A Hidden Gem in Sunnyvale -- Stunning Arrangements and Truly Exceptional Service! The Flower Cottage is an absolute treasure. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the most beautiful selection of fresh, artfully arranged flowers -- perfect for any occasion. Whether it's a celebration, a thoughtful gift, or just a way to brighten your home, every arrangement Grace and her team create is elegant, vibrant, and full of heart. Grace, the owner, delivers a level of customer service that's rare these days -- she takes the time to understand exactly what you're looking for and somehow always exceeds expectations. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and it shines through in every bouquet and interaction. And perhaps best of all -- The Flower Cottage is dog-friendly! My dog, Riley, absolutely loved visiting the shop (see "Delivery Dog" photo below) and instantly bonded with Grace. It's clear that pets (and their humans!) are warmly welcomed here, making each visit even more special. I can't recommend The Flower Cottage highly enough -- for the quality of their flowers, their artistry, and their kindness. This is the kind of small business that makes you feel part of the community and leaves you smiling every time you stop by. read more

Wonderful florist. After being scammed by another florist, The Flower Cottage made me feel so much better about making this order over the phone and at a very reasonable price. They then far exceeded my expectations with this memorial heart arrangement. I think this will touch many hearts. They really picked flowers that were suitable for this event that is a celebration of a life. I really can't thank them enough for this and getting it delivered perfectly on time. read more

Wow! What a great experience. Went in with a top hat and asked the man and woman there to help me make it festive for a holiday party. They were inquisitive and asked what I had in mind, and were very helpful when I said I kind of just wanted a sprig of something fun that would really make the hat pop. They went in back and came out to clarify, "is a plaid pattern ok?" Yes! Minutes later they returned with a gorgeous arrangement that fit nicely in the spot on the top hat that normally holds a feather. They first asked if that was what I was after, and when I said, "Yes, this is amazing!," they gave me a very fair price. Really excellent customer service. They have loads of great things in the shop, so I will return there when I want a nice arrangement. Very happy to have found them. Great people, great products, great service, and great prices. Cannot be beat! read more

I placed a phone order for flowers with Flower Cottage, something I rarely do. I was asked how much I wanted to spend and left the rest up to them. The flowers were beautiful and delivered in a timely manner. I would highly suggest them. read more

The florist I had used for years changed ownership and my last experience with them was less than satisfactory. I discovered The Flower Cottage on Yelp with some informative reviews. Their website displayed a wide array of arrangements at reasonable prices. I called them and ordered two arrangements for a memorial service at a nearby church. The person I spoke with was courteous and knowledgeable. I was pleased that they had worked with the church before and knew the procedures (e.g., location, date and time of delivery, and contact person). The floral sprays they delivered looked like what they had advertised on their website. The flowers were fresh and beautifully arranged. I will use The Flower Cottage for my next event. read more

I was planning flower arrangements for my mother's funeral. I encountered outstanding service beginning to end. From our first phone call to our in-store consultation, all of our contacts were kind, welcoming, professional and efficient. I came in with colors in mind. The owner showed me some examples in a book. I pointed out which arrangements I liked, and she said she could customize them to match our color choices. The turned our EXACTLY as I requested. She really listened. Just beautiful. And importantly, I had a limited budget that I stated up front, and she said she could make flower selections to stay in budget. When I phoned in a few days later to make payment, I asked to add 6 boutonnieres and 2 corsages for my mother's 8 living children. She did not charge any extra for the addition to the order. 10 outta 10! So grateful! read more

My go-to florist in the Bay Area! I had a wonderful experience with The Flower Cottage. The quality of their arrangements are the best. In addition to their flowers, their staff are **chefs kiss**! A small error was made on an order, and they were gracious, kind, and went above and beyond with their customer service! They genuinely care about providing their customers with a quality product and services. read more

Gone are the days when I'd stop by Safeway or Lucky to pick up some flowers for Mom and Grandma's special days. I know it'll be crowded and most have had their pick. This year, I decided to start supporting local flower shops because it's fast and convenient to order online. A little warning though: it is more expensive than traditional grocery store flowers. Bouquets already come with a keepsake vase and actual florists artistically craft the arrangements. We're paying for art here. My first purchase was the vibrant birthday bash bouquet with an included balloon for my grandma. The florists really tried to make it look like the photo. I was merely surprised one color was off (orange was not as vibrant with the pink/red/yellow contrast) but they work with what's in season. Many compliments about the bouquet, even from my dad haha. Plenty of roses, Asiatic lilies, alstroemerias, carnations, chrysanthemum, etc. I splurged for Mom's birthday and got the gorgeous Ocean Dance bouquet: hot pink roses, white asiatic lilies, blue hydrangea, fuchsia stock, blue delphinium, raspberry sinuata statice, lemon leaf and spiral eucalyptus showcased in an azure blown glass swirl shaped vase. Friday before Mother's Day was already busy so I preordered a few days before. What grandma doesn't like pink and berries? Gorgeous Glimmer was shorter in size than I'd realized but held together better on my commute home. Roses, mini spray roses, carnations, all in various shades of pink. Sparkly mosaic vase included. Mom also likes classy chic so I ordered the Love Forever with red roses: large white & red roses, white tulips, light pink lisianthus, and seeded eucalyptus in a sleek and elegant silver reflections vase. This one's not just for Valentine's. Mini handwritten message cards with envelopes are free! Choose the occasion and they'll add the right one for you. Customer service has been so nice and accommodating. Also good to note there's only one way in and out of their small parking lot in front for pick ups. It's a bit elevated as well. Delivery also available for a fee. Support local and family owned shops & flower farms! They're bound to create something beautiful. read more

There was a plant I ordered not too long ago for congratulating my Bae for his big promotion. I come to find out today that he said there were no roots and that the florist just stuck them all together. I do recall that day when I had checked on my order I made online they told me they didn't have any orchids so I don't know how they pulled it off. Orchids are suppose to last a good while if taken care of. Guess the price I paid was hefty and not worth for Bae to compliment on. I saw it online and hope they delivered. He told me it didn't last king at all so I'm a bit disappointed. read more

Meh. My bf sent me a large arrangement for our anniversary. Some of the flowers looked like they were on their last legs at the time of delivery. It's only been 2 days and at least half the flowers are now droopy and nearly dead. To have roses that can't even make it 2 days isn't right. One of the lily stems was so short it wasn't ever touching water, so it's dead. Even the filler greens a lot of it came dried out. Not somewhere I would order from, as I'm sure he spent a lot of money for poor quality flowers. read more

I went to the Flower Cottage to get a bouquet, and the first thing to note is you can come in and make a bouquet on the spot, which is exactly what I was going for! The lady at the front was so pleasantly nice and helpful! I told her to create a bouquet on the fly with any purple flowers they had in store, and she made this unique, beautiful, 'smoky' arrangement, as she used, and my wife LOVED it!! It was different from our typical roses-carnation-stargazer lilies type of bouquets, as my creativity isn't the best! But the florist saved the day and arranged her own take on a purple bouquet. I loved this place so much!! I definitely recommend The Flower Cottage for all your on-the-fly, just-because bouquet needs! Cheers! read more

No idea if the delivery people are direct employees, but I had birthday flowers sent to me today. My dog, who is hopped up on drugs post surgery, had come out to inspect. For some bizarre reason, he jumped and snagged the delivery person's mask right off his face. I couldn't believe it and apologized profusely - but he didn't even seem fazed. He was super kind and understanding about the situation - that in and of itself is worth 5 stars, but the flowers were also gorgeous. I have no idea how much it was, as it was a gift, but I'm certainly enjoying them. read more

By far our favorite local florist. We tend to like the trendy arrangements with lilies, succulents and sage green / salmon color palettes. So we were so happy Flower Cottage offered a product we were able to pick up the next day. They tend to get busy so please give them at least 24 hours to work on it. Ordered and paid online. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended! read more

Thank you so so much for taking my super last minute order. I needed flowers for a visit to Gate of Heaven. Not only did she come up with something beautiful basically on the spot, despite having very limited stock on hand, but she really went above and beyond with service--she cut the bouquet to the perfect size for the cup holders used at the site, advised me to keep the flowers in ice water so they'd stay fresh, waited after hours for my husband to pick up the bouquets, and even offered to hold them until the next day for me, in case I couldn't keep them conveniently at home. And of course, the flowers were gorgeous. It breaks my heart that the pandemic is affecting so many local businesses because ones like the Flower Cottage are irreplaceable. read more

My mother in law recently passed away and I needed to send a nice wreath to Piedmont cemetery. I called the Flower Cottage to order one to be sent in two days. I gave them the time of the service. Beautiful flowers, reasonable price. We shopped here many times for Valentines, birthday, mother day, etc. the owner is very nice and patient to our requests. It may be slightly more expensive than grocery stores but the flowers are fresh and the bouquet is customized and look much nicer. And tbh sometimes I was forced to buy more expensive bouquets and grocery store because the cheap ones were all gone or looked very sad even at the start of the day. Here you can ask for a bouquet at the exact price that you can afford (starting from $10) and they will make it look amazing. read more

My Mother-in-Law (A)mentioned that she needed to get a nice flower arrangement for a friend who is ill. J looked on Yelp and found the The Flower Cottage, it's in Sunnyvale and not too far from where A lives. She called ahead and felt comfortable with the choice. We planned to have lunch the next day and decided to stop in after. I put it in my navigation and we were on our way. Things to note: It's located in an unexpected and easy to spot to miss, right where Wolf What a lovely shop. Shame on me for not knowing about this little gem. I DID drive by, so I had to make two u-turns. We were greeted by the owner, a very warm and kind woman. When A mentioned speaking with her her on the phone the previous day, she remembered the conversation immediately. We ordered a beautiful flower arrangement to be picked up in two days. She offered to deliver it, and we agreed. Beautiful arrangement and excellent customer care. read more

Absolutely loved Grace's service. I ordered a wedding bouquet from her and her attention to detail is commendable. I was wearing a non-traditional wedding gown so she asked me to send her a photo of the dress so she could suggest me what would look the best with the color.i suggested that she make something she feels is the best so with her creativity, made me a pretty bouquet of red and orange roses and added a pop of blue to match my dress. Everyone loved my pictures and thanks to Grace they looked better with the flowers. Oh also, I almost forgot that I had an appointment at 5 to pickup but she patiently waited until 5:30. read more

Grace is an absolute angel. She is so incredibly friendly and sweet and easy to work with. I am a pandemic bride and COVID19 ruined our wedding plans, including allowing Grace to work her magic and make our beautifully planned flower arrangements. However, throughout the whole process, she stayed in communication with us and remained extremely flexible as the situation kept changing. We ended up not being able to have our originally planned wedding, but we did do a mini ceremony (what I call a minimony) and Grace made me a beautiful bouquet and my now husband a matching boutonnière. If you are looking for flowers for a wedding in the future or a minimony in your backyard, come to The Flower Cottage! :) read more
