This is an adorable matcha spot on Castro street. First off, it's a beautiful plant shop. Second off, they make really great matcha drinks with unique flavors. Bloomsgiving is such a cute concept - part coffee shop, part flower/plant store - and I usually come more for the ambiance than the actual coffee. The space itself is beautiful and aesthetic, and I love browsing the floral arrangements while hanging out. The coffee itself is just okay in my opinion. It tends to taste a little watered down or slightly bitter, though they do have fun and unique flavors like pandan if you're into specialty drinks. They also make the drinks look really cute with a flower on the side. I actually think their matcha drinks are much better than the coffee. This is probably my favorite drop-in coffee spot on Castro Street! The staff is always very friendly and the coffee has a consistent quality that we continue to return for. We really enjoy the foam art and that you get a flower with each cup! It's fun that they also offer plants, which we have picked up and had success with, they also have a solid selection of ceramic pots to purchase for your plants. What a cute concept! A florist coffee shop with a little sprig of happiness taped to every cup. Every time I come, everything is a temptation ... the dried flowers, bouquets, house plants. Bloomsgiving is such a darling concept, I swear I've thought about creating one just like it... in my head.... 10 years ago. Haha. It's combining some of my favorite things: plants, coffee, shopping, pastries, a beautiful place to hang out or study/read. This is a store I stop by every time I was in the area. Every. Time! I don't even need anymore plants or want a drink, but this store has like a giant magnet that always draws me in. Bloomsgiving is a relatively small, boutique-y place with 'just the right amount' of variety of plants. You won't be wandering through aisles upon aisles of plants like in box store garden centers. I always find something interesting to buy, oogle over or gift at Bloomsgiving. At my last visit, I bought my favorite tree here! It was one I had been wanting for....get this... 2 YEARS. It was a rare species to locate in NorCal, and if I ever did find one, the only sizes were tiny 4" pots or giant 6'+ trees. This store had a medium-size tree! The staff member who was on shift that day worked hard: she paid a lot of attention, listened to what I wanted, and carefully wrapped my tree since it had delicate branches that stuck out so it could be safely transported in my car ride home. I can't speak to the drinks and food since I didn't order any. I noticed many people studying inside had ordered coffee drinks, and there was an actual espresso machine so the coffee looked legit! The food selection was very very small though and didn't look as appealing as the food-shaped plushies that sat above it. Prices are on the high side at Bloomsgiving, but that's to be expected in this downtown location and for a boutique plant store. I think this dual concept of serving coffee and selling plants is genius, and it is worth a visit - at least it has been for me! read more

Been wanting to check out Bloomsgiving for a while now! I always walk past their flower-adorned storefront around dinner time when they're already closed, so I finally made it out on a Sunday afternoon. When you walk in, it almost feels like you've stepped into a greenhouse -- surrounded by leafy plants and floral touches. They offer a wide range of classic and specialty drinks, and I went straight for their mixed matcha options: - Blueberry Matcha -- light and well-balanced between blueberry and matcha; not overly syrupy like most blueberry drinks - Pandan Coconut Latte -- one of their specialty lattes; both pandan and coconut flavors came through clearly and it was perfectly sweetened A fun detail I loved: they tape a tiny flower to your drink -- such a thoughtful and fitting touch given the shop's theme. There are a few seats and tables in the center if you want to hang out or study. The atmosphere is peaceful and not too crowded, with tons of natural daylight for both you and the plants. Service was kind and quick. They also do half-off pastries after 2pm, which is a great bonus. I was surprised they close later than most cafes -- 8pm daily, except Sundays at 5pm. Bloomsgiving floral shop with beverage menu has been around for years on Castro Street in Mountain View. It's always gorgeous with all the colorful flowers and green house plants everywhere. Customer service is mostly excellent and welcoming. People like taking photos of their flowers and beverages here. Not bad for a quick tea beverage stop. I just wish they would have tables and chairs inside for customers to sit and chat though. It's a neighborhood flower shop/plant shop. If it were a cafe, then more foot traffic would stop by to view beautiful flowers and plants. They sell note cards, teacups, vases, pottery, and other gift items too. Organized and clean inside. Smaller bouquets for $20 each would make someone special. $80-$120 bouquet selections are plentiful. You can always pick up something special here. All flowers and plants look healthy too. It's a pet friendly environment. Staffs are helpful. They can wrap up gifts as needed. Bloomsgiving is one of a kind for this location. Not cheap for beautiful items. I love stopping here when I'm in downtown Mountain View. DRINKS: Every drink I've had here has been spectacular. Not too sweet but not flavorless. They do lots of fun seasonal mixes too so there's always something new to try. SPACE: Plants and garden tools are such cute additions to this shop. I visited on Saturday around 4pm. There was only one table in the shop. It wasn't very busy that day. The shop itself is very pretty with flowers and plants. I love the fact that you can purchase bouquets here. It felt like being in a lovely greenhouse. I ordered the iced vanilla latte which came with regular milk. The total was $6.35. My drink was ready in around three minutes, which was so quick. I love how they put a cute little flower taped on the side of the cup. It came in one size which was a 16 ounce cup. The drink was milky, sweet, and smooth. With lattes, they tend to be milkier rather than coffee forward. I can taste the coffee, but it's more like sweet milk with coffee. As someone who typically enjoys drinks at 25% sweetness, this is probably comparable to 50% sweetness. One con I have about this place is the use of the paper cup. As I'm slowly sipping the drink, the ice/coldness of the drink is causing the cup to soften and lose some structure. The cup isn't falling apart, but if you were to squish the cup a little, it becomes kind of soft. The staff were friendly, and I had a great experience visiting here. I do wish that they had more seating. This place is definitely more for grab and go orders. There are some parking lots and street parking around the area that is just a short walking distance to the shop. read more

Walk in and you'll see shelves and tables filled with potted plants and propagation essentials. The staff move between cutting and arranging bouquets and running the cafe. There are lots of matcha and latte options. We got the matcha pandan and the lavender chamomile tea. What's so clever is that instead of throwing away scraps from their flower arrangements, they tape them onto the coffee cups. It is a sweet touch. Seating is limited, with only one large table for about 4-6 people. The staff are nice. Pricing for two drinks was around $12. I will say the matcha was good, but I barely got the pandan flavor. I finally visited this original location after bookmarking it for over a year. The floral cafe shop may be small with a shared table, but their matcha is better than their specialty lattes. Their Matcha Sparkler was so refreshing and remained fizzy. I also tried their seasonal Orange Oat Latte, but it had a more coffee taste with less orange essence, just a dried blood orange that I didn't want to eat. There was a nice selection of indoor plants, mini handcrafted home decor, and beautiful bouquets. They were more beautiful to stare at than a bunch of cute guys who came in to check out for succulents. I even took my time to read my favorite book while I shared a table with a few girls who were studying with their laptops. It can be a bit noisy with other customers (mostly couples on a date) having conversations and baristas shaking and stirring drinks, so it's best to bring your noise-canceling headphones if you get distracted easily. I love how the baristas add mini flowers to each cup. It made it very memorable that I deserve self-love and care. This is my favorite plant store (for plants and sometimes planters/potters) in all the south bay/Santa Clara county, maybe even ever. It's not the biggest - but it's great. A lovely couple owns this shop - the husband gave me a great soil recipe for my plant (couldn't find the exact recipe online- he knows his stuff, I haven't seen him in some time.. but his soil potting ratios are golden.. I lost the exact recipe he first gave me and did ask his wife.. but will have to ask him later on). There was something he did recommend that I was initially internally skeptical nor didn't know anyone else who did what he was saying but knew he was the professional (not I) so I took the leap without questioning him and my plants have been thriving. They now have a shop in Redwood City as well - I'll be checking it out sometime as I'm usually all around the bay.. south, east, peninsula, the city. - The reason this shop is my favorite because the quality of plants; I've been to some shops in the South Bay where whomever supplied the business's plants - weren't of great quality, super infested, or clearly poor quality prorogations to be sold. There are some great finds in the area. But, this one takes the gold and one that I can trust and vouch for. There are pet friendly plants as well, I believe there is something for everyone at this gem. And their drinks aren't so bad! read more

They have an amazing selection of plants as well as flower bouquets and even greeting cards. They also have coffee and pastries. A florist/nursery and cafe?! I love this little shop, the ambiance is so fresh and inviting. After seeing in other photos that they add a little flower taped to the side of your cup, I was sold since I think that is such a sweet and unique gesture. I ordered an iced spiced vanilla/lavender oatmilk latte, it was heavenly. I'm not always a fan of floral syrups, however this one was not overpowering and was the perfect ratio of flavors. Yay! They have a great variety of different flavors such as pandan which isn't common to find. The pandan is slightly sweet with a subtle nuttiness and is excellent. The Pumpkin Dulce sounds like it's super sweet but it really isn't, Service is nice and will gladly alter the coffee to your preferences if that's what you need.
