I had a great great time at Nabi Cat Cafe. We made reservations online for 10am (opening) on a Saturday. Parking is street, so I recommend coming early to grab parking! We found parking couple streets away. We were able to get checked in quickly (make sure you have the signed waiver ahead of time). They gave us shoe covers to wear. Since it was in the morning, many of the cats were up and active! They were all super sweet, and the staff member were very knowledgeable about all. Inside was super cute, with lots of toys, mats, sleeping pads, etc! They take our drink orders inside. We got the Korean Pear espresso tonic and green grape ade. Drinks were very refreshing. It's $28 per person for an hour (on the weekends) with the cats, and a drink is included in the price. On the outside, it seems like a smaller space, but once you walk in, you realize how much space they have. They have a downstairs and upstairs loft for the cats to roam. Super cozy cat café with cute decor! My friend and I had such a relaxing time playing with and petting the cats. We visited on a weekend morning and got to meet a good mix of very active and sleepy cats. I fell in love with one of the cuddly kittens. This place is both an incredible cat sanctuary & visiting center AND a delicious cafe. First the drinks. Over two visits I've tried both the (hot) cookies butter chai (sweet and spiced but not overpowering) and the (iced) tiramisu drink (rich and bold and comes with a lady finger to dip into the cream!) and both have been incredible. They have several other unique drinks on their menu like cherry pie matcha that I need to go back to try. I also had a bite of their matcha white chocolate cookie and it was a perfect balance of bitter and sweet and chewy! I also tried their cat visiting experience. They host cats from local shelters (so they're all adoptable) and were all 2-6 month old kittens/teenagers. There were about 9(?) cats total spread over two floors with lots of hang spots (for both cats and humans) and toys to play with. The cats were soooo cute obviously but I also want to call out how well managed they were and how caring the staff were. I've only been to one other cat cafe (a pop-up in Stanford mall) and that prior one was mismanaged with too many people at once, not reinforcement of not bothering/picking up the cats, and staff who didn't care or don't know what to do. New cafe that opened up right across from my chiro clinic! I discovered this treasure find while walking my dog before my chiro session just a few months ago, looks like this Korean cat cafe just opened in the past half year. The front of the cafe is separate from the back, two-floor room where you can actually play with kitties that are up for adoption and getting their fair share of socialization from people coming in to see them. Reservations to see the kitties are not required but are highly recommended, as the owners do a great job of protecting the cats' best interest and to ensure they are not scared of having too many people in what they call their home (at least for the time being until they find their forever home). I think this is a great concept to help cats find their forever homes, while also letting people who are unable to keep pets at home get their fix of pet therapy. All the kitties are quite social and playful (it helps that they are mostly under 1-2 years old!). When you make an appointment to go see the kitties, you pay a fee to go see them but in return, you get a drink to go in with. The time allotted to play with the cats is one hour with the fee you pay. If you choose not to visit the cats, you can just order a drink and some delicious sweet treats at the front and enjoy on the go or in the small seating area in the front of the shop and the one table outside of the shop on the sidewalk as well. Honestly, I'm quite impressed by all of their espresso drinks, their Yakgwa Latte is a must try and their Pear Espresso Tonic is SO refreshing, it's a must to combat the South Bay summer heat! I've been to this cafe multiple times, but have only made an appointment to hang out with the cats once. It was a nice experience and all of the cats were friendly and adoptable. However, don't assume all of the cats will interact with you. That's just how cats are lol! They did have a range of cats with different personalities and ages. There are toys and scratching posts available and an employee handed out a couple of treats to let us feed the cats. There was also a notebook that gave you more info about the cats if you're interested in adopting. They do have a separate room for their litter boxes on the first level, and it didn't smell at all. The drinks were good. The drink menu is simple and they do offer pastries. They also sell small merch like stickers and socks at the register. There's not a lot of seating or tables available in the cafe section, so this wouldn't be a place to hang out or work from. I've come back for the food and drinks, but I don't think I would make an appointment to hang out with the cats again unless I was serious about adopting a cat. Nabi Cat Cafe is hands down my favorite cat cafe I've ever visited! It is on the pricier side for an hour and a drink, but I genuinely think it's worth it. The cats were so sweet and playful and I was pleasantly surprised and excited when the staff said we were allowed to pick them up and have them on our laps. It felt like such a great way to help the kittens get adopted since you're able to interact with them more and see more of their personalities. At other cat cafes, the cats mostly just slept or played with toys in the distance, so this was a refreshing change. I also really liked the decorations. When you book your kitty play time you can reserve 60 minutes at a time given capacity. Up to 8 people are allowed in the back at a time but if you're just there for the cafe and not the cats I think you're fine. Just don't expect to be able to play with the kittens without a reservation. The reservation itself comes with a cafe drink so I got a strawberry matcha latte with almond milk and my friend got the Jeju Matcha Latte. I thought my drink was fine. I was also feeling a bit peckish so I tried the chocolate chip cookie and matcha macadamia white chocolate cookie, which were not included with the reservation btw! Those cookies were yummy and sweet. Before entering the kitty room the people in my time slot were instructed to remove their shoes and wear provided house slippers. I came with a walker but I was able to ask for shoe socks they willingly gave to me. Then, after applying hand sanitizer, you're allowed to play with the kitties to your heart's content for the hour. There are toys you can play with the kitties so I spent a good 10 minutes playing cat and mouse with the fake mouse toy. Some of the cats were more energetic and social than others but that is to be expected with cats. I was pleasantly surprised at how receptive some of the cats were to pets. One kitty kept clawing at the side of my walker so I opened up the seat and carried him inside the basket. He proceeded to play with the strap on the inside and cuddled inside the basket for a while. The cats all have different personalities and energy levels so I definitely recommend flipping through the binder on the ground floor next to the stairs to read about the cats in the cat room and seeing what the vibes are. NOTE: The store owners usually do not take walk-ins for meeting the cats due to limited capacity. I saw a mom walk in with her toddler daughter asking if she could play with the cats but they were all booked on that Saturday :(. Definitely I would recommend reserving your cat time on their website. NOTE #2: Street Parking only out in front of a tiny block. I got lucky and found a giant spot for the SUV but I wouldn't count on finding parking so easily on a busy day. Very cute cat cafe and great drinks! My experience was great. Check in was smooth and the employee helping my group was very nice and knowledgable. Although the space was small, the decor was cute and cozy. My favorite part was finding all the cats. Definitely a unique and fun experience. Time flies when you're in here! read more
