My newest obsession! I'm so happy they happened a location SJ because it's definitely more convenient for me to drive to compared to their Cupertino/Sunnyvale locations. Tucked in the Rivermark plaza, this location is definitely smaller compared to the Cupertino/Sunnyvale locations. Despite the size, they are very efficient and I've always gotten my drinks within less than 10 minutes regardless of the crowds. Drinks here always hit! My favorite is their Snowy Dancong which is just the right amount of sweetness and they don't skimp on the foam. I've also ordered their White Champaca Matcha which was OK but the floral notes were too fragrant for my preference. Definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys floral flavors though. I've tried other drinks from the other locations but these were the two that I tried from this particular location. read more

Molly tea is always busy so I was not surprised when I came and it was pact. Even when super busy, the workers are pretty organized and got the drinks out in a reasonable time, and they give out cute bags to hold the drinks and were giving out random prizes to people with their order to celebrate the World Cup (I got a cute magnet bottle opener). Jasmine MT is the most popular but I actually like the Oolong MT better just cause it is more sweet and flavorful while the Jasmine is more floral and light. Highly recommend trying it out if you love deep tea flavors! Overall would always be down to go back to Molly tea, I haven't been to a location I didn't like :) read more

What a unique and delightful experience! We ordered ahead and walked in through the entrance enjoyed the delicious aromas, grabbed our Snowy Gardenia Tea and walked out. Great customer service with a bright and clean ambiance. The tea was so floral and like nothing we have tried before. The jasmine whipped cream and toasted pecans were amazing. Totally recommend. I love this new Molly Tea location! Finally one that's closer to North San Jose & Milpitas and the location is great with lots of parking, much better than the others. It's super clean and new inside, staff are nice and work super quick to get your drinks and the layout feels well done where even if it's packed, the flow of people coming in and out is well thought out. I haven't tried a drink on the menu I didn't like, but my favorites are the Snowy Jasmine, Jasmine Matcha, Pistachio Coconut, and Peach Oolong Milk Tea. Really addicted to their drinks because I just keep coming back for more and more. Can't recommend this spot enough! read more

A new Molly Tea location located in the Rivermark Plaza that is closer to me. I love it. The parking is way better here than at their Sunnyvale location. Still a very popular place. The interior is simple with a few tables to sit at. Also a few outside as well. The service was quick and efficient to be able to quickly turn out the drink orders. This was my first time at Molly Tea! I've heard and seen about it everywhere; but I've never made the effort to try since I don't typically drink similar stuff. However, it was a hot day and I just really wanted something refreshing! I believe this location is recently opened? It was busy but no line when I went. A lot of drinks were sold out. We ordered the Jasmine tea and the champaca matcha. It was soooo yummy. They had a special deal going around (ended on 5/31), where I was able to get a Santa Clara exclusive pin and a satchet! The jasmine scent is sooooo good! I love it sooo much! I would definitely go out my way to just buy the jasmine scented satchet. Anyways, I really enjoyed my experience at this location and the drinks were delicious! I understand all the hype, and will come back whenever I feel like going out for a bev!! read more

They're still in their soft opening phase at the moment but glad that they're opening up more locations across the Bay Area! This location is somewhat small on the inside but there's plenty of places to sit and sip outside and around the tea shop. It's located in a somewhat busy plaza but there's ample parking if you're willing to walk. The shop is located just outside the library. I came 2x during the grand opening bc BOGO is too good of a deal to miss out on! My go two are the Snowy Jasmine & Premium Jasmine milk tea. It's best with their recommended sweetness and less ice. WOW! I attended the soft opening of Molly Tea and it was buzzing with people and energy! There was a line out the door, but the staff kept things moving. Someone greets you inside and takes your order. There are so many teas and options to choose from! I went with the Snowy Jasmine (ICED) and it was SO GOOD. Went today for their grand opening on 05/22/26! I got into line around 10am and by the time they opened at 11am....I was in my car with my BOGO by 12pm. So all in all, waited 2 hours for their BOGO and awesome cool Santa Clara pin. You also get to draw out a raffle which was nice! You could win tablets etc but I got 50% off a second drink coupon lol . The drinks are good! Definitely not my first time having Molly Tea but I wanted to check out this particular location since it is closer to my home. And much much more parking than Sunnyvale or Cupertino location!!! Yay!!! So you get to order any drink and get a free drink only from the Floral Fresh Milk Menu side. I got the Pistachio White Champaca Coconut at 70% sweet and less ice and it was PERFECT! loved the refreshing taste!!! And the free drink was my husband's White Champaca Oolong Milk Tea also less ice and 70% sweet. His drink was very mild and not that sweet. Was also really milky to me ..which I don't prefer. New Molly Tea location just opened in San Jose! I was having lunch at the Rivermark Plaza and saw that Molly Tea was coincidentally having their grand opening the same day I was there! I ordered via Hungry Panda to avoid the line. There was a Hungry Panda booth there and they assisted me with placing my order through Molly Tea. In 10 minutes, I received my drink and didn't have to wait in line. It was a festive grand opening and there were merch giveaways as well. I ordered the jasmine milk tea and it was great! I did notice the 100% sweetness here was a tad bit sweeter than the other locations but still a great drink nonetheless. Props to Molly Tea for opening up in this plaza since there is plentiful parking and people residing in San Jose do not have to drive too far to Sunnyvale or Cupertino for Molly Tea now. read more

I have always been a molly tea fan because the drinks are always great flavor wise and the service is always super efficient. This location is also perfect because there is a ton of good parking available (blesssss). The store is also very spacious with tons of seating options too. Welcome Molly Tea to San Jose! It's exciting to have this location of Molly Tea, especially for folks in North San Jose, Berryessa, and Milpitas. Located in the Rivermark plaza, you'll find plenty of parking around. We came during the grand opening when they were having their buy one get one special. I anticipated there'd be a line given their promo. We arrived around 8:20 pm and there was about a 20 minute line. I appreciate the efficiency of the location with three people taking orders and a good flow of an assembly line for making drinks. Although the screen said it would be about 30 minutes for our drinks, it only took 10 minutes. I ordered the premium jasmine brewed tea as well as the jasmine milk tea. Both are recommended at 70% sweetness but I got mine with 50%. I felt this to be a good level of sweetness for me since I generally like my milk teas at 25/30% sweetness at other boba spots. Their cups are smaller than the standard boba spot cup, but their tea quality is so good - especially their jasmine. If you're a jasmine tea lover, their tea is so fragrant and floral. The milk tea is creamy and light. The reason for docking one star is because of the ice. We opted for light ice since we were planning to drink these the next day and didn't want it to get watered down too much. We scooped out the ice at home and were surprised at how much ice they put in for light ice. Once taking the ice out, we were left with only half the drink. Just a precaution that light ice is quite a bit of ice. Other than that, tea is great and the service was friendly and efficient! read more

I'm genuinely obsessed with this place. I used to think there was no way a tea shop could live up to the hype, but after trying the Matcha Jasmine cheese foam, I can't stop thinking about it. Everything I've had here has been so good. Even the straws somehow make the experience better l they slow me down because I tend to drink way too fast. The grand opening was very busy, which is entirely understandable. It's exciting to have a new Molly Tea in the area as well. The wait in line after doors opened was ~1 hour, and the wait for drinks ~40 minutes, which I'm certain will only be true for the grand opening. One of the reasons for this rush are, of course, the Grand Opening deals, including the Buy 1 Get 1 from their Floral Fresh Milk Tea series and some other freebies/activities for early customers. The drinks are good! I think that they suit the Molly Tea standard, and I could really taste the strong tea flavor that I like. The sweetness also feels appropriate for the level I ordered. The reason for the low rating is because, when asked about the emblem/pin (listed as being available to the first 200 customers, of whom we were), the employees stated it was only available for the soft opening. This is confusing, as other reviewers posted today about receiving their pins during the Grand Opening. Honestly, it's disappointing that one of the Grand Opening deals that influenced our decision to wait for 2+ hours was either improperly communicated to the staff or otherwise lost in translation. I still think this is a good place to go if you like good milk tea, but I am frustrated enough by the disorganization today that I don't know if I will personally be back. read more

this molly tea location is in a nice spot near the uni and has ample street parking nearby. the drinks are on par with other mollys, strong floral teas with an emphasis on milk tea over fruity/boba teas. the inside can get cramped and crowded and wait times can get up there. stick around tho bc they lost our drinks LOL! after waiting a while they had to remake them bc someone likely took our order, so keep an eye on the tvs and order numbers! read more

Sipping che through a straw definitely beats spooning it. Make sure to thoroughly mix the drink and crush up the ice a bit before indulging. On my first visit I didn't notice the kiosk and ordered with the cashier so I was confused at how I would know when my order is ready because I didn't get a number or a receipt, but I later noticed the screens displaying that information on the wall. I'm a big fan of pandan jelly. The red pearls can be good but can sometimes have a bit of a crunchy chew in the center. Young coconut has a good flavor but a texture that isn't my favorite. I did not like the jackfruit in the Ha Long Sunset, but the flavor wasn't strong enough to ruin the whole dessert. I feel like che is a dessert that is not necessarily expensive or time consuming to produce, and the milk tea/fruit tea prices here are definitely on the pricey end given their component ingredients. Yes I would revisit, especially when I need dessert late, but I feel that making che at home could be the cost-effective alternative.

The poke kind of reminded me of Basa Seafood in SF, which I wasn't a fan of, and Basa is also known for cheaper prices. MoDo only offers tuna poke and I am a salmon girly. I'm not sure if they plan to expand their selections, but if you wish to try their poke bowls, get the half n half. BTW, I believe staff should be mindful of the rice temperature. My friend visited on a BOGO day and said her bowl was super hot. By the time she arrived home, some of the poke was half-cooked. I also came on a BOGO day but did not experience this.
