This is a cool coffee shop with excellent vibes. I saw a bunch of people sitting and working on cubicles. There is even a self ordering kiosk behind them, even if they could have just got up and ordered in the front. Not sure if the engineers are startup founders. But it is cool to see a coffee shop that looks like office. Even in the front I found people just pitching and explaining software concepts. As for drinks, I went with an iced pistachio cream matcha latte. It was a good drink, could have been stronger on both pistachio and matcha flavors. I loved the Honey Cake. It was soft and fluffy.
Tons of seating and free wifi make this a great place to work or study. The cafe is also very quiet, making it easy to focus. Their menu includes both coffee and matcha drinks. I tried the matcha latte, while my friend got the chocolate cream cold brew. We arrived pretty late (around 8 pm), so we were able to get 50% off selected pastries and desserts. Honestly, the bakery items were much better than the drinks. The drinks are made by a robot, which is fun to watch, but the flavors still need a lot of improvement. That said, it's still a great place to study, and I'd definitely come back, I'd just stick to the bakery next time.

Cute wooden aesthetic, but sitting on my wooden stool hurt after a bit. The back also has white boards along the walls for those who find that helpful. Free wifi and lots of outlets. There are also tablets to order from placed throughout the cafe. Free 2-hr street parking outside, plus free 2/3-hr lots depending on what zone in downtown you're in. I was able to find parking pretty quickly, but it can definitely be busy depending on when you go. -iced pistachio cream latte (4/5): only comes in medium or large. I appreciated how customizable their drinks are (#shots, syrup, and the usual milk/ice), it's similar to Starbucks in that way. Overall the drink was good, nothing crazy. The pistachio cream didn't taste artificial which I appreciated, but the coffee could've been more aromatic Overall, a cute spot to do work or hang out with friends. Drinks are on the pricier end (~$8), but would be open to going back to try other drinks
I didn't realize this place was robot made so I may have picked a real barista but I already paid so I'm trying it. The girl at the counter was friendly and helpful. She was by herself for a little bit so you had to order on the tablet. I was able to customize my pistachio cold brew to just a little bit of vanilla syrup which was nice. The pistachio cold foam wasn't too sweet but the flavor was a little light. Glad I got to try it though. It did get busy after a got there.

Ambience is what sells this place. Long layout, warm lighting, lots of wood. Some tables say "no laptops" but people ended up ignoring it, and the comfy laptop spots in the back were filled up. Staff was friendly, though a machine is doing most of the drink making. Good spot to work if you're nearby, otherwise not worth going out of your way for.

Several seating for individuals and longer tables for groups. Outlets are available as well as white boards on the wall! A perfect place to get work done. It's not loud, with soft music playing in the background. I haven't tried too many of the drinks here, just a regular soy latte, which was good. I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a quiet place to sit and work.
Parking is a bit difficult, but there are plenty tables around to do work. It was a busy afternoon when I went. There's a self serve kiosk and it was fun to watch the robots make my drinks. There's also a really good selection of drinks, pastries, and snacks. For tables, there are places specifically noted not for laptops. I was able to journal here and relax. I ordered a pistachio latte and enjoyed the creaminess of my drink. My spinach and cheese danish was so perfect!

It gets the cup, adds ice if it's a cold drink, gets the coffee / drink, and puts the cup down. It's fun to watch it zoom around. There are iPad kiosks but you can also order with the baristas if you want. I tried the iced vanilla latte with decaf and thought it was fine. I did one less pump of syrup (so, 2 pumps in total vs 3) and I still found it a bit sweet so I'd try 1 pump next. My spouse got the iced pistachio latte. It was a bit sweet. He said he couldn't taste the espresso too much (but we did get decaf).
A robot made my hot chocolate this morning. So you place your order on a touch screen, pay on the same screen, and the robot moves a cup to a machine which makes your drink then sets it on a counter. A human calls out your name. So this is basically ordering your drink from a vending machine and it tastes like it.

While strolling around Downtown Palo Alto, I was wanting matcha but decided to try a different cafe than where I'd normally go. I passed by Yummy Future especially since someone on yelp mentioned they liked the matcha here better than Maruwu Seicha. There's so much seating in here, and I saw plenty of customers working on their laptops. You can either order on a little order screen or with the barista. Then, a robot makes your drink. I got an iced matcha latte which I thought was fine. Nothing special to be honest. It mostly tasted milky. It's cool to see the robot make your latte and it's a great cafe for getting work done or studying, but I probably won't be back. read more
Wanted to get Matcha at Maruwu, but line was crazy, so decided to try here. Two of us ordered: iced ceremonial matcha 2/5. Flavorless. iced strawberry cream matcha latte $8.50 3.5/5 good, no sweet, but cream super sweet cardamom citrus poppyseed muffin $5 4/5 good, but a bit over priced Quite a bit of seating inside...back of the room/bathroom smells really bad. Fun to have robot assisting, though not fully automated to make the drink. Street parking only. read more

A little gimmicky but fun to watch and the drink actually wasn't too bad. For the price, the cup is fairly big and not mini sized. The place was a bit full for a weekend but I think if it's less crowded on a weekday, it would seem to be a chill place to work from! read more

Tbh I didn't even know a robot was making the drinks haha. This place is really nice inside and has great work tables/spaces. The service I got was friendly and helpful. The matcha latte was bad though. It was too milky so I the matcha flavor wasn't strong enough. Prices are also a little high. My friend got an americano and said it was too watery & not strong enough too.....This may be a great place to work, but the drinks aren't worth coming for unfortunately. read more
Quick take: yummy drinks There's a self serve ordering station or order at the counter with a live person. I ordered the Iced Pistachio Cream Latte with 2 pumps of natural cane syrup. It was delicious. Loved the foamy cream. Definitely will be back since my new job is in this neighborhood. Service was quick and friendly on a Saturday afternoon. Very close to the Caltrain station too. read more

Writing this review based on aesthetics and pastries. I have yet to try their robot barista coffee. I believe it's still a soft opening. Their pastries are yummy, had their plain croissant. Let me rave about the inside tho-- So beautiful and warm. Great place to work and drink or meet a friend. The outside may looks small but it's big inside. Ive seen robot baristas at the airport so I'm curious if these are the same or better. Is it gimicky? Are they just going to pull premade drinks on top? I am curious and will try it one day. read more
This is the perfect place to study and do work!!! Their 10pm closing time is amazing for daytime procrastinators like me. You order your drinks on a tablet and wait for the robot barista to make your drink, a bonus if you're averse to human interaction. I can't wait to come back here and be productive and just soak in the vibes and try out their other drinks. read more
This will definitely be my new go to coffee shop to work at! I got a strawberry matcha, it's definitely a little pricey around $8-9 for a matcha. But the space is great to get work done so pretty worth it and so many outlets for laptops. There's even areas for no laptops. Overall I enjoyed the matcha wasn't too sweet great environment! read more

I always see this place passing by but never tried it until now. I saw the pistachio cream jasmine milk tea online and decided to try it. I purchased the monkey bread and the tea, and I think it was about $14 total for both items. As I was waiting for my drink to be made, I realized all the employees were chit chatting and that's because ... a robot arm was making my drinking lol, so the name is fitting I guess. I'm not really intrigued by these things but it is different. The monkey bread was good warmed up, a little too crispy on top but perfect inside. The cafe seemed chill- saw some people studying. I'd come back here and try other drinks. read more
This was a cute cafe with lots of seating deeper in for you to sit down and work. It's not too loud, but lively enough. The cashier helping us order our drinks was very friendly and she walked us through how to order on the app for rewards instead. We got the pistachio matcha latte and toffee nut vanilla shaken espresso! It was cool to see the robot make our drinks! The pistachio latte was pretty good! Good pistachio and matcha flavor! The toffee nut vanilla was not bad, but it wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be based on the name and the picture. They had some cool drinks on their menu! The cashier said they were unavailable until they perfected it so I might be back to try them when they do! read more

I was a bit taken aback when my drink didn't match the image they advertised. I got a matcha with sesame. It's really bright and distinctive and comes in an actual glass in the advertised photo. But as you can see in my photo, the green matcha and Grey sesame just blend together. Also, I don't like that they only have plastic cups. I also thought it was amusing that they ask for tips when a robot makes your drinks and charge the typical price when the drink comes out of the heavy-duty drink machines available for hotel and workplaces. As for the drink itself, I found it decent. The interior is quite lovely. I'm not sure if I'll come back though given the plastic cups. read more

I think I found my new study spot! Yummy future has plentiful seating, warm lighting, and lots of outlets throughout their cafe. Yummy future's drinks are made by a robotic machine that you can watch make your order. Would give this place a 4.5/5 for the reasons listed below: Food: drinks are delicious! Ordered a lavender cream matcha and strawberry cream matcha, which both had great flavors in the cream! Would 100% order again. Will have to try the pastries next time I'm here. Service: Staff are friendly and attentive to needs; worked super quickly to refill the toilet paper in the bathroom. Ambiance: Cozy and clean, with lots of warm lighting and seating. Minus 0.5 stars because food was a bit pricier than expected ($8 for a medium cup of matcha with oat milk). Parking: lots of available street parking. Plan in advance to come during peak dinner and lunch hours since it gets busy! read more

Lots of options for coffee and matcha. The coffee is yummy and strong. However, the matcha is not good/strong. I would rather go to Maruwu Seicha down the street. Cute inside with a decent amount of seating. drinks come out quickly even during weekends. Prices are fair for the size ($7). read more
It is not clear to me exactly what this establishment is trying to do, but nevertheless I think it is great. The sandwiches and pastries are all delivered from nearby vendors (Manresa and Sprout Cafe, I believe) rather than made in-house, but the interior is spacious, warm, and inviting, and with a definite techno-modernism that is surprisingly uncommon in Palo Alto. There's a great deal of space to work, and indeed the space invites you to stay and linger. I hope to see it thrive! read more

Very friendly staff who were there to advise on drinks and food, though the shop itself is highly automated--you order on a tablet and drinks are made by a robot. It's a very modern, cute spot, great for chatting or getting some work done. I ordered the black sesame iced matcha, which was tasty, but I personally would've liked it a bit sweeter. read more

Cool concept cafe. There's a robot that makes the drink base and a barista who adds the cream on top. The drink itself was good with a delicious creamy top layer. The matcha was high quality and had good flavor. However this drink with oat milk was already $9 before tip. Pricey for what you're getting read more

Really nice cafe with lots of seats inside! The service at the Yummy Future was also amazing - we came to see the matcha being made by the robot and it was a fun experience. The matcha itself felt a little thinner but my latter wasn't too sweet. The workers are very nice! read more

Futurist cafe in downtown Palo Alto is here, next to Verve Cafe! Interior is spacious and clean. Robotic arm automated the drink after I completed order. Good solution for overhead! read more
