At that point, I had already gone to several places looking for the flowers my daughter really wanted to have in the bouquet, pink lilies. It was really difficult to find in the big box stores, like Costco, Wholefoods, Trader Joe's, or Safeway, so my husband suggested Fleur de Lis, a small business near our home in Mountain View. He said he had great experience in the past and the owner was very nice. Steven was attentive and patient and listened to what I was trying to describe, which was not easy on the phone. I also asked him to make some suggestions. Even though he said he rarely works with lilies in his arrangement (because a lot of people are allergic to them), he was still willing to put together what I wanted for my daughter. After about half an hour on the phone with him, he seemed to know exactly what I wanted and what he was going to do. Pickup was on the day after, but the next day, I was a bit nervous and anxious about how everything turned out and thought if there is the slightest chance that it didn't come out right, I still had time to get something off the shelf even if it wasn't ideal. I reached out to Steven and he sent me a picture. The bouquet looked so elegant! I only asked him to make a slight change and he immediately accommodated. My daughter loved the bouquet and it matched her outfit so elegantly and beautifully! Thank you Steven!

LOVE that they can do a bouquet immediately for those of us who are last minute. minus 1/2 star because EXPENSIVE. minus 1/2 star b/c they wrap beautifully BUT they do not put stems in water gauze or something. so the flowers remain dry stem until you gift them (often hours later for me) but at least the stems were accessible, so I put them in water until I could gift them.

Robert had us come down to the shop, took the time to really listen to what we were envisioning, and then built an example arrangement right in front of us. We were able to make changes live, adjust colors and textures, and watch the design come together until it felt exactly right. That process was so helpful and immediately made us feel comfortable. The final arrangements were absolutely beautiful and fit the overall look of our event perfectly. We received compliment after compliment from our guests throughout the day. When we told people that we had only found Cupertino Florist that Monday, they were genuinely shocked because everything looked so polished and thoughtfully put together. Robert was patient, kind, flexible, and very easy to work with, especially considering how quickly everything had to come together. Interactions like these remind me why it's important to shop locally and support our small businesses. Not only did they create two beautiful pieces that received an enormous number of compliments from the guests (including a well-intended, fastidious mother of the bride), but Bloomsters also created the floral design same-day, delivered the arrangements, and gave me friendly reassurance that they would not falter on the columns in the high winds. I did end up getting a reasonably priced house plant (~$26, sticker says it's from a farm in Half Moon Bay) and a beautiful pinkish 5-stem rose bouquet (~$12) because they looked nice and healthy and I knew they'd make me happy, but the vibe itself here isn't the best compared to other nurseries. This also isn't really a full walk-in florist space. There are some pretty bouquet options to choose from, but it's not as extensive as expected particularly given the other reviews that make it sound like a dedicated florist service. I did see a lot of colorful potted orchids lined up across the front window. Also, overall the items in the gift shop are extremely pricey and up marked -- doesn't seem like much shopping gets done in this space -- and it's less so a quaint country shop vibe and more so try-hard pretentious.
