While waiting, my friends and I were admiring the store decor and I loved their figures from gundams, smiskis, Pokémon cards, and more on the counter and dividers. So much personality for the store. I love sunright it's one of my favorite chains for boba! I got the mango frostie and added brown sugar boba and did 75% sweetness. I didn't realize that it had lychee jelly as well so i accidentally got 2 toppings oops! The drink was perfect for a summer day and was honestly pretty sweet even for 75%. I like how spacious this location is compared to Union City, but there are no tables to sit at other than a wooden, round bench in the middle. I only come here mostly for their promotional drinks. All from online video games that I have never heard of, coming from a 90s-early 2000s Nintendo player. These types of promotions last up to 20 days, so there will be a limited supply of their game code redemption cards and other gifts, such as printed coasters. For the Wuthering Waves promo, I tried their Charlotta Strawberry Lemonade. Mind you, I still don't know who the characters are as a Millennial, but that fruity drink was refreshing. I ordered it at 25% sweetness; it was a bit sour, like drinking the lemon juice with a quarter of the strawberry juice. I could tell they used fresh fruits, and the crystal boba was chewy like gelatin. For the Honkai Star Rail promo, I got Blade Karmic Chocolate Matcha, which was chocolate cream foam on top of a matcha latte, and Kafka Blushing Blueberry Splendor, a blueberry smoothie with cheese foam and jasmine tea jelly, back in August 2023. The matcha kept me awake, and the blueberry smoothie was better. So sad they ran out of coasters and stickers, so I left with game redemption codes. Ordering from the kiosk was an easy process, as it was conveniently located next to the door. The decor was cute for taking pictures. When I heard about a boba shop with the word "Studio", the black background setting came into my mind until I entered inside which is all yellowish inside. There wasn't really much seating inside but it's quite different because of how they're shaped. Not much decorations though besides the action figures they displayed and they do have kiosks, but the issue is that they tend to wobble back and forth whenever I touch the screen. Also the screen faces at 90 degrees instead of facing slightly upward. So it's hard for me to navigate through the menu especially when I'm taller. However, I do like the boba here though. I didn't get their signature boba but instead got the regular Ceylon Milk Tea because I'm not really a big fan of adding toppings and that it can take up too many calories. Maybe I can try it next time, but I think it's Ceylon Milk Tea with toppings I'm probably not familiar with. read more

Ordered four drinks - two of their classics (White Peach milk tea and Jasmine milk tea) and a plain Jasmine Green tea and Winter Melon tea. All super solid - last time I had Sunright was down in LA, and it was as good as I remember - pretty strong tea flavor and good chewiness to the boba. Sunright is one of the better Boba spots in the Bay Area and it's definitely a must visit. The quality seems to be consistent with their different locations. I've had the opportunity to try most things on the menu but my favorite is the grape frosty, which unfortunately seems to be a seasonal item. The menu is extensive enough to where there should be something for everyone as there are your more traditional choices, as well as, some fusion (East meets West), creative new drinks. Sunright uses high quality ingredients, many of which are locally sourced in California. And yes, you can absolutely tell the difference! This is also because they don't cut corners and costs during the prep. The staff is always on top of things and even when there are long lines, they always work diligently and quickly while maintaining the high quality standard. This location itself is bigger than most grab and go locations but it's still fairly limited in size and seating. My partner and I came to Sunright because I really wanted to try their pistachio series. The matcha latte with pistachio foam interested me the most and I think it was really good! The pistachio foam made the drink so creamy and nutty, and there were also some pieces of pistachio in the drink. My partner got the dubai chocolate frostie because it seemed different from the other two drinks. We both thought it was ok; it tasted just like chocolate milk lol the little pieces of kataifi was interesting but he said it was annoying at the end of drinking it because it all collected at the bottom of his drink. The spots are also just a bit small which makes parking a bit scary. Whenever I've gone the past few times, drinks basically come out so fast. It's kind of amazing. Decent enough drinks and boba, and a surprisingly substantial feeling cup (I felt weird throwing it away, like maybe I was supposed to wash it and bring it back). I tried the Oolong Cheese Foam, and it was decent. I'm not sure about the whole shaking 17 times thing (I kind of like the slow transition between the tea and the cheese foam), but I suppose I will have to try that next time and get a non-cheese drink so the mixing makes more sense to me. I was getting boba after a lunch at Raw, so this was a good dessert for me! The location is spacious, but seems really clearly set up to discourage hanging around. There's some stadium-like seating in the back with a few small accent tables to put your drink down, but it's just an oddly empty space. They're definitely set up much more for to go orders, so if you were hoping to sit and chat, this doesn't seem like the place for it. The workers are hidden behind a counter stacked with decorations and supplies, and you order via a kiosk, so you really don't have much interaction with the workers (which could be a plus, too). Also, I usually get 30% sweetness, and a couple of times after I try my drink, I can taste that the bobaristas made it closer to 100% sweetness. I was worried since there was already a line forming outside the store but once it opened, the line divided into two due to the two kiosks near the front of the store. The ambiance was good and the music was not overly distracting while in line. I ended up getting Zayne's drink (lemon jasmine tea with jasmine jelly) and my friend got Caleb's drink (cosmic apple fragrant oolong with honey boba) since we wanted fruit teas. Zayne's drink was bitter, tart, and sweet from the lemon and I wish I got less sweet rather than 100% like recommended. Caleb's drink tasted so much better than Zayne's due to the apple, but I would also prefer getting less sweet for that option as well. Quick and consistent! I almost always get the Sunright boba milk tea. Their boba is so good! Just the right amount of sweetness and chewiness, never too soft or too hard. I order online and it's always ready when I get there. I only wish they allowed custom instructions on the online orders. I have come here on several occasions to try their refreshing fruit tea selection during the hot summer days. My favorite is their mango sunright tea. I opt for less ice, 0% sugar and no toppings and it's perfect that way. The mango adds enough sweetness to the drink. On one occasion I ordered for to go via doordash and unfortunately the drink did not have the same consistency in terms of flavor which is disappointing. Not sure if that was solely due to ordering online. But everytime that I have ordered in person it has turned out the same. Another good option from their fruit tea is their classic sunright fruit tea option which is also a customer favorite. It has more of a citrusy flavor from the orange, passionfruit and lemon. I have heard good things about their strawberry tea as well and would be open to trying it next time. They have some casual seating so we enjoy sitting and chatting as we always come in a big group.
