Tried this place for the first time and it was really solid. I got the grilled pork banh mi and the bread was fresh and crispy without being too hard. A friend invited me here to study and I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem! They have a huge selection of drinks of authentic and unique Asian flavors on their menu. Bahn mi are a good size, the large is quite big and could be two smallish meals. The viet coffee is good and strong. To preface this review, I'm pretty critical of my drinks, and matcha specifically. So I like to compare my matcha go-tos between different cafes for my ratings/reviews. Aesthetically, the drinks looked good and the inside of the cafe was welcoming. We got the Oreo Coffee and Matcha with Pandan Foam. The coffee tasted pretty good, but we added 2 extra shots and it didn't taste as strong as we were expecting. Still good though (3 stars). The pandan foam was pretty good itself, but I feel like the matcha could've been stronger. We selected the "stronger matcha" option and although the color looked good, the matcha taste wasn't coming through as strong (3 stars). I think we'll come back again and try more of their coffee drinks for sure, but I'm not sure for the matcha. I think I'd still be down but maybe try a different foam. The place is actually quite spacious with high ceilings and a good amount of seating. I do think that the workers are trying their best to keep up with soft opening demand, but be ready to wait! Nice drinks! I came across Brew and Banh Mi on social media and was intrigued by their large menu. They have milk teas, coffees, smoothies and other savory items for sale. They're open early and late, making it a reliable place to get late-night beverages. It's located at a gas station and seems unsuspecting but the vibe and interior are really nice. There's decent amounts of seating if you feel like working or studying here. I had the durian avocado smoothie and their signature milk tea. Both were good and not very sweet even at regular sweetness. The smoothie in particular was very good and blended well. I hate smoothies that are chunky or icy, so this was definitely a plus. The prices seem fair and they have discounts and offers at certain tjmes of day. Tablet ordering is available. read more
