Sooo happy Da Vien is finally in the Bay Area! I always go whenever I'm in Orange County. Parking at this location is pretty hectic since it's in a plaza with a lot of other popular restaurants. Drinks are very yummy and mobile ordering is super convenient! The only cons is that there's no way to manage your order. You simply have to rely on the worker to yell out your name at the front. The poor worker probably loses their voice by the end of his shift for constantly yelling names out all day. But this is difficult when the cafe is already filled with people waiting inside so there's really no place to stand/ sit and wait. Can you guys please invest in a digital board that shows what order they're working on or include the tracking it in the text confirmations/ receipts. If you're looking for legit, strong Vietnamese coffee, this is your place. My absolute favorite is the marble drip -- I get it at 50% sweet and 100% strong, and it hits every single time. My second go-to is the banana latte, which is also amazing. This place just does it right. I love everything about Da Vien and the only downside is that it's not closer to me -- I'd be here all the time if it were. The banana matcha latte had sweet banana creams at the bottom. Even without added sugar, the drink was slightly sweet from the banana cream. I wish the matcha were stronger though. They also offered coffee/matcha/latte with many options of creamy toppings such as Ube cream and Strawberry cream. Would love to give them a try next time! Placed a pick up order via the Da Vien app on Memorial Day and asked my husband to pick up. We ordered 3 drinks and I believe the pick up time was asap 10 minutes from time the order was placed. My husband arrived about 5 minutes after the drinks should have been ready but he said they weren't ready upon arrival. The line was out the door and it's a tough lot to find parking in. Understandable for the few extra minutes of waiting. I don't think he waited more than 10 minutes to get the drinks though. The drinks we got were the banana latte, ube matcha latte with oat milk and the egg cream coffee. The ube matcha latte was perfect for me. I didn't make any adjustments besides changing to oat milk and it was just the right sweetness and the ube flavor was great. I got the banana latte for my dad. I'm not a big fan of banana flavored things but this was really good. My dad said he really enjoyed the banana flavor, and he's usually a tough critic! Their coffee here is so strong but absolutely delicious and my go to has been the Strawberry Cream Oat Latte (which I think happens to be a new drink). I love that its oat milk based and even the strawberry cream on top is dairy free. It's strong, bold and you get the sweetness and creaminess from the strawberry cream. Another one of my favorites is the Einspanner Cream Coffee which is their bold Vietnamese coffee topped with Einspanner cream and cocoa powder. I decided to go for a 30% sweetness and regular ice. She asked me if I was a rewards member I said no it's my first time and she asked if I wanted to sign up. I said yes and she asked for my number and name and I got points for my purchase. I waited a short wait and I heard my name grabbed my drink and I was on my way. Snapped some quick pictures and took a sip. The flavor of the coffee broke through the top layer of whipped topping and it was a delicious drink. The coffee was smooth and not hard to drink and enjoy and still maintaining its strength. The inside felt small because there were so many people already inside.
