I liked the cup style--although you can't punch through the top which means you probably can't put it in the cup holder of your car, but for me I'm okay with waiting until I get home. Maybe they should redesign the lid to accommodate for this? Bought 2 drinks last 1/7/26, A Nitro House Coffee and A Jasmine Nitro Green Milk Tea. It's both for me. I had the coffee first and it was good like usual. But when I had the Jasmine Nitro Green Milk Tea after lunch time my first sip I had to spit. It had a foul taste like a spoiled milk/half and half or whatever they mixed with the green tea. I've had it before I know what it's supposed to taste like. This place is so incredible yummy! It has one of the biggest menu selections that I've seen at a tea shop, and I go to a lot of tea shops. My partner ordered their mangonada and I got their peach yakult drink with brown sugar boba, and it's exactly what we expected and more. The boba is so yummy and sweet and has the perfect chewiness level. The ambiance is also very nice with colorful lighting. I hate leaving bad reviews, but... I first discovered R&B Tea at the Valley Fair Mall, and it was love at first sip. When I heard they opened a Milpitas location, I was thrilled--it's much closer to where my family lives, and I made it a regular stop every time I visit the Bay. However, lately, I've noticed a decline in both the service speed and the quality of the drinks. During my most recent visit, I was the only customer in the store before a wave of others came in. Despite this, it took over 20 minutes for them to prepare my one drink, which is incredibly frustrating. I used to work in food service, so I get that things can get busy, but this was an extreme wait time when it was quiet. Additionally, the taste of my drink hasn't been consistent with the one I enjoyed at the Valley Fair location, even though I always order the same thing. I know there was only one worker making drinks, and I don't think our drinks were too complicated (a strawberry milk tea, a nitro Ube coffee, a mango slush, and an oolong tea). But it did take long and felt bad that the people who came after us had to wait pretty long for their 2 drinks. I was so pissed when I saw hair inside my cup. I ordered my favorite drink Dragon fruit stormy with boba. I was enjoying my drink sitting down in front of the tv watching and for some reason i looked at my cup and try to rub the hair and it wasn't moving!!! I looked again and tried to move the hair. If you love fruit tea and nitro drinks, then I'd definitely recommend coming here. I'm not sure how the reviews are so low but my drinks always come out good. Before visiting the location the first time, I've only ordered through DoorDash. To also preference, I always ordered my drinks at the lowest sweetness level (25%) with half or full ice. I also mostly order fruit teas. I love N7's nitro fruit teas and so I'm glad this location has different flavors from N7. They have a lot of unique fruit flavors like dragonfruit, durian, kumquat, soursop, etc. It is Vietnamese owned and so I presume that's why these popular fruits are on the menu here. They also have sugarcane drinks which is amazing! I definitely do recommend lowering the sweetness level because even at 50%, it's way too sweet imo. The interior is absolutely amazing compared to other R&B's I've been to. The space is super big and there's plenty of seating for large groups. They have wifi too so I'm sure it's perfect for working as well. They have board games which is nice! I think if it was not in the area it's in, it would be a more popular spot to visit. The oolong milk tea and classic milk tea are good choices for first timers. At 70% sweetness, they're plenty tasty and you can still taste the rich tea flavor. What is a turn off, however, is that they actually charge you more for ice reduction. It's scaled so if you want less ice, say 50%, they charge you 50 cents. No ice is a whopping dollar more. As a new customer, this alone was nearly enough reason for me to almost abandon this place and choose another boba spot. After all, it's quite a saturated market here in the East Bay/South Bay. 'Nickel and dime'-ing your customers is not the way to win over new customers nor is it a way to bring back return customers. I would be curious to compare the iced and non iced options to see the difference. Nevertheless the bottles are interesting. They are capped with what looks like a soda can top where you have to flip to break the seal. And because of the material used for the bottles, they're sturdier and easier to hold. They're packaged securely in their little compartmentalized plastic bags too so no fear of mishaps in transit. They also serve a number of different items including fruit teas, snacks like chicken, calamari, and takoyakis, and desserts like cakes and pudding. I didn't get to try them this time around but when I'm in the area again, I might consider giving those a chance...unless I'm turned off by their extra no ice charge again... I finally had to go over there and read each label to find mine. Look, I get it - it was a Thurs afternoon, they're bored, whatever. Went to try this place after getting boba from the Sunnyvale location. What can I say, love their coffee bobas. . The egg cream, with 50% sweetness just hits the spot right. This boba shop opened in the past year and it seems they are still figuring things out. I won't criticize anything too harshly because there were three employees in training at the time I came. The shop is clean and has cute decorations all around the store. Quick tip, they offer a 15% discount to students who show them their school ID, which I took advantage of. I think this boba shop has a lot of potential in the coming years, but as of right now, they are still in the process of training, which resulted in our drinks being okay. Matcha Nitro Milk Tea: The matcha powder wasn't dissolved fully and I sipped up small chunks of matcha as I drank my drink. The flavor was decent, but I think dissolving the matcha would've made the matcha flavor in the drink. The boba is a bit mushy for my taste, but overall it was not the best. Lychee Nitro Green Tea: This was supposed to be a Lychee Nitro Green Milk Tea, but they trainees made it wrong. We felt bad because they had to flip through a binder for the ingredients of the drink and just took the drink anyways. I can say though this is a really good green tea. There are lychee fruit chunks in the tea, which brings out the flavor of lychee a lot. We got crystal boba in this and it paired very well with the lychee green tea. Durian Cane ($7.95): We ordered 3 of these and they didn't come because they ran out of durian. Smashed Avocado With Durian ($9.49): So this drink came with a 30% gap on top and 50% of the liquid so we were ripped off. My mom said it was alright and that they used durian powder. Spicy Popcorn Chicken ($8.37): This was not spicy, the chicken is a darker color, and the taste was horrible. I'd rather eat Costco's popcorn chicken.
