jasmine milk tea. read more

I personally like my drinks on the sweeter side so I got 100% sweetness and less ice. 100% sweetness was still not very sweet (comparable to 70%) but it's still very good. The boba was fresh and had a good texture but lacked flavor. The pecans on top of the whipped cream were such a nice touch and added a nice texture and sweetness to the drink. However, one look at the counter would tell you it was busy! There were tons of orders lined up for pick up. We waited about 10-15 minutes after ordering for our drinks. On the kiosk, there was a promotion, but I couldn't activate it. I asked the staff about it and she said it would start tomorrow - bummer. Staff seemed friendly and they were certainly efficient at their jobs. Overall, my brother enjoyed his drink, but didn't have much comments on it. I liked my bubble tea - the brown sugar boba pearls were a nice consistency and had good flavor. The tongmu lapsang tea was good - not too rich, but definitely not too weak in tea profile either. Everything paired well at 50% sugar. My only complaint is the lack of option of sizes - I finished my drink way too quickly and would have liked the option to order a bigger size (I know - I probably shouldn't, but I make the most of my treat when I have it!). The hype around Molly Tea is SO real and I had to see what it was about for myself. My husband and I came to the Cupertino location and first things first, parking is not great and it gets BUSY. The store itself is actually pretty big but it was packed left and right when we went. The wait was a little long but nothing crazy and totally expected given how crowded it was. The premium jasmine matcha was good and you can really taste both the matcha and the jasmine, which is actually pretty uncommon compared to other boba spots where the flavors get lost. My only regret was adding boba because it was hard and tasted a bit old, which took away from the drink for me. On the other hand, the pistachio jasmine coconut was VERY different but in the best way. You could literally taste all the flavors at once and it was surprisingly so good. There was definitely a line, but nothing too crazy, and the two self‑order kiosks helped things move pretty quickly. I normally leave reviews for great places or really bad ones and after getting bad drinks two different times here, I must leave a 1 star review. The 1st time, we order reg ice and 70% sweet, but both drinks had no ice and 0% sweet so we had to go home and add our own ice and sweetener. We thought the first time was a fluke and maybe they had a new worker who didn't know how to read the order so we went another time, which was a terrible mistake. The 2nd time we ordered 4 drinks with no ice and 70% sweet, but 2 of the drink actually did come with less ice and 2 of them had 0 sweetness. At $9 a drink one would assume this place would have amazing drinks, but I actually still don't know what a normal drink tastes like here because both times they mess it all up. I ordered the premium jasmine milk tea at 50% sweet and the jasmine apple milk tea at 30% sweet. Both turned out the perfect level of sweet!! I will say, though, both tasted pretty much exactly like drinks I could buy at a 7/11 in Taiwan but at like 3x the cost...sadge. Still, I am gratitude to get that flavor in the U.S. The interior decor was super adorable and featured wood tones, pink accents, and plenty of seating! Unfortunately, this location is incredibly packed and has very limited parking (see attached photo). The milk is not too overbearing and still has a refreshing creaminess. It's just so good! The White Champaca Milk Tea and Gardenia Milk Tea are really solid options too! MollyTea has been my favorite since it opened in the UK. When I moved back here, I was super happy to hear they were also in the Bay Area. The drinks for the most part are good but sometimes inconsistent in the sense of sometimes it feels watered down. For the most part however, it's good! Service is not bad. I know they can be a bit slow when there's lots of people there but they do try to work as fast as they can. When it's not crowded, you can easily find seats to sit around and hang with your friends. My biggest complaint is the parking situation. Their parking area is really small so most of the time, you have to find parking in the neighborhood. If you park in a spot reserved for other stores, the store managers will complain to the workers. This is a new location in Cupertino that has better everything than its location in Sunnyvale. I honestly like them better. Product: their signature drink is Jasmine Green milk tea. That's my favorite of all time. The Jasmine flavor was aromatic and bittersweet. Exactly the way I like it. Order took a while. Service: the staff were friendly and helpful. I got my questions answered patiently, no attitude. Atmosphere: it's much better than its location in Sunnyvale. Bright, clean and cozy. There are cushiony chairs that are comfortable to sit on. A very cute tea shop designed in contemporary style with giant baby statue and flower center piece display for merch and a pink floral cart parking outside, catering to younger crowd. Came here the first time and probably didn't get the right drink (pistachio cream top with jasmine tea?) but I thought it was good and didn't understand the whole hype. Came back with my friend a second time and got the premium jasmine tea with matcha cream top and finally understood the hype. They're able to make the tea very strong and fragrant even when combined with milk. The matcha cream top has a prominent high quality taste with the perfect consistency. AMBIENCE: Very aesthetically pleasing & clean. SERVICE: This location has 2 screens for ordering & our drinks came out pretty fast. This location has more parking than the Sunnyvale. read more
