My favorite place to go for consistently good quality, good portions, and good prices when I'm craving sushi in SJ. They have a wide variety of rolls on their menu, organized by category (raw, baked, fried, etc.) and each with photos, which I really appreciate. I love getting any of their huge rolls (my favorite is either X-Men or Wolf Tail); they're around $20-21 and fill me up! They also have a great happy hour menu (Mon-Sat from 11:30-5pm) with select $6 or $10 rolls and a few other items. The employees are always sweet and helpful. It's a relatively small restaurant, so waits are typically inevitable especially on weekends.

Came back here another time for my sisters birthday. No complaints. It's good for what you get but don't expect anything too tier.

I've been going here for over a long time now. It gets quite busy around dinner time but usually can get seated asap! There are lots of bar seating which makes it easier. I always come back since the quality is always consistent. I like how convenient it is since the service is quite fast. The rolls are quite huge as well. I got a miso soup (3/5), brandon's roll (4/5), and chicken teriyaki (4/5). I felt like the brandon's roll before had more fish but this time it felt like a smaller portion :o

Cha Cha Sushi still draws a crowd on Capitol Expressway, but this visit felt a little different. It made me wonder if ownership changed. The place was as busy as ever, though the service didn't feel quite as warm. The food seemed less "refined", but rather more hearty--bigger cuts and sweeter sauces. We had a specialty roll topped with fish and scallops that was rich and flavorful, definitely a solid choice. The eel rice bowl came in a big portion and was satisfying. The teriyaki beef ended up being a bit dry and lean for my taste, despite the great presentation. One thing I'll say: they're not shy on portion size. It's still a dependable, neighborhood sushi spot. Perhaps maybe evolving into a more commercial version of itself.

I love cha cha! I love the 49er roll and the lion king roll and idk why they gave me free tea or if I could choose that everytime BUT THEY GAVE ME FREE TEA AND I WAS VERY HAPPY!! Thank you for giving me free tea i love you server woman you are very nice and pretty Food quality hasn't changed in 10 years...ilysm cha cha...but the rolls might be a little smaller tho Ambience is a little loud. And it echos a bit but I don't go anywhere for the ambience, i go for the food.

this is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in the Bay Area for consistently good rolls it had been awhile since I've been back -- my friend and I came around 2pm on a Saturday and there was no wait although the interior is a little small, the staff was very friendly I ordered the 49ers roll and it was as good as I remember -- the fish was very fresh. however, I was a bit thrown off by the price. it was $20 and the other roll I was considering getting was $23 it's been a few years since I last visited so I was surprised by the prices because they definitely went up a lot since my last visit -- I think coming here will become more of a once in awhile treat but I'm glad the sushi is always good whenever I decide to visit

We came around 12pm which was right before the rush. Service is really nice and attentive and between 11:30-5pm is happy hour so some rolls are only $6-$10. We got a red and gold, sake roll, cha cha, GSW, and MVP. All of them really good but I wish there were more raw rolls on the happy hour. Store can get really crowded during lunch but otherwise it's pretty clean.

(San Jose)Food: Brandon's(9.1/10)- Mixed fish & cucumber topped w/ mixed fish, rice crackers, unagi sauce, spicy mayo, tobiko & green onion. Plenty of flavor. I do enjoy the different texture of the variety of dishes. Child plate chicken katsu(7.7/10)- served with miso soup, salad, nice & 2 pcs pork pot sticker. Miso soup was tasty and the katsu is basic. Well priced though for what it included Soft shell crab(9/10)-Deep-fried soft shell crab served w/ ponzu sauce. Very delicious and crunchy. I've never had something like this before. I thought the shells would be hard but it was easy to bite LION KING(9/10)-California roll topped with salmon, spicy mayo, unagi sauce, tobico & green onion. Delicious. Salmon was baked well and great cream portion size. Unagi lovers(8/10)- California roll topped w/ unagi & unagi sauce- made well but pretty basic Mochi green tea and strawberry ice cream(9/10)- it's pricy and small but worth a try. It's not too sweet and you can definitely taste the flavor. Ambience: place is small but has tables for small to mid size group. There's also a single sitter in the bar area Service: servers are kind. It's pretty busy so they don't really check on waters or how the food is. But they do get you whatever you need quickly Price: price is descent and is on the average side. Parking: plenty of parking in front of the restaurant

Kinda small place with a typical neighborhood strip mall sushi spot feel. Came here on a Monday night @ 6pm. Place was full and we waited about 5 minutes for a table to open up. Not bad since there was a decent wait when we left. The food came out fast and overall was good. Mixed tempura- hot dipping sauce and freshly fried. The batter was a bit heavy but ok. Salmon Kama- good just a bit small. It's an appetizer so I guess that's fine. The wolf tail- really big and good. Double tempura shrimp. It was very hard to stuff a whole piece in your mouth so you don't get the full favor of all the ingredients. I did manage to stuff a smaller piece in my mouth and it was good. I almost choked to death. Just a warning. 49er roll- the thinly sliced lemon was a refreshing touch. This was our favorite. The lion king- ok. The baked roll made it a hot mess. Tastes very good if you could keep everything together in one piece. Spider roll- good. Nothing surprising.

I used to come here regularly when I lived in the area years ago but still find myself back here every now and then, it's always a safe spot to get sushi. They're located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking and other shops like Bona Pizza, 85 Degree Bakery, Tastea, and Egghead. The restaurant is on the smaller side and tables can fill up quickly so keep in mind that there might be a wait especially during dinner hours. Interior looks like a typical sushi restaurant, nothing super fancy. Staff are always friendly and attentive and food comes out fast. You really can't go wrong with any of their rolls, we always switch it up depending on how we're feeling that day but we always order either the spicy green mussels or Hawaiian poki salad as an appetizer. Great place to stop by when you're craving for sushi and are looking for a quick lunch/dinner!

Love this place and we always try to eat here if we're ever in San Jose. They get very crowded for dinner, so recommend coming right at 5pm or be prepared to wait or just order takeout. Must order is the 49er roll which comes with fresh salmon and a sliver of lemon on top of a California roll. It is delicious. We've had a fair share of rolls (King Kong, Lion King, Rainbow). Most rolls are massive and delicious!

Everything was 10/10!! The sushi tasted so fresh and they used the right amount of rice. Our favorite was the Superman roll!! The restaurant is on the smaller side. We arrived at 7:23pm to add our name to the waitlist and were seated by 8pm. The server greeted us 2-5 minutes after we were seated and the food arrived about 15 minutes after we ordered. We were really impressed by the food and service. I will definitely be coming back !

Why is the phone always disconnected when I call and online "pick up" ordering is closed? This place is one of my favorite sushi restaurants but it's frustrating when I can never order ahead of time.

We've asked when going in person and the employees have told us it's mostly due to the volume of business they are experiencing and as a result the phone doesn't always get put back on the receiver.

We grabbed the menus ourselves from a nearby table. We originally wanted to try their AYCE, but since the whole table had to participate, and one of us wasn't that hungry, we decided to order a la carte. We're glad we did. The 3 of us were already stuffed after sharing an appetizer and 4 signature rolls. The sweet potato tempura came out piping hot; the batter wasn't too thick. While the dipping sauce lacked flavor, the dish was still ok, and not too oily. We're impressed by the number of signature rolls they offered, and tried to pick something we hadn't seen at other sushi restaurants. My favorite was the lobster tail tempura that came with the Boujee rolls. It was tasty with a light batter. The plating was beautiful. The torched salmon, shrimp tempura and spicy tuna were good as well, but I didn't really see any real crab inside. The Skittles roll was pretty delicious, too. I liked that it had unagi, crab, tobiko, and avocado among other things. The Umami roll also had unagi and carb, but the salmon skin and bonito flakes were what made the roll special. My daughter didn't care for the salmon skin, though. The Black Mamba was interesting if you liked softshell crab. I didn't care for the macadamia nuts, though. Portion size was huge. However, their rolls weren't rolled very tightly nor cut evenly, and their rice was on the sweeter side as other Yelpers had mentioned. Since most of the rolls had similar sauces, they kind of tasted very similar, despite the different ingredients. I wouldn't mind coming back again to try other items on their menu when I'm in the area.

Rolls: These were definitely solid and meet up with the standards around the Bay. So if you have an itch ya need to scratch for good ole 'Murica-style rolls, they gotchu. Special selection: You can only choose one per person. We opted for the Boujee Roll and the Sashimi Salad. The Boujee Roll--an upscale roll made with premium ingredients--was good, and the Sashimi Salad was solid. Nigiri: Left the best for last, but we were disappointed with the quality of this lineup. Knowing that it was the premium addition, the quality wasn't the best--and yes, this is factoring in that it's AYCE, but the texture and taste were still a bit off. Overall, we would come back maybe for the à la carte rolls, or if we do AYCE, we might just stick with the regular option. Birthday Fireworks, Family Memories & Elevated Dining at Trifecta…read more My husband and I celebrated our birthdays at Trifecta this year with our children, and it turned into such a memorable evening. Our neighbors first introduced us to this family-owned gem, and one of the things that keeps us coming back is the genuinely warm and personable service. You can truly feel the care they put into both the food and the dining experience. While my son and I aren't huge seafood or sushi eaters, we can absolutely appreciate the artistry behind Trifecta's sushi. Every dish is beautifully presented, thoughtfully crafted, and made with incredibly fresh ingredients and elevated garnishes. We're just admittedly picky eaters who tend to gravitate toward our comfort favorites like chicken or beef teriyaki. The restaurant is usually packed, so reservations are definitely recommended if you don't want a long wait. Surprisingly, this visit was a little quieter than usual, which made for a nice relaxed atmosphere. My husband and daughter were interested in trying the Chef's Tasting Menu, but we learned it's designed as a full-table dining experience where everyone participates -- something we may plan for another visit. The standout dishes of the night were definitely the corn ribs and chicken karaage. The corn ribs disappeared before I could even snap a photo because everyone devoured them immediately! My family also loved the Pork Adobo Ribs special. I'll admit, Trifecta is more of a special occasion restaurant for us. The bill can climb quickly, especially with multiple sushi lovers at the table, but the quality, creativity, service, and overall experience absolutely reflect that higher-end dining experience. This isn't your average weekly sushi spot -- it's a place you go to celebrate. To top off the night, the staff surprised us with dessert decorated with sparkling light-up fireworks, which made our birthday celebration feel extra festive and thoughtful. The only downside of the evening had nothing to do with the restaurant itself -- unfortunately, a couple at a nearby table was quite loud, drunk, and disruptive. Thankfully, the incredible food and attentive staff still made the night feel special overall. Highly recommended for celebrations, date nights, and anyone looking for elevated food paired with exceptional hospitality.

You order through a QR code on the table and all mobile devices ordering from the same table will have their orders consolidated. Beef Udon stir fry is tasty, but as many have said, on the sweeter side. Loooooove the texture and chew of the udon noodles. Very springy, almost like korean rice cakes or gnocchi.
