Latina Baddie and Yellow sweet potato mochi.
Vincent N.

I roll by here on my bike randomly at night and get drinks and mochi. They have a ton of drinks with funny names and they are really good. Tonight I got their new Latina Baddie. I just know it has peach and lychee. Crazy combo. It's super good. The yellow sweet potatoe mochi is bomb too. Theyre from Japan the owner says. I've tried several flavors now and theyre all really good. It's vegan friendly. I will continue to come back and try more flavors.

My bestie and I were looking to get dessert after dinner and decided on this place. Love how it's open late and there's a huge variety of drinks, gelato, and mochi! Owner is friendly and hilarious. We opted for gelato, but I'm looking forward to trying a drink next time. The gelato was delicious and a perfect light dessert post-dinner.

There is plenty of parking in this area. There's a decent amount of seating inside and can be good for bigger groups. The owner was interesting. He didn't acknowledge us and just stared at us when we came in. When he did talk to us, just as the other reviews mentioned, he mentioned the great reviews and recognitions. He said if we didn't liked the drinks, he would refund it. Overall, the drinks here are expensive and just tasted okay. I got two fruit teas with boba which ended up being more than $20+. You can't really taste the tea, and it tasted more like a really sweet fruity water. There is an extra charge if you use a credit card which I wished the owner would have told us.

Tony Tony Tony! The man behind the business. New name to go live soon. Went last night with friends, and my friend's son got a gelato (which the gelato will be going away soon). My friend wanted a drink, and Tony told my friend Tony knows what drink to get my friend . All my friend had to do was say he wanted something without dairy. After making the drink, the story behind the drink transpired. At the end, he said "I Ain't Your Daddy"! (Note: i do not wanna spoil the story for others. I laughed when I heard it!). My friend let me try some after he tasted it. Pretty good sweet tea flavor with popping and regular boba, among other toppings and flavors. I was going to get gelato since it was going away, but Tony convinced me to get a drink. He asked what type I wanted, and I said smoothie. Tony asked if I liked sầu riêng, and I emphatically said yes. I knew this was gonna be good! After Tony poured the hot boba into the cup to check its legitimacy, he finished up the drink. Sweet and with a hint of sầu riêng, without an overpowering flavor. (Note: let my almost 20 month old try a couple sips at 7p, such a bad idea as he was hyped before going to bed!!). 10/10 would come back again! Thanks Tony for being #1!

I got the Thai Tit Tea, and Bitch I'm a star.

Really great experience at Saltea. Tony, the owner, was super welcoming from the second we walked in and just has a really fun, charismatic personality. There are a ton of great options here, and a lot of the drinks have really interesting names with stories behind them, many inspired by his own customers. Tony actually took the time to tell us some of those stories, which made the whole experience feel a lot more personal and memorable. The ambiance is really chill too. Everything feels clean and well kept, with Buddhist statues throughout the space, good vibes, and a bunch of cool collectibles you can actually buy, including Labubus and other Pop Mart-style items. It gives the place a lot more personality than your typical coffee or tea shop. He's the type of owner who would take really good care of his customers and make sure people leave happy. You can tell he's genuinely dedicated to what he does, and the fact that Saltea is open late makes it even better. Definitely my number one coffee and tea spot around here. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and an owner who genuinely cares about the people who come in. Hermés

I stopped by for a quick dessert. Owner was very helpful in explaining everything was letting us sample. Ice cream was my favorite item here. Everything tasted like made with good ingredients. Fruit flavored ice creams was slightly more expensive than the others. I went for sapodilla which tasted authentic. He mentioned, he will stop this flavor after this month. Honey lavender was the most flavorful ice cream I had. Almond crunch was really good as well. I never liked genmaicha flavor. But this guy made it very well. Finally I went for a mango mochi ice cream, which was excellent as well. Everything was slightly more expensive, but the quality was good.

The owner's super funny and guaranteed we'd love their drinks or we don't pay (obviously we all paid cause the drinks were good). Best thing is that it's not too sweet!

I love that this spot stays open late -- not a lot of places around here do, so it's perfect for those post-dinner cravings. I've seen some reviews saying the owner isn't transparent about pricing, but honestly, that wasn't my experience at all. The pricing was clearly listed right at the top when I walked in. Yes, it is a little pricier than some other gelato places (maybe $1-$1.50 more), but for me it was totally worth it, especially for a late-night treat. If you come every day, sure, it'll add up -- but for a one-time visit or an occasional indulgence, it's perfect. The gelato itself is super fresh, sweet, and packed with flavor. They also have some really unique flavors

Matcha Tiramisu

Owner is fantastic! Matcha Tiramisu is delicious and taste kicks in immediately. Offered the drink and if we didn't like we would get a refund. I did not expect the level of service from this place. Almost passed by it. Place looks like a nightclub, large tables for group gatherings.

The new DG "da grussy" is amazing!!! Also the Earle gray boba tea!!

The staff we interacted with were friendly & welcoming. We were nicely greeted by multiple workers. We were also proactively offered assistance & samples of gelato. Every flavor we sampled was incredibly tasty! We ordered a small sized cup of Mixed Berries & a regular sized cup of Coffee Temptation & Chocoviar. The staffer who scooped our order meticulously shaped our gelato into generously portioned mounds & wiped the cup sides clean. They also came with a perfectly tempered dark chocolate piece placed in the top! She didn't rush providing quality though there was a small line. The gelatos were absolutely delicious, so deep & rich in flavor, & wonderfully creamy. We loved our treats! It's a memorable gelato experience because it's so amazingly good!

However, I got a bit curious about it today, wondering if the gelato was truly worth the unusually high price that they were selling it at and the somewhat high-end atmosphere that they were trying to cultivate near its kiosk, so I thought I'd give it a try. They only allow you a grand total of four samples, but trying them made me understand why this place was expensive as it was. The lemon ice cream was the most sour, lemon-tasting lemon ice cream that I've ever had, and the dark chocolate ice cream had a rich, chocolate-y flavor that wasn't too sweet. The memories I had of the other two that I tried are slowly escaping my brain as I write this, but I was pleasantly surprised with them both as well. There were two servers and one of them was much, much nicer than the other (unfortunately I got the less nice one) but both made sure that you got your money's worth by making the cup as full (and also round) as possible. Overall, an interesting experience. I am far too poor to return again, but I wouldn't mind coming back if I got the chance (and maybe if someone else paid).

I could tell she was doing her best to keep the line moving along but felt kind of bad that she didn't have any support. Thankfully, by the time we finally got to the front, another person came out from the back to help scoop, and a third to handle checkout. I planned on getting a medium with two scoops and knew I wanted passionfruit but was torn between lemon and coconut, so I asked to sample both. The lemon was good, but I preferred the creaminess of the coconut, so I went with that. The coconut was yummy, but the passionfruit was amazing. That alone is worth a 5-star review. My mom got the Bombolato with Croccantino Amarena (sweet milk with sour cherries and chocolate chips) and Capriccio (hazelnut with chocolate spread) topped with chocolate and chopped hazelnuts. The seating options are also really limited in the gelato area but luckily we walked to the back and found one open table.

The gelato was so creamy that it's almost hard to believe it's vegan/non-dairy. The flavors were also so on point and pleasant, without being too sweet. I'm not usually a green milk tea OR oreo person but this flavor could easily convert me. I also highly recommend the Black Tea flavor. If I had to pick between the milk tea ice cream from Dr.ink and this, I'll pick this hands-down! It tastes so much more like milk tea to me, who is a "50% sweet, 50% ice" kinda gal. I highly recommend!! Also, check out their Instagram for info on their next flavors/popup location.

We tried the three flavors they had (matcha green tea, matcha green tea with oreo, and jasmine tea with oreo). The matcha green tea base is really good and you taste the matcha green tea. The price is very reasonable too. A cup with 3 small scoops of each flavor for $5. We liked it so much that we went back on Sunday to try the black tea and chai tea flavors. The tea flavors really come through the ice cream. The black tea flavor is subtle though, but I like it.
