I've been coming here for maybe 7yrs? Unsure. With about 75+ visits, I can definitely say this is in my top 5 boba spots. It's really nice to have a spot that delivers superb quality. What I can't say is that this place is consistent. The actual boba is always perfectly soft and chewy. But the make-up of my Matcha Smoothie, which I always get, is often all over the place. Today, it was PERFECT. But even when it isn't, it's still really good. Sometimes the sugar level is off (I like 25%); it's often too low or too high. Sometimes the matcha level is off; or the milk level. I'm not sure why it differs so much. But I always come back. It's like gambling for that high lol. They get it right about 75% of the time. Between the years of 23'-25', it was really off. I ended up moving away so it wasn't a huge deal. But it got to the point where I avoided ordering my usual whenever I was in town. To circumvent disappointment, I would order the other tasty matcha offerings; like the Matcha banana or the Matcha strawberry. They aren't as satisfying for me, but they hit the spot-- more winter-friendly anyway. Thanks to those years, I tried other items that I normally wouldn't, and found them incredibly tasty and well-balanced. As of now, I still love this place. And I wish more people knew about it. We came across this coffee shop and decided to give it try. They offered a wide variety of matcha drinks, Vietnamese style coffee, and boba. We got the pistachio drip coffee and pistachio matcha. The pistachio cream that came with both drinks were super creamy and thick! The drip coffee was very strong and bitter even with 25% sugar. But the bitterness was balanced out by the cream. The matcha was very strong too, which was rare to find in other similar coffee shops. The only limitation was that the ice level was fixed and there was quite a lot of ice in the drinks. The lowest sugar level one could get was 25%. The inside of the coffee shop was modern and had plenty of seats. Parking could be difficult in the plaza during peak hours though. (4/5) - I enjoy the matcha here, the drink is creamy and the house whip tastes like vanilla cold foam. Portion is definitely on the smaller side for the price. $7.95 coconut matcha. (2/5) - tastes like coconut water with no hint of matcha whatsoever... it's also their most expensive drink, but they serve it in the big cup. This place is always super busy and parking can be a bit rough but there's plenty of street parking. The inside was spacious and the kiosks didn't work so we ordered with the cashier. I've been loving n7 for years and whenever I would go, I would either get their nitro jasmine milk tea, assam milk tea or strawberry hussle with their pandan waffle! I saw that this location recently finished remodeling and offers a variety of matcha options so I had to check it out :3 I got the pistachio matcha and my friend got the matcha einspanner. I visited this location yesterday and have been coming about once a week because I really enjoy their drinks. Today, I decided to try something different and ordered the Strawberry Milk Tea, substituting oat milk since I can't have whole milk. When my drink was served, it had the consistency of a slushie, and it didn't appear that oat milk had been added because the color never changed. Every other Strawberry Milk Tea I saw being served was a light pink, while mine looked completely different. I politely let the cashier know that I wasn't happy with my drink and asked if it would be possible to have it remade or exchanged. She went to the back to speak with someone, and when she returned, she told me they couldn't replace it. Instead, she offered to make it sweeter and gave me a 25% discount on my next drink. While I appreciated the discount, I was disappointed with how the situation was handled. In my experience, most businesses are willing to remake or replace a drink when it isn't prepared as expected, especially when there may have been an issue with the order. I've always enjoyed coming here, which is why this experience was disappointing. I usually go for their strawberry matcha, and it's become my go-to order. One thing I really appreciate is how you can fully customize the sweetness level--from 100% all the way down to 0%. I've tried both 50% and 0%, and neither tasted overly sweet, which is nice. At a lot of places, even when you ask for less sugar, it still ends up too sweet, but that's not the case here. Most of the sweetness seems to come from the strawberry cream, and it balances really well with the matcha. You can clearly taste both flavors instead of one overpowering the other, which makes the drink much more enjoyable. Since the renovation, the space feels a lot more lively. It leans more toward a modern aesthetic rather than a warm, cozy vibe, but it still has a really nice atmosphere overall. As for the service, every time I've gone, it seems like there's only one person working at the front. They're usually handling the register and making drinks at the same time, which is honestly impressive. Even when it gets busy, they manage the crowd efficiently and keep things moving. From the outside, you may not think they were open, but entering, you'll be greeted to some very cool wooden furniture, and lots of seating! When I walked in, there was a guy doing a Youtube or TikTok video, microphone, lighting, and everything. No clue who it was, I was just there for the tea! This place is in the competing for top 5 tea shops ever. It might even be top 1. A lot of places are good, but are they Banana Cream Matcha good? Are the Honeydew Cream good? Are they Assam tea good? Are they flavors you've never thought of as a tea good? No? Exactly! The teas we got were beyond delicious, and so unique that I know I'd have to open up my own tea shop to get these if I can't make it to N7. N7 just remodeled with a complete makeover and many new menu items including matcha and phin dripped coffee! They are currently doing 20% off. There's a photobooth in the corner on the right of the entrance which is unique and fun. Cashier was patient and attentive while we were deciding what to order. I went with the pistachio matcha and my sister went with the house milk tea with lychee jelly. She really enjoyed it and missed this drink while they were still remodeling. The pistachio matcha was very creamy and thick, with a stronger matcha flavor than I expected but not bitter or harsh. I enjoyed it with less sweetness. Pistachio cream was nutty but not too overpowering so it felt just right. Personally, I prefer the old look that N7 had. The interior and overall design back then made the brand more distinctive and iconic. However, the cafe feels like a cute place with a softer aesthetic to study and hang out at now. I did a quick search and found N7. It's a self order kiosk and then you just find a spot to chill. It wasn't busy at all, so we just grabbed a couch / coffee table combo. I have no idea on the pricing of my beverage above, but my CC charge was for $6.86 which includes tax and tip, so hopefully that provides a rough idea. (I typically email myself receipts, so not sure what happened here.) It's hard finding a boba spot that does straight matcha. I hate having milk in any kind of tea like beverage. I'm so glad they have the option for just matcha here. It was a bright, grassy, bitter, and the toppings provided a lil sweetness. The boba was soft with a nice chew. The grass jelly was silky and smooth. I thoroughly enjoyed my drink. My gf and I were here almost two hours and the chillness continued. We were able to catch up without feeling rushed. (It never really got busy when we were here.) One note tho, when we were leaving, someone set off a bunch of firecrackers. Scared the S out of my gf and she wanted to head out immediately. If you don't get boba I would recommend 50% and if you do I'd recommend 25. My sister got 75% with boba and I felt like it was borderline undrinkable. Gives me sugar burn in my throat sometimes. - Service can be a bit slow depending on crowd. It's hard to get a hold of anyone bc it's a self service kiosk to ask abt your order but no big deal.
