You order your matcha from the kiosk. Service is pretty fast tbh. My go to drink is the matcha crème brûlée and I like it personally. However, I've noticed that the brûlée can seem a bit chunky when you're sipping the drink? I've gone to this location and the Cupertino and the Cupertino one is definitely slightly better hence the 4 stars. But you can't go wrong coming here if you don't want to drive to Cupertino for the drinks. It'll still be fine. I will say, the shop is pretty spacious compared to the Cupertino location. There's a bench and table for you to sit. In Cupertino, you'll mostly wait outside because of how crowded it can get. Overall, still good!
I came here on a Saturday afternoon, and the line was to right about the door. It moved pretty quickly, about less than 10 minutes to the kiosk. I love that you can get an extra matcha shot for free here! It took about another 10 minutes for them to finish my drink. Definitely not a bad wait, as I've had to wait for a total of an hour at their peak popularity before. Their strawberry matcha latte is decently good. The matcha is a bit astringent with a bitter note, but the strawberry complimented the flavors well. I honestly wouldn't say this is the best matcha quality I've had. The star here is really their crème brûlée matcha hurricane though--I loved how the matcha slush blended with the creamy crème brûlée! Perfect amount of sweetness as well. I think they've removed some of the tables inside since I've lasted been here. It's more of a pick up and go location, instead of sit-down. Parking can be a pain sometimes in that plaza, so what I like to do is park in the adjacent lot and walk over.
This was my very first time at this location. We were greeted by this homeless dude near the front of the place. We felt extremely safe knowing that there was a private security (homeless dude), an amenity that other Izumi Matcha locations don't provide. I got my usual, the hibiscus yuzu and the matcha creme brûlée. It was super good! Refreshing for the herbal drink and smooth and not too overly sweet for the matcha drink. Parking sucks so keep that in mind though.

Matcha Creme Brûlée is must for the sugar lovers, anything matcha is obviously a great choice here. Coming here several times during peak hours and off hours, Izumi Matcha is a great alternative location to go to vs. their other location in Cupertino when it comes to getting some great quality matcha drinks here. They should have all that they offer compared to their Cupertino location and their creme brûlée matcha swirl is a fan favorite here (definitely recommend it for first timers and those who like their drinks on the sweeter side). I've had their honey matcha and hojicha drinks here before too and you can tell the matcha they use is fresh due to the slight bitterness you sometimes get. Lines can be long at time but if you come at off hours, I've seen instances where it was literally 2 people inside & no wait time at all. Staff are friendly and never had any issue with anyone inside making the drinks relatively quick. I'll recommend Izumi Matcha as one of the few drink spots in this packed plaza to choose from and definitely be back for more.
Yuzu Matcha Tea 5/5: Very refreshing. I was able to order my drink with an extra shot of matcha free of charge. It helped to curb the sweetness. Kuro Hojicha Latte 4.5/5: Pretty good nutty flavor. Not too sweet. Rich and creamy. The store is on the smaller side. There's not much seating. The parking lot is of decent size, but tends to fill up quickly given the amount of good eats in the plaza. There's like 5 other drink spots in the plaza, so don't be deterred if you see a longer line out front (it could be for the store next door).
Great quality matcha! You can definitely tell by how vibrant and green the color is. They have a lot of unique matcha options to choose from. I always get the Crème Brûlée Matcha Swirl and definitely recommend it. It's really creamy and smooth and I don't think anywhere else makes it as good as Izumi. The line may always look long but the wait is never bad at all. I've always gotten my drinks in less than 15 min of being at the shop. The store is definitely just a quick matcha run instead of a hang spot because of it not having too many chairs, but it's in a great location to explore!
Always a thirst-quenching time at Izumi! This location has definitely gotten busier this past year, but coming on a weekday during opening hours usually helps avoid the line. Parking is usually busy on weekends in the lot itself, but there's also street parking and spots in the Target lot across the street. Ordering is on a singular kiosk to avoid too many drinks being ordered and not enough labor to make them. This can cause the line to be long at times, so allot some time for this. The storefront is also quite small, with one table and a bench area along the wall. The Silver Creek location also occasionally has a pungent smell... The cheese mousse matcha and creme brûlée matcha swirl are always a hit for me. The cheese mousse is always super fluffy and brings a great salty touch to the sweet matcha. The crème brûlée matcha is a viral sensation for a reason! The flavor deliciously blends into the high quality of matcha, and not to mention super creamy. Definitely one of the top spots in an area with lots of matcha spots - worth the wait!
Prefer this Izumi compared to the Cupertino location. A few downsides to this location is mostly due to the plaza, which can be difficult to find parking and the line is usually out the door. Their business hours open later than most, so not really a spot to pick up from for early mornings before work. Ordering at the kiosk is the main reason for the line out the door, but Izumi can keep up with putting out drink orders. Got the Cheese Mousse Green Tea, as I wasn't in a sweet matcha kind of mood. Their sweetness level is perfect, tea is vibrantly green and their sea salt mousse was a perfect contrast and rich, cheesy texture on top of a refreshing matcha. I would say this is a great balance of flavors and textures in one drink. The space is small but there is a few tables to enjoy your drink if you wish and some benches as well.

I like how their drinks aren't too sweet, and how quick service typically is! Ordering is done on the kiosk like the other location. This location definitely feels a little more outdated, and the parking situation can be a hit or miss since it's such a busy plaza.
I've seen Izumi Matcha all over social media lately & everyone seems to rave about it. I went on a Sunday morning and the wait wasn't bad at all, around 10 minutes. They have a self order kiosk, so you just place your order on the tablet, pay, & wait for your number to be called. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha Latte with oat milk, 50% sweet. The drink itself was okay ; the matcha had a slight grittiness to it, tasted a bit watered down. Not the highest quality, but for the $7 price point, it's decent. There's some seating inside, which is nice. Parking will be tricky, the plaza gets really packed. If I come visit another time would try their Crème Brûlée Matcha Swirl since that seems to be the crowd favorite and what I've seen most people get.
Visited for the weekend so came here twice. The first time ordering took a while since they were fixing the kiosk and ended up taking the orders once a line started forming. The second the kiosk kept freezing so took a little a while to order since we also had to wait for the kiosk to restart. Other than that getting the drinks were pretty fast. I got the matcha lychee and it's so good!! I thought it was perfect especially since my favorite is lychee and matcha. Also the color of the matcha was very promising!! I thought it could have been sweeter but my cousins thought the sweetness was perfect so just a preference on sweetness!! I would recommend this place for your matcha runs!! My cousins got the creme brûlée matcha swirl and I think the other was the cheese mouse matcha? They really love the creme brûlée matcha swirl but I thought it was ok! I want to come back to try the white peach matcha!!
I got super lucky today because 1) there was no line (completely unheard of at 3:30pm on a Friday after the Silver Creek kids finish school) and 2) they had matcha powder in stock. I hope this TikTok matcha trend DIES permanently so I don't have to keep competing with people who made fun of me for liking matcha in middle school :( But anyWHO, I'm excited to try my brand new Okane no Hana ceremonial grade matcha powder when I get home :) Oh, and the Cheese Foam Matcha Tea was good too. It's now $7.75 w/o tip like damn take my whole card I guess (*´ー｀*)

Get ready to wait, this place is popular for a reason. Izumi is one of my main go-tos for matcha. Their drinks strike a good balance of highlighting the natural, grassy/earthy taste of matcha without it being too sweet. Although my go-to is the honey matcha latte, you can honestly just throw a dart and be pleasantly surprised each time (I've done this about 5 times already). This time, I got the yuzu matcha tea. SUPER REFRESHING! Tart, citrusy and with the earthy matcha, the drink was a great pick me up. I recommend getting this if you can't have whole milk and wanna try something new! My partner got the soft serve and the flavor of the matcha cuts through very well- you won't be disappointed if you're a matcha lover. The line is long, but our orders always come out fairly quickly (around 10 minutes) after we order. I think it's long because others are debating what to pick at the kiosk. But alas, good luck finding parking! My partner and I always have to park on the street side of the plaza and walk over because we can never get a spot. read more

We went on Friday at 4 pm and it wasn't busy at all so we got our drinks pretty fast. The store was almost empty at this point. The store looked kind of dead and did not have a lot of tables + seatings except the long bench. There's plenty of parking spaces since it's in a plaza. We got 2 of the creme brulee matcha swirl due to the hype of this drink. The cream was extremely thick and just for my preference, it was too much. The matcha was not as strong to balance the sweetness and decadency of the cream. We ended up letting it melt a bit so we can drink the matcha without having to eat chunks of the cream. If you like your matcha thick, then I recommend this drink! It was just not up my alley unfortunately. read more

(I was too lazy to make one at home myself.) I'm a purist so I adore just straight matcha. That wasn't an option here, so I decided to try the honey one. I figured they are known for matcha and I don't mind a tiny bit of sweetness, so this should be fine. I was wrong. The honey was very overwhelming for me. So much so, it took away from what I love about matcha - the delicate grassy notes, slight bitterness, etc. I ended up adding another scoop or two of matcha I had at home to cut into the sweetness. Drinks: Classic Honey Matcha Latte (8/10) - prominent matcha flavor, smooth texture, and not too sweet! good size too Strawberry Matcha Latter (8/10) - strong matcha flavor with nice mix of strawberry sweetness that wasn't overpowering Service: Ordered on a kiosk and waited! Ambiance: Cute store with only outdoor seating at this plaza/area. Cutely decorated and bright inside. Also super popular so it can get pretty lively when busy. read more

i love going here for the hojicha tea! hojicha is a green tea with a distinctive nutty, earthy and roasted flavor. i find it refreshing and subtly sharp. izumi matcha is one of the few places to offer it so it's my go to when i'm in the area. there's seating and benches along the wall but it's more for waiting or chilling for a second (especially since the line can get super long) and not so much for hanging out. you can order at the kiosk and venmo payments are accepted. disclaimer: this parking lot can be a pain to navigate with so many cars and few spots during peak hours. i've had to circle around a couple times and even park on the street. read more

We came here after lunch and wanted something that would satisfy our sweet tooth but wasn't too sweet. That's when matcha came to place and it was perfect. We wanted some ice cream and the hurricane drink sounded delicious. We got both and wow, the drink is a must try. Both are delicious and perfect for a little snack or dessert. read more

It's pretty good for the bay. I think I've been spoiled with homemade and different regions. Service is on a Kisoki and they get out order pretty face. They do get pretty crowded as well. It's worth a try. read more
One of my favorite matcha spots! The creme brûlée matcha swirl is one of their most popular drinks and for good reason! It's delicious and you get those little creme brûlée pieces. I've tried the strawberry matcha latte and it's pretty good too. Not the best I've had but it's good. They have two milk options: whole milk, and oat. I only wish they had almond milk. Both locations are in busy plazas and parking can be a little difficult. The silver creek location is a little less busy than the Cupertino one. I think I've waited in line for about 15 minutes vs 30 at the other one. Your way in line longer than you'll wait for your drink. It comes out pretty fast. read more
DO NOT GET THE KURO SESAME HOJICHA LATTE! Get anything else but the Kuro Hojicha latte! First time trying this place and it was tasty (at least most of it)! I got the "STRAWBERRY YUZU MATCHA TEA" and it was refreshing and perfect sweetness-I ordered it regular sweet and 50% ice. I also tried some of the matcha ice cream that my cousin ordered and really liked it as well. My other cousin ordered the "KURO SESAME HOJICHA LATTE" and that was a HARD HARD PASS. DO NOT GET THIS, you've been warned. He's from Chicago and was looking forward to trying the hojicha drinks down here after he tried the flavor in the past and really liked it-- but we would not recommend this flavor at all from here; it's hard to describe but it tastes like dirt is the best we could describe it. I don't think I would be back if that was the only drink I tried from here. Everything else here was pretty good that we tried besides the KURO SESAME HOJICHA LATTE! Would be back to try the other drinks/ice creams! Note: you self order at the machines and they make the drinks once it pops up on their system that your order is in Parking is always crowded in the area but many spots to park at since it's shared with other stores. read more
I tried going to the Cupertino location the day before, but the line was filled with dozens of people and was a bit too close to closing time for me to lineup. Luckily, I went to the San Jose location on a midday weekend and only had a few people in front of me in line! I ordered their classic Matcha Latte while my friend tried their Strawberry Matcha Latte. My latte that I ordered had a strong matcha taste and woke me up in a good way! I like their matcha to milk ratio. There were several tables and benches around the boba place, and my friend and I stood around the tables for a bit before deciding to enjoy our drinks in the plaza outside. I've heard a lot of hype about this place if you're looking for quality matcha. I had the matcha tea which had water instead of milk. I personally felt like the matcha was way too chalky to enjoy it as a tea instead of a latte. That's matcha did taste quality though so I'd come back to try it as a latte. Beware of the line! We came about 30-40 minutes before closing time and the picture shows how busy it was. I wouldn't recommend sitting inside because it's packed with people. I wanted to buy matcha powder to take home, but they were unfortunately all sold out. Service was okay. You order at a screen and then they'll call out your order. Very little interaction with the staff to call it service. read more

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. There was a line which extended out through the front door. There matcha is simply the best quality. I went for a Creme brulee matcha swirl, which was an excellent drink. I also went for a matcha soft serve with extra matcha powder sprinkled on top. That was yum. Most of the folks were having a matcha drink. At that time I was the only perso who took a soft serve. And it was totally worth it. read more

Tried Izumi Matcha and got the Strawberry Yuzu Matcha Tea. It was worth the hype! The drink had the perfect level of sweetness, and the yuzu added a refreshing citrusy kick that paired beautifully with the rich matcha flavor. The wait was definitely on the longer side, but the quality of the matcha makes it worth it. You can tell they use high-grade ingredients and take care in how each drink is made. read more

I came here on a Sunday afternoon to try their matcha. I've been hearing so much about the matcha here and been meaning to try it for a while! The plaza is pretty busy and can be hard finding a parking. When I came, there was a bit of a line, but it moved pretty quickly! I ordered the Classic Honey Matcha Latte (with oat milk sub) and less sweet and 35% (less) ice. I loved my Matcha Latte! The sweetness was very subtle, which emphasized the slight bitterness from the matcha, but if you want something sweeter, I recommend getting the regular sweetness option. You can really taste the higher quality of the matcha, as it was very smooth and creamy in flavor! I also love that they offer milk, sugar and ice options here! There's even an option to add an extra shot of matcha! I took my drink to go, but the ambiance looked lively but one thing to note is that there was limited place to sit. Trying to understand the calories for the strawberry matcha latte (less sweet). May i ask approximate how many oz of milk is being used? also sugar? I saw online recipe for honey matcha, it needs 12oz milk. even with iced?

We do sell the Ube pints in the San Jose location. It should be on the kiosk.
Do you guys sell matcha whisks here?
Hi Lanette. We do sell whisks at both locations. The Cupertino location has more choices. We carry the basic whisk at the San Jose location.
Can I add boba to the cream brûlée matcha drink?
Yes, you can add boba to the creme brulee matcha drink. Note that boba is only available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Is dine in available now or still take out only?
Hi. There is a row of benches you can sit at and eat if you would like, but no tables. Basically still takeout.

Hi Reine. At this time, no indoor seating is offered. We want to make sure we provide as safe of an environment as possible for both the customer and employees. We will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation.

Hi Rohit. Yes, all the ice cream served is egg free.
Is there any nutritional info available for the items? In particular, # of calories (roughly) for a cream cheese matcha drink.
Hi Eduardo. Apologies for the delayed response. We do not have nutritional information available. The cream cheese match drink should be roughly 180 calories per drink.
