I came here on an early Saturday afternoon needing a sugar fix.  The place was very quiet (though the rest of the shopping center was, too).  I ordered a Lychee Bliss drink (jasmine green tea with lychee pisces and jelly), which came very quickly as I was the only customer.  The drink hit the spot and gave me what I needed to keep going the rest of the day.    Unlike other boba tea places, the drink menu is fairly sparse, with some teas, coffees and smoothie options.  They do offer a few hot snacks (calamari, popcorn chicken, fries and waffles), though I wasn't hungry to try anything.  And I was not given an option to adjust the sweetness and ice level of my drink.  There is plenty of seating inside with a TV playing music.  The bathroom was listed as "out of order."  Plenty of free parking available in the shopping center. read more

The place has good AC! They do their best to keep the environment cool and the workers here are friendly. The menu is limited but I liked my Thai Milk Tea! Service here is nice! Lady is able to make adjustments to drinks if you don't like them. read more

The store is located in the Safeway and 24 hr CVS Shopping Center, next to Valerio's City Bakery. Service: Cashier was friendly, patient, and polite. Welcoming all customers who came in. She also explained the sizing of the Popcorn Chicken and the Fried Calamari Heads. They both came in a sizeable snack paper bag. Hong Kong Style Milk Tea - I chose not to get boba. I know...isn't that the point to see if their drinks or boba is any good!?! The tea was good, but it didn't have that familiar HK Milk Tea taste. Next time, I will get a drink with boba. Fried Calamari Heads - deep fried, crispy, and tasty. They are lightly tossed with yellow onions. Your choice of Mild, Spicy, Super Spicy. The inside had no AC and it was during one of the heat wave days but still bearable. The Pandan coconut was refreshing but jelly was super long it got stuck in the straw. We ordered chicken too and it was ok. With other boba tea options in the area not my go to but if I'm in the plaza I would maybe try different drinks. read more

Every time we come here it's the same worker working - she's always saying she's on her hour lunch and can't serve us and is by herself. This time she said they were out of all fried food. Seems like she doesn't want to work there or take any orders. Came here for the fried calamari. It wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon. They have the calamari heads and the chef P fried calamari. I got the personal size chef P calamari: 5 stars of crispy deliciousness. It was so yummy with my spiced vinegar. It was enough for 2-3 people which is perfect so I don't eat it all. Lol. $12 which is a good price. Also got the ube waffle: 4 stars. The texture was so good a lightly chewy with light sweetness that makes you keep wanting to eat more. Tried their Ava Avocado Bliss and it's pretty good. Friendly staff. Simple and relaxed decor that I decide to sit in to enjoy my avocado bliss instead of taking it to go. Walked in because it was next to where my family was getting lunch. Walked in and the place was pretty empty and quiet. The cashier helped me decide what to order. My drink was good but the plastic they top their drinks off with did not open when I tried puncturing with my straw. I ended up having to peel the lid and part of my drink spilled out. I have a mental list of the handful of places in the south bay that still make drinks from fresh taro, and I am happy to add SimpleTea as one of them. Ordered the Ice Milk Taro Delight with Taro mash, Coconut milk, Honey boba, Mascapuno strips, Milk, and Shaved Ice. I really enjoyed the combination in this drink. My partner and I visited Simpletea because we wanted something to wash down the spiciness in our stomach after having Indian food for dinner. I liked the variety of options available in the speciality drink menu. After debating between the Mung Bean Delight and the Coconut Pandan, we landed on the Coconut Pandan. Upon the first sip, I noticed how much variety there was in the toppings. I really appreciated that aspect of it. Because the base was coconut water, it was not too heavy. I was craving milk tea as my mom had to pick up something next doo. The lady who helped me was so sweet and so kind. I had made it to their very first opening. I was drawn to the keropi matcha can and she informed me there was one cold can left. I couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted. My mom came in and I asked her if she wanted any. She saw calamari for about $6. I think the owner/manager came out and said they didn't have anymore but they can make some it's going to take awhile. He said it's so good fresh it's crunchy. I swear, Simpletea never disappoints with their excellent customer service, amazing drinks, and great food/snacks. They were doing a pop up today and tomorrow in honor of Lao New Year and it definitely did not disappoint. I got the Lao sausage and I'm a huge fan! I haven't had Lao sausages in a while and the last time I had it was back in the city so having this today reminded me of my college days. So nostalgic! The sausages were perfectly spiced, not too salty and not too spicy and when dipped into the sauce and eaten with the cucumber, it just blends so well. This place was closed for a few months due to remodeling and reopen again though there seems to be a lack of enthusiasm with so few reviews that Bro and I came by this morning after picking up our orders at Jade China which is right next door. We were greeted by a young cashier she was very helpful their menu selection consist of specialty drinks, smoothies and snacks prices seems reasonable I had the Vietnamese iced coffee and Bro had the Thai tea both 50% sweetness without the toppings comes in one large size cup price at $5.95 some places they charged a dollar more usually one of them high end boba shops. We noticed they do have several merchandise like key chains and adorable carried on thermo containers. The place is quite small though room enough for dine-in no outdoor seating. Ample parking not too crowded best to come by early than later in the day. Would come by again quick service and the drinks were simply refreshing! read more

Visited for the Lao New Year pop-up and the food was delicious~ The calamari is so addicting, I probably could've eaten the entire box in one sitting by myself. We got one of everything - Nam Khao (crispy rice), Tam Mak Hoong (papaya salad), Sai Oua (Lao sausage), and Seen Hang (beef jerky). We also bought another Nam Khao and Seen Hang to go! Everything from the actual dish to the herbs and sauces that came with it reminded my boyfriend of home. It was so nice meeting the Lao folks who own this place. They're all super nice and service was great. The shop has a number of tables to sit at, and there's some background music playing not too loudly. Of course, last but not least, the drinks were good too! My friend got a passionfruit-guava drink. I think we stayed and chatted (mostly about how good the food was) for a couple of hours. They had a lot of cute merchandise for sure around/by the counter. Not much service, and the staff does not look/seem friendly or welcoming either. Came here on an afternoon after work for a little pick me up. I remember Simpletea from when it was at a different location so I wanted to see if it was still as good as I remembered it to be. I ordered the Thai tea with less ice. The drink itself was very good. It was a good amount of creamy that wasn't too thick and it really complemented the Thai tea flavor which was able to shine. The cashier and service is great, but the boba is subpar. I ordered a Hong Kong milk tea and the milk seems to have gone bad. I was basically drinking expired milk and it was lowkey pretty gross. Solid place tucked away in a shopping plaza. They have daily specials so the Thai Iced Tea I got was only $3.00! Not a lot of boba stores focus on the interior design, but this cafe has cute little decorations and a bit of greenery which made me want to come in. The drinks were good but the boba is appropriately chewy, which was impressive. I'll echo that they use bamboo (?) straws so I had to use one of their toothpicks to make an opening since the straw wasn't cutting it. I'm a fan of non-plastic straws, so maybe the store can add something to help make the straw-holes? Otherwise, it's a solid place and good for studying. read more

It was a hot and sunny day when I came inside this cute little boba shop within the impacted supermarket. I was actually with one of the coworkers, Mirelle since we were running a couple of errands. Even though this girl was off shift and had a 9AM-3PM shift earlier in the day, she still took her job very seriously and was really focused on finishing the drinks. When I was watching this girl work she literally kept on moving nonstop!! You can tell that she's really dedicated and she's hardworking as well. And she's so cute too!!!! (; I ordered the Oreo shake or something like that?? When I took a sip it actually tasted like brownies (lightweight) but I wasn't bothered by it. Unlike some boba shops, they would make their smoothies really watery or really diabetic. but this place made it with a little less ice and had more flavor within the drink. Honestly even though it's a cookies and cream shake it didn't taste that sweet at all!! there's Oreo on the bottom and on top, there's whipped cream and crushed Oreos!! It's a really cute and delicious drink for kids or even cookie lovers !!
