On my visit to SJ this place was not open yet so I returned 2 years later ready. I ordered their guava grape and it was honestly one of the best drinks I've had. I hear great things about HeyTea but now I'm able to really try it and it does live up to the hype. This drink was a slush and the grape was chopped in small piece gave it a nice texture for crunch. I'll definitely get this again or go to another HeyTea
This is my preferred HeyTea location. The wait tends to be shorter than other locations, and order through the app ahead of time to skip the line! Nice and causal space with mostly standing room. The staff is friendly and efficient, which makes the experience even better. It's located in a plaza with a parking lot, although parking can definitely be a challenge as it's crowded on the weekend. I ordered the Crisp Grape Boom, my go-to drink. It's refreshing, packed with fresh-cut grapes, and consistently good.

Major reason I picked this place to pick up because anytime heytea is holding special event, this location is the most efficient and less wait time! For USOpen special goods, after choosing this store for pickup, and ordered ahead before 12pm, I was able to get my drinks and goods when I arrived. Sticker quality is better than I expected, it has 3d effect and magnet is cute! It is a hidden germ among Santa Clara/SJ area! If there are any further heytea new drinks, new promotion, pick this place as your 1st choice, it will save your time and give you a better pickup experience! (Tip: order ahead, and order goods early after system opens)
My son wanted Hey Tea, so we ordered online ahead of time so we don't have to wait. There were 31 cups of drinks ahead of us. It is crowded. So glad we ordered ahead and was able to pickup the drinks in 9 minutes and didn't have to wait while we were driving to get the drinks.
HEYTEA is hands down my ultimate favorite tea spot across the world. In Korea... In China... in Singapore... HEYTEA's quality upholds. And in California... HEYTEA is still one of my favorites. The difference type of flavors, the BOGO deals, and the simple branding makes the experience even better. I will say the service is a bit slow, be prepared to wait like at-least 8 minutes if it's a busy day (and it almost always is). But it's WORTH the wait always. I've never thrown away a half full HEYTEA drink. I've finished each one in under 20 minutes. Lol.
Luckily line was super short when we got here. I got the coconut mango boom and it was delicious! Love the mango bits, sago, and coconut chucks in there. Even though I'm not a fan of coconut, it went really well together. My husband got the pistachio cloud jasmine coconut and that was good too! Nutty yet refreshing. Great place to go after dinner. BUT... parking is horrible!!!
Came back to try other drinks. This time we tried Coconut Mango Blue, Crisp Grape Boom. They are both really good, refreshing and delicious. The coconut mango blue is also very pretty in color. Bear in mind that they're always busy and be prepared to wait at least 15+ mins for your drink.
The fragrance of the teas as you walk into this shop are wonderful, and I can see why it's a popular boba shop. I stopped by with my husband and got the king jasmine guava milk tea with brown sugar boba, while he opted for the coconut mango slushie. We both enjoyed our drinks, although I think I would like to try something sans milk next time as the tea itself seems to be of good quality. The boba was softer than I typically like it, but had good brown sugar flavor. The interior is almost aggressively trendy, white, and fairly minimalist, but is very clean and the staff seems to have a pretty organized system going for the orders. As mentioned, the fragrance of the brewing teas in the shop is wonderful, but it is a noisy environment so we ended up moving to the outdoor seating to enjoy our drinks. Orders are made through the kiosks, so the only interaction with humans is pickup at the counter. Overall, the tea seems good here, so I am looking forward to the next opportunity to stop by and try something from their menu.
Tried this place when they first open and was not a fan. I gave it a second try as my GF said the mango slushie drink was good. She was absolutely right. Just the right sweetness for me. Love the fresh mango. Love the texture and creaminess of the drink. It also had little tapioca balls and live the coconut jelly. Just a yummy drink. Pricey but worth it. The flavors on the drinks are top tier-my favorite drinks being the coconut mango boom and the king jasmine guava. The service is efficient and no-frills. I went on a BOGO day and waited an hour. Despite the crowd, employees were pleasant and once you reached the front and ordered, your drink was ready within five minutes. Great organization on the store's part. On the other hand, on weekdays it's manageable to get a quick drink from here without a crazy wait time. I can't emphasize enough how high quality the tea and flavors are here. Mango pulp in the coconut mango boom is incredibly fresh, and the king jasmine guava has a wonderful, flavorful creamtop sitting above delicious tea. Heytea sits atop an already competitive specialty drink scene in the Bay Area-for good reason.
Stopped by on a Friday afternoon, there was a smallish crowd compared to what it's like on the weekends. Cloud Mango (4/5) - Love the creamy texture and bits of mango, which contrasts nicely with the cloud. I ordered at the lowest sweetness possible, but it still came out way too sweet for my liking. Triple Matcha (4/5) - Nonsweet, grassy, and strong. If you love matcha this would be a great choice. This is more of a grab and go place. The limited seats that are available are more for chilling as you wait for your order. I recommend ordering in advance.
Drove from Monterey just for our favorite mango coconut. Always a delicious treat! First time at this HeyTea location, ample seating inside and outside. Its more like a 'pick up your drink and go' and no restroom in sight. Service was fast.
I got the jasmine milk tea with matcha cloud with no sugar, and it was pretty bitter, so I'd recommend getting it with some sugar (even if you get no sugar at other boba spots). I think it has good potential with 25% sugar. The strawberry peach boom was yummy, but it is pretty icy with just 25% sugar. The green grape boom with 50% sugar was a too sweet for me though. Also, I was not the biggest fan of the green grape flavor, but my friend who really likes green grapes really enjoyed this one. Mango grapefruit is probably still my favorite boom.

I must say, HEYTEA has definitely been one of my favorite spots for boba, milk tea and matcha. I've tried many of their drinks and all of them have been really tasty. The tea flavor is always strong and flavorful. I usually go with 50% sweetness and it's just right. It's hard to pick a favorite drink, but I'm going to go with the Cloud Coconut Blue and Pistachio Cloud Jasmine Coconut. However, I always default to trying different drink each visit, especially if they have a new seasonal drink. Order on their app for points and rewards. It's also helpful to determine how busy the location is. read more

I enjoyed the coconut mango boom! The drink had a slushy consistency that was refreshing, sweet, and fruity. The mango was perfectly ripe with just the right balance of sweet and tart. They had a ton of orders lined up for pickup, but I was impressed that mine was ready within five minutes of ordering. read more

Came back to try other drinks. This time we tried Coconut Mango Blue, Crisp Grape Boom. They are both really good, refreshing and delicious. The coconut mango blue is also very pretty in color. Bear in mind that they're always busy and be prepared to wait at least 15+ mins for your drink. read more

[Drink] - Yuzu Golden Oolong Tea ($7.49): I really wanted to like this but I didn't taste yuzu at all. It tasted more like an orangey, kumquat mixed with oolong. Overall this was just alright. This has grown to be one of my favorite places to get drinks! My favorites are the grape boom - The grapes are always so refreshing and the drink isn't too sweet so it's more enjoyable. I also feel very light drinking it and don't feel unhealthy after. The coconut mango boom is super delicious as well! I love all the toppings inside especially the sago. Their jasmine guava king is one my favorites as well, i feel like they rarely miss. I loveee guava and jasmine so it's a perfect combo!! I tried the green grape guava slushie recently for their summer seasonal drink and it's sooo refreshing especially in the hot weather. It cools you down and I literally finished it so fast. I've been here once when they first opened and tried the Coconut Mango Boom. It was good, but not memorable enough for me to come back often, especially with so many great boba spots in the Bay Area. This time, Instagram reels gave me major FOMO over their new Pistachio Cloud Jasmine Coconut, so I had to give HeyTea another try. The store is clean, modern, and has a nice minimalist vibe. It wasn't nearly as busy as my first visit, so my drink was ready in about 10 minutes, although the baristas were working nonstop with online orders. Staff were friendly and helpful too. As for the drink, I actually enjoyed the Jasmine Coconut base more than the Pistachio Cloud cream, which is funny because that's what brought me to revisit HeyTea. It was good and worth trying, but not something I'd specifically comeback for. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. I think HeyTea is worth trying at least once, especially if a new seasonal drink catches your eye. As for me... I'll probably only come back when Instagram gives me another FOMO. read more

I've been to the OC location before and decided to check out this location in San Jose. Seems to be in a plaza with some other great Asian eats. Parking was plentiful but the area was bustling. I ordered at a kiosk and the process was seamless. I decided on the coconut mango boom and my partner got the seasonal drink - pistachio cloud jasmine tea drink. Both were very delicious - perfect amount of sweetness and it didn't taste artificial at all. There were a few tables and chairs to sit at while waiting but it isn't really a place to lounge and relax. read more

Heytea has been a trendy spot lately (and for good reason, I think). The location is busy--there are tons of other businesses and restaurants around, so it's convenient to stop by before or after dinner to grab milk tea. Fighting for parking can be a bit tough, but once you're inside, the drinks come out quickly after you order them on the tablet. The interior is clean, modern, and well-lit; though most people take their drinks to-go, there is some seating if you want to sit down for a little to chat. The menu is pretty large and spans a wide variety of drinks ranging from matcha to milk tea to fruit slushies, so there's something for everyone. Everything is on the pricier side, in my opinion, generally ranging from $6-$8. The drinks I have tried are beautiful to look at and taste really good as well--the flavor of the tea is always strong, and the fruit in their drinks taste sweet and fresh. I will say that even the lower sugar options err on the sweeter side. Overall, I would definitely come back. I might treat it as somewhat of a special treat, given the prices, but I have no complaints at all about the quality of the drinks. I'd heard a lot of people rave about this drink, so I finally gave it a try. It definitely has a strong kale flavor, but the aftertaste reminded me a bit of kiwi. I like that HeyTea offers a healthier option to balance out their other drinks. There's usually a line, but ordering through the app makes things so much easier! You can skip most of the wait and just pick it up when it's ready. read more

Me and some friends wanted to get dessert after having dinner. The line wasn't long at night so we got to get our drinks in about 10min or less. The drink(s) are really good however if the line is super long, especially during the day, I'd say going to another boba shop is better. I wouldn't say its so amazing that waiting even half an hour is justified. The shop is very cute but always loud as they have a full team making all kinds of drinks. Lots of other good food around though. read more

I've been to the SF and Berkeley locations, and after trying this one, I can say they're very consistent with their drinks. The quality is always great, but the wait times may vary. I waited about 10 minutes for my drink here. read more
I was really craving the mango coconut drink so I had to try again whilst I was in the area. This time around my friend and I got the Coconut Mango Blue (I believe that's what it's called) and it was delicious :-) My friend got hers with the 0 calorie sugar. Normally I don't order the 0 calorie sugar because it would taste too sweet, however it tasted really good here! I ordered mine with default sugar. The mango is usually sweet enough so I like to order mine with light sugar. Whenever I'm craving a mango sago drink, I will definitely come back again! read more

I don't know y'all. The amount of time I waited really is swaying this review so perhaps I need to come back when there's not a huge wait. L O C A T I O N HEYTEA is located in the 99 Ranch plaza on Hostetter. The parking here is horrible. It's definitely really hard to find parking as it's shared with a lot of popular dining spots plus there's a 99 Ranch. I luckily found a spot. I N S I D E Well walking up I saw people hovering about and waiting inside, and there's a few seats inside. There is a kiosk to order as well as the register. There was a lot of workers busily making drinks. M E N U They have a variety of drinks including matcha which is apparently they are well known for as well as fruit teas and drinks. I ended up getting a normal black tea latte with boba to just try it out. The drink was smaller than I expected. The tea and latte was tasty and the boba okay. S E R V I C E I did my order at the kiosk and it was easy to go through, paid by card, but I didn't realize that the wait time was going to be almost an hour. Had I known, I would've just gone somewhere else. I was SO hungry/dehydrated as I just came from teaching a pilates class that I was just not happy not knowing that I was going to be waiting almost an hour for my drinks. They do prettily pack the drinks into a nice paper bag. O V E R A L L Although the drinks were good, I would not come back unless I ordered online ahead or go when the wait time would be less. They did have some interesting drinks. But yeah, that wait was not great. Not worth the wait imho. So take advantage of the online ordering if it's available. read more

First time trying hey tea. The drink is super delicious. There wasn't a long line outside so we got to try it. You order your drink at the kiosk and we didn't have to wait long to get our order. The place is very clean and they have some seats inside and outside of the store. It's right next to what used to be one of our favorite Korean bbq place so that's when we saw the long lines and never made it inside until today. Will come again! read more
Well really 4.5 stars but I had to boost it up because the drinks we ordered were rockstar. Came in after eating all you can eat which I would say it's harder to like anything else after you're full. However heytea surprised our whole group and we do love the drinks despite being full. There was a massive amount of people waiting for their drinks on Easter Sunday night. So that right there is a great indicator of its popularity. Ordering was a little rocky for me as it was my first time and I had questions that I couldn't get answered because it was so busy. However plenty of people around to explain favorites and I do appreciate seeing pictures of what the drinks look like. That matters a lot to me. I ended up downloading the app and ordering off there. There was one kiosk and other people used that as well. When I placed an order there were 80 other drink orders ahead of me. The wait was around 20 minutes. It wasn't bad considering how popular it is. They got those drinks out as efficiently as they could without compromising quality. The boba was the freshest softest pillowiest boba I had. I am in love! And the Jasmine tea has such a beautiful fragrant note. I couldn't ask for anything more. I want to come back and order some more soon. read more
I've been to a handful of Heytea locations and I usually get the mango coconut boom. It's tasty, refreshing, and a good balance of fruity and creamy. Solid go-to drink. Not my drink but tried some of the king jasmine guava which was just ok, tasted quite watered down and tasted a bit too artificial for my liking. The wait can get pretty long during rush hours. Online ordering/pickup was smooth. Parking might be tough on the weekend. It's located in a busy plaza. The kale boost tea was very good and refreshing - best drink I've had from hey tea so far. I didn't taste any bitterness from the kale. Got less sugar, no ice, and it was good for me, who usually orders boba at 30% sweet. I might even try lowering the sugar next time. Another drink I enjoyed was their yingde black milk tea. The mango boom was also good, but I wouldn't crave for it - I've had better mango sago drinks at other boba shops in the bay. Other items I've tried and would NOT recommend nor get again: - king jasmine milk tea: despite getting the king jasmine, which was supposed to have more tea than the regular jasmine, I thought the tea was still not strong and fragrant enough. - mulberry tea: same complaint - too sweet, tea was not strong enough. - grape boom: tasted like a grape smoothie you can make at home, but with slushie texture. Not bad but not worth, would pass. TLDR: I recommend the kale boost tea. read more

I've be coming to HEYTEA for a few years now and best thing is to order via app before coming. They have a wild selection of drinks, so take your time trying them all. I tend to park further away to avoid this congested area because entrance/exit and food delivery pick-up parking their cars in the middle of nowhere. HEYTEA is very efficient and clean. read more
Ordering is still a breeze via their kiosk or mobile app. Their drinks are still consistent and meticulous on sugar levels. The parking lot is still full as per usual, but the store was not crowded. Seating was available for once! The jasmine latte (large cup) is a super floral milk tea. You can choose how strong the tea taste is for this one. Really wish they had the larger size for their regular black milk tea! The longjing milk tea is more on the bitter side with a strong tea taste. Jasmine green tea is still one of the tastiest in the bay. All drinks were ordered with minimal sugar, which is great for people who are looking to cut sugar and still have a caffeine boost. read more

I have discovered my new boba obsession. I'm hoping that HeyTea sticks around this cursed location where businesses seem to close down every couple of years. My favorite drinks: Mango Coconut Boom (5/5) - HELLA GOOD! I don't think I could ever get tired of this drink. It's basically mango and coconut sago. You can't go wrong with this combination. Mango Coconut Blue (5/5) - It's the same as the Mango Coconut Boom...but make it blue! Mango Grapefruit Boom (5/5) - I honestly was not expecting to like this drink because I don't like grapefruit but it works really well with the mango. The mango is toned down in this drink because of the grapefruit. For grapefruit lovers though, maybe the grapefruit would be too subtle. Order ahead if you can! The wait time isn't terrible there's seating inside and outside or if not could explore the nearby stores. I really love the smell inside heytea All the florals yum. I got the triple supreme matcha. I love that I was able to add extra matcha and extra mochi for free! Love that especially in this economy. Honestly can't go wrong with any of their drinks! I also love the kale boost tea and iced jasmine matcha :) Note: I haven't been to heytea in a while & it's my first time back after a few months. I've been to several locations for HeyTea and one thing I've noticed is they are pretty consistent. This location has one kiosk which is the only downside cause the two teens in front of me couldn't make up their minds. There is also a QR code to download the app and order that way. You can also accrue points towards rewards this way too. I recommend doing that as it is faster than waiting for the kiosk or in line to order at the counter. Limited seating inside so most people stand outside. Top fave is still the coconut mango boom. Although right now it's not mango season so it's not as sweet as it usually is. Other drinks to get would be the grape or the matcha. The have some seasonal flavors but I haven't tried those yet. Parking could be a bit of a challenge as it is located in a plaza with ranch 99 so it gets busy. I waited about 20 minutes after ordering and it said that was about 80 drinks in front of me. read more
