Drinks were very unique and delicious! The dirty taro was the perfect blend of cold brew and taro, the thai-ra-misu mostly tasted like thai and not much tiramisu (still good though), and the biscoff matcha latte was super sweet (as expected and yummy). There was plenty of seating so it's a nice place to study or hang out. Very clean space. Parking was easy. There were two self-check out spots so I didn't interact much with the employees. I would definitely come again to try to the Saigon Biscoff or the food. Ordered Thai-Ra-Misu $8.50 Dirty Taro $8.20
The cafe itself is very modern and clean. Walking in felt very inviting. There are 2 kiosks available to order from and the menu has a pretty large selection: teas, coffee, matchas, and non-caffeinated options PLUS sandwiches, bagels, and snacks. I ended up ordering 2 drinks and 2 snacks: the Biscoff Latte, Insomnia Latte, Signature BLT, and Honey Garlic Bagel. The drinks were nothing special. I personally felt like the drinks were way too milky/creamy so you don't get to taste any of the matcha or coffee. The food was also okay - not bad but not great. I was more dissatisfied with the Honey Garlic Bagel, since that dish was the reason I wanted to come in the first place. The bagel was too sweet, coming off more like a dessert rather than a savory bagel. The food also took 20 minutes to come out which seems a little unreasonable for a BLT and bagel... Overall, the place itself is cute. The drinks and food weren't bad, but I wouldn't come back.
I really liked how this cafe offers a variety of different drinks and snacks. From coffee, tea, matcha, and smoothies, there's a drink for everyone. The drinks on their menu are also pretty unique. We ordered the mango peach tea, banana matcha latte, and pandan honeydew drink. We weren't a fan of the mango peach tea but the other two drinks were good. The banana cream in the banana matcha latte was super smooth and mixed perfectly into the matcha. For the pandan honeydew drink, the drink itself has a light honeydew flavor and the jelly is pandan flavored. The garlic butter fries were thin and crispy which is how I like my fries. They also had a variety of sauces to choose from but I wish they included ketchup as one of the options cause I'm basic.

Plenty of parking in the large public retail parking lots. I had a small iced Vietamericano plain coffee, no sugar, no cream, no additives. It turned out pretty good. Menu had good variety of beverages and Vietnamese bites along with sando sandwiches and more. Cool. Lighting is good. Not bad at all for an early coffee stop. Plenty of non-caffeinated beverages and items at the fridge display area. Feels like a good spot. Vegetarian eggrolls were too droopy oily for me though. Overall, good place to rest.

8.7/10 Ordered the Banana Matcha Latte and it was good! The matcha flavor was definitely there, especially at the bottom of the drink. I think if it was shaken a little more beforehand, the flavors would have blended even better. The banana milk was a great addition and gave it a smooth, creamy sweetness without overpowering the matcha. The vanilla cookies on top were a nice touch they made the drink look aesthetic and paired perfectly with the foam. Overall, I really enjoyed the flavor combination and would definitely order it again. Service was fast and friendly, the ambiance was very nice, and it was a great spot to relax and enjoy a drink. Definitely worth trying!
We were already in the area so decided to stop by for a drink before heading home. The cafe is in a plaza off the 101. It's small and cozy, and actually had a steady flow of customers at 3pm on a Sunday. The drink flavors were unique and interesting, but each regular drink is over $7, which I guess is typical for bubble drinks nowadays. I thought the Wendy was good (it's like honeydew and non-dairy milk). My family got the other drinks. Some of the flavorings can taste really sweet and artificial, though. The Chè Thái was really packed with jellies and fruits. Refreshing, but too far of a drive for us to come back.

They have a touch screen to order from but I am sure you can order from the counter. Places decorated with some places to sit inside. The staff was helpful with my two drink orders. Definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Newish late night Vietnamese coffee and matcha store in south SJ. My go to for a late night snack as well since there isn't much options in this side of SJ. Indoor and outdoor seatings. The matcha here is pretty good. Balanced well and decent matcha used. Cookie butter was tasty. The viet coffee came with toppings but would get no toppings next time to taste the viet coffee flavor. The egg roll tasted home cooked with the normal viet style fillings. The aioli was creamy and surprisingly went well with the egg roll. They have great drinks! Watch for the sugar level. Some can be really sweet. I got everything regular sweet but the matcha pumpkin was too sweet. I'd get 50 or 80% sweet. I've tried: Vietnamese coffee and added Banana foam Good kick with a hint of Banana 4.5/5 Banana Matcha, right amount of matcha and Banana sweetness 4.8/5 Vietnamese coffee added strawberry foam. Wow I wish I lived closer because this spot was so good! It completely took me by surprise, especially the food! We had the egg rolls, sweet potato fries, smiley potatoes, honey garlic bagel, pressed waffle w/ pandan & sea salt cream, and the ham & egg sandwich. When I tell you those smiley potatoes are actually so addicting to eat! Super well-seasoned and the perfect light crispy texture and soft potato inside. So good with their house ranch. The honey garlic bagel was also sooo yummy, along with their waffles and sweet potato fries. The cilantro sauce that the egg rolls came with was bomb. The sandwich was just okay to me but I dont really like egg salad. For drinks, we tried a whole bunch but we liked the thairamisu and the peach tea most! The coffees were actually really good and I don't like coffee, but the matchas were just okay (bit too milky). Service was 10/10; quick and super welcoming + attentive. I'm always looking for good coffee shops and had been meaning to try this one. I placed my order using the self serving kiosk at the counter. We got the Vietamericano and Phin drip latte, both of which were really good. For food we got two breakfast bagel. Requested one without bacon. Service was a bit slow even though it was just us and another table. After about 10 mins I had to go nudge them for the bagels. When I finally received them, I saw both of them had bacon in it. They did make the bagel again but it took yet another 10 mins. Overall the bagels were very good specially with the Jalapeño cilantro aioli. read more

Me and my girlfriend went here pretty recently. I ordered a Pumpkin Biscoff milk tea, while my girlfriend order a pandan milk tea. They even let us try thai tea vs the honey dew pandan drink!We also order a honey garlic bagel and cheesy tots. Everything was super delicious, for me personally the bagel was alright not really anything special but everything else was great! and the staff is very welcoming and nice.Its a very modern spot, a bit chilly in here. Went during the soft opening and thought it was just okay, so I never came back. Decided to give it another try and I'm so glad I did! The online ordering and pickup were super easy. The Breakfast Bagel with the cilantro jalapeño sauce was so good the bagel, fluffy egg, thick bacon, had tons of flavor. The Vietnamese Americano with no sugar the house coffee jelly and egg pudding was perfect. Tasty coffee, and the egg pudding added just a touch of sweetness with every other sip. I've been wanting to try this place ever since I saw it on social media and I finally got the chance yesterday for a pop-up bag charm event! It is far south of SJ so I have to go kind of far but I am addicted now!! It's very worth the drive. I came back today and it's nice that they open pretty late even on Sundays. The cilantro jalapeno aioli is delicious! It makes all of their snacks 10x better. I usually see that sauce a lot in socal but not normally here. I love how there's a variety of snacks as well as a few sandwiches/bagels, and a lot of dessert options. The egg sando is very yummy and a good portion. The sweet potato fries also pair perfectly with the aioli sauce. The milk tea isn't anything crazy but it's still good! Ambience is nice and service is fast. There's a good amount of seating but it can get busy on Saturdays. Parking lot also has a lot of spots. read more
Saw this on an episode of Foodies First Feast and had to try it myself. Saturday afternoon was busy! We were able to order quickly on a kiosk but it would've been nice if they had physical menus so you're not scrolling through the kiosk when there is a line. We ordered the strawberry matcha, pandan milk tea, classic Viet coffee, Thai tea, black milk tea, and li hing mui soda. The pandan milk tea was fantastic! Great combo of milk tea and with a fragrant pandan flavor. Place was so busy it's hard to imagine it being a good spot for studying. Definitely great place for drinks. Insomnibar has become one of our favorite new spots in south SJ! They have such a great variety of drinks & snacks and are open till midnight which is awesome because so many coffee / tea places close early. The cafe itself has a decent amount of seating & is located in a plaza area with some other businesses so there's plenty of parking. Even though they've had a consistent flow of orders every time we've gone our drinks have been made pretty quick & they always taste amazing. My favorites are the strawberry cloud matcha, the Thai-ra-misu, & the dirty taro latte. I really love how many options there are bc no matter what I'm in the mood for the have something. read more

Overall: 3.5/5 I always pass by the plaza going home. I finally got curious and decided to try this place out. Inside is spacious and open, plenty seating indoors and outdoors. It had the dark but neon club aesthetic. I ordered on the kiosk where they had a variety of options (snacks and drinks) and a good selection of non-caffeinated drinks. Service was good (accommodating) and quick. Overall, I think the fruity drinks are sweet, milk teas are slightly watered down, and snacks are savory. Boba is also well-cooked, soft, and chewy. Drinks: - Roasted Oolong Milk Tea: you can definitely taste the roast but the tea is either subtle or watered down, honey boba saves it - Black Milk Tea: got it at 100% but it was not sweet, watered down - Pandan Honeydew: sweet, strong in honeydew, but can't taste the pandan - Thai-Ra-Misu: classic Thai tea - Strawberry Matcha: strawberry is subtle and giving Nesquik, can't taste much matcha - Peach Lemongrass Tea: sweet but refreshing, tastes like peach syrup, but I like how it actually has peach bits and jelly Food: - Smileys Mashed Potato Fries: soft and crispy, garlic seasoned - Cheese Tots: crispy, I recommend eating it right away for the desired cheese pull - Honey Garlic Bagel: sweet and savory bagel, cream cheese gave it a good balance, but it can be a but oily read more
Was a decent place to grab a drink and have a nice environment to work in! Wifi was reliable and I had no issues for the whole ~2 hours I was here. The drink itself, however, was nothing too special in my opinion. I got an iced matcha latte with almond milk. There was a lot of ice in the cup, so it felt like there wasn't actually too much liquid in the cup (especially for the drink being a large size and over $8). I did appreciate that they were able to customize the drink to be unsweetened though. read more

Came to try out this spot since their concept is taking the process of making cocktails and different drink concoctions and transferring it to a boba shop which they did pretty well at. All their drinks are pretty nice in terms of presentation and taste. They also have some pretty good food options. The interior gives it an upscale bar vibe so definitely a good place to relax and chat. Service was quick and their food items in particular is fresh, even if it meant waiting a little longer. Drinks: Peach Lemon Grass Li Hing Mui Soda Blueberry Cloud Matcha Lychee Limeade Food: Garlic fries Egg rolls Pressed croissant (waffle one) Dirty Taro (rice crispy) My favorite drink would have to be the Peach Lemon Grass. Li Hing Mui would also be good, but it took me a while to warm up to it, but definitely one of my liked drinks as it a soda. Pressed croissant is my favorite food followed by the egg rolls since the egg rolls were hot and fresh. I do wish they gave maybe two servings of the croissant. read more

I drove 35 minutes for the garlic bagel and it was worth it! However with these gas prices I can't justify coming by often but they know what they're doing with these bagels!! The drinks were okay, unremarkable for a nearly $8 milk tea I would only come back for the bagel. read more

Highly recommend this new tea/coffee shop! I attended their grand opening last weekend which was a blast. They have a nice selection of different drinks to choose from creamy coffees to fruity refreshers. I love how unique their drinks are and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. I tend to like drinks less on the sweet side and they had no problem customizing it to my request. The shop itself is cute and chic which is totally my vibe. Such a nice place with an inventive menu and friendly staff! My bf and I came here to do work and ordered their honeycomb latte with almond milk and less sweetness. Orders are placed directly on the kiosk and then are made very quickly. There are a good amount of tables and outlets! Their menu is extensive with a variety of drink and food options. Food 4/5 Drinks 3/5 Service 5/5 !!! Overall: Drinks are okay, but they shared they are always working on improving their menu items! However two drinks stood out that is a Must try: Thai-ramisu (strong tea and creamy tiramisu topping) & Li Hing Soda (Very refreshing and has that li hing from hawaii! I don't usually drink/like soda, but this was good!) Food was pretty good and better in comparison to the drinks for me! All the food was delicious, and for me, texture is everything. The waffle was crisp, but chewy and soft - the tiramisu dip was really good! Honey garlic bagel (inspired by korean bagels) was solid. BUT THE MOST SURPRISINGLY BEST THING: Silken Tofu (jiggle jiggle) with coconut sauce - hitting that Vietnamese taste palette Lucy,the owner, was so sweet and very personable - making the place very inviting and comfortable. I work near here so decided to check it out. Bonus for me is it is walkable distance. The interior is upscale but a little odd in it has 2 entrances from the side and the front. We ordered from kiosk that is on the side (door facing the parking lot) . Very limited seating so after ordering I ventured to other side to realize jt was the front because it had the cash register. Luckily, It was a nice day so we ended up waiting outside because not much standing room. This was around 1:30pm so it was packed. I got the potted coffee - the cream was nice and thick. Coffee super strong. Although I agree with other reviewers - It was pricey and I didn't even include any add-ons. The staff was friendly and service fast with decent size crowd. read more

Saw this spot on IG so I decided to check it out. It's super spacious with tons of seating inside. We went pretty early so there wasn't a line. Drinks were made fairly quick. It's a little bit on the pricier side but the quality was good. Would order again. Service was also superb. Lots of free parking in this plaza. read more
