Happy Lemon was the first shop where I've tried Salted Cheese drinks. I haven't had them in a while, so I decided to give them a try again. My go-to order is the Black Tea with Salted Cheese, it was a refreshing drink and just like what I remembered. If you're looking for salted cheese drinks, Happy Lemon is a great spot to get them!
Happy Lemon never disappoints. Had my regular boba milk tea half sweet add crystal boba.
This location is actually the most convenient to me since I'm in the shopping center often, but I rarely come to this one. The parking right near the shop is limited and usually taken by the other businesses. It's pretty lucky to find parking right in front, unless it's a very slow day. This time around, I ordered ahead of time to get my drinks/waffle faster. My order included the usual milk tea with sea salt cream and lychee jelly, a chocolate waffle and something for the bf. When I got there, my drinks weren't quite ready, but it wasn't too much of a wait. Service isn't the friendliest, but nothing to complain about. The shop has a good amount of space for people to hang out and chat after getting drinks. It's usually pretty quiet, at least on the handful of times I've been there. 1 star off is for my drink - for some reason, this location has always been a little off with the drink I've ordered. Even though I (usually) order the exact same drink at several locations, this one is always inconsistent with it's sweetness level. Most of the time, it's less sweet than expected while once in a while, it's way too sweet. I'm sure there's a formula for it, but it's never quite the same. The chocolate waffle was good and no complaints for the other drink.
I ordered the black tea with salted cheese 25 percent sweetness. Love their salted cheese, really good flavor of savory and a hint of salt. One of the best salted cheese out there imo. Their black tea was pretty good. It had a nice flavor, not watered down today compared to other boba shop. I noticed their tea tastes different from day to day. Sometimes it's water down sometimes it's strong. But their salted cheese has been consistent every visit. I think this location is a lot better than the other locations I been to in the Bay Area.
I wish the male behind the counter would have said I had BRF (biccchie resting face) to my face and not behind my back... I'd have told him, "why, yes....yes, I do suffer from BRF". Evidently he didn't see my son sitting waiting for the order and heard/saw the comments. Q- To the male Associate working on 7/9/24 @2:57p - Why are you working with people? Suggestion (if you want to work in customer service) Wait til customers are gone before trash talking them. BRF sufferer.
Happy Lemon is a boba tea chain that serves waffles and Korean fried chicken. They have a variety of fruit and milk teas with salted cheese and combo options. It's located in a complex with lot parking and has a few tables for small group or individual indoor seating. The waffles were a bit of a wait and they ran out of fried chicken, but the drinks came out relatively quickly and were priced reasonably for the area. The bubble waffles tasted great - they were a good amount of sweet and fluffy. There's not much of a difference between the original waffle and the oreo waffle other than the texture (the oreo one had hard chunks where there was oreo pieces). I wouldn't recommend the puff creams - they were $1 each and didn't taste great (kind of like sour milk). However, the mango boba green tea was refreshing and had the perfect amount of sweet mango flavor. The ratio of boba to drink was good and the mango boba was the right texture - I'd rate it a 9/10. I'd recommend this place as a post-work treat to either pick up or dine-in with a friend or 2.
Honestly the most reliable place to get a salted cheese drink. It's so so good every single time and even the next day. Honestly just a perfect blend of sweet and savory. Also tried my friend's Strawberry Shortcake Drink with Lychee. Really really tasty and tasted like a drinkable dessert. Great mix of fruit and creaminess but definitely on the more expensive side (especially since lychee was added). Never saw this drink at other locations so if you come here definitely check it out! Overall, I've only been to this location once and have no complaints! The drinks were super good and service was quick. There are only a few tables but this is more of a grab and go location. Some tables had crumbs so cleanliness isn't the greatest if you're thinking to dine-in.
I've been here multiple times and I think this is my favorite happy lemon location in the South Bay. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. My go to drink is the Green Tea with Salted Cheese; I remember the first time I tried salted cheese i though it was so weird but i've grown to love it and it's one of my favorite drinks. The Tiramisu Salted Cheese is also really good, I usually get it with the oreo milk tea.
Happy Lemon is one of my favorite boba spots in San Jose! I always get the A2 black tea salted cheese here or the D5 boba milk tea with puff cream. There is plenty of parking in the plaza. The shop itself is pretty small compared to other Happy Lemons and was unexpectedly crowded when we went on a Sunday around 5PM. Shoutout to Darren & Bryan for making our drinks with their blood sweat and tears I will definitely be coming back to this location in the future!
We went here for some late night boba cravings and it did not disappoint! I got the Oreo milk tea with tiramisu salted cheese (def recommend this!!) & my friend got a regular milk tea -- both were yummy. There were still a few groups coming in at the time, but the staff got us our drinks fairly fast. I would lower sweetness to 75% so it's not too sweet, but otherwise will be coming back to try other drinks.
After a day of shopping and having lunch, I wanted a to freak a fruit tea before going home. I found a Happy Lemon next to Panda Express, in the same shopping center I was at. I've never been to a Happy Lemon before. I as warmly welcomed and greeted when I entered the store. There is plenty on seating inside. Besides drinks they offer bubble waffles. I checked out the menu. I decided to order the grapefruit green tea with 25% sweetness and minimal ice. My drink was ready in less than 5 minutes. It was $6.95. My grapefruit green tea was so refreshing and delicious. It really hit the spot. I enjoyed drinking it on my way home. I would definitely come here again. read more

I consider this location (Coleman) one of the better quality locations for Happy Lemon & it's our preferred location. For the first time ever, ever, ever in my history of ordering boba drinks, and this particular drink, the D5 (Boba Milk Tea w/Puff Cream), they put the honey boba on the top! So was a good chunk of the puff cream. Typically the puff cream will have some nice yummy lumps of puff cream at the bottom. Then it's smeared along the inside of the cup. This is important because of how one enjoys his drink. You are deliberate with the straw, & strategically slurping up chunks of creamy puff cream alongside the milk tea. Because of the honey boba & puff cream being at the top/mostly at the top, the drink became this cloudy mumbled mess. Definitely a major let down, especially since I pay for extra puff cream too. read more

After a day of volunteering, i wanted something cold and refreshing. And the mango lemon slushy fulfilled what i wanted. It was a little sour and little sweet. The lychee jelly was quite a surprise. Service was quick and easy. Got my drink rather quickly. There are a few table and chairs inside. But it was a bit noisy inside so i just decided to take my drink to go. read more

We went here for some late night boba cravings and it did not disappoint! I got the Oreo milk tea with tiramisu salted cheese (def recommend this!!) & my friend got a regular milk tea -- both were yummy. I love happy lemon. I've tried a few drinks and can't believe this is my first review. Service is fast. It's always clean and organize when I stop by. They take Apple Pay. My favorite are the freshly squeezed lemonades. read more

This was my first experience with Happy Lemon so I had no idea what to expect. When I pulled up the lot was full but luckily I was able to find a spot as someone was leaving. Either way it's in a plaza so your bound to find parking just may have to walk a bit, okay product time. The line was coming out of the door which was what I expected after reading some reviews. It was slightly confusing because you couldn't tell if people were waiting for their orders or in line to place an order (signs would be helpful or social distancing markers). I was in line for about 10 mins and there's a menu outside near the door so your not clueless when you get inside. I choose the Oolong Salted Cheese and added Boba. Overall the drink was okay. I'm a big tea fan and didn't get a full oolong flavor and I still have no idea what part was "salted cheese". I'll have to do some digging. It is pretty cool you can modify the ice amount and sweetness so it's def worth a try. I'll go back and try a more popular drink to see what the hype really is about. read more
This is the happy lemon I usually go to and have had really good drinks. I think today was an off day. Got 3 drinks. D4 - boba milk tea with puff cream 25% sugar. One of my usuals and was good as usual. E11- mango boba green tea: bitter so I think they overbrewed the tea. Got this before and it was really good, not today. S2 - dragon fruit lychee: bland and watery. I ordered this because it's a new drink I've never tried before. I think they forgot the lychee in my drink because there was no lychee flavor at all. Not even a hint. Won't be ordering this drink again. I'll still be back to this location to order my usual drinks but not the S2 or E11. read more

I love that they have a location so close to my work. It's located in the Coleman plaza. Plenty of parking, you might just have to walk a little bit. I've never seen a line at this location maybe one or two people in front of you at most. They have plenty of tables and chairs, though I never see anyone hanging out at this location. Drinks always come out pretty quickly, I was in and out within 5 minutes. I got the most popular drink, Black tea with salted cheese. If you've never had they salted cheese before, it might sound weird, but it works and it's good! It's more of a creamy cheese foam and not salty at all. Just make sure you tilt the cup enough so you're drinking both tea and salted cheese. If you don't, all you'll get is salted cheese foam and that won't be very good. The drinks are on the sweet side, so adjust accordingly if you don't have a sweet tooth. read more

One "unhappy lemon..." Brought my family here to this establishment for some refreshments and light snacks. Sat down inside and consumed our food items and drinks. Upon cleaning up, I looked around for a trash can to dump our trash, but could not locate one inside. I then proceeded to ask the staff where are their trash receptacles so that we could toss our stuff. Staff could not give us an answer so we did our best to round up our trash and left it on the table for staff to clean since there were no trash cans inside the establishment. As we walked towards the exit another unknown Asian male said we needed to take our trash with us. I asked, "where are your trash cans?" to which the employee said, "Bring your trash with you and clean up after yourselves Mind you I made every conscious effort to throw away our trash as you should at most food establishments..... If they had a trash can. I requested to speak to the manager later named "Brian" who informed me that the store does not have any trash cans available to the customers. He suggested we look for a public trash can outside in the parking lot. I asked Brian where do employees throw their trash away and he said, "We have trash cans for ourselves." I am reporting this to the Santa Clara County Health Department as a health issue. I have never been to any retail food establishments where NO trash cans are available to the customers for them to throw away their trash. Not safe and definitely not clean. read more

Came by for milk tea the other day and it was a tasty experience. This location is tucked away, behind Panda Express, which made it difficult to find. Parking was plentiful in the plaza. Service was quick and easy. They do take the points cards that can be used at other Happy Lemons. The milk tea with pearls was perfect, just like other locations with milk tea that wasn't too sweet with 0 added sugar and pearls which were perfectly chewy. $3.75 for the boba milk tea. read more
This was my first time trying Haply Lemon and it was delicious! I got the Strawberry Shortcake drink with lychee jelly ($7.75). It is a bit on the pricier side however I believe it is really worth it as I enjoyed it very much. The taste of the strawberry with the puff cream was so sweet and refreshing. Staff was really nice and quick with the orders. It is a bit difficult to find parking since it is in a plaza and the place is tiny so I recommend taking it to go! I can't wait to again to try other items on the menu. read more

I'm officially addicted to their salted cheese over unsweetened iced tea. All of the signature drinks I have tried have never been disappointing. I think this is the only boba chain that is consistent across all it's South Bay locations. This Happy Lemon is in a great location and parking is usually a breeze. There are a lot of essentials in the same plaza (Banking, Target, Marshalls, Office Depot, PetSmart, etc.) so grab a liquid dessert to aid you while you're running those house errands. Remember to try the salted cheeeeeeese! read more
My first time coming here. Happy Lemon has a pretty diverse menu selection, but the fresh squeezed lemon teas caught my eye because you don't see that often at boba places (or at least I never see them on menus). The drink was pleasantly sour, but you can vividly taste the green tea. It was very very sweet, which I didn't enjoy too much, but the more I drank it the less off putting it became. Next time I'll be sure to ask for less sweet, then it would be perfect. 4/5 :) read more

You get a Happy Lemon, YOU get a Happy Lemon, ALL OF SAN JOSE GETS A HAPPY LEMON! There's no wonder why this franchise is so successful; their drinks are GOOD. This location is no exception. This is in the plaza near BJ's and Target and Trader Joe's so it's in a good vicinity and not much boba competition! My favorite is the A5 when I'm feeling like an indulgent mood. The staff is nice and service is quick! read more

Yup! Some of the options they have will have hot options. I believe it's marked "H" on the menu compared to the Medium and Large price for the cold drinks
Do they have non-dairy milk choices (as in soy, almond, cashew, oat, etc)?
I think now they have soy milk :)
