Date: Monday, January 19th, 2026 What: Boba Tea Delivery Ordered Thru: DoorDash DoubleDash Time Placed: around 4:30pm Time Arrived: about 45 mins later Neighborhood Delivered to: Evergreen *Ceylon Black Tea - Iced ($8.75) - 0% Sugar, 30% Ice (Less Ice), 3Q (Boba & Coconut Jelly & Bo-Bo) I was craving a boba drink. Since I was DD'ing my meal, I decided to add on a tea. When I got it, it was in a hot cup which was odd, but whatever, it's just a vessel for the beverage. When I drank it, it tasted kind of fruity and very light for ceylon black tea. When I looked at the label, I saw they had printed a label for peach tea, but then used a sharpie to cross out the word peach. Why? Why would they do that? Did they think I wouldn't notice? Anyways, I filed a complaint with DD which took some time since they require pictures and the automated AI thingy didn't not accept my picture of the label. I eventually got fully refunded. Idk, I hate writing 1 star reviews, but shame on this establishment for seeming to acknowledge an error by adjusting the label, but serving the wrong item anyways. REVIEW #3967
LOVE IT! King of mango: fresh mangos with coconut milk and tea jelly. Soo delicious on a super hot day and the mangos are so sweet and ripe. Doesn't taste artificial at all. To me this is more of a dessert type of drink. But still sooo good. Orange Li Li tea: fragrant tea with orange pulp. The tea flavor is strong and pairs so well with this fresh orange juice taste and the pulp. I love pulp and the pulp all throughout the drink means I don't need extra toppings! This is my personal go to. I never fail to get this drink. So light and summery!
Macu Tea in California just hits different than in Texas. You can really taste the fresh mango and the fragrant jasmine jelly in the King of Mango, my go-to Macu drink. Would come back to get this a lot!! The Jasmine milk tea was pretty standard. We ordered at the kiosk and grabbed our drinks to go. Just a heads-up: there's an extra charge if you choose to stay and drink in the store.
My sister-in-law and her boyfriend had a hankering for something sweet and so we all went to Macu Tea. Located in a very busy strip mall, Macu Tea is known for their mango drinks. The parking situation at this mall is always busy, and you'll probably have to circle around a couple of times before a spot opens up. You can order through the giant ipad they have or through the wait staff. The person behind the counter was really nice. I went with the King Mango ($8) drink and did not know what I was getting myself into. It is packed with grapefruit, coconut milk, grass jelly, and a blended mango drink. It's quite a concoction that gives hits of sweet, sour, and creamy. Every sip activates a different part of my tongue. I can honestly say it's nothing I've ever had before and was delightfully surprised. If you want something different than your normal boba milk tea, then I would suggest ordering the King Mango.
I ordered the Orange Mango Li-Li Tea with 10% sugar. It was very sweet. It came out within 5 minutes. It had a sweet orange flavor. There's lots of parking in the lot. Great place to hang out with friends or for dates. Store is medium sized and has lots of tables for small gatherings!
Yooo this mango smoothie was sooo good!! I mean it tasted so fresh (bc they use real mangoes) and their salted cheese cream goes sooo well with the drink!! And also the jelly they added tasted really good. Idk if it's because it's been so hot, but this drink is great!!!
Great tea specializing in fruit flavored drinks. The shops in silver creek plaza so parking can be a little hard depending on what time you're coming. The inside is cute. A clean looking interior currently decorated for the holidays. Our drinks weren't overly sweet and felt very fresh either the fruit in it. The drinks took a little bit of time but we only had one server and the couple ahead of us ordered several drinks. Over all worth coming back to.

Macu has my favorite mango drinks - I'd love to try their other drinks, but whenever I go I always end up getting their Chi Chi Mango or King Mango because it's too good to not get. Pro tip for Chi Chi Mango - order from the counter so you can ask them to put the cheese foam on the bottom, it mixes better into the drink. The kiosk is convenient, but I'm not positive the special request portion works correctly because I've asked for cheese foam on the bottom on the kiosk and it hasn't happened unless I ask the worker there specifically for it. The place has some but not a lot of seating, although most people seem tot take out so I've never not had an option when I've wanted to sit. Plenty of parking in this strip mall area.
I've ordered through DoorDash here twice this year so far and the drinks are pretty good. The drinks taste the best when the weather is hot because it's so refreshing and flavorful. I've tried one of their mango drinks here before and today, I tried the matcha tiramisu. The mango drinks are delicious because the mango bits inside are sweet and fresh adding so much flavor to the drinks as a whole. The matcha tiramisu I got was good too. I was worried the matcha would taste fake, but I could surprisingly taste the bitterness to it. The tiramisu cream didn't have much flavor, but I didn't mind because I mainly ordered the drink for the matcha itself. I think the fruit drinks here are what they specialize in, so I would learn towards those more ordering from here!

Came here on a Friday night at around 9:30pm after having a late dinner. The store is inside a large plaza which is usually busy on weekends during lunch and dinner hour, but the parking spots clear up later in the night. There were surprisingly many people inside the store considering it was so close to closing; around 3/4 of the tables were taken. I ordered the grape smoothie, which adds green tea jelly, fresh grape bits, and crystal boba. The drink was prepared promptly. The 50% sweetness was, in my opinion, the perfect sweetness. The grape flavor was surprisingly super prominent, and the consistency of the drink was wonderful -- slushy like but not cold enough to the point where your mouth starts to feel a little numb. The crystal boba and green tea jelly were great adds, but I especially loved the fresh grape bits, which added a new texture and freshness to the drink. I don't see grape-flavored drinks often at boba places, so I was very satisfied. Macu Tea has so many unique flavors like chocolate and matcha tiramisu, which I'd love to try. I tried my friends' tea drinks and the tea flavor was prominent and tasted fresh. Would definitely recommend trying it out, and I will be back!
Macu has been my family's go-to boba spot for about a year now. They're best known for their fruit teas, but I personally prefer their milk teas since they're not rich and decadent on the dairy side. My go-to order is the M06 Tieguanyin milk tea, which I customize by adding boba and noodle jelly. The flavor reminds me a lot of TP Tea, if you're curious about a comparison. The customer service has always been consistently good! I'm always greeted when I come in, and some of the staff even check in to see if I need help with the menu.

Got the King of Mango Smoothie and it was delicious. Full of mangos and fruit jelly, added boba as well. Service was good. Lady behind the counter could've been a lot nicer to the other customers though. Definitely will be back if I'm in the area again. read more
One of my favorite boba spots in East San Jose. The drinks are consistently good, the tea flavor actually comes through, and they don't rely on excessive sweetness to make everything taste the same. Get the Avocado Mango Smoothie. It sounds like an unusual combination, but the creamy avocado and sweet mango work surprisingly well together. Rich, refreshing, and basically dessert in a cup. The menu is huge, but it's hard to go wrong. The fruit teas are refreshing, the milk teas are smooth, and the toppings always taste fresh. Portions are generous and the drinks look just as good as they taste. Parking can get a little hectic depending on the time of day, but it's worth the stop if you're in the area and need a boba fix. read more

With the large amount of boba shops nearby, Macu manages to stand out with its use of fresh fruits, most notably mangoes. I ordered the King of Mango smoothie and it was everything I expected, natural mango flavor with tea jelly at the bottom to provide some texture. There is also a reasonable amount of seating inside for people who are looking for a place to sit down and enjoy their drink in a group setting read more
I've been here a handful of times now so thought I finally write a review - The service is so quick; even on busy weekends. Truly love the customer service, consistently good each and every time, which is one of the main reasons that made me a regular customer. Not usually a milk tea person, but this place is my ultimate go to- especially for their Green Milk Tea. It's super popular and I can definitely see why! I've been coming here at least once a week after discovering their green milk tea but wow, their honey boba is always so fresh and chewy, looking forward to trying their other drinks! read more

Macu Tea has tons of options for milk tea, fruit tea, and fruit smoothie lovers! They're open a bit later than the other spots in the plaza, and the wait isn't as bad as Happy Lemon. Drinks mostly come in large. I was genuinely impressed with my drink and would consider revisiting, though it's not a place I think about coming back to much. CEYLON BLACK TEA LATTE: 4/5 ($5.75) + Very enjoyable drink! I find ceylon tea can sometimes lack in depth, but it tasted pretty good here + Boba had a nice chewy consistency read more
First time in Macu Tea even though several locations have opened in the South Bay. CHI-CHI TARO w/ FRESH MILK: This drink is blended milk and taro with their cheese topping. When i inquired about the sugar level, the staff let me know that no additional sugar was added. The drink turned out great. It was super smooth and the sweetness was perfect, i'd say it's about 50% sweetness. I feel like the cheese topping doesn't really add much to the drink, so i could do without it next time. Staff was friendly answering my questions regarding the drinks since it was my first time and there was no one behind me. It's pretty clean in the shop and there are several tables. They don't have a points reward system so that is unfortunate. I would come back for the se drink again! read more

Wanted to try a new place and this one looked fun! I liked all the unique flavors like strawberry tiramisu and fresh fruit teas! The drinks tasted really good and the fresh fruit was sweet and ripe! There was one employee working and she did a fantastic job of taking care while making each drink. She also kindly answered my question when I wasn't sure what a certain type of drink was. Amazing and will come back! Inside is super cute so I'd plan to stay at least for a little bit to enjoy the decor while you wait for your drink! read more
Saw many reviews talking about how the king of mango drink was good- can confirm it lives up to all the positive reviews! The drink is so yummy, you can tell they use ripe fresh mangoes. Theres bits of grapefruit and some coconut milk in it which I enjoy. I came in on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy. Theres a self order kiosk. No adjustments are allowed on this drink. I ordered the taro fresh milk with less sugar and it was okay. It tasted more cakey and not the usual smooth consistency. The interior was a modern and clean space. It was easy to order on the kiosk in the front. There were wall outlets BUT there was No Wi-Fi available*** Restroom was clean. After much hype circulating around Macu Tea's Mango drinks I finally tried it out! In short it is refreshing, fresh, and expensive. Although they're renowned for the King of Mango drink, I don't like pomelo so I got the Chi-chi mango instead, which comes with tea jelly and salted cream. They don't lie when they say the natural mango flavor really shines through! Literally tasted like very ripe mango blended into a smoothie, and the salted cream added the perfect sweet and salty creaminess to the drink. I also loved the texture and flavor of the tea jelly. All the positives being said, this place is not cheap! A drink was over $8 after tax, but I do think it's very filling and the ingredients are fresh. We couldn't get the kiosk to work so we ordered with the cashier. The place has quite a good amount of seating and drinks didn't take too long to be out. Overall, great spot for an occasional splurge. I wanna come back to try other drinks! read more

One of my favorite boba places in San Jose! There's definitely a lot of competition in this plaza, but their tea is consistent in quality. I would highly recommend their oolong milk tea! The tea flavor is so rich and the creaminess is just right so that it doesn't overpower the tea. Also, their mango and grape drinks are very refreshing if you're not looking for a milk tea! You can even see that they use fresh mangos! That's when you know it's good quality! There's seating in the store for you to hangout, but because the seats are not cushioned, I wouldn't recommend this for a study spot. read more
New boba spot in ESSJ straight from Taiwan! This must be a new chain in the Bay cause it's definitely the first time I've ever heard of it around here. I had the King of Mango smoothie and a sip of the Chi Chi Strawberry smoothie and both were pretty good! I really like the tea jelly flavor which is a really nice add to the king of mango smoothie. King of Mango is basically your standard coconut milk, mango, grapefruit combo but this one does it extra with the tea jelly! This is def less sweet than some of its similar counterparts at places like Wanpo/YiFang but still very good. I honestly love the tea jelly add! The only thing I didn't like too much was this grapefruit was extra sour which didn't complement too well with the drink but if it was ripe I'm sure this would've tasted way better! The Chi Chi Strawberry smoothie was honestly my fav between the two! Super refreshing with lots of fresh strawberry flavor. Would def recommend! Also Idk if it was just me that was super about the naming of these drinks, but if this helps you chi chi = salted cheese, po po = crystal boba, li li = fresh fruit pulp. The menu is a lot to look at so I think if you read the smaller print you eventually get it, but it wasn't super obvious to me initially. read more
The King of Mango smoothie is delicious! Fresh mango pieces, delicious and fresh coconut milk, and the tea jelly was not too strong, not too sweet. I can't wait to try other smoothies. However, when I came in, everyone was getting a mango smoothie, so that might be their specialty. read more
Couldn't find the drink that we wanted at soyful so walked over to this place. Nice, bright and plenty of seating inside. We ordered: Qq passion fruit: 50% sweet was still hella sweet. Daughter enjoyed it. Brown sugar boba: this was good. Peach black tea with noodles: 4/5 I enjoyed this tea. The peach flavor comes from the tea not syrup. The qq noodles at TPTea had a better texture. 10% sweet was a good amount of sweetness. Service: friendly and helpful. Drink came out quick. Glad we found this cute spot. read more
First time visiting. I'm always interested in places that offer rarer teas like Tieguanyin. There's a kiosk to order but a worker took my order at the counter. Ordered Tieguanyin Oolong Milk Tea with Boba, 30% sweet and 30% ice. I like that there's a lot of different drink options, especially tea options. There's an option to get a 1L bottle for an additional $1.95, with a 25 cent discount if you reuse it at your next visit. My drink came out within minutes. At 30% sweet, it is still pretty sweet so I wouldn't recommend going above that. It had the great smoky/roasted flavor that I associate with Tieguanyin though a bit on the lighter side. Not overly creamy. Boba was soft and chewy. I'll definitely be back and will upgrade to the bottle. read more
Macu never disappoints! No matter the weather it's always good all year round. The smoothies is one of our go tos, whether it is strawberry or mango. The wintermelon is very refreshing as well after a long day. You can really taste the freshness of the drinks and the taste of authenticity. The service is very fast. The kiosk makes it very quick to use and order. Still not sure how the rewards system works but that will be another day to figure out. Overall it is a very chill place to just have casual hangings with friends. One of our favorite boba places! read more
I ordered the king mango but was sorely disappointed. The pomelo at the bottom was way too sour and overpowered the jelly, so it felt like I was chewing on unsweetened jelly. The mango smoothie part was good, but I could only taste it by itself at the end. The chocolate tiramisu tasted like icy chocolate, it'd be better in froyo or ice cream form though. There's only one kiosk to order at and their menu is confusing with the random names they call things, like "chi chi." Since it's mostly fruit based drinks I guess the fruit really needs to be in season for the drink to taste good. read more

*Visited on Saturday 10/12/2024 around 8:45pm This was my first visit to Macu Tea, and though I had high expectations, I felt pretty let down. I came with a group of 4, and we had ordered on their self-ordering kiosk. The store itself was pretty clean and sleek looking- a pretty cool place to grab a drink and hang out with some friends. We had ordered our drinks around 8:45 with a total of three drinks: - Wintermelon tea with noodle jelly & boba - Orange & Mango Li-li tea with noodle jelly - Brown Sugar Boba w/ Fresh Milk & boba I hate to be that person, but after ordering there were two other groups that had ordered after us- they had both received their orders while we did not get our drinks until about 15 minutes after. I'm not sure if that's the norm for here, but we felt pretty confused as to why groups that had blended drinks got their orders before we did. OKAY THE DRINK: I had a simple Wintermelon tea with noodle jelly & boba. The tea was GREAT, super tasty and refreshing especially during this heat wave. Tbh I should've gotten less ice, but had ordered regular ice. My drink was great however it felt like it was 90% ice and 10% tea/ toppings. After an hour of babying my drink, there was still a significant amount of ice and I was struggling to get to my toppings. Overall, I'm not sure if I want to come back as there's plenty of other boba shops in the area. Maybe in the future, but pretty bummed about my first experience here. read more
