I've been to a fair amount of boba shops where the hojicha overpowers the sesame, but B cafe had the right balance. The drink took some time because it was made with care. I saw what I suppose is the owner (an older gentleman) making the drink and taking his time whisking the hojicha and sesame. Lovely spot with ample seating. This seems to be rebranded as X Tea and is located behind the main buildings of the plaza so it was a little hard to find in the corner of a lot. Stopped by quickly and they were very nice and speedy with their service. They have some unique options for drinks - ended up with earl grey matcha and dahongpao milk tea. I liked the blend with the matcha and the drink was smooth. The tea drink was nicely sweetened and the tea flavor came through. There is no outdoor seating here. There were plenty of parking spots in this plaza. When you arrive, you'll see the sign says X Tea. I ordered the pandan paradise and it was really good. The barista told me they put 2 shots in their coffee drinks which is good to know. I enjoyed how strong and tasty my drink was. Stopped by because we were in the area and my daughter could never pass up an opportunity for watermelon juice. First and foremost, signage outside states the business name being XTea but apparently they are/have transitioned to B Cafe?? Confusing yes, but does it really matter?? I'd say no. Good because it was very apparent that fresh watermelon was actually used but the drink in itself was extremely bland. It used to be X-tea. This place has changed their name and I assume new ownership. I came here on a whim and ordered a Einspanner. I was excited to see this on the menu since I've only had it in LA. Unique flavor - my first time trying bamboo oolong tea. It's definitely interesting, but it's not for everyone. The owner knew that and was very friendly about offering alternatives if we didn't like our drink. It wasn't for me, but my fiance liked it. Having the cream add on helped. My friend had to exchange hers though. She ordered less sweet, and I didn't like that either. The bamboo taste is strong. Like I said, it's interesting, but may not suit everyone's taste bud. One main reason I chose to order the bamboo tea was for the bamboo cup sleeve. Unfortunately, they're no longer including those. Apparently it's getting too expensive for them to import it (it is handmade, and I think they said it was ~$1.50 per sleeve). My friend liked his peach oolong milk tea. I got catfished by the yelp landing page because the drinks and interior looked way better online than in person. The store looks nothing like the main photos anymore and also the drinks arent in any cute cups :( Aside from that, the jasmine tea was oversteeped and bitter. This location is where X Tea is, next to Claw Shack. There's no sign that I could see with it's new name, B Cafe. I shared the matcha latte and the osthmanthus oolong milk tea with hubby. I was surprised to see the matcha tea made traditionally with a whisk. The matcha had the bitterness of real matcha and the osthmanthus oolong milk tea was very floral. Both drinks were pretty good and possibly kinda strong. We had the drinks with dinner, and at least one of them helped me finish an almost all-nighter on a work project. I think there was only one person working that day since it seemed quiet and they let me know to ask any questions about the menu if I had any! It's super refreshing for a hot day, I would say the bamboo taste was subtle and unique, has a slight twinge of sourness that worked with the oolong. The service is nice the owner is sweet, I witnessed an altercation where it seemed like the owner was being misunderstood for microaggression by mistrusting a customer, but I think it was a misunderstanding as her English wasn't native. Just wanted to leave it here because I saw it happen, but the owner asked for the customer to purchase an item for the restroom code, which is something enforced at many locations. The customer stated she came yesterday and purchased a drink, but the owner wasn't working yesterday. There was another girl seemingly translating between the two. I was craving something sweet after having a meal at ClawShack. I'm just happy there's a boba shop right next door! I haven't tried anything at X Tea yet. Originally I was going to get a fruit tea, but ended up wanting to do something different because my brother got the melon oolong milk tea. I ended up getting the avocado mango slush, which was really good! I really love avocado shakes, so I knew I'd love this one. The avocado itself was creamy and slightly sweetened. The mango purée was sweet, and you got some crunchy pieces of mango which paired well with the avocado. If you mix up both the avocado, mango, and cream - it's the perfect way to end a meal with. I was also surprised that the melon oolong milk tea was good too??? I never thought to get melon but my brother likes flavors like that. You definitely tasted the melon, but it was light and not overwhelming if that makes sense. Definitely a place I'll stop by if I'm in the area. I came around 6:45pm on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. The worker welcomed me as soon as I came in. There was tons of lounge seating and free WiFi. I had to ask them on their preferences (couldn't decide between fruit or milk tea) and end up getting the peach oolong milk tea with crystal boba. Let me tell you... it was DELICIOUS! It was the perfect amount of tea, not too much milk and still fruity. This is exactly what a peach oolong milk tea should be. (10000x better than sunbright).
