Popcorn Chicken
Lena T.

They have a self service kiosk or you can order at the counter. I got the passionfruit green tea and it was the perfect sweetness and had good tea flavor. The prices here a better than most boba places in the area too. The popcorn chicken is delicious as well! It comes out nice and hot and had a good crunch and flavor to it. Would definitely come back for more drinks and snacks!

Everything is mid about this tea shop, from ambience, tea products to customer service, yet it gives me so much memory from years of coming here with my family. Though I am always up for trying new places as a boba tea lover, I never want to forget this dingy place at the corner of this grungy plaza, that has sticky table, ok milk tea, hit-or-miss service, but lots of good time. Our recent pop-in after long-hour drive from a road trip was soul-soothing and nostalgic. Tried the curry beef shank rice plate and really liked it. It was yummy. My passion cream milk tea was ok. Service was absent-minded as they gave us the wrong drink and it wasn't busy. Restroom could use a good remodeling as everything was falling apart. Casual setting. There are a few tables for sit-in but don't expect comfort. I'd like to see this place getting upgraded.

Grime on the blinds

Dirty, dirty, dirty! Walk in here and look at the blinds. Not only do they have dust on them, they are baked in grime. They never been cleaned in the last decade it appears. I haven't received my order yet, so I can't speak to the food. But the condition of cleanliness in this restaurant is enough to give it the two star rating. I will never come here again. And I don't care how good the food is.

French Fries

Got two orders of fries and a Thai tea. The fries were 6.99 per order and it came out to be super small! Very upsetting portion ugh

Honeydew Milk Tea

If you're ever in the Homestead area and in the mood for boba pearls and something sweet and refreshing, Tea Era is a decent option. My friend and I came here after a particularly hot day in order to get a drink, and it was just as good as I remember. They now have a kiosk that you can order from and a variety of options, such as the Honeydew Milk Tea that I got. Service was relatively decent too, with the drink being prepared at an average amount of time and The interior of the place is a little dark, probably due to the dark wood of the walls, floors and furniture and the fact that the blinds of the windows were covering the light, but it gave it a sort of cozy atmosphere in spite of the loud children that were near us. There was also a TV playing what I think were kpop music videos, but I'm not entirely sure. The milk tea was refreshing, but occasionally the texture for mine would feel a little ot. My friend ordered a mango milk tea and mentioned that hers tasted a little artificial, but other than that we were still able to enjoy our drinks. It's not as sophisticated as some of the other places in Cupertino (or maybe I'm just a bit of a snob when it comes to boba), but it's reliable and has never failed to disappoint me. It would not be a place that I would go to on my own, but if a friend wanted to go there I would be more than happy to go with them.

Same price for most of the drinks

It's legal to charge additional "service fee", hidden fees not shown on menu? It's 20oz per said but there's a hidden service fee on every drink.

Hot Taro Milk Tea
Kevin T.

Came here on with some friends as it was their preferred boba shop in this part of town and it's a winner in my book. Pretty good pricing on bubble tea, had plenty of warm tea options (not quite hot, but it's rarer in the US), and taro tea had fresh taro chunks in it as well! Boba was good and flavorings at the 50% level were at a good subtle level of sweetness. It's a fairly simple place in decor, but quite the vast menu and I wasn't too interested in their other offerings (such as food and snacks). Good amount of parking given it's locale and it's pretty hard to find places that do cheap but good bubble tea, so this is definitely a name I'll be remembering going forward. Ordering is straightforward with a small kiosk that you can place your order at if you prefer less contact. Expect to have your number called out when your order is ready.

Yikes! No good. Coffee jelly tasted like burnt coffee grounds and the cream top was gross. Will not be returning.

For the past 10 months, I enjoyed their coffee and it was a great way to start my Sundays. During that time I tried more items from their menu, including limited specials and coffee beans. The closest place that I have had Indonesian coffee is Kopiku in SF (but that is so far!) I ended up ordering a Klepon which is an espresso based latte with coconut milk, Pandan syrup made with palm sugar, coconut flakes! This had such distinctive flavoring that played homage to south East Asian flavors and was so comforting, especially when it was served hot. I love how balanced the pandan and palm sugar was. It wasn't too sweet at all! I am eager to try more flavors here. Service was fast and quick and only took max 10 minutes to get my drink even with a line. I heard they are opening a store front - you definitely have a unique selling point in the South Bay! Rooting for your success!

We read reviews ahead of time and saw it was recommended to order online and come and pick up andi felt like this was a MUST DO, if you didn't want to be waiting all morning. I came to pick up my drinks about 25 min after opening and their running count for drinks made that day was already nearing 100. We tried the strawberry avocado smoothie and the mango avocado smoothie and both were great! I would recommend getting the mango if you had to choose between the two. We got 30% sugar (recommended) and I would say that was perfect! We added the oat pearls, and they were good. Different than the typical boba. I may prefer the other kind of boba, but my husband liked the oat boba better. I would love if they had both options to choose between and would love a few more non caffeinated options. Those are my two recommendations for change. We will be back!

I ordered the Yumberry Yogurt Drink, Peach Gum Drink, and Grape Yogurt Drink. I got all of them at 30% sweetness, and they were still pretty sweet, so I'd recommend ordering them with even less sugar if you prefer drinks that aren't overly sweet. Even though they're always busy with orders, it wasn't crowded inside. I was able to find a seat since most people just grab their drinks and leave. The drinks are very fruit-forward and taste incredibly fresh and high quality. If you enjoy fruity drinks, this place is definitely worth trying. My favorite was the Yumberry Yogurt Drink because it was so unique--I've never had anything quite like it before. It reminded me a bit of a mulberry drink with a creamy yogurt twist, and I'd definitely order it again.

It feels more like a factory of workers churning out cups of coffee without the personal touch that Philz was known for. Sadly, it's been hit or miss the times I've gone here recently. The other day, my coffee tasted burnt and not at all the way it was supposed to with the subtle flavors of the brew. Part of paying a premium is getting the quality that is difficult to replicate at home. I also miss the humble energy when Philz first started out and each staff member truly cared about your experience and the cup of coffee. For the price point, it's a shame that's no longer the case. Most staff here are hardworking and friendly, but some could use work on their skills. As someone who worked in the service industry, I 100% believe you should be acknowledged/rewarded for the work you do -- it's tough! But the automatic expectation of getting a tip and side eye you get if you don't is beyond ridiculous. And it's not just specific to Philz. Still a great cup of coffee. Just really expensive now. And you still have to wait (of course) so the appeal for a good cup of Joe is gone.

The boba had a really nice chewy texture and didn't have that plastic-like texture some places have. Same with the fenjiao, which was great to see since not many boba shops offer it. We also tried the fried veggie mix. It smelled insanely good when it came out. Thankfully it tasted just as good and was nicely seasoned. The staff were very busy but still moved things along quickly. We waited maybe 3 minutes for the drinks and about 8 minutes for the fried food. The shop has a very traditional Chinese tea house vibe, and the staff were wearing sleek Chinese-inspired uniforms with black and gold trim which added to the ambiance. Overall a really nice spot.
