(2/5) - tastes like coconut water with no hint of matcha whatsoever... it's also their most expensive drink, but they serve it in the big cup. ($8.50) VIBE I'm glad they remodeled, the old N7 felt unwelcoming... Although they should consider getting some AC in there. So stuffy! I visited this location yesterday and have been coming about once a week because I really enjoy their drinks. Today, I decided to try something different and ordered the Strawberry Milk Tea, substituting oat milk since I can't have whole milk. When my drink was served, it had the consistency of a slushie, and it didn't appear that oat milk had been added because the color never changed. Every other Strawberry Milk Tea I saw being served was a light pink, while mine looked completely different. I politely let the cashier know that I wasn't happy with my drink and asked if it would be possible to have it remade or exchanged. She went to the back to speak with someone, and when she returned, she told me they couldn't replace it. Instead, she offered to make it sweeter and gave me a 25% discount on my next drink. While I appreciated the discount, I was disappointed with how the situation was handled. In my experience, most businesses are willing to remake or replace a drink when it isn't prepared as expected, especially when there may have been an issue with the order. I've always enjoyed coming here, which is why this experience was disappointing. This place is always super busy and parking can be a bit rough but there's plenty of street parking. The inside was spacious and the kiosks didn't work so we ordered with the cashier. I've been loving n7 for years and whenever I would go, I would either get their nitro jasmine milk tea, assam milk tea or strawberry hussle with their pandan waffle! I saw that this location recently finished remodeling and offers a variety of matcha options so I had to check it out :3 I got the pistachio matcha and my friend got the matcha einspanner. I used to got N7 a lot even before they reopened, but they've gotten even better. The interior is really nice and super spacious, which makes it the perfect place to study or hang out. They even have a photo booth, which is really cute and trendy. I usually go for their strawberry matcha, and it's become my go-to order. One thing I really appreciate is how you can fully customize the sweetness level--from 100% all the way down to 0%. I've tried both 50% and 0%, and neither tasted overly sweet, which is nice. At a lot of places, even when you ask for less sugar, it still ends up too sweet, but that's not the case here. Most of the sweetness seems to come from the strawberry cream, and it balances really well with the matcha. You can clearly taste both flavors instead of one overpowering the other, which makes the drink much more enjoyable. Since the renovation, the space feels a lot more lively. It leans more toward a modern aesthetic rather than a warm, cozy vibe, but it still has a really nice atmosphere overall. As for the service, every time I've gone, it seems like there's only one person working at the front. They're usually handling the register and making drinks at the same time, which is honestly impressive. Even when it gets busy, they manage the crowd efficiently and keep things moving. It just got recently renovated and they are having a 20% all drinks promotion. The menu got completely revamped and they are now pushing for matcha and coffee drinks, but the classic N7 drinks are still available. The interior is now a complete 180 from the broody, dark interior that I was so used to. There's a lot of seating and it looks like a nice spot to sit, chat, and study. Service is also always fast. N7 just remodeled with a complete makeover and many new menu items including matcha and phin dripped coffee! They are currently doing 20% off. There's a photobooth in the corner on the right of the entrance which is unique and fun. Cashier was patient and attentive while we were deciding what to order. I went with the pistachio matcha and my sister went with the house milk tea with lychee jelly. She really enjoyed it and missed this drink while they were still remodeling. The pistachio matcha was very creamy and thick, with a stronger matcha flavor than I expected but not bitter or harsh. I enjoyed it with less sweetness. Pistachio cream was nutty but not too overpowering so it felt just right. Personally, I prefer the old look that N7 had. The interior and overall design back then made the brand more distinctive and iconic. However, the cafe feels like a cute place with a softer aesthetic to study and hang out at now. (I typically email myself receipts, so not sure what happened here.) It's hard finding a boba spot that does straight matcha. I hate having milk in any kind of tea like beverage. I'm so glad they have the option for just matcha here. It was a bright, grassy, bitter, and the toppings provided a lil sweetness. The boba was soft with a nice chew. The grass jelly was silky and smooth. I thoroughly enjoyed my drink. My gf and I were here almost two hours and the chillness continued. We were able to catch up without feeling rushed. (It never really got busy when we were here.) One note tho, when we were leaving, someone set off a bunch of firecrackers. Scared the S out of my gf and she wanted to head out immediately. Their boba is actually very good but it's DRENCHED in a super sweet sugar syrup and it makes the drink 25% sweeter if you get it. If you don't get boba I would recommend 50% and if you do I'd recommend 25. My sister got 75% with boba and I felt like it was borderline undrinkable. Gives me sugar burn in my throat sometimes. - Service can be a bit slow depending on crowd. It's hard to get a hold of anyone bc it's a self service kiosk to ask abt your order but no big deal.
