Popcorn chicken

The inside had no AC and it was during one of the heat wave days but still bearable. The Pandan coconut was refreshing but jelly was super long it got stuck in the straw. We ordered chicken too and it was ok. With other boba tea options in the area not my go to but if I'm in the plaza I would maybe try different drinks.

Came here for the fried calamari. It wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon. They have the calamari heads and the chef P fried calamari. I got the personal size chef P calamari: 5 stars of crispy deliciousness. It was so yummy with my spiced vinegar. It was enough for 2-3 people which is perfect so I don't eat it all. Lol. $12 which is a good price. Also got the ube waffle: 4 stars. The texture was so good a lightly chewy with light sweetness that makes you keep wanting to eat more. I will comeback for more calamari and maybe to try their drink/desert

Ava Avocado Bliss

Tried their Ava Avocado Bliss and it's pretty good. Friendly staff. Simple and relaxed decor that I decide to sit in to enjoy my avocado bliss instead of taking it to go. Did not try any of the milk tea but judging from the avocado drink I'm planning to return to try milk teas and the waffles. They sell Chef P's calamari, not as good as getting them from actual store.

Walked in because it was next to where my family was getting lunch. Walked in and the place was pretty empty and quiet. The cashier helped me decide what to order. My drink was good but the plastic they top their drinks off with did not open when I tried puncturing with my straw. I ended up having to peel the lid and part of my drink spilled out. Definitely a downer on the experience. I ordered the Hong Kong milk tea with boba. The inside is cute and clean. Not sure I'd go back as the drink was nothing out of the ordinary to me.

Ice Milk Taro Delight

I have a mental list of the handful of places in the south bay that still make drinks from fresh taro, and I am happy to add SimpleTea as one of them. Ordered the Ice Milk Taro Delight with Taro mash, Coconut milk, Honey boba, Mascapuno strips, Milk, and Shaved Ice. I really enjoyed the combination in this drink. And the shaved ice added a super nice touch. Service was friendly and accommodating, and the ambiance had a nice simple decor.

One of those spots that will always stay in my mind if I'm on a drive and I pass it or in general thinking about wanting a treat. Had to come back from my last visit to try the food and the coffee. The food is phenomenal and it tracks due to me enjoying their drinks so much. Pandan waffle here is worth every dime at this local spot and what is unique to this spot is the waffle whipped cream!! Crispy perfection. The Thai coffee is well crafted, not overtly sweet and I left the spot feeling really happy. Workers here are fast and super kind. Always a well rounded experience here.

I was craving milk tea as my mom had to pick up something next doo. The lady who helped me was so sweet and so kind. I had made it to their very first opening. I was drawn to the keropi matcha can and she informed me there was one cold can left. I couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted. My mom came in and I asked her if she wanted any. She saw calamari for about $6. I think the owner/manager came out and said they didn't have anymore but they can make some it's going to take awhile. He said it's so good fresh it's crunchy. We agreed and the. I finally made a decision to get the Dalgona and pandan mochi waffle. I highly recommend this place they are so nice and the food/drinks are great!

I swear, Simpletea never disappoints with their excellent customer service, amazing drinks, and great food/snacks. They were doing a pop up today and tomorrow in honor of Lao New Year and it definitely did not disappoint. I got the Lao sausage and I'm a huge fan! I haven't had Lao sausages in a while and the last time I had it was back in the city so having this today reminded me of my college days. So nostalgic! The sausages were perfectly spiced, not too salty and not too spicy and when dipped into the sauce and eaten with the cucumber, it just blends so well. Then washed it down with my Hong Kong milk tea...AMAZING! Next thing on my list to try would definitely be popcorn chicken and the pandas waffles! I definitely cannot wait to come back! It's hard to limit myself when I live so close!

This place was closed for a few months due to remodeling and reopen again though there seems to be a lack of enthusiasm with so few reviews that Bro and I came by this morning after picking up our orders at Jade China which is right next door. We were greeted by a young cashier she was very helpful their menu selection consist of specialty drinks, smoothies and snacks prices seems reasonable I had the Vietnamese iced coffee and Bro had the Thai tea both 50% sweetness without the toppings comes in one large size cup price at $5.95 some places they charged a dollar more usually one of them high end boba shops. We noticed they do have several merchandise like key chains and adorable carried on thermo containers. The place is quite small though room enough for dine-in no outdoor seating. Ample parking not too crowded best to come by early than later in the day. Would come by again quick service and the drinks were simply refreshing!

Coconut pandan, Oreo cookie cream smoothie, both very good

It isn't a typical asian tea shop. They have their own creations. I was disappointed they don't have matcha. I got the pandan coconut drink without basil seeds and it was very tasty. Not overly sweet. My daughter ordered the oreo shake which was pretty good. My daughter slurped it down. It cost $16.30.

Visited for the Lao New Year pop-up and the food was delicious~ The calamari is so addicting, I probably could've eaten the entire box in one sitting by myself. We got one of everything - Nam Khao (crispy rice), Tam Mak Hoong (papaya salad), Sai Oua (Lao sausage), and Seen Hang (beef jerky). We also bought another Nam Khao and Seen Hang to go! Everything from the actual dish to the herbs and sauces that came with it reminded my boyfriend of home. It was so nice meeting the Lao folks who own this place. They're all super nice and service was great. The shop has a number of tables to sit at, and there's some background music playing not too loudly. Of course, last but not least, the drinks were good too! My friend got a passionfruit-guava drink. I think we stayed and chatted (mostly about how good the food was) for a couple of hours. Definitely can't wait to come back here.

There's one I always recommend to my friends, which is the corn einspanner. You have to try it. It's so good in a weirdly comforting way, like it fixes something in me every time I drink it. Maybe it's because it tastes exactly like corn milk - the kind I used to have for breakfast back in Vietnam. I also really like their matcha. It's strong, high quality, and honestly their cream foam is one of the best in the Bay Area. Super smooth and not too sweet. I've never had a bad drink here. Everything is consistent which is kind of rare these days. If you're around, you really should check them out.

Once you go in, you need to order at the kiosk like typical drink spots, and wait accordingly. When I went on a Wednesday morning, it was pretty empty, which might be great since it does have some tables to work from home and do homework! It is also bit on the quiet side, which is another pro. , The first time I went to Haiku, I did not enjoy the drink I got (which I do not remember what it was), but the second time I went, my friend and I ordered an Obsidian Hojicha latte and their Banana cream top hojicha, and it was amazing! Their hojichas have a very deep flavor profile that I have not experienced with other shops yet, and I would be interested to know what powders they have used. I definitely want to come back to try their guava matcha :)

While I generally like strawberries, the strawberry sauce in this drink tasted off. Not sure if it taste bad because it's near the end of the day. I noticed a sign stating that if you're not satisfied with your drink, it can be remade. So I politely asked if they could remake mine without the strawberry since that was the only issue. At first, the employee told me they couldn't remake it without strawberry, which was confusing given the posted policy. I explained again that the strawberry tasted bad and pointed out the sign. Only then did she agree to remake it. Everything else about the drink was fine, and I wouldn't have asked for a remake if the strawberry sauce hadn't tasted spoiled. The interaction just felt unnecessarily difficult and left a bad impression. It was upsetting to end my day with this kind of experience. Honestly, this place isn't my favorite to begin with--I only came because my boyfriend likes it--but after this, I probably won't be ordering anything for myself again.

We upsized to the large, which was massive, definitely shareable. The tea itself tasted fresh. We asked for 50 percent sweetness, but it was still way too sweet, so I let the ice melt a bit to balance things out. Overall, a decent drink but nothing particularly impressive. It feels like many places lean on extra sweetness to mask an average tea. The boba, though, was nicely done: fresh, chewy, and lightly sweet. Overall, a solid 4/5.

Could barely taste the avocado. The drinks are very ordinary - nothing special. My fruit tea tasted like a bunch of syrup and water with ice. Tea scent wasn't too fragrant. Service: 1 out of 2 Service here is horrible. The girl at the register wouldn't even take my order. It seemed like she was busy but the place was pretty empty. I wanted to order an additional item in addition to my pick up. I ordered both food and drinks. The food - large is not worth jt at all. You pay more but the portions are barely distinguishable. The box is slightly bigger but it's not as if the food is being filled to the brim or anything. The food is kind of pricy for the amount you get. Ambiance: It's small - barely any room. Overall, not much to write home about.

I've been to Happy Lemon in the past in other locations so I know it's good in general. L O C A T I O N Although this Happy Lemon is located off 680, it's kind of hard to get to and you can miss the entrance to the plaza. I had to drive around twice to finally get into the plaza. Just be careful and slow down even though Capitol Ave can have some crazy drivers. Parking is plentiful and it's also next to a Popeyes :) I N S I D E There was a good amount of seating on both sides of the building. And they do have a restroom for customers. M E N U Happy Lemon is known for its lemon drinks as well as their puff drinks. The puff drinks are definitely a dessert. Hefty. What was quite shocking was the price of the toppings were $1 for even boba. When did just a black milk tea with boba start at almost $8? I had to clasp my pearls. But you know what, it's fine, I'm donating to a local-ish business. How was my drink? It was milky and tea-y and delicious. So I guess I'll just enjoy my $8 drink. And who doesn't love a drink that's winking at you? S E R V I C E I ordered from a tablet/kiosk and paid by card easily. Apparently they updated their app so I had to reregister my email to get points. I guess it's been a while since I've gone to a Happy Lemon. Drinks came out in no time at all. O V E R A L L Although the price was a bit shocking, the quality of the drink is there so I don't mind paying it. I like a creamy milk tea so it was delicious. For me to have a coffee means it is excellent. 7 leaves is excellent. The first time I ever had 7 leaves was in Los Angeles. I don't know what branch but it had a drive through, which was lit. I was with my aunt and uncle who know I don't drink coffee, and they peer pressured me into getting a house coffee. I am so grateful they did . Creamy, sweet, with the salty cream top. Absolute nectar of the gods. If you hate sweet coffee this is not for you. But if you are an aspiring diabetic in terms of sugar consumption, then this place is heaven. I was so happy to get my signature- house coffee with boba. The boba is tender and good quality. Not the best boba in the world but solid. The coffee, ohhhh the coffee. It literally brought me back to life- I had been awake since 1 am for my fuckass day of travel and quest to get to California to get yelled at. If you're on the verge of a crash out, get the coffee. You'll probably still crash out but at least you have a delicious drink.

As always, their mobile app ordering system is fully functional and easy to use. You can order with Apple Pay and rewards points. Stopped by to do some work on my laptop on a weekend afternoon. Countertop stools are missing from the counter area. Sprayed graffiti on the window and sticky caramel spillages outside the entrance were not cleaned up. Store has more of an ambiance to hang out with friends. Music choice wasn't disruptive. Not really a good place to do work in comparison to other locations due to noise level of other guests. There's also 4 Wi-fi networks to choose from and none of them worked except for Berryessa Square, which was super slow. Staff was friendly and quick with service. Drinks are consistent with other locations. Will be back for just picking up drinks. There's better locations to go to for working on a laptop.
